Eisenstein was a professor at Ithaca College for 35 years and is now aDistinguished Scholar and professor Emeritus. She is author of many booksincluding “Against Empire: Feminisms, Racism and the West”  and“Manmade Breast Cancers.”In 1988, at age 40, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and in 2008yet another ovarian-type cancer was found. We’ll talk about her personaljourney with cancer, a disease that has also affected many members of herfamily.
