What I really liked about this episode was the moment where Victor tried to appeal to the Beast to help him climb and was allowed to make a persuasion check against it. Interesting checks like these are what I enjoy from good DMs and it also cemented in my mind that Victor was the heart of the team. He reached out to something that messed with his head not too long ago with no ill will.
