I started as a casual No Simple Road listener this past summer, and quickly realized it was what I needed most (right at a time where there was no live music and very little to distract me). I was raised on the Dead so have a deep appreciation for their music, but I love that this podcast goes so much further - it's truly more than just a Grateful Dead podcast! The hosts (Aaron, Apple, Mel, Ryder and the whole crew) each have such unique perspectives that all meld together in a beautiful way, and each episode is totally unique - but somehow, reliable (you know you're gonna have a laugh, hear some real talk, and feel some emotions). I heard this podcast described as "like putting on a cozy, warm blanket" and I have to echo that sentiment - when I feel lost or need to escape my thoughts, No Simple Road is my safe space to envelop myself in. If you're into music history and the impact the Dead has had on the world - as well as completely random, hilarious, and very real conversations - I can't recommend No Simple Road enough!
