Many artists mistakenly put all their efforts into getting onto Spotify playlists. While Spotify's own playlists such as Release Radar and Discover Weekly are very valuable, user created playlists can be over valued. Musicians spend hours finding and contacting playlist curators, often with little success. Is it really worth the effort?
