Welcome back to Missing. I am Tim here today
1:11
with Lance. Lance, how are you today? I'm
1:13
doing fantastic today. Thanks so much
1:15
for asking. I hope everybody out
1:18
there is enjoying the very first day of 2024. Tim, how
1:20
are you doing? I'm
1:22
doing great. Thanks a lot for asking.
1:24
Yes, happy to turn that page and
1:26
be here in 2024. Lance,
1:31
this episode is part
1:33
2 of our conversation with
1:35
Dornette Mullings, whose twin brother,
1:37
Calvin Berry, mysteriously went missing
1:39
from his home on March
1:41
10, 2021. Unfortunately,
1:45
his body was found a few days
1:47
later behind his house in a canal.
1:51
We want to let you know that this
1:53
is part 2, so make sure to check
1:55
out part 1. It aired the episode previous
1:58
to this. phone
4:00
inside the bedroom and his keys are at
4:02
home and he
4:05
never came back. Of course,
4:07
when his body was found, because for
4:10
the three days that we're searching, everybody's
4:12
searching, all the searchers are searching for
4:14
this mentally deranged, beer-footed
4:16
person. When he was found,
4:18
he had shoes on and not only did he
4:21
have shoes on, he had shoes, it's a, um,
4:24
skechers that had
4:26
laced and the laced was
4:28
not tied. They were untied
4:30
and they were both still
4:32
on his feet. If
4:34
you drown going into the canal, first
4:36
of all, the canal is there, it's, it's, it's
4:38
mud. Your shoe, your
4:40
shoes would get stuck in the
4:42
mud and it would come off
4:44
your feet. It
4:47
was, the boat shoe was still on his feet.
4:50
How big is, was the canal? I
4:53
have a survey of the canal and I
4:55
want to say it is about 30 feet,
4:58
not maybe 40 feet across
5:00
wide. It's a very long canal,
5:02
but it was about 40 feet wide and
5:05
it's, it's only four and a half feet deep
5:07
at the deepest point in the middle, four and
5:09
a half feet deep. So he literally could walk
5:12
through the canal on the other side. Now,
5:15
if you slip and fall
5:17
at the banks of the canal, you could literally
5:21
sleep there and the next morning just get
5:23
up and walk out because it's
5:25
not deep. Gradually, don't do four and a
5:27
half feet in the middle. The
5:30
canal is running north
5:32
to south, the current is running north
5:34
to south. How does your body
5:36
slip and fall in the canal and
5:38
on the, um, going
5:40
west to east when the current is
5:42
going north to south? The science
5:45
does not work
5:47
that way. Was it
5:50
a particularly strong current? It was not.
5:52
It was not very strong. At
5:55
least at the time when I got the survey
5:57
done, which would have been... Maybe
6:01
six months later, it was
6:04
not a strong current. It's
6:06
low. It seems
6:09
likely that whomever
6:11
put his body there, this is
6:13
deliberate and someone put his
6:16
body there. Whomever put his body there,
6:18
there's a bridge a little north of
6:25
where his body was found. And it seemed
6:27
like someone literally went and just put his
6:29
body over the bridge on
6:32
his back in the canal. And he
6:34
just drifted down until the searchers
6:37
saw his body because they're
6:39
right at his house and they saw
6:41
his body because other neighbors said they
6:43
saw the image on the water
6:48
and they just thought it was a piece of log drifting
6:51
downstream. That was information from other
6:53
searchers? That was from
6:56
the neighbor, from a neighbor. Okay,
6:58
can you take us through what they did
7:00
for the search and how his
7:03
body was missed? Well, they
7:05
did bring out two K-9s and
7:09
the K-9 did not go
7:11
to the back of the house towards
7:14
the canal. And I don't
7:16
know if the K-9 did
7:18
anything in the front because I don't see
7:20
that in the police report but I have
7:22
heard from his wife that
7:25
the K-9 tract is sent in
7:27
the front of the house towards
7:31
the intersection. But
7:34
I have not seen that in the police report.
7:36
So I don't know how accurate that is. The
7:40
drone, they had two drone flights and
7:43
they said they terminated both because
7:45
of very light rain, but
7:48
they were, they
7:51
were, no,
7:54
nothing was found. And so
7:56
the detectives said the Reason
7:59
why she did. Not call
8:01
in a diver was because
8:03
she did not want to
8:05
risk a diverse lies. In
8:08
the can now because there was
8:10
no evidence that he was in
8:13
the in or near the canal.
8:15
So. With that she did not see,
8:17
She did our thing. She should bring in
8:20
a diver and that's why she didn't She
8:22
said she did not bring in a doesn't
8:24
care what what's the risk then if if
8:26
there's a professional diver and four four and
8:29
a half foot deep canal less exactly what
8:31
I would like to know that it makes
8:33
it. Makes. No sense I don't
8:35
understand. and this the Texas has
8:38
done. Really
8:40
very. Questionable things.
8:42
I am quite surprised.
8:45
I've never understood that.
8:47
Law. Enforcement. Would.
8:50
Be so. Outrageous
8:53
in their bias
8:55
and. Doing their
8:58
job, Regardless, of
9:00
who it is. Whether it's a
9:02
high profile person or a little
9:04
joe on the street I cannot
9:07
understand. To this day I'm really
9:09
trying to understand the rationale. Behind.
9:12
What does detective has done? I
9:14
do not understand it. It.
9:17
Makes no sense and I will share.
9:19
With you some of the audio. What
9:21
does Detective. What's. Of the
9:23
it is just blows my mind. Was.
9:26
There ever a surge of his White
9:28
House in any immediate timeframe. Nothing in
9:31
the police report so that they did
9:33
a thorough search when they went to
9:35
the house. There's nothing in the report
9:37
so that me that that. They
9:41
took her words it to everything.
9:43
She said i don't understand it.
9:45
Honestly, I really don't and a couple
9:47
of the stories there were conflicting was
9:49
that she said she had. Woken.
9:52
Up. And. He. Wasn't
9:54
in bed and then he was in the
9:56
kitchen. Taking of the Medicis. Know
9:58
she said she saw. In
10:00
their passwords. And she asked
10:02
him where he's going. I mean, he's in his house
10:05
or season the passage. Maybe maybe
10:07
because it's midnight on.
10:10
I don't know I'm in. his isn't even his
10:12
own house so she wants to be the passes.
10:15
I don't see what's what's the issue but she
10:17
said she asked him where you going and he
10:19
said he's going. She. Told
10:21
me he's going in to get his medication.
10:24
She told others he's going to the garage
10:26
and she daughter's he was the did it
10:28
in. The police reports that it was garbage
10:30
day was going to pick up the garbage
10:33
been have no idea. Yeah the. Information.
10:35
That we had read was that he had something
10:37
to do in the garage and I was just
10:39
thinking about my living situation here and if I
10:41
ever said that to my significant other at that
10:44
time like I have something to do in the
10:46
garage with her First reaction would have been like
10:48
would you have to do in the garage other
10:50
I'm so I'm just wondering like did he have
10:52
like a little workshop or was or something in
10:54
the garage and will bring him in their know.
10:57
Nothing. Know. It's
10:59
a narrative that was created
11:01
is that was. Plotted.
11:04
Us. And
11:06
unfortunately, the Police
11:09
Department. Didn't.
11:11
Not. Delves. Into it
11:13
more did not see that something
11:15
was off and at all the
11:17
soldiers that were involves saw red
11:19
flags all the searchers like red.
11:22
Sox Something is all. Something's not right.
11:24
Something that rights. To the point
11:26
where they were evil doing crime
11:28
stoppers. Tips: Under police did
11:30
nothing about it. They
11:32
were not insistence the I'm confused how
11:34
how their with there was a search
11:36
and and there were dogs who apparently
11:38
got his track at one point but
11:40
he said tracked him to the intersection
11:43
I guess in the street and and
11:45
demand goes behind the house nothing behind.
11:47
The has absolutely nothing and there
11:49
was no. Trap. There's
11:51
no indentation. There was nothing.
11:53
There was no disturbance in
11:55
the grass. There was nothing.
11:58
to indicate him going to them Canal
12:00
to the area of the canal nothing.
12:02
What about this white SUV with
12:05
with no lights on you tell
12:07
spot that The white SUV
12:09
was caught on
12:11
the neighbor surveillance camera And
12:14
the other thing about this is that in
12:16
when it was daylight and
12:18
the neighbor got up and saw all the police Activities
12:21
it's the direct neighbor He
12:23
went over to inquire or they went over to
12:25
inquire I'm not sure if it's the wife or the husband to
12:27
inquire what was happening and they were told that
12:30
Calvin was missing by the wife so they
12:32
went back to their house and they looked
12:34
at their camera and they saw the image
12:36
of this white SUV that Stopped
12:39
at his house with no lights
12:41
on and then quickly sped off The
12:44
neighbor went back over and
12:47
told the police we have some
12:49
footage. She was not interested She
12:51
never went to look The
12:54
neighbor then
12:56
called the station and Left
12:59
her a message. I have camera
13:01
footage that you could take a look at please.
13:04
She never responded She
13:06
never went it got to the point where
13:09
the neighbor's camera. It's not
13:11
a ring camera it's one of those cameras that you
13:13
purchased from Sam's
13:15
Club and It overrides.
13:17
I think in 10 days so
13:21
the neighbor Wanting
13:24
to get the
13:26
attention of the police department copied
13:30
it on a USB
13:33
drive and literally Took
13:35
it into the police station with
13:38
a note That said this
13:40
is in reference to Calvin Barry's house
13:42
and left it at the front desk
13:45
at the reception area at the police
13:47
station And this is how the detective
13:49
has never went to talk with this
13:51
neighbor We later found
13:53
out That the
13:55
younger daughter owns a white
13:57
SUV that we were not aware of because
14:00
she's married. So she and her husband owns
14:02
a whiteness ring that we were
14:04
not aware of. So I
14:06
don't know if it's involved, but
14:09
at least it should be looked into. How much
14:11
is on the video? Is there a license plate on the
14:14
video? Or can you tell the make and model? Very
14:16
grainy. I got a copy of it and it's very
14:18
grainy. It needs some more high-tech
14:21
SBI type technical
14:24
analysis. So the license
14:27
plate isn't readily, isn't easy
14:29
to read on there? For me, it was not.
14:31
No, it was not. How
14:34
did you get access to the video? I
14:37
requested it through public records. Oh,
14:40
okay. And you were able to get it because
14:42
the case was closed? Because it was closed
14:44
at the time. Yes. Now it's
14:46
reopened. So I don't think you can
14:48
get anything now, but I was able to obtain
14:51
just about all the records before
14:53
it got reopened. And I must
14:56
tell you, it was reopened because
14:58
after the first, the
15:00
medical examiner rules and everything, I said, no,
15:02
no, no, no, no, something is not right.
15:04
Something is strange. And I
15:06
had no problems with his wife and daughters,
15:09
really. We had a
15:11
reasonably okay relationship. She's not someone that I would
15:13
call and said, let's go have dinner, but
15:16
I can call her if I needed to, or she called me
15:19
if she needed to, not frequently. But
15:21
she completely cut off everybody. She
15:23
cut us off completely. She's not
15:25
answering our questions. She just completely
15:28
cut us off. So
15:30
I made an appointment and
15:32
I went and met with the chief
15:34
of police. And there were two things that was
15:36
really troubling me. One
15:39
was the Benadryl
15:43
and two, there
15:45
was a call that came in
15:47
on my brother's phone that
15:50
before his body was found on
15:53
the Saturday. So on the Friday evening, I
15:55
was there. My husband and I
15:57
were there and some other friends and family. And
16:00
she literally held this phone and
16:03
showed us about six
16:06
calls on his phone. And
16:08
it said it was from a private
16:11
number. And she said to us, it
16:13
could be a kidnapping. Look, these calls came in and
16:15
it could be a kidnapping. But
16:18
what I noticed was the last call, the
16:21
other five calls were not answered. But the
16:23
last one was answered. And what
16:25
was unique about it was that it was answered at 2.54
16:27
a.m. Now,
16:31
she said he was missing at midnight or 12.30, dear
16:33
about. She called 911 at
16:35
1.30. 911
16:39
was at her house with three or four police
16:41
officers by 1.40. This
16:44
call came in at 2.54. There
16:48
were three or four police officers at the
16:51
house with her at the time. The daughters were
16:53
not there. It was just her and
16:55
those officers. And the call
16:57
came in at 2.54 a.m. And it was
16:59
answered. It showed that it was answered. She was on the
17:01
phone for 54 seconds. So
17:03
I said to her, this call
17:05
was answered. Who answered the call? She told me
17:07
she did. So I said, well, who
17:10
was on the other line? She said, nobody. They never answered.
17:12
She did not know because they never
17:14
answered. I said, OK. But
17:16
it struck me as odd because
17:19
this is a critical time of a missing
17:21
person search. You're
17:24
still searching, diligently searching
17:26
within a couple of
17:28
hours. And on
17:30
his phone, a call came in.
17:33
The police should know about that call. They
17:35
should be tracing that call. And when
17:38
I spoke to the
17:40
police department, they said they knew nothing of it.
17:43
How could you not know of it? They took
17:45
my brother's phone and they did a forensic download
17:47
of his phone. It was there.
17:50
But they said they did not know about it. So
17:53
when I met with the chief, I said, chief, the
17:56
phone company knows who made this call. The
17:58
display shows private. phone company news
18:00
who made this call. So could
18:02
you please look into it? You have to subpoena
18:05
the records. He said he would. In
18:07
addition, I said the
18:09
Benadryl, because I had gone a little
18:12
bit further and I called Johnson
18:15
& Johnson, who was the maker of Benadryl,
18:17
Poison Control Line. And
18:20
I said, with this level
18:23
of Benadryl, what
18:25
would a person do? And they
18:27
said to me that that level
18:29
of Benadryl, the only thing you can do
18:31
is crash on your couch. So
18:33
to me, he could not even walk outside. So
18:35
how would he get in the canal? So Chief,
18:39
you've got to look into this, please. The
18:42
two most important things that I, there are lots
18:44
of other things that I could have discussed with the
18:46
Chief, but you know, I said, whatever
18:48
the detectives did, I'm not even going to go
18:50
there. I just want them to go to look
18:52
into what's going on and give me answers. And
18:54
the Chief said he would. A month
18:57
later, he calls me and
18:59
he said, the case is
19:01
closed. It's no longer active. We're
19:04
done. I said,
19:06
Chief, really did you subpoena the records?
19:09
His internal attorney told
19:11
him that he did not have probable cause
19:14
to subpoena the records. I said,
19:17
Chief, a
19:19
dead body in his backyard is
19:21
not enough probable cause. You
19:24
know what he said to me? Are you going to
19:26
nitpick everything we do? That's what the Chief said to
19:28
me. I
19:31
said, Chief, you're done, but I'm not
19:33
done because something is off.
19:36
And this is when I went on social
19:38
media and I started and I went on
19:40
TV and I started. I just could not
19:42
accept what was going on. It made no
19:45
sense on top of the
19:47
police department. It just
19:50
blows my mind. I thought I was working
19:53
with a third world country police department.
19:56
It Just blew my mind. And We'll be
19:59
right back. After a quick word from our
20:01
sponsors. Thanks.
20:03
To our sponsors the now we're back to the
20:05
program. Want. To.
20:08
Revisit! The phone call again Just so I
20:10
have it straight my head. The.
20:12
Phone call came in to your brothers phone.
20:14
Yes, And he was answered.
20:17
And. He was answered by is less.
20:20
Your brother's wife If okay. This.
20:23
But. She never alerted the police about
20:25
it. She never told us
20:27
that activity looking see reported nine on
20:30
one emergency that is missing on a
20:32
call came into his phone while the
20:34
police were there and see never reported.
20:37
It to the police and when did
20:39
she call you? Three am.
20:41
And. The phone call that she answered. Look.
20:44
At to sister four and six minutes before
20:46
she called the correct correct and she didn't
20:48
mention that she just grown ups a series
20:50
of phone calls in the last when she
20:52
just the uncertainties in. Here. None of
20:54
that. See. Only sold it
20:56
to me and she literally held the phones
20:58
and sold. It and it's on and said
21:01
this could be a kidnapping because looks he had
21:03
all these particles winded. the protocol start. I.
21:05
Think it was. I will have to go
21:07
metal I since March fourth I want to
21:09
say i'm I'm. On
21:12
my be incorrect but somewhere around there
21:14
so there probably were like to one
21:16
March fourth and then there was. Early
21:18
and them in like two or three the earlier
21:20
that day and and. That. One or
21:23
two sister for an. If. This was
21:25
a kidnapping. What would be? the? Ransom
21:28
What's the purpose of it was was
21:30
a financially well off. There was the
21:32
Ransom request. There. Was a
21:34
ransom. Request was made no
21:36
sense on. The. Friday
21:38
before his body was found.
21:42
On his son Michael.a
21:44
message from. A
21:47
number. On that said
21:49
that they had him and he
21:51
was very sick and they were
21:53
demanding seven. Thousand dollars for
21:56
his return. And.
21:58
One of the other daughter, the younger. also
22:00
got the same message. As
22:03
soon as I drove up to the house and I saw all
22:05
the police and they told me I said let's pay
22:07
it. Let's pay the ransom
22:09
right away. I'm ready to pay. And
22:12
the police said no let's investigate a little further
22:14
to see you know
22:17
it could be a scam, it could be
22:19
let's investigate. And they did later on about
22:21
9.30 that evening they brought
22:24
them into the police station
22:26
and they did their own
22:28
discussion because I don't really call
22:30
it an interview. They did a discussion
22:32
and we have the video of that
22:34
discussion. It's very alarming. And
22:36
who's the discussion with again? The two daughters,
22:39
my nephew Michael and the investigator.
22:43
And what is alarming about it? The behavior of
22:45
the two daughters on the video.
22:48
Can you talk about the defibrillator
22:51
and was
22:53
there a rapid heartbeat that
22:55
it reported? There was a
22:57
rapid heartbeat from
23:00
the report at I want
23:02
to say maybe 2.30 in the morning
23:05
that quickly corrected itself. It
23:07
says none sustained. So
23:09
it quickly corrected itself and did not
23:12
need the defibrillator to correct
23:14
it. So he
23:17
was still alive at that time. And
23:19
that was at 1.40 you said? That was at
23:22
2.13 yes. So
23:24
it was almost like his heart maybe sped
23:26
up or maybe skipped a beat or something?
23:28
Correct but there are not
23:30
as high an episode but there
23:32
are previous episodes of the same
23:35
rapid heartbeat that quickly corrected itself. In
23:37
February and other from the history it
23:39
showed that it occurred before. I mean
23:41
it sounds pretty normal for somebody who
23:43
had a heart condition that they're I
23:45
mean everyone has like a moment where
23:47
their heart speeds up and then flows
23:49
down. And the defibrillator
23:52
never showed
23:54
any kind of therapy from the defibrillator.
23:57
Any kind of therapy like it didn't correct.
26:00
The detectives in the report
26:02
said there was no ring cameras,
26:04
there was nothing, no video, no
26:06
neighbor or anything. Well,
26:09
when I hired my
26:11
accident consultant, he went
26:13
through the neighbor and he counted And
26:16
the detective said there was nothing. So
26:19
this is how my accident
26:22
consultant was able to go back to the
26:24
police department and show them a number of
26:26
things, including our
26:28
pathologists, our forensic pathologists that
26:31
showed there was no water in his lungs. There
26:33
are all these other things that were never looked at.
26:35
There is a question about the levels
26:38
of Benadryl and that's
26:41
how we were able to get the
26:43
case reopened back in October of last
26:45
year. And it's still currently
26:48
an active criminal investigation now. Now,
26:50
when you said that the detectives told you that
26:52
there was no security cameras,
26:54
did they say there was no footage
26:56
from security cameras showing your brother or
26:58
there was no cameras? She
27:01
never told me it's in the report. It's
27:04
in the report that there were no cameras,
27:06
no neighbors cameras. I'm not sure I would
27:09
have to go back to read it if
27:11
it said that nothing captured anything, but she
27:13
never spoke to any neighbor, none
27:16
with a camera. Was there a sighting of him around 3
27:18
a.m.? There was
27:20
someone who reported that there was
27:22
some sighting, but we don't think
27:24
it's relating
27:26
to him. And the
27:29
police went to the site and found
27:31
nothing. And that was just like an eyewitness
27:33
report that wasn't from camera
27:35
footage? No, no, no. That was someone
27:37
called in to the station. I see. And
27:40
there was nothing. A neighbor? I
27:44
don't remember if it's a neighbor or if it's
27:46
someone driving by. I seem
27:48
to remember someone saying that they were
27:50
going somewhere or dropping someone off or
27:52
something and they spotted him. And
27:55
They called and said they just saw him or they
27:57
saw him and then the police raced over there and
27:59
there was nothing. It's odd.
28:01
It's very strange. It's very
28:03
odd. Yeah, So. Where
28:06
do you go from here? Well.
28:09
I'm very vocal about it
28:11
because. Who. Wouldn't me
28:13
and is why Food me.
28:15
So we have a civil
28:17
lawsuit weights we expect to
28:20
have a trial in August
28:22
of next, a schedule for
28:24
August of next year. So.
28:27
Somehow. I will get answers
28:29
either by. The criminal investigation
28:31
Or the civil lawsuit? We.
28:34
Will get answers. I. Just
28:36
want to. I think
28:38
this is probably my last question, but I
28:40
wanted to ask about any motive that would
28:42
be. Game. Door Financial is
28:45
one and also a foreign
28:47
woman. What's the finance situation?
28:49
While he was thirty years of post office,
28:51
think about the pension and the. Other
28:54
stuff and all of that
28:56
goes to his significant other. Was.
29:00
Criminally charged Self. Sees.
29:02
The next of kin. And them in am
29:04
very vocal about it and I will not
29:07
rest. I will. Ice I cannot. I
29:09
hope I it's something that I
29:11
must do for my brother does
29:13
indicate him until civilian kill. Me:
29:15
Because and we from. The beginning
29:17
From day one, all I'm asking
29:19
These Police. Are. This Police
29:21
Department. Is. To look into
29:23
these things, something is not
29:26
right. Who. Would. Take
29:28
the entire belongings of their
29:31
house after. A
29:33
love one just passed away and just dump
29:35
them all. On the street. Dining
29:38
Table with tears piano. To
29:40
computers, all these things are only
29:42
on the street. Who does that?
29:45
And Why do Salvation Army?
29:47
The Wood. Furniture Good
29:49
stuff. There. Is donation but
29:51
to dump them on the
29:54
street. To. Does that?
29:56
Used. To forget the pictures of that in the. The
30:00
Pdf that. That you
30:02
sent us. Oh I mean you not really
30:04
exaggerating? They are. It does look like someone
30:06
just push them off the backwards of a
30:08
truck. Went. And a
30:10
neighbor ended up calling
30:13
code enforcement. To clean it up. Because.
30:15
It was sitting. there is an eyesore.
30:17
People came and took what they wanted
30:19
and what was left. A neighbor had
30:22
to call code enforcement to get it
30:24
cleaned up. Who. Does
30:26
desks, And why Under
30:28
several other things I am very.
30:31
Limited. In all the things that
30:33
I can say because us the pending
30:36
investigation and the that a lawsuit but
30:38
there are several. This. Is
30:40
just the tip of the iceberg? There several.
30:43
That makes no sense. Wow, well
30:45
done and we'd love to have
30:47
you back for an update at
30:49
some point or but it is.
30:51
There anything else you'd like to
30:53
say here today. While. I'm
30:56
marking on knowing what the
30:58
laws are in. The state of Florida
31:00
that I did not know before. I guess the
31:02
A sign these things out when year
31:04
directly involved in these situations. And
31:07
I remember communicating with one
31:09
of the sergeant at the
31:11
police station and I said
31:14
to him. Something. Is
31:16
all something is Not right? And
31:18
he said to me remember Oj
31:21
Simpson. They. Knew that he did
31:23
it but they could not signed the evidence.
31:25
To prove that he did it. But. You
31:27
can file a lawsuit you should vote you
31:30
can salah as a wrongful death lawsuit. So.
31:33
If we don't find anything you could final
31:35
follow wrongful death lawsuit. I
31:37
cannot sell or on for that loss. Was in the
31:40
state of Florida. As
31:42
him not on my brother's son.
31:44
My nephew Michael also said that
31:46
because the laws in the state
31:48
of Florida said ah I'm the
31:51
only person that could fall or
31:53
wrongful death lawsuit. Is the representative
31:55
of the a state. She's.
31:57
A representative of be a states. I.
32:00
Can not fall along for that. Losses. So
32:04
imagine. The. Gift she gave
32:06
me when she saw me. For.
32:09
Defamation. So. That's
32:11
her lawsuit. this against us
32:13
for defamation? Correct? correct? But
32:17
that was. Biggest. Why?
32:21
Is it a gift? Khazar? There's more information
32:23
coming or. It allows me and
32:25
my attorney. To do discovery.
32:28
So now. We. Can
32:31
do. What a police department did not
32:33
do. Right because if her
32:35
lawsuit is. Claiming. A You
32:37
defamed her with these accusations. Then
32:40
you have to look into all
32:42
of the accusations. She's. Opening
32:44
up all the book in order to
32:46
free her own. the burden of proof
32:48
is on her. We are My hands
32:50
were tied, I had like some what
32:52
can I do and sulks. I was.
32:55
Alluding to this of the fact that I ended
32:57
up. Starting. To
32:59
get a bill drafted
33:02
into Florida legislature to
33:04
allow for a second.
33:07
Investigation. In on on
33:10
charts on naturals. Death by
33:12
an. Independent. Agency.
33:15
For I'm working on that. Know
33:17
that's that's really cool. So getting
33:20
a bill pass it's a family
33:22
member can can request a second.
33:25
Independent investigation. By a
33:28
different agency rates which. Would.
33:30
Be a state agency or a
33:32
neighboring agency. Now. That's great That's
33:34
great. I could help out that could help available
33:36
on it'll just some bullets and. And. I can
33:39
tell you this is not an easy. Road
33:41
to be going down.
33:43
It's costly. It's emotionally
33:46
draining. It's physically draining.
33:48
but. Somebody.
33:51
Has to do it. And
33:53
just think of that many
33:55
people before me that. Got.
33:58
No justice because. A
34:00
police department will decide that oh your
34:02
life was not worth it. You.
34:04
Want Less was not worth it for us to do
34:07
any investigation so we just saw that and move on
34:09
to the next. So. Diligently.
34:12
Working on all these other things,
34:14
an arm of course, defending myself
34:16
in a defamation lawsuit, And
34:19
hopefully we'll get a It's been over a year.
34:21
Know that this instead of criminal investigation
34:23
was reopened and and no update Nothing!
34:25
While they don't really tell months they
34:28
don't where they tell you much and
34:30
I mean as even gone to the
34:32
F I. And they
34:34
don't really have the to. I
34:36
guess we have to wait until
34:38
they're finished to to get a
34:40
sense of where. What they
34:43
found eagerly waiting because. All.
34:45
That I have and I have seen.
34:48
I don't know. What? This Police
34:50
Department could tell me. Other
34:52
than. You know?
34:54
ah and and of us are charged any.
34:56
I don't see what else they could do
34:59
on. Definitely keep us updated. Incredible
35:01
story. Yeah. Really?
35:04
Well done in know compiling all this
35:06
