"I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to leave" . . . Paul Donovan's 1983 action-thriller SIEGE--aka SELF DEFENSE, aka NIGHT WARRIORS, aka NEW YORK 1991--is inspired by the real-life Halifax Police Strike of 1981. The film features a lawless city, terrorized by a group of proud-boys, who target and kill the patrons of a LGBT club. One of the patrons escapes and finds refuge in the safety in the company Horatio (Tom Nardini) and his crew, who are willing to fight back.
