Overall series review for TPBP:Loved the sound design, LOVED the theme, loved the setting, loved the characters. This series does a beautiful job of illuminating and inverting the painful, terrifying transience of young adulthood. Definitely my favorite coming of age found family narrative in recent years, and a rare and fascinating perspective on cult dynamics. The whole cast was incredible, including background characters — look out for those fun RQ cameos! — but I was especially taken with the leads, particularly Phi Hamens Nelson as Will. Also, it must be said: Dori/an’s self discovery really elevated the mood of the overarching plot and it was a treat to hear other characters using multiple names and pronouns for her. We absolutely love to see it. As harrowing as this kind of story can be, my heart was warm at the end of it.
