The KAJX Podcast is a medium which allows event live commentary to be heard online. Focusing on dirt bike events, the KAJX Podcast’s birth was at the 2013 KTM Australian Junior Motocross Championships held at the Horsham Motorcycle Club. With a broadcast length of 43 hours and 1 minutes live from the event, which included 7 days of commentary and the presentation evening. With 10, 501 listeners for the week-long event, the biggest Australian Junior Motocross racing event of the year, the KAJX podcast delivered exposure that no other junior motocross national event has had in Australian history.“I stated interviewing junior riders to give them experience chatting with the media, which then transformed into post race interviews.” Kendall Jennings, “By giving younger riders the opportunity to learn and iron out jitters, I have really enjoyed seeing riders develop. In 2013, I supplied the infrastructure for the Junior Aussies. The whole idea on broadcasting live was influenced by American podcast The Pulpmx Show. Using my youthful background in music, I was able to make use of components that where in storage, as when I broke my wrist in 2004, I lost movement range in my right wrist which made playing the bass guitar and piano extremely difficult and painful. I was diagnosed with major depression and placed on medication 2012/13, and it was the podcast project, working with Kenny Watts and the Horsham Motorcycle Club which assisted me through a dark period and I am extremely grateful. As an active member of the Horsham Motorcycle Club, the KAJX Podcast supports club events and the Western Region. To keep visitors visiting KAJX.net website, I supported the audio project with a webzine. In 2015, the KAJX.NET webzine and audio project became the main focus of KAJX Communications and will continue to be in 2016 and the foreseeable future.”
