In this episode of Money, She Talked, Rebecca Davidson, an investment director from Tilney, quizzes Deborah Gilshan and Kate Capocci on the growing trend for Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) investments. Deborah is an independent adviser on investment stewardship, corporate governance, sustainable finance and diversity, and Kate is the responsible investment lead at Smith & Williamson.

We live in a world now where investors, at all levels, increasingly put more social responsibility on their financial decisions. Traditionally, responsible investing has translated to ethical investing and avoiding companies we just don’t like. But the trend is changing. As Deborah and Kate discuss, savers are finding their voices and expecting those who invest on their behalf to act as stewards, encouraging better practices at the companies they’re investing with, and influencing positive change.
