This podcast is doing a fantastic job with the language. Between the mid-Atlantic accents and the propensity of the characters to describe everything scandalous through high brow metaphor (there's an extended metaphor that compares sex to playing a musical instrument and I am not mature enough to not have giggled my way through it), they’ve done a very precise job of evoking the post-war era and class that they were going for. I haven't even gotten to the whole sci-fi cigarette as treatment for traumatic exposure to reality bubbles. Yes, reality bubbles!
