In this series Jocelyn and I discuss the idea that the world tells us that we need certain things (approval of others, money, success, control, pride, power, etc.) to feel happy, fulfilled, secure, and loved. Yet none of these things will ever accomplish this goal; they will only leave us emptier than before. This episode in particular we talked about the idol of success. We talk about how most people from the second they're born they are pushed to need to succeed (grades, sports, career, college, etc.). Yet only Jesus himself can fulfill us in all the ways the things in the world can't because He has created us specifically to be most fulfilled, secure, loved, and at peace  when we are in a relationship with Him.
