Balancing the Unexpected Callings with Kristi Collie. This episode is a part of a new series that highlights the joys and challenges of motherhood, and how several women embrace this layer of identity. In this episode, we discuss the unexpected journey Kristi encountered going from her work as a construction engineer to being called to balance motherhood, her identity in God, and homeschooling.

Kristi Lee Collie, M.Eng, is an engineer by training with degrees from Taylor University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). She has over 5 years of construction project management and 2 years of college math/physics tutoring experience. Currently, she is a stay at home mom but hopes to find the perfect balance between her family life and her career one day (when the kids are older). One of Kristi’s biggest passions is encouraging and helping others. Being a mother has pushed her even more to make a difference in the lives of little ones. She and her sister work together to write books under the author name "Brooke & Lee". They aim to help give kids a solid foundation by blending Christian based stories with stimulating activities in hopes to inspire creativity, uniqueness, and meaning for every child everywhere.

She and her husband, Wendell, are parents of twin boys, James & Gabriel, and one sweet boy, Micah. This family of five (5) truly believes and strives to live by Joshua 24:15: “…as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
