The delicious ice cold taste of Dr. Pepper

0:02

has a lasting effect on people. Lindsay from

0:04

Sacramento said... Pro tip, 40 degrees is the

0:06

perfect temperature for an ice cold Dr. Pepper. Why

0:08

is 40 degrees the perfect temperature for Dr.

0:11

Pepper? We brought in Sue from Duluth, Minnesota to

0:13

tell us. Oh yeah, I know a thing or two

0:15

about cold. Oh, that right there is the

0:17

perfect kind of ice cold for Dr. Pepper. Mmm,

0:20

I'd share that with my friend Nancy. She likes

0:22

Dr. Pepper too, you know. My coldest... Alright, that'll

0:24

be all, Sue. Having a perfect temperature for

0:26

your Dr. Pepper? It's a Pepper thing. Inspired

0:28

by Real Fan posts. This

0:33

is Beyond a Reasonable Doubt with

0:36

your hosts Mark Garagas and

0:39

Gary Smith. Oh,

0:42

yeah, I'm GPS. How are you today?

0:44

Happy Easter. I'm well, Mark. Happy Easter

0:46

to you. Thank you.

0:48

Did you take the little one, egg

0:51

hunting, or did you fall down on your

0:53

obligation? No, he got his basket this morning.

0:55

He's currently at church, and then we will

0:57

be doing an egg hunt at the house

1:00

later this afternoon. Very good.

1:02

You know, I will not say who,

1:04

but I have given much grief to

1:06

somebody for... I

1:09

don't know. I think it's... I

1:12

could construct a whole theory

1:14

about the fact that

1:16

if you take your kids trick or

1:18

treating, but not an Easter egg hunt,

1:20

that there's a satanic

1:23

influence that I

1:25

could really go deep on that. Yeah, that's certainly

1:27

an easy argument to make. But

1:29

no, he's been excited for the Easter Bunny

1:31

for several weeks now, and we're having the

1:34

whole family over at our house today this

1:36

afternoon for a probably rain-filled egg hunt. Wait,

1:39

how old is the little one now? He

1:42

is closer to five than four. Okay.

1:45

So does the big

1:47

Easter Bunny scare him or not?

1:50

No, not anymore. No, he was visited at his

1:52

school this week by an Easter Bunny, and he

1:55

was just rife with excitement to tell me about

1:57

it when I got home. It

1:59

really is. Because of all of the

2:01

holidays that have entered the secular sphere,

2:05

it really is a very special

2:07

day. So happy Easter to

2:09

everyone who's watching, to my Greek friends, I think

2:13

you don't celebrate until May for some

2:15

reason this year. I would

2:17

say I prefer that because personally as

2:19

a Catholic who's used to Easter, I

2:21

don't like this March business. Yeah,

2:24

it's relatively rare to have a March Easter.

2:26

Yeah, absolutely. And I prefer it to go

2:29

back to normal, so I'm looking forward to

2:31

next year. Okay, you got

2:33

it. Okay, as

2:35

much as you and I would love

2:37

to do a postmortem on Funny Willis,

2:39

for those who are watching and have

2:41

been watching for the last two months,

2:44

that case is now up on appeal. The

2:46

judge certified it to go up on

2:48

appeal. What everybody

2:51

at least chattering around in my world is

2:53

talking about this week is none other than?

2:57

He did. Yeah, yeah. Earthwhile

3:01

client, quite

3:03

a show of force. Do you have

3:05

any video of the... There

3:07

were two search words. I told Gary, for

3:10

all of you in the comments who talk

3:12

about the serial killer dead eyes, that

3:14

Gary has given a very cogent explanation as

3:17

to why that is, where I don't warn

3:19

him as to what I've been asked. And

3:21

he's trying to look at the camera while

3:24

searching at the same time, which is why

3:26

he's got that far away hotel, Bristol

3:29

Hotel look. But

3:34

the search words, which were executed by

3:36

Department of Homeland Security, were done both

3:38

at the Holmby Hills House, which is

3:41

quite a house, and the Star House.

3:43

On Combs, a rapper and music... There's

3:47

another example of how it works when we don't

3:49

get to pre-plan. Sorry, I was trying to pull

3:51

some video there. We're doing

3:54

it extemporaneously. So maybe you

3:56

could play it, then we'll

3:58

just circle back. Florida

4:00

and LA were the two places. Yeah, absolutely.

4:02

Let's see here. Let me see if I

4:04

can pull this up. Sorry,

4:08

it's uh, yeah, there there was uh, the

4:10

one in um The

4:12

one in la was followed closely by

4:14

some of the the press. I saw

4:17

steve gregory from kfi Which is on

4:19

our local radio stations was following the

4:21

investigators on combs the rap and

4:25

music Wow Uh

4:27

as they as they raided the house,

4:29

but here's one of the videos that

4:32

we have that shows some of the

4:34

raid from I believe a uh a

4:37

Helicopter that was hovering close above

4:40

on combs the rapper and music

4:42

executive perhaps being linked to

4:44

a sex trafficking Investigation,

4:46

we got some shots of a few people coming

4:48

out of the home Those people have

4:51

been detained now. We're trying to still connect

4:53

the dots We do have some sources on scenes

4:55

here that we're getting this information from We're

4:58

actually the first ones here with about

5:00

30 different law

5:02

enforcement vehicles at least there's three bear

5:04

cats on scene here This is just on

5:06

salutist andra. I would say Less

5:08

than 10 minutes ago. We got here even before

5:10

the crime scene tape came up So,

5:13

uh, we're just down the hill if you look

5:15

up the street where tony is right now to the

5:17

right You'll see one of those bear cats and law

5:19

enforcement Other side of

5:21

this bushes basically is that home that

5:23

is registered to bad boy films? Which

5:26

is part of bad boy entertainment and

5:28

the home in particular is registered

5:30

not only bad boy films But to one

5:33

of key ditties daughters, they are heavily armed

5:35

and they've been very tactical Would

5:37

probably be the best word to use as

5:39

they made entry into this home This

5:42

afternoon we actually watched them as they made

5:44

through their made their way through one of

5:46

these Side gates and as soon as they

5:48

got inside the home One of the things

5:50

their first things they did was made their

5:52

way into this garage that you see is

5:54

open right there Now they did take a

5:56

couple people into custody. We witnessed that now.

5:58

Are they under arrest? Are they just being

6:01

asked about what they know? Very

6:05

interesting. For those of you who aren't

6:07

watching the tape, you had a

6:10

swarm of Homeland

6:13

Security agents who were dressed like

6:15

they were invading Fallujah or

6:19

the withdrawal from Afghanistan, literally

6:22

down to the look on

6:24

them and then walking people

6:26

out, hands on the head,

6:28

backwards, guns

6:31

drawn. Yeah, and I believe a

6:33

couple of those people who you see there, maybe

6:36

not necessarily exactly in the video, but a couple

6:38

of them were his two sons, his teenage sons

6:40

who I believe are in their late teens. Yeah,

6:43

this was a show of force, the

6:46

likes of which I can't remember. I mean, I don't

6:48

know if you've got the Roger

6:50

Stone video, but it's

6:54

quite a show of force here on

6:57

a case that, mind

7:00

you, one

7:02

of the things that the reporter said

7:04

there, which I found interesting, is the

7:06

reporters were there prior to

7:08

the crime scene tape even being put

7:11

up. What a coincidence. They just

7:13

happened to be in the neighborhood in Holmby

7:15

Hills and just happened to

7:17

have helicopters overhead and just happened

7:19

to be getting film

7:22

footage of a search warrant,

7:24

presumably a secret search warrant

7:27

that was signed

7:29

by a federal magistrate under

7:32

guarded secrecy with

7:35

an affidavit signed by an affiliate.

7:37

And somehow the media was able

7:39

to get there just out of

7:41

nowhere coincidentally and watch the execution

7:44

of that warrant. Doesn't that blow

7:46

you away? Yeah, it's hard to

7:48

believe, but Also, not that

7:50

hard to believe because I'm downloading right now

7:52

and I'm about to show you a video

7:54

that I referenced earlier of Steve Gregory from

7:57

KFI who was following Homeland Security as they

7:59

approached the. It's not, it's

8:01

just, you know. I would say hard

8:03

to believe that. definitely not given how

8:05

long we've been doing this to take

8:07

a second to this video to download.

8:09

One of the only things that really

8:11

made waves in the are in the

8:13

wake of this was I a story

8:15

that his private jet took off from

8:17

Van Eyes sort of in the same

8:19

time period as these rates are going

8:21

down and landed somewhere in the Caribbean.

8:23

I can remember the name of the

8:25

yard, the airport that it lands Apple,

8:27

every news source on new Source, every

8:29

twitter user. Who was following this and making

8:31

waves about it said that it was a

8:33

our location that does not have an extradition treaty

8:36

with the United States. It turns out to the

8:38

I at least from my viewing that he

8:40

has been spotted in the state several times since

8:42

then. So I guess maybe he wasn't on the

8:44

jet or maybe wasn't came back spied on

8:46

what was your read on their coverage of that.

8:50

As a reminds me of. The

8:52

story about the princess and

8:55

oh wow yeah, people were

8:57

absolutely double and triple sourcing

8:59

stories That works at least

9:01

so far categorically untrue, false

9:03

and I had nothing to

9:05

do with what happened dad

9:07

there and is is it

9:09

reminds me of I guess

9:11

maybe The theme today is

9:13

a It's interesting how the

9:15

public can just be immediately

9:18

manipulated, the airbags fallen victim

9:20

to add so I don't.

9:22

Know about seizing etti moral high

9:24

ground years and you could get.

9:27

Obliquely. Dissuaded that

9:29

old expression the year old

9:31

age Also to the circle

9:33

the world. Is

9:36

Bennett said truce Those struggles to

9:38

catch up? Yeah, Absolutely. Here's the

9:40

video. I'm not gonna play the

9:42

sound. Ma'am Champlain to be Ross

9:44

This is Steve Gregory who is a

9:46

Tear fi os Six Forty reporter

9:48

who is following the Homeland Security.

9:50

I. Ah, officials through

9:52

the home we humbly hills neighborhood as

9:54

they approach on p diddy home so

9:56

yeah and you can see a few

9:58

other news vans i had them. It's

10:00

almost like someone wanted the press to

10:03

be here when they first arrived. No,

10:05

no. Why would they want that? You

10:07

got to keep a search for a

10:09

secret, right? Why would you ever... Oh,

10:12

by the way, look at the vans

10:14

that are there. Look at what's parked

10:16

on the curb

10:21

over there as we're looking. By the

10:23

way, there's another video, see if you

10:25

can find it while I'm talking that

10:28

somebody drove up and this also went

10:30

by. Oh, I saw this, yeah. And

10:33

the guy said he's a neighbor. I'm the

10:35

next door neighbor and Sean's got to stop

10:38

busing in minors at night. Did you see

10:40

this? I did, absolutely. I've got it right

10:42

here. It's just going to take me a

10:44

second to download, but yeah. And

10:46

boy, that went out and was,

10:48

wow, neighbors are reporting. He did,

10:51

he buses in minors

10:54

at night and that

10:56

went around as if there

10:59

were any resemblance to the truth. And

11:02

then maybe if you could show that

11:04

Gary and then the follow-up, it would

11:06

be very interesting to see what was

11:08

actually happening there. My

11:19

favorite part about that is

11:21

the assertion

11:31

that when his basketball goes over the fence, he just leaves

11:33

it there because he doesn't want to knock on the door.

11:36

Fine, sir, but you're in a bad

11:38

league. And what he says is, he

11:40

says big ass bus built with what?

11:43

Miners. Miners. Gets

11:45

delivered every night and I'm his neighbor. Yeah.

11:48

By the way, just some

11:50

guy driving by that went viral. I

11:52

mean, you should see the number of

11:54

views and then guess what ended up

11:56

happening, Gary? What's that? His

11:59

mother. came by and did a

12:02

interview. Did you see this? I did not see that. Yeah,

12:05

the mother, the mother came out,

12:07

maybe Gary can find it, and

12:09

said that the kid who was

12:11

hanging out of the car claiming to be the

12:14

neighbor is actually a neighbor and

12:17

was trolling the media. You

12:20

know, like, it was like chum in

12:22

the water. I mean, they said, don't

12:25

bother me with the facts. We got a

12:27

story we got to manufacture. Yeah, I'm trying

12:29

to pull that one up right now, but

12:31

it's yeah, it's just it's absolutely crazy. And

12:34

you know, there was that there was

12:36

there was just so many different things. Let's see

12:38

here. I'm trying to find another one if you

12:40

can find it. I mean, I'm really bombarding you

12:42

with this, Gary. There was another I did a

12:45

show on News Nation this week.

12:47

I think it was News Nation. It might have been Fox.

12:50

And I followed two people who

12:52

know Sean in some fashion. One

12:55

guy had a business deal

12:57

that he obviously didn't like

13:00

the result of. And so,

13:03

you know, he was saying stuff

13:05

along the lines of if you

13:07

can find it, you know, well,

13:10

she's getting this comeuppance and,

13:12

you know, he deserves this.

13:14

And then whoever was asked

13:17

him, well, did this shock you

13:19

kind of basically the allegations about

13:21

minors and sex drive? The guy,

13:23

the guy then responds, oh, yeah,

13:25

I've never heard of anything like

13:27

that. So it's just you got

13:29

to set him up as

13:32

this. You

13:34

can say anything. You can

13:36

spread any rumor, any

13:39

kind of salacious gossip whatsoever to taint

13:41

him. And then when you actually and then

13:43

people jump on board. But then when

13:45

you ask just a simple question, did

13:47

you know you're this is somebody you

13:49

claim to be commenting on somebody that

13:51

you knew somebody you're having a business

13:53

deal with. Did you ever see anything like

13:55

this? And they'll say no, absolutely not.

13:58

And so wait. a

14:00

slight disconnect, but this is how,

14:02

this has been one of my

14:05

big complaints, because if they

14:07

end up filing something on Diddy,

14:10

whether they indict him or not,

14:12

first thing that the prosecution

14:14

and law enforcement is going to

14:16

do is ask for a gag

14:19

order on the defense after they

14:21

have basically blanketed the culture and

14:23

the media with every salacious piece

14:26

of nonsense that you could ever

14:28

come up with, and they know

14:30

what happens when they light the

14:32

proverbial fuse here, and they're

14:35

counting on the fact that he doesn't

14:37

have a constituency that's going to come

14:40

to his aid

14:42

or support, if

14:45

you will. And that's

14:47

what ends up happening

14:50

in cases like this. It's

14:52

almost diabolical. Yeah,

14:54

and the media was just so rabid about this.

14:56

I mean, they covered it from every angle, including

14:59

did you see Ridley Scott was apparently prevented from

15:01

getting to his home and TMZ made it. That's

15:03

in his 80s. He's a neighbor, and he's trying

15:05

to get to his house. And if

15:08

you've got that, you should play that

15:10

also, because there's somebody who is, by

15:12

all accounts, legitimately a neighbor and not

15:14

trolling the media. He's just trying to

15:16

get home. Yeah, he was

15:18

very frustrated. I don't know that

15:21

I have that particular picture. I'm

15:23

still looking for the Diddy neighbor

15:25

mother thing, and I'm having a little trouble

15:27

with that. But I'm certainly

15:30

not having trouble finding the stories. I'm just

15:32

having trouble finding the video. But yeah, it's

15:34

just wild the way the media has

15:37

just covered just any hiccup in this

15:39

story, because it's getting clicks. And it's

15:42

certainly not going to break well for Diddy

15:44

if it does, in fact, come to an

15:46

indictment in a trial, because you're right, they

15:48

will call for gag order, but I will

15:50

still be able to find 35 videos while

15:52

I'm in the midst of doing a podcast

15:55

that do not bode well for him. Hey,

15:57

everybody, what's up? It's Gina grad. And when you're searching

17:48

you track the coverage of this, and

17:50

I always say that the media

17:52

and the law enforcement's got a

17:54

symbiotic relationship, so it does not

17:57

surprise me that the search

17:59

warrants track to some degree,

18:01

even though the affidavit is under

18:03

seal, you don't have to be

18:06

a—the amazing Kreskin to figure out

18:08

what it is that they're looking

18:11

for. They

18:14

track the couple of civil

18:17

lawsuits that were filed on

18:19

the eve of the Adult

18:21

Survivors Act in New York.

18:23

Now, what has

18:25

happened since then, because like

18:27

50 Census Ex has

18:29

come out and said that the

18:32

one lawsuit is absolutely categorically false

18:34

and makes the dragster into this.

18:37

They filed in those lawsuits against

18:40

the head of UMG. They filed

18:42

against his

18:45

supposed—did he's chief of staff

18:49

alleging her to be the Jelane

18:51

Maxwell. They mentioned Prince Harry because

18:54

they're trying to get—the

18:56

lawyer is trying to create an

19:02

Epstein-like narrative here. So

19:04

what's the next thing that happens?

19:06

Now we've got people. There's a

19:08

woman who is saying that she's

19:10

willing to be operated on to

19:13

have a bullet fragment removed from

19:15

her face from the shooting

19:17

that Diddy was acquitted of in 1999.

19:21

And there's people talking about that

19:24

shooting, that Tupac, that Biggie, that

19:26

it's all part of what the

19:29

feds are looking at him for.

19:32

So there's only two explanations for that,

19:34

either the current allegations

19:36

that were

19:38

part of the civil suits, they're not

19:41

getting substantiation for that. So they've got

19:43

to widen the net and they're trying

19:45

to come up with other stuff. But

19:47

what they're going to run the head

19:50

log into is—we've talked about it before.

19:52

That was Johnny Cochran's last trial of

19:55

the shooting in the club here in New York that

19:57

he tried with Ben Brofman. was

20:00

acquitted for. So they're not going to be able

20:02

to charge them again for that. So what are

20:04

they going to do? Are they going to use

20:06

that as a predicate act for some kind of

20:08

a wide-ranging RICO operation

20:12

on Sean Diddy Combs? That

20:15

would be the only way that you could reinvigorate

20:17

that. Even then, I think

20:19

that that's fraught with problems

20:22

as well. And it

20:25

goes, it circles back to what

20:27

my belief is, is that they

20:29

most probably in this case, this

20:31

shock and awe search warrant.

20:34

And what I mean is shock and awe. November

20:37

were the lawsuits, the expiration of

20:39

the adult sexual survivors lawsuit statute

20:42

and the lawsuits that were filed.

20:44

There were then a series of

20:46

lawsuits that were filed. Most recently,

20:49

Justice named Little Rod.

20:53

And so for

20:55

the feds to pick up on this, you

20:58

either have to believe that they're

21:00

acting at warp speed, A, they

21:03

had a pre-existing investigation,

21:06

B, or they've

21:08

got somebody who's already cooperating,

21:11

or C, that they've put

21:13

somebody in front of a grand

21:15

jury, presumably, didn't get what they

21:17

wanted. And this is a way

21:19

to shake up witnesses. My guess

21:21

is C, that they're trying to

21:23

shake up witnesses. That's based on

21:26

everything I've ever seen as all

21:28

the earmarks of that, because normally

21:30

these kinds of shock and awe operations,

21:33

whether it's Marlago, Roger Stone, any

21:35

of the others, an arrest takes

21:37

place very shortly after that. We

21:39

haven't seen that yet. And

21:42

if you were his attorney, what exactly would

21:44

you be concerned with

21:46

at this point? And I'll say that

21:48

as I show the pictures, just real

21:50

quick, of Ridley Schott.

21:53

The pictures we

21:58

referenced earlier of his... his neighbor here being

22:00

frustrated, not being able to get to his home and

22:03

kind of not necessarily arguing,

22:05

but being frustrated with police who won't let

22:07

him by yet to his own home nearby.

22:11

Well, one of the things I would I

22:13

would counsel here, he's,

22:16

if you're worried about,

22:19

it would be foolish not

22:21

to be, when you've

22:23

got this kind of a show of force, or

22:26

they're going to be, is there a chapter

22:29

two or chapter three or chapter

22:31

four? Absolutely. And you'd be

22:33

foolish not to, and they should be

22:35

doing, and I'm sure are doing some

22:37

kind of, you know, Aaron Dyer is

22:39

a former federal prosecutor. He's at

22:42

a firm that has got a number

22:44

of former federal prosecutors. I'm

22:46

sure they're doing a

22:48

simultaneous or parallel investigation.

22:52

But you've got to be

22:54

worried that no matter what

22:56

your investigation divulges, by the

22:58

time you get to that

23:00

point, that the die is

23:02

already cast and they've morphed

23:04

you into a Bill Cosby,

23:06

a Harvey Weinstein, a Danny

23:08

Masterson, I mean, they just

23:10

go on and on. You

23:13

it's a you, you have

23:16

to address what is going on.

23:18

You have to just like they

23:20

use a SWAT team to enter

23:23

into the houses and execute the search for

23:25

it. You need a media SWAT

23:28

team to combat all the disinformation that's

23:30

out there. You can't let it become

23:32

urban legend or it's, it's too little

23:35

too late at the end. You can't

23:37

do it. And would you be concerned

23:39

with or what would your calculus be

23:41

on the fact that also this week

23:44

they arrested a member of his entourage

23:46

on allegations of drug possession and they're

23:48

claiming that he was his mule. Did

23:51

you see that one? Well, you know,

23:53

it drives me crazy if I'm if

23:55

I'm the lawyer, I'm out there, you

23:57

know, I've said it. You Know, it's A. Soon

24:00

to be when people use the

24:02

term meal or because what they

24:04

found it with was consistent was

24:06

personal use ants. Because personal use

24:08

doesn't fit with the narrative of

24:10

a drug smuggler. They that what

24:12

did they call it always abuse

24:14

or gates? I mean come on,

24:16

let's stay. Let's try to tenders

24:19

some of this commentary two Sacks

24:21

as opposed to just wild speculation,

24:23

right? I mean, Twenty five? The

24:25

world. Who is ever talking about.

24:27

Ah, I did east parties

24:29

I yelled full disclosure years ago

24:31

I went to one of the

24:34

white party. it l legs A

24:36

here yo Was it epic? Yes

24:38

Was there are indeed a pure

24:40

that there were busloads of minors.

24:42

There are quite the opposite. You

24:44

couldn't fight your way into the

24:46

place. yeah Now know since parties

24:48

are notoriously impossible the it into

24:50

and they say you know I

24:52

am from the recording nine Dressed

24:54

County so strict that you see

24:56

you know ala celebrity stripping off

24:58

pieces. Of clothing because they're not light and

25:00

they won't be like and if they're not wearing

25:02

them So yeah it's side By all accounts. those

25:04

parties are absolutely amazing and I certainly can see

25:07

to it first hand. By Arts and Smith you

25:09

can. I have the best

25:11

story about the opposing party escapades but

25:13

I would get home if I told

25:15

the story but it was one of

25:17

the best incidents. I took a couple

25:19

of people there and you when. I.

25:22

Just wish sunday when I'm on

25:24

my deathbed I'd get addicted out

25:26

all these stories because the at

25:29

the in. The. Aftermath of

25:31

Studies White Party was actually

25:33

a almost as epic is

25:35

the party itself. While. Being

25:37

there with pan pan I take announce. I

25:40

can't wait to start lay an egg that

25:42

if I were if I am a curb

25:44

it as I'd like they're Gary. Just take

25:46

a pillow and put it over my head.

25:48

Asteroids are you the story? Sedona to sit

25:50

around for the ramifications. turn

25:52

off are like that's the light is that

25:54

original would make a used to be my

25:56

father's line is your survivor that point we

25:58

have to we'll be around and I become

26:01

that guy. He says, just put a pillow

26:03

over my head and put me out of

26:05

my misery. Well, I think that's a reasonable

26:07

sentiment because it's one that I share as

26:09

well. I hope that that's a long ways

26:11

off for both of us, but yeah, it's,

26:13

you know, no one wants to go out

26:15

with a whimper. So here's hoping that we don't

26:17

have to experience that, but Mark, have a great

26:19

Easter. I'm looking forward to you being able

26:21

to break your fast and I look forward

26:23

to seeing you in person sometime soon. You

26:26

got it. Thanks, GPS and have a

26:28

wonderful, wonderful day with you and your

26:31

family. Thank you so much. Bye-bye. Bye-bye.
