For the show's first episode, I called up my friend Matt Jackson. Matt recently graduated from NC State's college of education and he's gearing up to begin his career by teaching at the middle school where we first met. Schooling and education has been a hot topic of national debate, so I wanted to talk with him about what he's experienced and how he thinks about North Carolina's education policies. We also cover his circuitous journey through college before he found education and we touch on the loss of faith in science during the pandemic.
