The ACDC Design Strategy Forum in October, 2010 was a significant event in the Unlimited: Designing for the Asia Pacific inaugural triennial program. In response to the changing nature of practice and the blurred boundaries of design, the Forum envisioned a future with greater recognition for the value of design.The forum, facilitated by Oliver Freeman, managing director The Neville Freeman Agency, explored the question of the role of design in contemporary visual culture and how practitioners - and the organisations representing them - progress within this new realm of “design as solution” and “designer as global artisan”.
