Prior to World War II, Oradour-sur-Glane was a peaceful community in France. However, in 1944, the village was completely destroyed by German soldiers who killed 643 men, women, and children and then proceeded to set the village ablaze. Today, visitors have the opportunity to explore the remains of the original town, where they will find decaying walls, cars, and various household objects that have remained untouched for nearly 80 years.
