I didn't think I'd fall in love with Neoscum when I first started to listen to it, but holy moly was I ever wrong! Ranging wildly from hilarious to crude to touching, with great sound editing (shout-out to Casey!), I'm always thrilled to hear when a new episode has dropped.
Phenomenal show with an amazing fan community. The whole cast is great and the range of their performances is so broad. Heartwarming to ridiculous to lewd to tear-jerking. The setting and characters Gannon presents are so captivating. The editing and music selection are top-notch as well. Do not miss this.
The funniest punch-you-in-the-gut actual play I've ever encountered. Shadowrun antics from a group of incredibly talent improv comedians, with some incredible ear candy and a rockin soundtrack. Makes me want to chug some Dak Fuel and do burnouts.
Neoscum earned its stripes as a comedy, and my heart with the player characters' relationships. Also, Dack Rambo never fails to please. He and Tech Wizard are my favorite characters.
This show is a wild ride through a very rude future with some of the most lovable misfits around. I love hanging out with these sweet knuckleheads
Y'all? NeoScum good.Every part of this show, from its incredible music to its masterful editing to the deeply funny and charismatic people in it, rules. This show rules. The community surrounding this show rules. You wouldn't expect a podcast that delights so completely in chaos and depravity to be touching, but it really is. There's a core of genuine fondness and affection to the characters that you feel, and you feel it when they're in danger- both for your own fears for their safety and the fears of their friends. It's a good goddamn show.
The king of Shadowrun Actual Plays that largely ignores the official canon of Shadowrun in favour of constructing their own urban fantasy/cyperpunk dystopia built around the criminals and working stiffs left behind by the rampant capitalism of the world.
