1:22

is Rebel Force Radio's The

1:24

Acolyte After Show. All

1:36

right, welcome back Rebel

1:38

Force Radio and The

1:40

Acolyte After Show. We've

1:42

got a fresh new episode to

1:45

dissect, analyze, speculate,

1:49

pick apart. Fairly, I

1:51

would say. Fairly. That's one thing I

1:53

think you can say about Rebel

1:56

Force Radio and these after shows. I think

1:58

we are fair. We don't. We

2:01

don't mince our words, certainly, but at

2:03

the same time, we

2:06

look at these things as

2:10

they're being presented to us, to the extent

2:12

that that is possible. Now, that doesn't stop

2:14

us from speculating and

2:16

theorizing. That's part of

2:18

the fun. And

2:22

we have lots of fun on the after show. So

2:24

glad for you, glad that you're here with us. Thanks

2:27

for hanging out. We've got

2:29

lots to talk about this episode.

2:35

Very interesting because it on

2:38

the one hand, you feel that it is

2:40

trying to answer some questions and some answers

2:42

do get questions or some questions do get

2:44

answered. But at the same time, I

2:47

feel like that it raises

2:50

and asks more questions. So

2:52

I guess that's the nature of especially

2:55

these streaming series. Star

2:59

Wars is certainly not immune anymore

3:01

to trends and

3:03

fads. And something I've noticed

3:05

with the way these streaming

3:07

series are being told is,

3:10

you know, they utilize

3:12

things like cliffhangers oftentimes

3:17

continuing to throw more mystery at

3:19

you to keep you coming back.

3:22

And that's always been a part,

3:25

I think, of good storytelling. But with

3:28

the streaming and the competition

3:30

that's out there, I just

3:32

feel that there is just you feel,

3:34

I think, from the

3:36

creatives and the writers, you

3:39

feel their desire to want to always

3:41

bring you back for more, bring you

3:43

back, lure you back in

3:45

some cases. So that is definitely what's

3:47

happening here with the acolyte. As I say, great to

3:49

be with you. If

3:52

you are new to the program and introductions are in order.

3:54

My name is Jason and with me, as always, my

3:57

good friend and yours from Chicago, Jimmy Mack. Hey

4:00

Jason, hey Star Wars fans back

4:03

again for another round with the acolytes and

4:06

Back to the story that's

4:08

being told in the present

4:11

Tense, I guess no flashbacks

4:14

this week. No crappy kid

4:16

actors It was all just

4:19

pushing the story forward and I'm happy

4:21

about that Because I felt

4:23

like these were some characters that we were just getting

4:25

to know before we went on

4:27

a detour last week So

4:29

I'm glad we're able to spend more time

4:32

with these characters and I feel like this

4:34

episodes dropping at a good time is most

4:36

of fandom is on a serious

4:38

sugar buzz from Star Wars

4:40

Oreo cookies and I Got

4:44

the cookies. I finally got

4:46

the blue milk and My

4:50

son and I we had a nice little Because

4:52

we go golfing every Friday and we hit the

4:55

grocery store on the way home We picked up

4:57

the Oreo cookies and the blue

4:59

milk and we did the 19th hole at

5:02

home with with that in

5:04

them I got to say I

5:07

really thought the blue milk was pretty good. I was I was

5:10

Preparing myself for something really sickening sweet,

5:13

you know, like like strawberry milk or

5:15

something But it was I thought it

5:17

was pretty mild pretty mild. It went

5:19

well with the cookies That's

5:22

like a vanilla type flavor, but

5:24

not overpowering. You're absolutely right now

5:26

I haven't dunked the Star Wars

5:28

Oreos into the blue milk But

5:31

I did eat a whole pack of them

5:33

Dylan gave them to me for Father's Day

5:35

And I almost lost my you know, what

5:38

did you get dark side or light side?

5:40

I ended up with light side Yeah,

5:43

me too. Me too. So

5:45

now I'm dying to get my hands on some of

5:47

those red Well, Jim, everyone knows the dark side has

5:49

been extinct for a millennium So

5:52

you're not likely to find dark. So

5:54

no Have

5:56

been extinct for over a millennium. I had to

5:58

charge All

6:00

of us. The dark side exists in

6:02

all of us all the time. Yes. And

6:05

we, the proper Jedi must do

6:07

everything we can to suppress the

6:09

fear, anger, and ambition that

6:12

makes that dark side rise up to the surface.

6:16

So while you guys are doing that, I'm just going

6:18

to eat the Oreos. Okay. So

6:21

I heard a rumor that if you eat Oreos,

6:24

if you eat the Star Wars Oreos while you're

6:26

watching the acolyte, you enjoy yourself a heck of

6:28

a lot more. You really like the story more.

6:31

You like the, uh, is that true? I

6:34

think they've worked out that technology where

6:37

they can make you eat food that

6:39

will force you to appreciate

6:42

the content more. I mean,

6:44

this is what Kathy Kennedy has been

6:46

working on behind the scenes. This is

6:48

what the $180 million budget

6:51

for the acolyte went towards

6:53

creating a food that will

6:55

somehow magically shift

6:58

your personal opinion towards a favorable woman,

7:00

but only when it comes to Star

7:02

Wars content, right? I mean, like this

7:05

wouldn't work on like Aquaman

7:07

two or anything. No, no, no, no.

7:09

This is strictly, it's strictly Star Wars

7:12

and in highly controversial, uh,

7:15

somewhat objectable, uh, Star Wars. That's,

7:17

that's, that's what it works on.

7:19

I mean, is it a coincidence that the cookies

7:21

came out right when the acolyte premiered? I

7:24

think that's what I'm saying. That's what

7:26

I'm saying. It's a conspiracy. The

7:28

fixes in it's rigged. It's

7:31

a rigged system. Yeah. It's just

7:34

like those rotten tomatoes. It's all rigged when

7:36

it agrees with, when it doesn't agree with

7:38

me, it's rigged. Yeah.

7:40

We're being cookie bombed right

7:42

now. And uh, you know, just

7:44

like they get review bombed, we're getting right.

7:46

He bombed by the warriors. And

7:48

I welcome that. I welcome that. So good.

7:50

I'm glad you're on the same sugar high.

7:53

Come on. Definitely. Definitely. And we

7:55

are certainly on a Star Wars high. So, uh,

7:57

make sure to give us a call or participate

7:59

in the. chat. If you

8:01

haven't listened to one of these live

8:03

and participated with the just

8:06

incredible group of folks that are here about

8:08

each and every week, you're really missing out

8:10

because yeah, there's this show that

8:12

you're listening to right now, but what you

8:14

don't know is underneath it down

8:17

here, there's a whole other show going on. Sometimes

8:20

the two might even overlap where

8:22

you get a, what

8:25

are you looking at? You're allowed to look at

8:27

this show underneath. Yeah. I was looking at the

8:29

other show underneath us. You may not see it,

8:31

but yeah, sometimes the shows, even

8:33

the two shows even intersect and are actually talking about,

8:35

you don't want to know what I was looking at.

8:40

I was worried that you either dropped something or spilled

8:42

something. I thought, Oh God, Oh

8:44

no. Oh no. Yeah.

8:46

We've been through that before. So I understand

8:49

you being a little skittish, but

8:51

no, I'm ready to plow forward. All right,

8:53

let's go forward. Let's start talking about it.

8:55

We got, uh, we are

8:58

talking about episode four

9:00

season one, obviously day

9:02

is the name of this episode day directed

9:04

by Alex Garcia Lopez and co-written

9:10

by Claire Keachul or

9:13

Keichel. Just going to go with Keichel there.

9:15

Keichel, Keichel, Keichel, Cor

9:17

Adana, the co-writer there

9:21

and original air date. Of course, June 18th,

9:23

2024 clocks in at about 28 minutes, uh,

9:29

minus the post credits. So

9:31

there you got it. You got the tail of the tape

9:33

for this particular episode. Um, so

9:38

something that, you know, I am glad

9:40

that these shows do

9:43

the, you know, last week on the acolyte. I

9:45

do appreciate that. And I always watch it. Um,

9:48

because something went through by me, Pat, went

9:50

past me that I just, I didn't realize

9:53

and it may or may not

9:55

be a big deal, but I didn't realize at

9:58

the time that at

10:01

Vernestra, who

10:03

seems to be the highest ranking member of

10:07

this particular council. By the way, this is

10:09

not the high council. We

10:11

learned this week. I assumed that

10:13

it was the only, it was Jedi council

10:15

as the council, but apparently there's a high

10:17

council and then there's this council.

10:20

But Jim, I didn't catch

10:22

that Vernestra didn't know anything

10:25

about Osha having a twin sister.

10:28

So that right there tells you that Saul has been

10:30

less than forthcoming and less than

10:32

honest, even with Vernestra Rowe.

10:36

And then there's more that he

10:38

reveals to her, which is the

10:42

fact that maybe she survived.

10:45

Not only did I not tell you

10:47

that she had a twin, but maybe,

10:49

maybe she survived. So now I'm getting,

10:51

I love

10:53

Saul and he's my favorite

10:56

character in the show. I think the actor is

10:58

so impressive to find out that

11:00

he has been able to do

11:02

this Li Zhongzhe with

11:04

such limited capabilities with the English

11:07

language. I think the performance is

11:09

very believable and real. So

11:12

hats off to him, but now

11:15

I'm starting to think, what else is Saul hiding?

11:17

What else is this guy hiding? Yeah,

11:20

well, I don't trust him as much as I used to. I

11:23

think there were a couple of hints

11:26

or foreshadowing being dropped in

11:28

with the way the

11:32

camera was moving around the room

11:34

when Vernestra was talking to that

11:36

council about

11:40

this emergence of May. And

11:43

it almost seems like she was passively

11:45

aggressively pointing

11:48

some blame or accusing Saul

11:50

of being the one who

11:52

actually trained May, not

11:54

Ahsoka, May. Because I'll tell

11:56

you why, when she

11:58

is talking about... Mae's

12:00

reappearance and the fact that she

12:02

killed another Jedi. She looks directly

12:05

at Saul when she says she

12:07

suddenly appeared after all these years.

12:09

How odd. And then she looks

12:11

at Saul immediately. Then

12:14

she turns up all these years later

12:17

trained by one of our own. The

12:19

camera again lingers on Saul. And

12:23

one of the Jedi says, well you think a Jedi

12:25

taught her? And Varneshara says,

12:28

oh even a hologram can tell

12:30

me that. And then she goes,

12:32

we must find out who trained

12:34

her. The camera immediately jumps back

12:36

to Saul who, according to the

12:38

descriptive audio track, swallows

12:40

and nods like a,

12:42

oop, they're on to me.

12:45

Golden kind of nods. Like, yeah I get

12:47

it, I get it, you know. Trying not

12:49

to look too guilty, I think,

12:52

is the direction going on

12:54

here with Saul. So

12:56

I think Saul, there's something going on with

12:58

Saul that doesn't add

13:00

up. But then, but

13:03

then you see Saul

13:05

going to great lengths, including

13:08

using Osha as bait to

13:11

draw out this master. Like

13:14

Saul's obsessed with, he's

13:16

not obsessed with bringing Mae in,

13:19

he's obsessed with Mae leading him

13:21

to the master. That is Saul's,

13:23

I believe, ultimate goal here. And

13:26

I don't know if that's because he feels that

13:28

he's being looked

13:31

upon as someone who could

13:33

be culpable in some of

13:35

this. Not that they're thinking he's a traitor,

13:38

but you know, again, what else has

13:40

he not told us about

13:42

this? So I think it's less about

13:44

bringing in Mae

13:47

and more about using Mae. He's

13:49

using, yeah, he's using Osha to get

13:51

to Mae to get to the master.

13:55

Right, right. Toward

13:58

the end of the show. He

14:00

reveals to OSHA that

14:03

he has information that he's going to

14:05

lay on her when

14:08

he says they both have to face their

14:10

past. And he will explain more when

14:12

they get back to the ship. It's

14:14

like right away. Everything. Everything.

14:16

Everything. Yeah. So that sounds

14:18

like something you do around

14:21

episode five or six. Maybe.

14:24

Yeah. I will tell you everything during episode

14:26

six. Yeah. Well, I was thinking like, well,

14:28

is that going to then be Saul's

14:31

flashback? Because everybody was

14:33

very quick. To

14:36

tell me that what we saw on the flashback

14:39

last week was OSHA's

14:41

flashback. Yeah, I

14:43

believe that. Perhaps we'll actually see Saul's

14:46

flashback. But let's we

14:49

jumped ahead because there's something I want to

14:51

talk about at the at the

14:53

very top of the episode. And that is when

14:55

we get to see Kel

14:57

Naka, who, by the way, really does prove

15:00

my point that Wookiees make terrible Jedi because

15:02

the guy was the guy was wiped, wiped

15:06

out. I mean, it was in fact, it was it

15:08

was such a blowout that they didn't even feel the

15:10

need to show it. They didn't even need to show

15:12

it. So anybody

15:14

know burnt Wookiee hair? Does

15:16

anybody smell that right? I

15:19

just thought of you just with a

15:21

big, you know, what eating grin on your face

15:24

when the camera pulled around and showed

15:26

that dead Wookiee sitting there in the

15:28

chair with the wound still smoldering and

15:31

smoke coming out of it. It just

15:34

happened. Whoever killed

15:36

Kel Naka, it just happened. And that's

15:38

why the reason they didn't show his

15:40

death is because I

15:43

think the story will lean on that

15:45

a little bit by creating a mystery

15:47

as to, well, who actually killed Kel

15:49

Naka? Was it legitimately the Sith

15:51

Lord? But who's who

15:53

is the Sith Lord? A lot of people say, well, he's

15:55

Kaimir. Kaimir is the

15:57

Sith Lord. But Kaimir was strung up. in

16:00

a tree. So how

16:02

could he have gotten away and that little

16:04

ball too easy for a Sith that

16:07

little otter Beaver was there to

16:09

Basil. I mean, he was there.

16:11

And so I think

16:13

there's you know suspicion should be pointed

16:15

toward the little otter Beaver too, because

16:18

he was there and wait a minute.

16:20

Wait a minute. Wait, wait, wait. Are

16:22

you trying to say that you believe

16:24

that Basil might have

16:26

killed Kel Naka. Yes,

16:30

I am saying that because he

16:32

suddenly disappeared from the group. He sure

16:34

did. And the next the next

16:36

time you see him, he

16:38

is looking at May who

16:40

had tripped got tripped up approaching

16:43

Kel Naka's lair. So

16:46

he was already there. The otter Beaver.

16:49

The otter Beaver. Yeah. Whose name

16:51

is Basil Basil. So yeah, basically

16:53

comedian. Or

16:56

like the thing I got up in my

16:58

cabinet there with all the right. Yeah. Yeah.

17:00

Yeah. The herb herb. The dill and the

17:05

diesel. Okay. But wait a minute before we get too into

17:07

this, here's what I wanted to talk about with Kel Naka

17:09

other than him being a crappy

17:11

Jedi is this in

17:14

Kel Naka's ship slash home.

17:17

He has sketches

17:20

or drawings or something of

17:22

the Sith witches. This

17:25

right, witches. So these are

17:27

the markings that you see like one of them

17:29

is on May's forehead. The

17:31

mother Anisaya had had

17:34

one of those on her head. So what

17:37

do you make of this? And well,

17:39

it's what was in that pot that he

17:41

was what was he doing? That is cauldron.

17:44

Is he a double agent? Is he a Wookie

17:47

and a witch? You're throwing a

17:49

lot of stuff out there right now. Okay,

17:51

I think he was just making his dinner. I

17:54

really think I didn't look at it beyond that.

17:56

I think it was his dinner. And

18:01

the carvings that were decorating

18:03

the walls of his lair,

18:06

they all depicted variations of

18:08

the spiral symbols that

18:11

it was the witch's

18:13

tattoo, the ascension tattoo.

18:15

Right. And we know

18:18

they received that during the ascension because Mother

18:20

Anasaya pulled down the

18:22

blue light and put it on May's forehead

18:24

in which he removed it. That

18:27

tattoo or brand was in there. So

18:30

let's just call it a tattoo. Let's

18:33

take it. Yeah. Yeah. So,

18:36

so she has. So what was

18:38

he researching? He must have been

18:40

researching that. You

18:42

know, he's like the guy who's got

18:44

the conspiracy theories. He's got the pictures

18:46

in the magazine articles up on the

18:48

wall and then there's like, there's like

18:50

string attaching them by thumbtacks. So

18:53

you, okay. All right. So what

18:56

we, what do we know about Kel Naka? I

18:58

wrote it all down here. We know

19:01

that he was stationed to

19:04

Kofar. Yes. By the

19:06

Jedi. Yes. And

19:09

that he has been there

19:12

for a year or

19:14

he's or he's been out of communication for

19:16

a year. He's been out of

19:18

contact for a year. So is

19:21

he, well, we know that he's not meditating

19:24

like, like the other guy,

19:28

like Torrey. Yes. He did not

19:30

take the bearish vow of silence.

19:33

But we could assume that he's working

19:36

out the, the

19:38

trauma of what occurred

19:40

on, what was

19:44

it? Shoot. Brandach.

19:47

Brandach. Brandach. So

19:49

you're saying this is him sort of maybe

19:51

investigating him. He's he's he's he's

19:54

working something out here. This isn't, this

19:57

isn't evidence that he's you

19:59

know. converted to the witchy

20:01

religion or anything like that? Oh,

20:04

no, I don't

20:06

think so. I mean, I don't know for

20:08

sure. But I think if anything, he might

20:10

be trying to figure out how

20:12

exactly a coven of female witches were

20:15

able to give birth to a pair

20:17

of force sensitive twins. I

20:19

think that's what he's trying to. That's a

20:21

code he's trying to crack. And

20:25

you know, it's something it's unnatural for

20:27

them, those Sith witches. It's

20:29

unnatural for them to be

20:31

tapping into the dark side.

20:34

It's unnatural for them to give birth to

20:36

twins without a father. I

20:39

mean, the whole thing is

20:41

just off the established

20:43

path. So

20:46

they're obviously up to some dark

20:48

side witchiness. And that's

20:50

fine. If they want kids, that's fine. But you

20:53

know what they're doing is they're tipping the force

20:55

out of balance for the Jedi. And

20:57

so it's not all about them.

21:03

Seriously, their actions are having

21:05

a profound effect on others

21:07

throughout the galaxy. So

21:10

that's where I think their

21:12

biggest violation of

21:15

Jedi law is

21:17

occurring, is the fact

21:19

that because of however

21:22

they're manipulating the force and the

21:24

midi-chlorians or the threat or whatever.

21:28

No matter how hard they're pulling on the thread, it's

21:32

tipping the force out of balance. And

21:34

that's bad for the galaxy at large.

21:38

OK. All right. Kelnaka

21:43

investigating the witch. I

21:46

like that. I think it's better

21:49

than I thought. Oh my god,

21:51

that SOB. Look at him. He's worshipping. He's

21:55

standing over his cauldron. And there's

21:57

witch symbols in his house. You

22:00

know, you might be right. You

22:02

might be right. Maybe

22:04

he was an agent for the

22:06

witches. Yeah,

22:08

maybe, maybe. Uh, when

22:11

we see Osha, uh, along

22:13

with, uh, Jackie, I always

22:16

want to forget her name, Jackie. We see

22:18

Osha and Jackie talking here at the top of

22:20

the episode. What's interesting to me was that Osha's

22:22

tapping out at this point. She's like, my,

22:25

my adventure's over. My, my story's over.

22:27

I'm saying goodbye and all of this.

22:30

And, um, I thought

22:32

it was really odd because she here,

22:36

she finds out her sister's alive and

22:39

she goes, eh, May's the

22:41

Jedi's problem now and I'm not a Jedi. And

22:44

as she was saying this, I thought, Oh, okay,

22:46

maybe we'll find out that she

22:49

wants to find May on her own. She doesn't

22:51

want to do it with the Jedi and Saul.

22:53

She wants to do it on her own, but

22:56

there really wasn't, they're really, again, that just kind

22:58

of happened in my head. There really wasn't any

23:00

evidence in the, in the story or in the,

23:03

in the dialogue to, uh, to mean

23:05

that, but she tells Jackie, um,

23:09

she says, or I'm

23:11

sorry, uh, saw

23:14

this is jumping over here to Saul. Okay.

23:16

All right. Wait a minute.

23:18

Hold on. Hold on. I

23:21

lied. I'm sorry. This is still the Jackie conversation.

23:24

Uh, these transcripts

23:26

don't have, uh, names

23:29

attached to all the lines. So sometimes

23:31

it's a little tricky to, uh, to

23:33

navigate. But, um, she says

23:35

someone must find May before she does any

23:37

more harm. She's still talking to Jackie here.

23:40

She goes, but it's not me. I

23:42

just, I can't, and

23:45

I'm thinking to myself, why can't you?

23:49

So I'm asking the question, why can't

23:52

OSHA bring in May? I

23:56

think she's disconnected from the force. I think there was a. time

24:00

in the past when Osha was connected to

24:02

the Force, and she was being

24:04

trained as a Jedi, but

24:06

she has become disconnected

24:10

somehow, and she

24:12

wants to be connected to the Force. This might have

24:14

something to do with her leaving

24:16

the Order or being expelled from the

24:18

Order, is her

24:22

ability to tap into the Force

24:24

diminished and then went away, or

24:26

she unplugged from the Force. Something

24:29

happened. Later in

24:31

the episode, she recovers a

24:34

bit of her Force sense

24:37

and then believes, she says,

24:39

then she says, I will

24:42

go get Mae. And she

24:44

only does that after Mae

24:46

turns, after

24:48

Mae makes the decision that she's

24:51

not going to do that. So

24:53

then Mae is projecting perhaps some

24:55

light side, which then somehow

24:58

is a trigger for Osha to

25:00

now all of a sudden feel

25:02

the confidence and the connection that she can go do

25:05

this. Yeah, I thought that was very,

25:07

very interesting. So it sort of comes yet full

25:09

circle. So we're planning to see at the beginning

25:11

that she doesn't have the confidence. She knows that

25:13

she can't do it for some reason. I like

25:16

your idea that this is about her being able to tap

25:19

into the Force. And then by

25:21

the end of the episode, yeah. The

25:23

power of two. The

25:27

Dark Side clouds everything. So

25:29

when her twin, who

25:32

she's attached to the hip with

25:34

throughout their youth

25:36

on Brendok, when

25:39

her sister eventually turns to the

25:41

Dark Side, we don't know how

25:44

rapidly the sister turned

25:47

to the Dark Side fully, like embraced it

25:49

and had a Sith Master in all of

25:51

that. We don't

25:53

know that could have happened maybe

25:55

just a few years prior to the

25:57

events happening in the Acolyte. Or

26:00

what did they say? OSHA

26:02

left the order eight years prior.

26:05

Six years. So was it six

26:07

years? Yes. And the

26:09

events on Brandach happened 16 years prior.

26:12

So maybe

26:14

OSHA was really connected to the dark side.

26:17

And then when May somewhere else

26:19

in the galaxy comes

26:22

under the influence of the dark side of the

26:24

force and fully embraces it, that

26:26

then puts like a

26:28

wet blanket over OSHA and her

26:31

connection to the dark to the light side of

26:33

the force. So she leaves

26:35

the order or is expelled

26:37

from the order. The reason I say

26:39

expelled is because in a prior episode,

26:41

it's revealed that Carrie

26:45

Ann Moss, his character in Dara, she

26:47

was the one advocating for OSHA

26:50

to leave the order like

26:52

she was the one lobbying for OSHA to.

26:55

Wait a minute. Say that again. Yeah.

26:57

You didn't pick up on that? No. In

27:01

a previous episode, it's revealed that

27:04

Carrie Ann Moss, his character in

27:06

Dara, what was

27:09

vocal about

27:12

having OSHA leave the Jedi

27:15

Order six years previous. Oh,

27:18

they mentioned. OK. All right. She

27:21

was the one. She was partially responsible.

27:23

She OK. Well,

27:25

she would be out. Yes.

27:29

Yeah. Yeah. OK. And I

27:31

think that's because maybe in

27:34

Dara saw the dark side in OSHA.

27:37

I mean, if her sister can can

27:40

be pulled toward that side, then maybe

27:42

it's easy to pull OSHA that way,

27:44

because those witches were basically

27:47

practicing dark side arts, disconnected

27:50

from the Sith, obviously, but they were tapping

27:53

into the dark side. I don't think

27:55

there's any question about that. No,

27:58

I don't think there's any question about that. from

44:00

another, this is from somebody else, that

44:04

it's not a lore-breaking mistake

44:07

and it's not a coincidence. His

44:09

appearance will result in having a purpose.

44:12

And, I mean, the positive is it connects

44:15

the show to the prequels and if Ki

44:17

can appear, a future appearance from Yoda seems

44:19

like a no-brainer. But that's

44:22

just the thing, is he's being

44:24

placed in there for a specific

44:26

reason. And I think that reason is...

44:28

And I want to believe that. I really do. I

44:30

hope that's true. Well, that

44:32

actually comes from somebody on the inside too.

44:35

So that's from a loop-swim insider. Well,

44:38

what we get in this episode

44:40

is just Ki throwing shade on

44:43

people's theories, just

44:45

like he does in the Phantom of... What? Well,

44:48

the Sith have been extinct for a millennium. So here

44:51

he's going, an apprentice who doesn't

44:53

know their master. It's absurd. It

44:56

can't be real. That's Ki-

45:20

kind of unlikable. And

45:23

she seems like she can evolve into a

45:25

villain. It's like she has that

45:28

potential. And the reason

45:30

I say this is because she

45:32

denies Ki-Ari Mundi, his

45:35

immediate desire is to contact

45:37

the High Council. And

45:41

she shoots that down. She fears the

45:43

High Council will report it

45:45

to the Senate and then it'll

45:48

create a scandal which will go

45:50

public. And inspire fear and mistrust

45:52

within the government, within the Jedi

45:55

Order, within the public, the general

45:57

public. So I'm... I

46:00

mean, that seems kind of sketch. Yoda does the same

46:02

thing in the prequels.

46:04

Yoda says that they can't

46:06

let the Senate know about

46:10

their diminished abilities.

46:13

Right. So Yoda also keeps

46:15

these things, but here's my question. I

46:17

didn't realize that we were dealing with

46:19

the B team here. I

46:22

thought we were dealing with the Jedi council. This

46:24

is the B team. These are the kids at the,

46:26

these are the people at the kids table on Thanksgiving

46:29

all of a sudden. Well,

46:31

this gets, I mean, it gets revealed

46:33

to us, you know, when they talk about the high

46:35

council, it's like, oh, well, these, these

46:38

yahoos are not part of the

46:40

high council at all. Not Vernestra,

46:42

not soul, but Yari Muni, none

46:44

of them. So that,

46:46

you know, I thought like you, I

46:48

thought Vernestra was some big shot on

46:50

the council, but she really

46:53

isn't. She's just like, you

46:55

know, she's like a middle

46:57

management suck up. And,

47:01

and she's afraid of what, and

47:04

she's, she's, she's covering things up

47:06

because she's afraid of

47:08

how her superiors will

47:11

react. And I also think

47:13

she fears being

47:16

accused of not doing her job

47:18

right because a Jedi was assassinated.

47:21

I think these guys are on

47:23

some sort of security council. Now

47:26

I don't think that's, I

47:28

don't know if that's anything that's been actually

47:30

established. I don't believe so. That's

47:33

what I'm feeling. Like these guys are

47:35

like, you know, you want to, these

47:37

guys are the real cops of the

47:39

Jedi. You know, they're the ones who

47:42

are in charge of security. So,

47:45

but they're not, they're not. It

47:47

would make sense when you think about the

47:49

mission that Saul and Andara and Torbin and

47:51

Kel Naka were on, they

47:54

were basically staking out, Brenda

47:57

for illicit or illegal

47:59

use. of the force. So

48:01

it would make sense that they have been

48:04

and still are part of some sort of

48:06

security council. I think that that makes a

48:08

lot of sense. That's

48:10

what I think. I

48:12

know Star wars.com put out some

48:15

information today. And also

48:17

people were losing their mind about Kiari

48:20

Mundi. And I'm like, hey, hey, hey,

48:22

you guys are totally missing Plo Koon.

48:24

He's right there. Well, flipping

48:27

cool. Why is anybody talking about

48:29

Ki? It's Plo. And

48:32

it's not it's

48:34

not Po. It's it's no

48:36

Koon. It's

48:39

it's yeah. Yeah. I call him blow

48:41

who that's that's who it

48:43

is. There he is.

48:45

Yeah. Yeah. So

48:47

yes. And come on.

48:50

That's Plo. So we're in the

48:52

same breath mask and everything. I mean, what are they

48:55

doing? So little, though. Well, I guess

48:57

he'd be younger. I went through

48:59

this whole thing, like convincing myself, oh,

49:01

that's not Kiari Mundi. That's that camp.

49:03

That's just another one of his species.

49:05

And I'm like, well, wait, though. He's

49:07

got Plo Koon with him. This is

49:09

awesome. But it did

49:12

turn out to be Kiari Mundi, but

49:14

not Plo. No Plo.

49:16

No Koon. That that's I

49:19

thought for sure. When

49:21

I got up this morning, that the

49:23

news of the day was going to

49:25

be that that wasn't Kiari Mundi. But

49:28

don't worry, folks, it really was Plo

49:30

Koon. Now. Now, the absolute reverse of

49:32

that. Good

49:35

old Plo. Yeah. Somewhere.

49:38

Filoni's fingerprints are

49:40

just all over that, I'm sure. Well,

49:44

if they weren't, I think he would

49:46

be Plo Koon. Unless, of course, Dave

49:48

might have plans for Plo. That's

49:50

what I'm saying. That's why it

49:53

wasn't Plo Koon. Yeah, Dave's taking

49:55

ownership of that. Wait, what

49:57

do you mean? But he's my favorite.

49:59

What do you mean, Leslie? I already used him.

50:02

Oh, damn it. Yeah,

50:09

let's take a look at this. We got an

50:11

image here of the Security Council.

50:13

We'll call him seen

50:15

and any other surprises here?

50:17

It was cool. I thought

50:19

that the the set no complaints

50:22

about the set here. This was, you

50:24

know, some sort of like tactical.

50:27

What do you want to call it?

50:29

A tactical situation room or

50:31

something along those lines. Yeah.

50:33

Yeah. It reminded me

50:35

of the room where Anakin met

50:38

up with Obi-Wan Kenobi and revenge of

50:40

the Sith when he's like,

50:42

you know, uh, master boss is

50:44

going off to, uh, you know, with

50:46

the gun, the bus pity

50:48

and the gun dogs and whatever you say.

50:50

And, um, that reminded me

50:52

of very similar to this room, except in

50:55

that instance, the windows were open and the

50:57

lights were on. Um, but, you

50:59

know, you have that classic, uh,

51:02

uh, tactical, uh, computer

51:05

console table there that, I mean,

51:08

we've been seeing Star Wars characters stare at

51:10

the lights, Jim, and shut

51:12

the shades or you wouldn't be able to see the

51:14

holograms here. Right. Yeah. It

51:16

was movie night in the war room

51:20

closed the shades. It's the most

51:22

bitchin home theater on Corazon. I love,

51:24

I love how when they, they,

51:26

they made a Torben and in Dara's

51:28

holograms turned red when they were talking

51:30

about it case you forgot.

51:35

If I was doing it, I would have put up just

51:37

like, like what they

51:39

do on, um, the family feud when

51:42

somebody gets the answer wrong in a big X in

51:44

a box, pops up in your buzzer going, they have

51:46

like nickels in their

51:48

eyes. Birds

51:52

flying around in a circle over their head. You

52:00

forgot these guys are dead. Yeah,

52:03

that could have really busted somebody up

52:05

because I know. Yeah.

52:08

Yeah. Let's have fun with these. Did you do

52:10

that with your own like family photos? You cross them

52:12

out after. You know,

52:15

but I'm going to put that in

52:17

my will that that the surviving family

52:19

members when I go, they have to

52:21

do that to all my pictures. Highlight

52:24

you. And just give me

52:26

a size. Yeah. Getting

52:31

back to, well, you know what?

52:33

Let's let's let's do this. Let's do

52:35

some super chats here because you guys

52:37

have been awesome and very generous as

52:40

always. We've got JJ Skywalker says,

52:42

yo, still kind of lukewarm on

52:44

the show, but absolutely loving your

52:46

guys breakdown of the lore it

52:48

presents. JJ, that's exactly what we're

52:50

trying to do, man. We're

52:52

just having fun with Star Wars.

52:55

OK, we ain't shilling for

52:57

no shekels here. On Rebel

52:59

Force Radio, as I saw a few people

53:01

that are obviously new. And

53:03

you know what? I got to say, we have a

53:05

classy group of of listeners

53:07

here because I saw a guy come into

53:10

the chat and he was like, you guys

53:12

are just chilling for Lucasfilm. And

53:14

and our and our our stalwarts are

53:16

long time. We're

53:19

very nice and said, obviously, you're new here.

53:21

Let's just tell you that Rebel

53:23

Force Radio does not chill. Absolutely

53:26

does not show for Disney or

53:28

Lucasfilm. So that's

53:30

anyway, I listen. I love when they they

53:32

police the community. Oh,

53:34

I know. That's cool. Oh, listen to me

53:36

to anybody else who wants to pop off

53:38

about us being shills. OK, you listen to

53:40

me and you listen now. I

53:44

got banned from Lucasfilm campuses while

53:46

you are still sucking on your

53:49

mommy's teeth. OK, don't

53:51

call me a chill. OK.

53:53

You know how many times we've been

53:56

canceled? Don't even start. Don't even. canceled.

54:01

You can't cancel us. So

54:05

people have tried and here we

54:07

are still with ferret

54:09

and partial reviews of these shows. That's

54:12

right. But listen, I don't

54:14

think, like I'm holding back

54:16

until this entire story is

54:18

presented to us so we can really judge

54:20

it fairly, but I predict

54:23

there will be a show some point in 2024 after

54:27

this the acolyte is coming on where

54:29

me and swank have a complete

54:32

meltdown over that ascension ceremony from

54:34

episode three. I mean

54:36

it's going to happen. Trust

54:39

me on that. It's going to it's happened

54:41

in my head already a couple of times,

54:45

but I don't want to jump to any

54:47

kind of weird conclusions because what if there

54:49

is a payoff that makes all of that

54:52

rigmarole seem to add up,

54:54

you know, I mean nothing's gonna

54:56

make the the attempt at a

54:58

pop song add up. I'll

55:00

tell you that that way. It

55:02

won't be covering that folks pretty

55:05

much or that choreographer. Yeah. That's

55:07

what's have you seen that there's

55:09

a pop song about the acolyte.

55:11

I listen to it. It was

55:13

absolutely dreadful. I couldn't believe it.

55:15

When I hit play, I thought it was

55:18

just gonna be like some techno version of

55:20

the witches chant the power of

55:22

one the power of two, you

55:24

know, that kind of remix. Yeah,

55:27

like a remix. But instead we got

55:29

this fully fleshed out piece of bubblegum

55:33

pop garbage that I just makes

55:35

me want to hurl. Yeah, makes me

55:38

want to from Star

55:40

Wars the act like the single. Can you

55:42

believe this? You know,

55:47

Star Wars only hit gold once and that

55:49

was in 1977 when the

55:52

original film came out and Meeko did

55:54

the main theme slash Cantina song. I

55:57

think that's what he called her Cantina

55:59

theme. Yeah. And it went to

56:01

number one on the charts. It

56:03

went to number freaking one. Now,

56:05

I guarantee you that acolyte

56:07

pop song. That's not going

56:10

to chart anywhere. That's

56:12

not going to chart anywhere. It's not even

56:14

going to. I know I'm done. It

56:18

was such a bizarre. What a

56:20

bizarre decision. And it wasn't even I

56:22

don't even think the artist was. I

56:25

can understand if that was like Amanda

56:27

Stenberg, if that was like because she's

56:29

also a musician, very classically trained by

56:31

the violinist. So that was like they

56:33

released a single of her because they

56:35

did a publicity thing where she played

56:38

the force theme. You know,

56:40

so that yeah, it was cool. That

56:43

I would have to understand that. But this

56:45

is like random, you know, pop star doing

56:47

random song tangentially related

56:49

to this. Very strange. It's like very

56:52

strange. Look at them. This is what

56:54

you're applying your efforts and money

56:57

towards is to produce

56:59

that kind of talk about taking your

57:01

eyes off the prize. Get your priorities

57:03

straight. How's

57:06

that for Shelling? All right. Here's Silly

57:08

Runner. He says watching you guys is as

57:10

good as any Star Wars show. No need

57:12

to read. Just I wanted to support what

57:14

we're going to read it. Silly Runner. Thank you

57:16

very much. Very nice of you. Garage

57:20

Jim life. Jason, what's

57:22

so suspicious? Jason,

57:25

what's so suspicious about Cal Naka

57:27

being naked in his spaceship house

57:29

stirring mysterious substances with witch carvings

57:31

on the wall? Yeah.

57:36

You raise an eyebrow with it. What's

57:38

the matter with you? Right.

57:40

Leafy green substances.

57:43

There is somewhere else. You're

57:46

not going to see here, people. Here's

57:49

Jonathan Tilly. Jonathan says when the end

57:51

credit hit, I had a serenity now

57:53

moment. Whoever this mysterious character

57:55

is, they are powerful. Jedi could be

57:57

off balanced due to the whole. a

58:00

whole lot feeling, whole rot feeling

58:03

of the arena. That's all

58:05

said when they saw the bugs due

58:07

to the whole rot feeling of

58:10

the area that Saul said when they

58:12

saw the bugs. I don't, I think there might be

58:14

a typo there. Sorry, Jonathan. If you want to, you

58:16

don't have to do a super chat, just if you

58:18

want to restate

58:20

that I'm not, I'm not following, but I

58:22

definitely appreciate the, the,

58:26

the super chat and the time we could talk about

58:28

the bugs. Do you want to talk about the bugs?

58:31

Yeah, let's talk about the bugs because

58:33

I gotta be honest with you. You

58:35

know, is there, is there trekking through

58:37

this forest? You know, they're finally away

58:39

from the Lord of the rings type

58:41

environment they were hiking through. And now

58:44

they're deep in this forest. For

58:47

starters, the forest was instantly

58:49

gave me Willow,

58:51

the series vibes. Really?

58:54

Yeah. I did not like that feeling.

58:56

However, they started walking and they get

58:58

to these weird like growth,

59:01

son, the tree, the, the,

59:04

the, yeah, the lumps, these lumps

59:07

in the middle of the tree trunks. And I'm

59:09

like, okay, all right, good. Let's get weird. I'm

59:12

waiting for the weird. Is anything weird

59:15

going to happen in this,

59:17

uh, in this environment and OSHA

59:19

touches the tree lump and

59:22

it bug crawls up the

59:24

tree. It's some kind of giant bug.

59:26

And so I'm like, Oh, larva, they've

59:28

established those bugs are there. I'm

59:30

waiting for it to become a legitimate threat

59:33

now and I'm waiting and I'm waiting. And

59:35

then all of a sudden the weird moth

59:37

like creature suddenly flies in and

59:39

is easily defeated. But

59:41

what about those bugs? Are those

59:44

bugs the moth while they're

59:46

still like in larvae form or Jimmy Mac?

59:48

What's up? It's not just any moth. It's

59:50

the Umbra moth. The Umbra

59:53

moth. Umbra

59:55

moth. Yeah. Well, um, apparently it's

59:58

attracted to the light of. the

1:00:00

sabers. And so do

1:00:02

they have any relation to those weird tree

1:00:05

lump bugs or what's

1:00:08

going on here? Here's what I thought. I

1:00:10

thought that was the larva state of the

1:00:12

moth. And this is like mama moth essentially.

1:00:16

I'll tell you what's weird. Okay, that's right.

1:00:19

You're watching her nest. That's the feeling I

1:00:21

guess they were trying to go for. But I

1:00:24

wanted more weirdness

1:00:27

in that forest. You want weirdness? Let me

1:00:29

give you this. Maybe you didn't find this

1:00:31

weird. I found this weird. May

1:00:34

says, or excuse me, Osha says, I was

1:00:36

able to sense that creature, but

1:00:38

I disturbed it and now it's dead. And

1:00:41

I think it's Jackie. This says,

1:00:44

it's always an honor to

1:00:46

get to witness anything or

1:00:48

anyone transform into the force.

1:00:51

Is it really someone's murdered?

1:00:54

It's an honor? That was

1:00:56

a weird line. Listen,

1:00:59

it's a bug. Okay. It's a

1:01:01

bug. She says anyone or anything.

1:01:05

No, I don't

1:01:07

think she's talking about the death of

1:01:09

the fly. I think she's talking about

1:01:11

Osha's ability to connect

1:01:13

with the force. I

1:01:16

thought that's what she was talking about. No,

1:01:19

no, no. I'm going to repeat it again. I was able to

1:01:21

sense that creature, but I disturbed it and

1:01:23

now it's dead. It's

1:01:25

always an honor to get to

1:01:27

witness anything or anyone transform into

1:01:30

the force. Okay.

1:01:34

Well, again, that was the first

1:01:36

time Osha had revealed that she

1:01:38

could connect to the force. She could sense

1:01:40

the creature. So, um, but

1:01:42

maybe you're right. Maybe my, you see like

1:01:46

either of the interpretations of that line, yours

1:01:48

or mine could be correct. True. Yeah. Maybe,

1:01:51

you know, maybe someone in the chat will

1:01:53

set us straight. Um, hearing

1:01:55

it now, maybe I'm thinking, Oh, maybe

1:01:57

it's Jason's right. But I thought she

1:01:59

would. was addressing transforming to

1:02:01

the force, meaning being

1:02:04

able to connect with the force and

1:02:07

being able to follow that up with

1:02:09

says, and says, although you've had more

1:02:11

experience with death than I have. Okay.

1:02:16

All right. Then maybe she's talking about

1:02:19

that big bug. I think

1:02:24

she might be talking about the big bug. I

1:02:27

got to admit, I found the

1:02:30

two interactions between OSHA and

1:02:32

a Jackie, um,

1:02:35

to be a little stiff. I

1:02:38

felt that I, I

1:02:40

didn't feel any chemistry coming off of

1:02:42

the two as they

1:02:44

were interacting with each other. However,

1:02:46

I'm, and I'm not trying to

1:02:48

insult anyone's acting skills. I'm just

1:02:50

saying I didn't note

1:02:53

any real chemistry. Um, I

1:02:56

thought that, you know,

1:02:58

Jackie is interesting and

1:03:01

she does have a way to

1:03:04

provide little bits of emotion.

1:03:08

You know, sometimes she just seems kind

1:03:10

of put off. Other times she just seems

1:03:12

kind of like, you know, what do you

1:03:14

mean? You know, that kind of thing, but

1:03:16

she's still able to, to exude

1:03:19

that through all of the prosthetics and makeup

1:03:21

she's wearing, which I think that's, that's kind

1:03:23

of a feat. Um, I

1:03:26

think the actress is the type of kid that

1:03:28

reminds the teacher that she hadn't collected the homework.

1:03:31

Yeah, I think you're right. I think she's, she's

1:03:34

the teacher's pet. Isn't she? Yeah.

1:03:36

She sure is. And she sure

1:03:38

is. But I just,

1:03:40

yeah. So there was a, it was

1:03:42

a weird line. Uh, it was a weird line,

1:03:44

but it did lead into, um, a

1:03:49

revelation that OSHA

1:03:51

has. Um, because

1:03:54

she says, well, I could never accept death as

1:03:56

a true, as a true Jedi should. She couldn't

1:03:58

accept it. true Jedi,

1:04:00

I couldn't accept what I'd lost, how

1:04:02

unfair it felt, the resentment I felt

1:04:04

for my sister, even though I

1:04:06

missed her at the same time. So this

1:04:09

clearly is sort of

1:04:11

the reason for her having

1:04:15

to leave the Jedi Council, or this

1:04:17

is the genesis of it. She, it

1:04:20

comes back to attachment, it comes back to

1:04:22

not being able to let go. We even

1:04:24

hear Saul saying, I think in episode two,

1:04:26

let's go, you know, and she

1:04:28

still can't do it. So there

1:04:31

are these nuggets in

1:04:33

this episode buried in the dialogue.

1:04:37

If you look for them, they're there. Sometimes you

1:04:39

gotta print out a transcript and read it because

1:04:42

they are there, they are there. So

1:04:49

we got a jammed, this is fantastic.

1:04:51

We got a jammed switchboard right now.

1:04:53

Okay, good. Well, let's start people. It's

1:04:55

jammed. You want to talk to people

1:04:57

or do you want to? Well,

1:05:00

we should wrap up the end, you know, how

1:05:03

we felt about the arrival,

1:05:05

well, the death of Kal-Mak,

1:05:07

obviously, and the arrival of

1:05:10

the Sith Lord or Dark Side user. You know,

1:05:12

again, I want to point out to everyone, the

1:05:15

word Sith has

1:05:17

not been used in

1:05:19

dialogue at all in the

1:05:22

first four episodes. So we're halfway through. It's

1:05:25

really easy to jump to the conclusion

1:05:27

that we're dealing with a Sith Lord, but

1:05:31

something tells me this is a bait and

1:05:33

switch. Something's up

1:05:35

with this. You know, there's just some,

1:05:39

there are just some consistencies with the Sith

1:05:42

that I'm not really noting being

1:05:44

present here with

1:05:46

Khmer in May. So,

1:05:49

and this other Sith Lord, I just,

1:05:51

I'm not feeling it yet. I

1:05:54

don't think we had confirmation that the Sith is... at

1:06:01

work here. I think they are. I think they are. Because,

1:06:04

I mean, they're the ultimate puppet masters and they

1:06:06

usually work in the shadows. And

1:06:08

they do use people to go back to

1:06:10

Kaimir says, you know, he likes to collect

1:06:12

people. Well, you know, I mean, it just

1:06:14

these, everybody might just be a pawn. Okay.

1:06:17

Okay. Okay. All right.

1:06:21

But at this point, we

1:06:25

can safely say that the Sith have been

1:06:27

extinct for almost a millennium. They've been extinct

1:06:29

for almost 900 years. So

1:06:32

if you think about something that, you know, an

1:06:36

occult, let's call it, that existed 900 years ago, even

1:06:39

if they waged war, the

1:06:41

term, the name might not be at the tip of

1:06:43

your tongue because so many

1:06:45

years have passed. And also the Sith

1:06:48

are really trying to stay incognito. So

1:06:50

they're not necessarily going to call themselves

1:06:52

that. I think there's, when

1:06:54

you see in the Gendy series when

1:06:56

a Saj Ventress says, I

1:06:58

am see if, you know, she's

1:07:00

proclaiming it. And that's something that

1:07:02

I don't think a real Sith would ever

1:07:04

do. And then

1:07:06

Duke takes her to school after

1:07:09

that. The

1:07:11

first response that elicits from Dooku is

1:07:13

he just starts laughing his ass off.

1:07:16

The absurdity of her planting that flag

1:07:19

right in front of him is he

1:07:21

is a Sith Lord himself. Now

1:07:24

the saying from

1:07:26

our pal, our

1:07:29

main man Munir, is he

1:07:31

says the Sith have been

1:07:33

extinct for nearly a millennium

1:07:35

or whatever. But that's not

1:07:38

true. That's not true

1:07:40

because the Sith exist, but

1:07:42

they're working as a pair as opposed

1:07:44

to an army. They have

1:07:47

been hiding out in the shadows. So,

1:07:50

I mean, we as an audience

1:07:52

certainly know the Sith has been

1:07:56

existing and up to no good for

1:07:58

a thousand years. they're

1:08:00

not on the Jedi radar anymore

1:08:02

doesn't mean they cease

1:08:04

to exist. The big failure of

1:08:06

the Jedi is not realizing that

1:08:09

the Sith was out there tipping

1:08:11

the balance of the force gradually

1:08:13

until it became a big

1:08:16

problem by the time of Attack of the Clones.

1:08:19

Yeah and by the time it became almost too

1:08:21

late. Too late. Yeah. Way

1:08:23

too well Palpatine was the Chancellor. So

1:08:26

yeah that's pretty late. Yeah

1:08:28

they're way too late. Rebel Force

1:08:31

radios the Acolyte. After show.

1:09:46

so let's talk about May's turn here. Some

1:09:49

interesting dialogue. She's still

1:09:52

going through the the forest with with

1:09:54

Kai. Kymir.

1:09:57

Thank you. And

1:10:03

she says, like, she comes to this revelation. She's

1:10:05

like, it's

1:10:08

not a test. I have to fight a Wookiee. It's

1:10:10

not a test. It's not a test.

1:10:13

He calls it the final lesson. He says your

1:10:15

final lesson is one you teach yourself. You

1:10:17

will kill a Jedi without a

1:10:19

weapon. Attacking a defenseless person goes

1:10:21

against everything the Jedi stands

1:10:24

for. How do you kill

1:10:26

someone like that? Unarmed? It's not

1:10:28

a test. It's impossible. This is

1:10:30

Mae saying this. It's

1:10:32

not a test. It's impossible. Why

1:10:34

is it impossible? Because it goes

1:10:36

against everything the Jedi stands for.

1:10:40

So why is

1:10:42

all of a sudden Mae feeling open

1:10:46

or receptive to the

1:10:49

Jedi way? The only thing that makes

1:10:51

this impossible based

1:10:54

on the dialogue that she's saying is

1:10:56

that because it goes against attacking the

1:10:58

defenseless person goes against everything the Jedi

1:11:01

stands for. And then of course, Khair

1:11:03

is like, it's not impossible. You know

1:11:05

that he's trying to pump

1:11:07

her up. I

1:11:10

want this more than anything, but it's impossible.

1:11:13

And if I don't do it, he'll kill me.

1:11:15

You don't even care. So she

1:11:17

starts to realize that she's being manipulated and

1:11:19

used by this Khmer guy. But

1:11:22

I still don't get why she's doing

1:11:24

this math in her head

1:11:26

about it being impossible because it is against what

1:11:28

the Jedi stand for. You

1:11:31

know, she just came to the conclusion that she's on

1:11:34

a fool's errand. She

1:11:37

can't provoke a Jedi to fight her unless she uses a

1:11:39

weapon, I believe is the bottom line for

1:11:43

her that she can't figure out a way

1:11:46

to get a Jedi to engage with her unless

1:11:49

she reveals a weapon. I

1:11:53

think if it was me walking into a cantina and I walked up to

1:11:55

a Jedi master and without even

1:11:58

saying a word. I

1:12:00

just like gave them you know a

1:12:02

wet willy right here. Yeah,

1:12:04

you know I think that Jedi would get

1:12:06

up ready to do some brawling So

1:12:09

I mean that's the wet willy Philosophy

1:12:13

that I would take I would instill

1:12:15

that in May I would say

1:12:17

just yeah Just go you know start pranking them and

1:12:19

stuff and and but no she

1:12:22

believes that the Jedi will remain

1:12:24

pacifist unless truly

1:12:26

threatened with a weapon So

1:12:30

she's completely She

1:12:33

can't figure out the solution the

1:12:36

best way to engage a Jedi without a

1:12:38

weapon because it's fighting someone

1:12:40

who's unarmed stands against everything

1:12:42

that the

1:12:45

Jedi stand for it goes against everything

1:12:47

the Jedi stand for but she

1:12:51

also believes that That

1:12:53

See, it's hard to get inside mays head

1:12:56

because what does she believe does she believe

1:12:58

the Jedi killed the witch's coven Or

1:13:01

did may actually do it. We've

1:13:03

never heard her address that

1:13:05

specific situation the

1:13:07

only time she did is when

1:13:10

she and OSHA were on the

1:13:12

other sides of that collapsed bridge

1:13:14

and She

1:13:16

says what'd you do and then mace's well, what

1:13:18

did you do? And then OSHA says

1:13:20

what did you do? Polish

1:13:23

off the Emmys for the writers

1:13:25

of that Polish

1:13:28

off those Emmys because that's a no-brainer.

1:13:30

What did you do? What did you

1:13:32

do? What did you do? And

1:13:35

then the bridge collapses. So that is

1:13:38

like the extent of the dialogue that

1:13:40

we've seen may get

1:13:42

into about the destruction of

1:13:44

the witch's coven and So

1:13:47

places the blame Firmly

1:13:50

on me for starting the fire

1:13:53

and we saw me start a

1:13:55

fire So

1:13:58

it is you know all of the arrows

1:14:01

point to me being the

1:14:03

one who's responsible for the death of the family.

1:14:06

Also, if she's willing

1:14:08

to give up her quest for

1:14:10

revenge because she discovers Osha is

1:14:12

still alive, that means

1:14:15

her revenge was fueled by the

1:14:17

death of Osha, not

1:14:20

by the death of the witch's coven. That's

1:14:23

what I believe, because if

1:14:26

she felt like she needed to

1:14:30

go on a revengeful streak and

1:14:32

kill Jedi because they

1:14:35

killed the witch's coven, then she would

1:14:37

still have a legitimate reason for wanting

1:14:39

to hold on to that grudge and

1:14:41

for wanting to seek that

1:14:44

revenge. But no, it appears

1:14:46

that her revenge was only motivated by

1:14:48

the death of Osha and

1:14:51

discovering Osha is alive then removes

1:14:54

the quest for revenge from

1:14:57

me. But that should have happened

1:14:59

very quickly. That's what happened in

1:15:01

the moment when she realizes that

1:15:03

Osha is still alive. She's

1:15:07

halfway through with her mission

1:15:10

of killing Kel Naka, although,

1:15:13

you know, look, when faced with

1:15:16

having to attack and kill

1:15:18

a Wookiee and be unarmed

1:15:21

at the same time. Yes.

1:15:24

That's that's that's a challenge. But whoever

1:15:27

killed Kel Naka was armed. So why is it so important for her

1:15:29

to kill

1:15:42

Jedi unarmed? Is that maybe

1:15:45

just a lesson in the dark side, how

1:15:48

you don't need weapons, you have the strength

1:15:50

of the force, and you can

1:15:52

use the dark side to kill a Jedi, prove

1:15:55

yourself. Is it that sort of

1:15:57

situation? If that, you

1:15:59

know, and then And that would be specifically about

1:16:01

Mae and her training. To

1:16:03

me that makes sense, I guess. But

1:16:06

then when we stumble upon

1:16:08

Kalnaka, he's already been offed and

1:16:11

clearly been sliced with a

1:16:13

saber, which somehow kills him.

1:16:17

You could poke a saber right through Sabine

1:16:19

and that silly

1:16:21

Inquisitor lady. You

1:16:24

can do all that, but you

1:16:26

just brush it across Kalnaka's chest.

1:16:30

Yeah, yeah. I want

1:16:32

lightsaber consistency here. All

1:16:35

right. Oh, she may says

1:16:37

to Kaimir, you were wrong.

1:16:39

Osha being alive does change

1:16:41

everything. My loyalty is to

1:16:43

Osha, not your master. What

1:16:46

I'm going to do is surrender myself to Kalnaka and

1:16:48

then turn myself into the Jedi. It's

1:16:51

odd. It's abrupt. It's very

1:16:53

abrupt. He says the Jedi will put you in prison. She

1:16:55

goes, not after I tell them who I know. I'm

1:16:58

going to rat out the master. He

1:17:01

says he'll kill you. He'd have to find me

1:17:03

first. And I don't know if he'd even

1:17:05

make it all the way through here without a guide. Who

1:17:08

is the guide? The guide was Kaimir.

1:17:10

So we're now we're going back to

1:17:12

Kaimir. So so

1:17:15

she runs off to Kalnaka's house. She

1:17:17

finds Kalnaka dead. The Jedi

1:17:19

show up. Fondor

1:17:22

is like saying, come out with your hands

1:17:24

up. And

1:17:26

it's at that moment when we see

1:17:29

this really, like

1:17:31

you said, Jim, like

1:17:34

horror movie inspired drop

1:17:38

behind Osha of

1:17:42

the master,

1:17:44

the Sith master.

1:17:47

And it reminded me, yeah, there's a horror

1:17:49

movie element to it. We

1:17:51

see Dooku fly in the Genji

1:17:54

series. I don't think

1:17:56

I think that's the only time we've seen a

1:17:58

Jedi fly. know, it

1:18:01

kind of feels like or

1:18:04

whatever. Revenge of the

1:18:06

Sith that Vader sort of takes

1:18:08

flight when they're battling in

1:18:11

the carbon, the carbon. You mean

1:18:13

an empire strikes back? An

1:18:15

empire. Yeah. He's what did I say? Revenge of

1:18:18

the Sith. I thought, Oh, I'm

1:18:20

sorry. It's yeah. Whatever. There's

1:18:22

so many stupid movies. When he leaves off

1:18:24

the stairs, he kind of glides. Yeah. He

1:18:27

kind of glides. Glide for lack of a

1:18:29

better term. He sort of glides now. When

1:18:31

I first got a glimpse of that in

1:18:33

one of the trailers, I'm almost positive. I

1:18:35

saw it in a trailer. I was like,

1:18:37

Holy crap. Darth Vader flies. He

1:18:40

flies now. He flies now.

1:18:43

Yeah. That

1:18:45

wasn't quite the case, but it was sort of

1:18:47

like he does glide to a certain

1:18:50

extreme. Yeah.

1:18:53

But do we ever see any Sith

1:18:55

Lords flying? I guess not. You know,

1:18:58

we've seen Jedi do things at the

1:19:00

Fi gravity. No question about that. So,

1:19:04

you know, I think if a

1:19:06

Jedi can jump really high, he

1:19:08

can also kind of float his

1:19:10

way down to this very Dracula,

1:19:12

very Batman. Oh, yeah. And of

1:19:14

course, the soundtrack had what

1:19:17

could be considered a cliche, the sort

1:19:20

of dissonant string

1:19:23

sound with the bow on the

1:19:25

violence. You

1:19:27

know, it's it's

1:19:29

kind of cliche, but it's so effective.

1:19:31

It's so effective. There's a reason

1:19:33

why they use it. But

1:19:37

boy, everybody's head turns when they see

1:19:39

this thing show up. And

1:19:42

well, there it is. Now, I've looked at

1:19:44

this quite a bit

1:19:46

and, you know, the

1:19:48

shoulders are not. This is not a broad

1:19:51

shouldered individual. I

1:19:54

think the jury, the jury,

1:19:57

obviously the jury still out on who it is. There's the

1:19:59

smart money's on. I'm not ruling

1:20:01

out that this could be mother Anisaya. Mother

1:20:05

Anisaya, or it could be a coral

1:20:07

mother coral. I'm

1:20:10

thinking mother in a say, and I'll tell you

1:20:12

why, because mother Anisaya is

1:20:14

the one that learned from what we

1:20:17

think is a Sith Lord. How

1:20:20

to make force babies.

1:20:23

Yeah, maybe, maybe. So

1:20:26

she's got a history with this,

1:20:28

but perhaps. Yeah,

1:20:30

we saw her lying there dead. But of

1:20:32

course, you know, Obi Wan Kenobi

1:20:34

walked away from Anakin Skywalker thinking

1:20:36

he was dead and he reemerged

1:20:38

completely encased in armor as

1:20:41

a dark side user, a Sith Lord. So

1:20:43

that could be that could be one

1:20:46

of the two mother Anisaya would be that

1:20:49

would be a big bomb to drop. Oh,

1:20:52

sure. But it

1:20:54

also adds up the character is and

1:20:56

the fact that that that

1:21:00

that this thing makes no attempt to hurt

1:21:02

OSHA. Right. I'm

1:21:04

just almost pushed to her to safety. Yeah,

1:21:07

exactly what I was thinking

1:21:09

almost pushes her to safety

1:21:11

from the Jedi onslaught that's

1:21:14

about to happen. Now,

1:21:16

I will tell you this. Watching

1:21:18

the show and seeing this saber

1:21:20

pop up between OSHA and this

1:21:22

Sith Master. I

1:21:25

thought this was it for OSHA. And I

1:21:27

thought the rest of the series was going

1:21:29

to be about May

1:21:31

turning to the light side, getting trained,

1:21:33

going after the revenge for the death

1:21:36

of of her sister. So

1:21:39

I thought, yeah, but this is this is

1:21:41

all about bringing her back to the dark

1:21:43

side, essentially, eventually. And a

1:21:46

Jedi can't go out seeking revenge. That's

1:21:48

against the ocean. I mean, but May

1:21:50

is no Jedi. Right. Well,

1:21:52

well, you said she gets trained. I was

1:21:54

assuming you meant she got trained by the

1:21:57

Jedi. Yeah. But then she would eventually. This

1:22:00

was all about securing May

1:22:03

as a, as an acolyte, as a

1:22:06

Sith apprentice. Uh, a little

1:22:08

bit of a detour here, but kill

1:22:10

Osha. And then

1:22:12

which completely isolates her then get

1:22:15

her angry. But at any

1:22:17

rate, she's safe. Um, he just gives

1:22:19

that little nudge. These are some cool screenshots

1:22:21

that I took. It was a very intense,

1:22:24

uh, cool scene. We saw some of this

1:22:26

in the trailers leading up to the release of the show.

1:22:29

Uh, the Jedi with their sabers

1:22:31

drawn and going after the, uh,

1:22:34

the Sith master who just does that

1:22:37

little flick of the two fingers and

1:22:39

boom, Osha's off and, uh, he, she,

1:22:42

or it is ready to do business.

1:22:45

And the force push is incredible. I

1:22:47

mean, one force push and what is

1:22:49

that? Like a dozen Jedi practically, including

1:22:51

Saul, uh, eight, eight. I

1:22:53

did a head count. Okay. Eight Jedi,

1:22:55

you know, with one fell swoop.

1:22:57

This is a, you know, this is

1:22:59

a pretty powerful individual that we're dealing

1:23:01

with here. Wow. Yeah,

1:23:03

for sure. And, uh,

1:23:05

mother Anis, it was a pretty

1:23:07

powerful individual as well. So, um,

1:23:10

you know, they did spend time showing

1:23:14

Anis, a being an adept

1:23:16

force user and someone

1:23:18

who would be very capable

1:23:20

in a combat situation. Should it

1:23:23

necessitate necessitate itself? Remember the

1:23:25

power of many was never shown.

1:23:28

We saw the power of one push power

1:23:30

of two push. Then she got interrupted for

1:23:32

the power of many. I think we just

1:23:35

saw the power of many. I

1:23:37

think we just saw it when

1:23:40

this character pushes those eight

1:23:42

Jedi away. No, he might

1:23:47

be saying, well, that can't be mother Anis.

1:23:49

Say, uh, we heard this,

1:23:51

uh, Darksiders speak in

1:23:53

an earlier episode, but,

1:23:55

you know, I mean, come on,

1:23:57

did anybody see that solo movie with Enfies?

1:24:00

And she had a masculine voice

1:24:03

under that helmet all the way

1:24:05

up until she pulled off the

1:24:07

helmet to reveal a really

1:24:09

terrible actress. I'm

1:24:12

sorry that girl I lay in on

1:24:15

her pretty hard but she's just

1:24:17

about the worst actress I've ever seen. The

1:24:19

way she butchered every scene she was in

1:24:21

that Willard show was just, God, I mean

1:24:24

enough. The franchises all need to

1:24:27

just lay off with that girl. I don't even

1:24:29

know her name but the front up and everything.

1:24:32

You know she was the turn of the

1:24:34

Jedi when they

1:24:37

finally take out the

1:24:39

big star destroyer and it goes in and

1:24:42

it crashes into the death star and Akbar

1:24:44

just leans back in his chair, leans

1:24:47

back. Yeah, I like that. That's pretty

1:24:49

much how I feel after we've gone

1:24:51

through the entire episode. I

1:24:53

really relate to Akbar when he

1:24:56

just goes, of Acolytes.

1:25:02

Yeah I feel this sense of relief when

1:25:04

we've hit all the beats of the story and now

1:25:07

it's time just to take folk calls, okay? Last

1:25:11

week you were clearly gassed by

1:25:14

the end of- I was, I was. I

1:25:17

was like, I was. Now it's

1:25:19

your turn to entertain us callers. Yeah,

1:25:22

call us, talk to us. Talk

1:25:25

to us. But I mean I did think that

1:25:27

scene though with the Dark Sider was pretty effective.

1:25:29

It was very cool. Best thing

1:25:31

in the show so far. I don't know. Yeah,

1:25:34

it was pretty cool. Yeah, it was very cool. All

1:25:37

right. And a cool cliffhanger to leave all

1:25:39

the action because it's going to pick

1:25:42

up next week in the same spot. So there's

1:25:44

going to be, I really find it- I was so ticked

1:25:46

off. I was like- Now?

1:25:50

Now? Now when it's finally gotten good, I

1:25:52

get the credits? Well

1:25:55

I mean, you know, somebody

1:25:58

in the Facebook group. was

1:26:00

complaining about the cliffhanger. And

1:26:03

very quickly, some astute Rebel

1:26:06

Force radio listeners were reminding this person,

1:26:08

hey, Star Wars itself

1:26:10

was inspired by the classic

1:26:12

serials of the 30s and

1:26:15

40s with Buck Rogers and

1:26:17

Flash Gordon. And oftentimes, those

1:26:20

stories would end on

1:26:22

a big cliffhanger like this one, or

1:26:24

just stop right in the middle of a

1:26:26

sequence and you'd have to wait and see

1:26:28

what happens next week. So that's

1:26:30

what's happening here. I had no issues with

1:26:33

it feeling un-Star Wars-y or anything like that.

1:26:35

Just as a viewer, I was like, no!

1:26:38

Yes, it's finally good! Of course. Obviously,

1:26:41

you want to see more. And

1:26:43

the binge generation doesn't know how to wrap their

1:26:45

heads around things like this, you know? It's like,

1:26:47

oh my God, you're asking me to be patient?

1:26:50

Oh, I can't, I can't. But you have to.

1:26:52

And it's better this way, because now you have

1:26:54

a whole week to sort of speculate about what's

1:26:57

going to happen next. And that's the fun part

1:26:59

about Star Wars. I like Steve Perkins here in

1:27:01

the chat. He says, how mad will you be

1:27:03

when next week's episode is another flashback show? Well,

1:27:09

there's definitely going to be

1:27:11

more flashbacks to the

1:27:13

events that happen on Brandoch,

1:27:15

because I distinctly recall a

1:27:18

visual of Kal Naka

1:27:21

leaping into the air with his green

1:27:23

saber coming down to strike someone. So

1:27:27

there's going to be another

1:27:29

point of view presented via

1:27:31

flashbacks. I hope that

1:27:34

whatever flashback does occur, it happens

1:27:37

just briefly and doesn't dominate

1:27:40

an entire episode, because

1:27:42

I can't go back there for a whole

1:27:44

episode again. I just can't. I

1:27:47

just cannot go back to

1:27:50

those witches for another

1:27:52

full episode. And I hope I never have.

1:27:55

I'm with you, buddy. I am. I accept

1:27:57

the backstory, but I just don't want to spend.

1:27:59

more time with these broads. I just don't.

1:28:05

All right, let's go to the phones on

1:28:07

that note. Let's hear from Charlie.

1:28:10

Charlie's in Chicago. First time caller

1:28:12

and a Patreon member. Hello,

1:28:15

Charlie. Welcome to rebel force radio

1:28:17

after show. I'm

1:28:20

so excited guys. I'm here

1:28:23

to tell you answer all the

1:28:25

questions. Bernestra is the

1:28:27

set. Oh, really?

1:28:29

It could be like I

1:28:31

said, she has very unlikable quality that

1:28:34

could lead to work actually

1:28:36

evolving into a villain. I feel

1:28:39

those vibes coming off.

1:28:43

She's being rejected by the Jedi. So

1:28:47

if you notice in the last episode, there's that one

1:28:49

part where soul comes to get her at the galactic

1:28:52

bus station or whatever. And

1:28:54

she says something to the effect of you're asking me

1:28:56

back to the order and she kind of lights up

1:28:59

and he's like, no, I'll get your and

1:29:05

she's disappointed, right? Yeah. She

1:29:07

knows that she's she's she's

1:29:10

bait for that. Yeah. Yes.

1:29:14

And so there's two big lies happening in

1:29:16

this show. One is the lie that was

1:29:18

told to me about her sister being dead.

1:29:20

Yep. And then the other is the lie

1:29:22

about what happened that night. And

1:29:25

the first reveal of the truth to

1:29:28

the lie that was told to me is that may

1:29:30

just is like, Oh, well, I guess I don't

1:29:32

care about this. I'll just go to the Jedi turn myself

1:29:36

in and end all this because May's alive or

1:29:38

because OSHA is alive. But that may is the

1:29:42

lies. It's anger, right? Like there's

1:29:44

like fury and rage on her face.

1:29:46

And she, she does hesitate,

1:29:48

but she still shoots. And then

1:29:51

you know that they've

1:29:54

sort of primed you. They have

1:29:56

these four Jedi, all of

1:29:58

them except for soul. are

1:30:00

hiding from something, right? But

1:30:03

Sol is, I think, the only one who

1:30:05

actually doesn't really know what happened, but

1:30:08

I think he's starting to suspect as he tells

1:30:10

this unknowing lie over and

1:30:12

over again that your sister started a

1:30:14

fire and burned everything down. Okay, all right, so you're saying

1:30:17

that Sol is also in the dark, but

1:30:21

the other ones know. He's,

1:30:23

yes, because, and so

1:30:25

when you talk about killing a jetta,

1:30:27

I think it's metaphorical. I don't

1:30:29

think it's literal. I think they're saying take

1:30:31

what a Jedi is and end it. So

1:30:35

take Sol, this master

1:30:37

has provided May with

1:30:40

four sort of damaged

1:30:42

people that she can try

1:30:44

to corrupt, but she's not getting the lesson

1:30:46

and instead she's just killing them. So

1:30:49

you get to Sol, Sol,

1:30:51

once he finds out the lie, what's he gonna

1:30:54

do? Is he gonna kill

1:30:56

an unarmed person in rage? What's

1:30:59

he gonna do? Or is Osha

1:31:01

gonna do that? So

1:31:04

Osha's been rejected, angry.

1:31:07

She, there's all these people,

1:31:09

all the Jedi are primed to

1:31:12

turn. One of them just kills himself,

1:31:15

right? Yeah. Out of guilt. So

1:31:18

are you saying, Charlie, that you think that May

1:31:21

and Osha are gonna do like a little switcheroo where

1:31:24

it's Osha that's gonna fall to the dark side

1:31:26

and May's gonna be on the light side? Yeah,

1:31:29

she seems to be kind of on a redemption

1:31:31

path to me. I mean, the

1:31:33

fact that she just, it doesn't seem like she

1:31:35

really cared about anything the master was doing until,

1:31:38

after she finds out her sister is alive, she's just kind

1:31:40

of like, why does she turn

1:31:42

so fast? Do you know what I mean? So

1:31:45

what do I need this guy for? Yes,

1:31:48

and so, and then you got Vernestra who

1:31:51

seemingly has no point to the story

1:31:53

except to tell people like, don't tell

1:31:55

mom, right? Yeah. And

1:32:00

like, hey, this, the Jedi

1:32:02

was murdered. We know who it

1:32:04

is. Go kill her. Right?

1:32:07

Yeah. This

1:32:11

doesn't sound very Jedi like to me. And

1:32:13

then they fly out there, right? They

1:32:16

capture her. She was put on this prison

1:32:18

ship, prison ship crashes. And

1:32:21

she's like, Oh no, she's dead. Don't even bother

1:32:23

checking. Right? Yeah. And

1:32:25

what this does is this provide trusters with

1:32:28

this convenient experience to keep her acolyte

1:32:31

at that time, a secret. And

1:32:34

when that failed, she just

1:32:36

had to go with it. Right? So

1:32:38

like, we kind of like Palpatine, he's got this, he's

1:32:40

got Darth Maul, he gets cut in half. All

1:32:43

right. Next. You know,

1:32:45

I'm glad you brought up Darth

1:32:47

Maul, Charlie, because that's something

1:32:49

I thought about. Like

1:32:51

this, this Sith being so powerful

1:32:54

that he's able to force push

1:32:56

or they're able to force push

1:32:59

eight Jedi, including Saul, which by

1:33:01

all accounts is a pretty strong one. And

1:33:03

you got Darth Maul, who is

1:33:05

being trained by by Sidious

1:33:08

and Obi-Wan's a Padawan

1:33:11

at that point. He's a he's

1:33:13

not a knight and he's able to take care

1:33:15

of Darth Maul. Yeah.

1:33:18

So I mean, that makes sense. I

1:33:20

just think as Sidious as a Sith

1:33:22

Lord, I think that

1:33:24

yes, he does train his apprentice to

1:33:26

be a killing machine, but

1:33:30

he doesn't teach him everything. You know,

1:33:32

he wants to keep him down a

1:33:34

little bit because the Sith tradition is

1:33:36

the apprentice kills his master. And

1:33:39

that's how the order evolves. And

1:33:41

that's how leadership is passed from

1:33:44

master to apprentice is by killing

1:33:46

the apprentice killing the master. So

1:33:49

if I was training someone to be a Sith Lord, I

1:33:52

would keep a lot of secrets

1:33:54

to myself. I'm just saying. I

1:33:56

would not train the most greatest

1:33:59

Sith Lord. of all time. I

1:34:01

printed to be a loser. My apprentice

1:34:03

would be a squack. He would suck.

1:34:05

He would be the

1:34:07

suckiest of all time

1:34:09

just because I'm in the self-preservation, you know,

1:34:11

and I have to have an apprentice because

1:34:13

that's part of the rule of two. Right.

1:34:15

It's like check in the box. All right,

1:34:19

this technically is an apprentice. My

1:34:22

apprentice is going to be totally bush

1:34:24

league and you know, it's

1:34:26

just weak and lame. He's going to

1:34:28

be the worst sith ever. What? Hey,

1:34:30

I got my apprentice and

1:34:32

I'll be living a long time. Yeah. Hey

1:34:36

Charlie. Thanks for backing on that now. Oh, okay.

1:34:39

We've got no problem guys. We got it.

1:34:41

We got to jump to somebody else, but

1:34:43

great call. Thank you, Charlie. And thanks for

1:34:45

your patronage. Appreciate it buddy. All

1:34:48

right. Let's, uh, let's talk to, uh,

1:34:51

we got a Patreon from

1:34:53

the Boston area. Well, that's mysterious.

1:34:55

Hello, Boston area. Accolide. Oh, the,

1:34:58

the Accolide watch party. That's what

1:35:00

it is. Okay. All right. What

1:35:02

are you

1:35:08

knuckleheads thinking about this week? Oh

1:35:12

boy. Uh, well, I'm going

1:35:14

to start off. This is David from Boston.

1:35:17

Um, out of the, out of

1:35:19

the four of us, I think I'm the one

1:35:21

that's having the hardest time of the series. I

1:35:23

think there's a good story there, but

1:35:25

I just think that execution

1:35:29

is not very good. And

1:35:32

you know, well, I did

1:35:34

really enjoy the potty mouth profit over

1:35:37

this weekend. And he

1:35:39

mentioned there's going to be the rush

1:35:41

thing coming. I

1:35:44

see the seeds of it, but unless

1:35:46

the next four episodes really do it,

1:35:49

I mean, I just think they made

1:35:51

a big mistake last weekend with the flashback

1:35:54

that it should have been properly edited.

1:35:56

That could have been sprinkled throughout in

1:35:59

my domain. a little bit better.

1:36:01

Those are my two cents. I'm going

1:36:03

over the birthday boy, Brian. Brian,

1:36:05

happy birthday. That

1:36:08

guy makes a good much. I got

1:36:11

from Rebel Force flag. I got a

1:36:13

Scott got me a nice Rebel Force

1:36:15

hoodie for my birthday. Oh, very good.

1:36:18

Very good. Congratulations. Yeah. Check

1:36:20

out the shop at rebelforceradio.com

1:36:22

for all

1:36:24

of your Rebel Force radio

1:36:27

fashion desires. Now, Mac was

1:36:29

just commenting on

1:36:32

Dave from Boston's note

1:36:35

about the series. What were you

1:36:37

saying, Jim? Oh,

1:36:39

gosh. I thought he

1:36:41

made an interesting prediction there,

1:36:44

but then I got sidetracked by the RFR

1:36:47

hoodies and I can't remember what it was. All

1:36:49

right. All right. Well,

1:36:52

birthday boy, tell us what are you thinking

1:36:54

about this episode? I'll

1:36:57

be quick and then move on for you guys.

1:36:59

I think the episode was good.

1:37:02

My theory in it

1:37:04

is that the, the sith are going to

1:37:06

take care of themselves at the end of

1:37:08

this, that they're using everybody we've seen so

1:37:11

far as a pawn. And then at

1:37:13

the end, the, you

1:37:16

know, smile. Oh, Ryan is going to get taken out

1:37:18

by, by

1:37:20

whoever the actual sith would is to cover

1:37:22

their tracks after they've accomplished whatever they need

1:37:25

to accomplish. So also you guys

1:37:27

gave me a lot of crap last time about saying

1:37:29

the work you look terrible. And all I want to

1:37:31

say is you don't have to spend a lot of

1:37:33

money if you're going to knock them off after four

1:37:35

minutes of screen time. True. True. I don't

1:37:38

care how good you make it look. It's a, it's

1:37:40

a terrible idea. Again, there

1:37:42

is a good, I'm going to

1:37:44

keep you guys haven't seen yet

1:37:47

that shows him wielding the green

1:37:49

saver and force leaping

1:37:51

into battle. Yeah. So I remember exactly

1:37:53

what you're talking about. Yeah. He's jumping

1:37:56

as you say, force leaping with, we're

1:37:58

not done with hand. We're

1:38:00

not there was an official statement from

1:38:04

I can't remember who it was, Jim, but somebody

1:38:06

went on Twitter and said, explained

1:38:08

why that there

1:38:10

we didn't see the battle between

1:38:13

the whoever killed Kel Naka and Kel

1:38:16

Naka. And they apparently they had it

1:38:18

in the script and

1:38:20

it was value engineered out. They

1:38:22

they basically laid it on the budget. Okay.

1:38:26

That she did say something about budget,

1:38:29

but she also said things get cut

1:38:31

because of story reasons as well. And

1:38:34

I think it's impossible to set up even

1:38:36

the, you know, maybe this is a vague

1:38:39

mystery, but it seems to

1:38:41

me at the end of this episode, we are all

1:38:43

left to kind of debate

1:38:45

whether or not it

1:38:47

was the Sith Lord who killed Kel Naka

1:38:49

or it was someone else. You

1:38:51

know, I thought it was that little otter beaver and,

1:38:57

and, you know, or it could have

1:38:59

been kind of here. You

1:39:02

know, we didn't see it. So

1:39:05

it provides an

1:39:07

area of debate as we're

1:39:09

waiting for next week's episode. And

1:39:12

this is a show that likes to fancy

1:39:15

itself as a mystery. It

1:39:17

seems like mystery really drives the

1:39:19

story a lot. And

1:39:22

I think this falls into that category.

1:39:25

So she did say, she said, things

1:39:28

get cut for budgetary and story reasons.

1:39:30

It was originally written with the

1:39:34

attack on the Wookiee being shown on

1:39:36

screen. But even if

1:39:38

it was, I'm not sure if

1:39:40

the identity of the attacker would have been revealed.

1:39:44

So I don't see how they would have made that work. I

1:39:46

don't think they could have made that work because then it would

1:39:48

have spoiled the end. You'd have

1:39:50

to see the color of the saber. Right. And

1:39:53

all that. Now, this little otter beaver, Basil,

1:39:55

he is a Jedi. He

1:39:59

must. also have a saber and

1:40:02

he was the only person

1:40:04

there. How do

1:40:06

we know he's a Jedi? Because

1:40:08

he's revealed as a Jedi. They say he's a

1:40:10

Jedi. They say

1:40:12

he's a Jedi. I thought he was

1:40:15

just like having a canine

1:40:17

dog. He's like, no, no, no,

1:40:19

no. This

1:40:22

guy, he's a Jedi. He's he's part of

1:40:24

the order. He's he's not

1:40:26

just like somebody tagging along.

1:40:29

I thought he was I thought he was the pet.

1:40:32

I thought he was basically the canine dog. Sniffing

1:40:36

on Kel Naka. No,

1:40:38

I don't think so. I don't think so.

1:40:40

I believe he's a member of the order and. Just

1:40:45

a lot of fun to hang with. I

1:40:49

mean, you know, I don't know if there's confirmation of

1:40:51

that. I I saw Star

1:40:53

wars.com put out an article about

1:40:55

him. And I bet

1:40:58

you anything that I can find

1:41:00

this information somewhere in

1:41:02

the article about Basil,

1:41:05

or I could just open up the spice cabinet and

1:41:07

look in there and see what the ingredients I'm going

1:41:09

on record to say, I don't think Basil is a

1:41:11

Jedi. He no Jedi.

1:41:14

But let's see what our friends in Boston have to

1:41:17

say. I had to mute these guys. They're just so

1:41:19

cute. So we're out. Oh, I forgot. Yes. They

1:41:22

were even. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What's going on,

1:41:24

Boston? Hey, this is

1:41:26

Boston Dan over here. And

1:41:29

while while watching this episode,

1:41:31

it seemed like that

1:41:33

it was the storyline was

1:41:36

cut short. Once

1:41:38

again, reminiscing back to what FJ

1:41:40

was saying, that a lot of the

1:41:42

movies that they had already written out

1:41:44

were stretched out and made

1:41:46

into series, the

1:41:48

series, for example, like Kenobi. And

1:41:51

I feel like that this was a 12 episode

1:41:54

show that they shortened it

1:41:56

down to eight episodes. I

1:41:59

usually like to. point out the return

1:42:02

of Osha back to the Jedi temple and

1:42:05

her being cleared. And

1:42:09

it was only done in like a few

1:42:11

sentences and they cleared her. And

1:42:13

then also the sudden change of

1:42:15

May with the

1:42:17

quick struggle of what

1:42:19

she was doing and then transferring over

1:42:21

to, I'm going to do everything I

1:42:24

can to make everything right. I feel

1:42:26

for something like that, a

1:42:28

better character arc would have been if it

1:42:30

lasted a little bit longer and she was

1:42:32

struggling with a couple of the episodes. But

1:42:35

in this one, they just cut it right

1:42:37

to it. In episode

1:42:39

two, she saw her sister. Episode

1:42:43

three was a flashback and then episode

1:42:46

four was the sudden transfer

1:42:49

over. Like actually halfway through

1:42:51

the show was the changeover.

1:42:53

Which it feels just

1:42:55

really rushed to me. And that

1:42:58

was like the kind of the

1:43:00

only real issue I had with

1:43:02

the episode this time around. Okay.

1:43:04

That's fair because I feel that

1:43:07

May suddenly giving up was

1:43:09

very abrupt. And I feel

1:43:11

like there should have been some more setup to

1:43:13

that or some sort

1:43:15

of moment that would have

1:43:17

given her a more significant

1:43:20

crossing the threshold moment that

1:43:22

we all see and experience along with

1:43:24

her. Now I have

1:43:26

a correction. Basil, a

1:43:29

natural tracker and ally of

1:43:32

the Jedi Order. This is from Star Wars

1:43:34

dot com. So he's not a

1:43:36

Jedi. Okay. He's an ally. Basil

1:43:39

has a hypersensitive nose that

1:43:41

can detect his quarry at

1:43:43

a distance. The diminutive Basil

1:43:45

is tenacious in his

1:43:47

hunt. He's a buddy. He ain't no

1:43:50

Jedi. He ain't no Jedi. Yeah. Yeah.

1:43:52

He's just their their their beaver otter

1:43:54

dog. Yeah, exactly. That's who

1:43:56

he is. Yeah. He's just basically.

1:43:58

Yeah. He's all right Boston. Anybody

1:44:01

else want to jump on? Yep.

1:44:03

We got Scott St. Louis right

1:44:05

over here. All right, Scott. Hey,

1:44:07

guys. Hey, buddy. Good

1:44:10

to talk with you. Yeah, we got

1:44:12

the red milk going and

1:44:14

the red milk for helping us get

1:44:16

through this week. You

1:44:18

do red for a cleaning Kyber. Oh,

1:44:21

okay. Yes. Leading fiber. They were drinking

1:44:23

that last light side and

1:44:26

the blue milk goes well with the blue Oreos.

1:44:28

The red milk goes well with the red Oreos.

1:44:32

All right. So yeah, these

1:44:34

are tips from just want to say,

1:44:36

sorry, can we hurry up with this?

1:44:38

I got to get these guys out

1:44:40

of my house anyway. Thank

1:44:44

you guys for getting us through

1:44:47

this these weeks. And

1:44:50

as for me, the only thing I want from

1:44:52

Disney is I want like an old style mini

1:44:55

series that we got like in the 70s and

1:44:57

the 80s like roots where they'd be like a

1:44:59

five night event. Drop this all in a week

1:45:01

because I'm tired of waiting for Star Wars. It

1:45:03

was bad enough waiting from 1980 to 1983. But

1:45:09

that's all I got to say. I kind of

1:45:11

like the idea of like a five nighter. That'd

1:45:15

be sort of fun. Those were the days

1:45:17

back then. That's great. Yeah, I like it. I

1:45:20

like it. I like it. So go ahead,

1:45:22

Scott. I'm just going to say we'd have

1:45:24

to do after shows like every day. Awesome.

1:45:27

I know that's the part that drives

1:45:30

fear in the me that that

1:45:33

scheduling something like that. Boy,

1:45:35

oh boy. We would do it though.

1:45:37

Of course. Do it. You'd

1:45:39

have to. We'd have to. And that's why we love

1:45:42

you. All right. Well, we love you

1:45:44

guys too. Thank you very much. Appreciate

1:45:46

it. They see these guys get together every

1:45:48

week. Watch the the after show. Scott.

1:45:52

Sounds like Scott's the host. So he's got these.

1:45:54

He's got these guys. He's the

1:45:57

main leader of the debauchery.

1:46:01

All right. Well, I think everybody

1:46:04

knows what time it is, right? Blake,

1:46:12

what's going on, buddy? Shut shut. How are

1:46:15

you guys doing? Doing good, man. You're

1:46:17

our palate cleanser getting away

1:46:20

from the Boston guy. So what do you got

1:46:22

for us this week? We've thrown out a lot

1:46:24

of ideas. There's a lot of

1:46:26

theories on the table about who the dark

1:46:29

master could be. Could

1:46:31

it be Saul? Could it

1:46:33

be Vernestra? Could it be

1:46:36

Kaimir? I

1:46:39

have a bunch of different

1:46:41

people who I think could

1:46:44

be this. Well, there can only

1:46:46

be one, Blake. So

1:46:49

give us your top choice. Your

1:46:51

top choice. And you're going to help bear

1:46:53

it down. Oh, you need our help. Oh,

1:46:55

well, you didn't say that. Okay. Now we're

1:46:57

talking. You've come to the right place. You

1:47:01

come to the right place. Okay.

1:47:04

So the first one that I

1:47:06

have is the one everyone

1:47:09

has been saying he's

1:47:11

the sis. It's got

1:47:13

to be him. It's just

1:47:16

got to be Quimar.

1:47:21

Kaimir. Have you say Kaimir? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

1:47:23

I can never say right. Yeah.

1:47:26

Kaimir. It's a tough one. But

1:47:29

that's one where everyone I've heard

1:47:31

like a bunch of people say

1:47:34

that it's got to be you've

1:47:36

got to be the fifth Lord.

1:47:39

But she is a top choice for it.

1:47:41

He has a bunch of hints in this

1:47:43

episode, like Kaimir

1:47:47

in this episode, Osha says to him,

1:47:49

I needed you and I

1:47:53

couldn't have came here without

1:47:55

you. It's like along those words. It's

1:47:57

long. Right. Right. The guide. Yeah. going

1:48:00

to find this place. And then, uh, he

1:48:04

was saying that

1:48:06

he found what

1:48:09

he was. He found Calnaca. That's

1:48:11

right. Yeah. He found Calnaca and

1:48:14

she's talking about how unique he, he

1:48:16

was talking. I remember

1:48:18

who was telling the same about how you need a guide.

1:48:21

I think it was him. Yeah. Right. Yeah.

1:48:24

He's the guide. He's the guide. And, uh, they

1:48:27

says, uh, towards

1:48:30

the end after she sort of turns on

1:48:32

him, she says, well, I

1:48:34

don't, I'm not afraid of the master

1:48:37

because he'd had, how would

1:48:39

he find me? He'd need a guide. Well,

1:48:42

you're looking at the guide. Yeah.

1:48:44

There's, there's an interaction between the two.

1:48:46

That's all of that up. Um,

1:48:49

when he reveals Kaimir

1:48:52

says, Hey, where are you going? Because it

1:48:54

appears that May was prepared to

1:48:56

go off on her own to hunt down Calnaca.

1:49:00

But, uh, for some reason, Kaimir

1:49:04

manipulates the situation so he can be at

1:49:06

her side through the whole thing.

1:49:09

Maybe a witness is

1:49:11

required in this situation to make sure she actually does

1:49:16

kill him unarmed, kill

1:49:18

Calnaca unarmed. So it gets

1:49:20

set up, um, that, uh,

1:49:23

that the, the force is

1:49:25

very dangerous, right? And

1:49:27

that, um, Kaimir, uh,

1:49:29

he warns May about going off

1:49:32

on her own because Kofar is

1:49:34

largely uncharted. Meaning

1:49:39

you never know what's behind, you know, around

1:49:41

each corner because people haven't

1:49:43

been there to find where the

1:49:45

safe trails are on this planet.

1:49:47

He even says bounty hunters, won't

1:49:49

set foot in these forests. And

1:49:52

we know Star Wars bounty hunters to

1:49:54

be pretty damn bad ass. So

1:49:57

this establishes a few

1:49:59

things. The forest and

1:50:01

the surrounding area has the

1:50:03

potential of dangerous situations. It

1:50:07

establishes a reason for Khaimir

1:50:09

to tag along with May

1:50:11

and always be present in

1:50:14

what she's doing. And

1:50:16

it also, what's

1:50:19

my third point here? It's,

1:50:23

what do you think is the third point? What

1:50:25

didn't I bring up, young Blake?

1:50:28

Because I was going somewhere. Now

1:50:31

Mac needs your help. You called for our help. Now Mac

1:50:33

needs your help. Some of

1:50:35

us older Star Wars fans, we talk

1:50:37

because we think we're going to a

1:50:40

certain place. And then we get to

1:50:42

that place and it's not there. So

1:50:44

that's why I need you Blake. Give

1:50:46

me some youthful brain synapses firing here

1:50:48

to help me out. I

1:50:53

know that when

1:50:56

this is different, I'm pretty sure

1:50:58

from what you were just talking

1:51:00

about, when he's hanging upside down

1:51:02

though, he swishes tones. Like

1:51:05

he goes full serious and he says he will

1:51:07

kill you. Yeah, he does.

1:51:10

Like just completely swishes. Yep.

1:51:13

That's what really points towards it

1:51:15

for me. All right. Who

1:51:18

is suspect number two, Blake? Suspect

1:51:21

number two is the

1:51:24

mom crystal. Quarrel.

1:51:28

Quarrel. Quarrel. Quarrel.

1:51:31

Quarrel. Quarrel. I

1:51:34

have to write it down and I read

1:51:36

it and I don't know what I was

1:51:38

thinking. Well, I

1:51:42

threw out the idea that it's

1:51:44

mother Anisaya because

1:51:47

there's, there's. That's

1:51:50

my next person. All right. So

1:51:52

I think mother Anisaya is more likely

1:51:54

than Quarrel, but Mack

1:51:56

threw out, oh, can also be Quarrel. If we're looking

1:51:58

at Anisaya, why not look at it? at coral, too.

1:52:01

She's definitely the more militant of the two. Yes.

1:52:04

And the one with the bigger grudge,

1:52:06

it seemed she wanted to kill the

1:52:08

Jedi. Yes. When they land on the

1:52:10

stage. Yeah. In

1:52:12

their sleep, didn't she want to sneak into

1:52:14

their camp at night and slit their which

1:52:16

is a very which is a very sithy

1:52:18

thing to do because we knew

1:52:20

that city is

1:52:23

that plague is that's

1:52:25

canon. Yeah. So I think

1:52:27

that so here's how I would rank

1:52:29

him. I would say, Khmer is number

1:52:31

one for me. Number

1:52:33

two is mother and a say, and

1:52:38

number three is a character

1:52:41

that is yet to be revealed, meaning that there

1:52:43

is no, there

1:52:46

is no reveal in terms of it being

1:52:48

somebody we've already met. So no

1:52:50

big wow shock factor, which would be

1:52:52

on par by the way, would be

1:52:54

on par for Star Wars live action

1:52:56

TV series, all Star Wars

1:52:58

TV series for that matter. We have not

1:53:00

had, everyone's looking for the I am your

1:53:02

father moment. Give me an example

1:53:04

of how what

1:53:07

we've gotten that even

1:53:09

is close to that. We always

1:53:11

have these speculations. So

1:53:13

I'm going to go with number three is nobody

1:53:15

and number four is Saul. So

1:53:18

I'm putting nobody before Saul, but I'm not taking

1:53:20

him off my list. For

1:53:22

an extra doesn't fall

1:53:25

into this category anywhere. For

1:53:28

Destra Vern

1:53:31

as me and her friends call,

1:53:33

I got to correct myself. I got to correct

1:53:35

myself. I, my, my suspicion

1:53:37

of saw Saul is that he

1:53:39

could be the ultimate Sith

1:53:41

Lord. That would be

1:53:43

above the Sith master. So I'll throw for

1:53:45

Nestera row in there. I'll throw her.

1:53:47

Yes. Yeah. I mean, she's

1:53:50

so unlikable. She has so such great

1:53:52

potential to be a villain. I

1:53:55

wouldn't be surprised. I wouldn't be surprised. The

1:53:58

actress, Rebecca Henderson is actually.

1:54:00

married to Leslie Headland. So

1:54:04

you think the director would want to put her

1:54:06

wife up on some pedestal and make her

1:54:08

the superhero of the show, but

1:54:11

things aren't always that obvious.

1:54:14

You know, well, you know,

1:54:16

we're dealing with Star

1:54:18

Wars in the year 2024. So I don't know what

1:54:21

to think, but you

1:54:23

know, the way this story is being crafted and

1:54:25

stuff, I wouldn't be surprised at all if

1:54:28

Vernestra Rowe turned out to

1:54:30

be some sort of double agent or something.

1:54:32

That would be great. That would be great.

1:54:34

All of the options. She

1:54:38

has the

1:54:41

longest roots in the high

1:54:43

Republic universe,

1:54:45

right? Vernestra Rowe for sure. Yes.

1:54:48

Yes. So that would be a

1:54:50

big deal. You know,

1:54:52

maybe, maybe

1:54:57

Yoda may have been around a

1:54:59

little bit longer, but he's

1:55:01

not been revealed as

1:55:03

a suspect now. Yoda

1:55:09

and Kistor also has not

1:55:12

been revealed as innocent yet.

1:55:15

Yeah, he's still on the list. All right.

1:55:17

Hey, Blake, thanks as always, buddy. Have

1:55:19

a great night and we'll talk

1:55:21

to you next week. Okay. Okay.

1:55:23

All right, buddy. Appreciate the call. What?

1:55:49

Why? Well, it's only $1 each. We're getting way more

1:55:51

1:55:54

and pay just $1 each when you mix

1:55:56

or match any seven or more. Exclusions apply. See all

1:55:58

deals in the Meijer app. Hey

1:56:00

Billy, why don't we tell him what

1:56:03

it'll be about, man? So we're here

1:56:05

to welcome you to the Madhouse Chronicles.

1:56:07

It's a talk show with myself, Billy

1:56:09

Morrison... And me, Ozzy Osbourne. This man,

1:56:11

Prince of Darkness, and we watch and

1:56:13

react to the maddest internet clips. What

1:56:15

do we discuss, Ozzy? Drugs, rock and

1:56:18

roll, aliens, all that kind of shit.

1:56:20

Drugs, rock and roll, aliens, and all

1:56:22

that kinds of shit. Come and join

1:56:24

Ozzy and myself, visit osmondmediahouse.com to get

1:56:26

special access to... Come on! What do

1:56:28

you say? Do you think it's the

1:56:30

wildest show on the internet? Oh, hahahaha!

1:56:35

Uh, let's jump over to

1:56:38

Chandler from Atlanta. Hello, Chandler.

1:56:40

Patreon member, Chandler. I've had

1:56:43

a long time listening. Hey, there he is. Hey,

1:56:45

Chandler. Can you hear me? Now we can, yep.

1:56:47

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hey guys, long time

1:56:50

listener, love the show. So here's

1:56:52

my hair brain, numbskull theory. So

1:56:56

I think that Darth Jindjavitus, whatever

1:56:58

the hell his name is, I

1:57:01

think that he is actually sending me

1:57:04

out to kill

1:57:06

these four Jedi, not for revenge, but

1:57:08

I think that they know something about

1:57:11

the Force birth, and he's

1:57:13

trying to eliminate witnesses. So

1:57:15

I think what happened is they found

1:57:17

out what happened with the Force birth,

1:57:19

and then what happened is he decides,

1:57:21

well, we got to do something about

1:57:24

this. So he then may go kill

1:57:26

them. So that way, if

1:57:28

they kill her, then more evidence is gone and

1:57:30

he can just wipe out the rest of them.

1:57:32

I think either way, I like that. If

1:57:36

the witches are employing some sort of

1:57:38

Sith magic that they learned from a

1:57:40

Sith Lord, and

1:57:43

then all of a sudden they're being investigated by

1:57:45

the Jedi, yes, the

1:57:47

Sith would go out of their

1:57:49

way to exterminate any loose ends

1:57:51

that might have had knowledge of

1:57:53

this, just like the

1:57:56

mobsters they are. They would

1:57:58

whack Jedi. Jedi

1:58:01

who had knowledge and maybe these Jedi

1:58:03

do have the knowledge. There

1:58:05

has to be something there other than May's

1:58:08

vendetta. There has to

1:58:10

be something else there that motivates the

1:58:13

Sith and they

1:58:15

specifically want to see these four Jedi

1:58:17

offed. So if the

1:58:19

Sith are indeed behind it, if the Sith are

1:58:21

indeed behind it. Not only did Saul

1:58:24

not tell Vernestra Rho that there

1:58:26

was a sister, he also didn't

1:58:29

tell her that there was a chance that

1:58:31

the twin survived. I bet we're

1:58:33

going to find out that he also didn't share with

1:58:35

her that it was likely a force birth. Oh,

1:58:38

you probably probably was. I

1:58:40

mean, I would bet that he may not even

1:58:43

know. I think he was too busy getting the

1:58:45

kids and I think the other three, I

1:58:47

think the other three were more in

1:58:50

depth with the fighting the the witch and

1:58:52

coven. But

1:58:54

why does Kel Naka have the

1:58:56

illustrations on his

1:58:59

in his domicile of those

1:59:01

Sith tattoos? Is he

1:59:03

researching them or is it

1:59:05

something else? Is he one of

1:59:07

them? That's something else. That's

1:59:09

a twist that might be

1:59:11

in there like Kel Naka himself was

1:59:14

in league with these witches. I

1:59:16

don't. Well,

1:59:20

I mean, it's just true. You can't trust a

1:59:22

Wookiee Jedi. That's right.

1:59:26

It's not like the Wookiee Jedi. What

1:59:30

was that Chandler? I said you

1:59:32

can't trust them, but I can. Oh, OK.

1:59:34

Yeah. Yeah. All right. Right.

1:59:36

Right. And we are devotees, devotees

1:59:38

of the Wookiee Jedi and Chandler Chandler.

1:59:41

I have to turn my back on

1:59:43

you. That's the end of your. There

1:59:46

you go. There goes Chandler. Let's

1:59:49

talk to Brian. Brian's calling in

1:59:51

from Tennessee. He's got a theory

1:59:53

wants to share. Hey,

1:59:55

Brian. Brian. Hey, guys. There's

1:59:58

there is nothing. you have

2:00:00

said or that anybody has said that I

2:00:03

wasn't going to talk about. So

2:00:05

I guess thunder and has been stolen.

2:00:09

That's okay. Maybe you stated better.

2:00:11

Maybe you'll. Yeah. Well,

2:00:13

no, no, listen, I'm from the

2:00:15

South. I don't state many things better. Let

2:00:18

me, let me just say, say this,

2:00:21

y'all that I will y'all.

2:00:25

I will say this. Yoda does say this

2:00:27

is, this has nothing to do with my theories,

2:00:29

but Yoda does say rejoice when somebody goes to

2:00:32

the forest, when somebody's transformed to the forest, going

2:00:34

back to, Yeah, he said that to

2:00:37

Anakin hours before Anakin raided the Jedi

2:00:39

temple and killed young lings. Exactly

2:00:42

right. Hey Yoda, I thought we

2:00:44

were supposed to rejoice. Are you

2:00:46

rejoicing and all these padawans being

2:00:49

massacred? It was the green light. That

2:00:53

was the green light. Anakin was looking

2:00:55

for there. I think so. I think

2:00:57

so. Hey, Joy, Yoda

2:00:59

said I could do it. So I'll do it. Right.

2:01:04

Then to go back

2:01:06

to the, to the otter kit, the

2:01:08

otter guy in the audio

2:01:10

description, they actually say he's a Jedi.

2:01:12

They say, say it multiple times. They

2:01:15

say Jedi, what a chisel

2:01:17

Jedi, but it has to be at

2:01:19

starwars.com. He's an ally. They call him

2:01:21

Jedi several times. Yeah. Go back

2:01:24

after, I guess tonight and just go

2:01:26

to that point where, where

2:01:29

he's sniffing it out and

2:01:31

you'll, you'll, they'll call him Jedi, Jedi Basil.

2:01:34

Right. Right. And

2:01:37

they take those notes from the

2:01:39

script itself. So, you

2:01:41

know, whatever they're smoking at starwars.com, I think

2:01:43

they do things just to throw us off

2:01:45

the track, but you know,

2:01:49

because I knew I wasn't just making that up.

2:01:51

I thought Basil was a Jedi. It wouldn't make

2:01:53

more sense if he was actually an

2:01:55

ally of the Jedi, like they say on the website,

2:01:58

but the audio. Scriptive

2:02:00

track does refer to him as Jedi.

2:02:02

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I think so. Yeah.

2:02:04

Yeah Jason I'm I'm with you when

2:02:07

you talk about mother Anna say and

2:02:09

the only reason to there's two reasons

2:02:11

number one They talked

2:02:13

about Made

2:02:16

says something interesting. She says this isn't

2:02:18

a test. This is a this

2:02:20

is a lesson And if you

2:02:22

go back and think about episode 3 What

2:02:26

Anna say it was doing was

2:02:28

giving lessons. She wasn't She

2:02:31

was giving them lessons and then and then

2:02:33

the force push now. She's had 16 years

2:02:36

to increase that force push And

2:02:40

but that's what she was doing in

2:02:42

those lessons was force pushing. She

2:02:44

May have gotten better at it knows that

2:02:47

the fifth me. Oh, we didn't get a

2:02:49

chance though. Brian We didn't get a chance

2:02:51

because she was interrupted. She was going to

2:02:53

do the power of many. Yeah, but

2:02:56

Girls, you know, we're acting a fool Settle

2:02:59

down here. I'm I'm turning

2:03:02

this coven around and we're going home. I

2:03:07

Will throw one person out that didn't know I

2:03:09

said it tonight and it's in Dara

2:03:11

and I know we saw her die But

2:03:14

you know if people can come

2:03:16

back from from late from from

2:03:18

a lightsaber Thousand

2:03:21

degrees in the gut not melting yet,

2:03:24

then one little knife shouldn't kill a Jedi

2:03:26

but but here's the reason every every murder

2:03:28

has a motive and In

2:03:32

in in a say I has

2:03:34

it has a motive in that they took one

2:03:36

of her daughters, right? I'm the fifth maybe playing

2:03:38

her on that she took one of her daughters.

2:03:41

That may be a motive The other

2:03:43

would be in Dara's Maybe

2:03:46

she wasn't on the up-and-up and what she

2:03:48

did now a couple of callers have said

2:03:50

that Saul Might not have seen what went

2:03:52

down in the tent in that little temple

2:03:55

or whatever. We want to call that place

2:03:58

So maybe in Dara Is

2:04:01

trying to clean up her mess and

2:04:03

and or and kill the Jedi's

2:04:05

that were there Well,

2:04:08

I don't know. Well, I

2:04:11

think looking at in Dara though I

2:04:13

think is is smart not because I

2:04:16

think she's potentially a Sith master But

2:04:19

we've got Kel Naka and

2:04:21

Torbin Who we can

2:04:23

visibly see? Trying

2:04:26

to cope with whatever trauma

2:04:29

Was created or that they experienced

2:04:32

on Brandach but

2:04:34

you don't see Saul I

2:04:36

mean, I guess you could make a case

2:04:38

that saw the way he's coping with it

2:04:41

is his attachment to OSHA

2:04:43

and now his kind of obsession

2:04:46

with May Okay, but

2:04:48

we don't know anything about in Dara We

2:04:51

don't know how how the the what

2:04:54

happened on Brandach affected her at all

2:04:56

There's some speculation that she was in that bar

2:04:58

cuz she was in hiding I

2:05:01

don't know that that's necessarily true could be

2:05:03

could be she had the hood up So

2:05:06

maybe she was trying to maintain a little profile. I

2:05:09

thought the same thing Jason I thought all

2:05:11

three of them are dealing with something in

2:05:13

their own way Kel Naka all

2:05:15

he can get out and he's Tormented by

2:05:17

that circle. He's tormented by that and that's

2:05:19

why it's on the wall so many times

2:05:23

In Torbin was so tormented by whatever

2:05:25

happened that he took the barrage

2:05:27

vow, right? And then here's the thing with in

2:05:29

Dara. Here's the thing with in Dara The only

2:05:31

thing I could go to is maybe she wasn't

2:05:33

on an outpost. Maybe she was

2:05:35

there She banked she vanquished herself there and

2:05:38

but think about this. There was one dot

2:05:41

we and everybody said it There was one

2:05:43

dot by her eye after

2:05:45

this. There's two that may be

2:05:47

the circle her circle like

2:05:49

like Cal Naka has in

2:05:51

his house that could be his

2:05:54

her circle is the dot in her eye And

2:05:56

she may be like you just said in hiding It's

2:06:00

Interesting Wow Brian you laid a lot on us

2:06:03

Thanks, buddy, and thanks for being

2:06:05

a patreon. Thanks for hanging He

2:06:07

is right about in Daras. You'd have one single

2:06:10

black dot in the corner of her eye

2:06:14

in the flashback But then when

2:06:17

we see her in the

2:06:19

first episode in present time

2:06:21

when she faces down with me she has

2:06:23

two Dots there now

2:06:26

that could be some cultural thing from

2:06:28

whatever species she is Where

2:06:31

they like I don't know maybe it was a mole She

2:06:34

grew another mole the power. I thought

2:06:36

I actually thought that that was just

2:06:38

Carrie and mosses look I didn't even

2:06:40

think twice about it being a tattoo

2:06:42

or a mark or something. I

2:06:45

thought it was a mole The power

2:06:47

of one mole the power of two mole And

2:06:50

if she lived we would have seen the power of

2:06:52

many moles all over her face that would have been

2:06:54

really wild but No,

2:06:57

not not quite the case. Oh, you know going back

2:06:59

to what we were saying about soul though and What

2:07:02

that caller was talking about? There's

2:07:06

a moment in this episode where Vernestra

2:07:08

row fears the emotional connection

2:07:11

soul has yes to the

2:07:13

twins Yeah,

2:07:15

and I think there's some

2:07:17

level of foreshadowing going on there

2:07:21

to a degree So once

2:07:23

a fine man bring her in Vernestra

2:07:26

row fears the emotional

2:07:28

connection Soul

2:07:30

reveals maze objective is not solely

2:07:32

her own So he

2:07:34

believes the dark side. There's a dark

2:07:36

Lord behind all of this pulling the

2:07:39

strings Row believes maze

2:07:41

and may answers to a master as

2:07:43

well And is part of

2:07:45

a bigger plan a shift of

2:07:48

the scales. She says she's she's talking

2:07:50

about the balance of the four Yeah,

2:07:52

some sort of shift something to tip

2:07:54

the scales Yeah,

2:07:56

yeah. Hey while we're talking about Vernestra

2:08:00

Vinestra, there's two times during

2:08:02

that scene that she

2:08:04

says when

2:08:07

it's brought up that maybe may

2:08:09

won't come peacefully. She

2:08:11

says, I'm not expecting it to come to

2:08:13

that. A minute later, I

2:08:18

think it might be Yord might say it.

2:08:22

If she resists arrest and

2:08:24

Holden neutralizes her, it won't come to

2:08:26

that says Vinestra.

2:08:30

So why is she so

2:08:32

certain that it's not going to come

2:08:34

to that to the

2:08:36

point where she says it twice? Well,

2:08:39

maybe she was sensing the same

2:08:41

thing. Soul was when he said

2:08:43

he felt something shift in

2:08:45

May when he revealed to her that

2:08:48

a social OSHA was still alive. Her

2:08:50

eyes softened, she became a

2:08:52

different person. There is still good in

2:08:54

her is what soul said. So

2:08:57

maybe Vernestra is kind of feeling

2:09:00

the same vibes. Yeah,

2:09:03

maybe. I mean, that's what, you know, that's what

2:09:05

soul says to OSHA to convince her to join

2:09:08

him, to smoke her out and

2:09:11

use her as bait, which they never really get

2:09:13

the chance to do, at least

2:09:16

in this episode. And

2:09:18

OSHA agrees to join soul despite

2:09:21

her fearing May because she's a

2:09:23

murderer. So,

2:09:25

but she trusts soul and his connection to

2:09:27

the force. And soul

2:09:30

says he felt something shift in

2:09:32

May. This could be

2:09:34

something also that Vernestra was tapping into

2:09:36

as well. Let's

2:09:38

get some more super chats in here. Here's

2:09:41

Tanya. Tanya on vacation

2:09:43

in Palm Springs, where it's hotter than

2:09:45

tattooing. It's hot everywhere,

2:09:47

but I can only imagine Palm Springs

2:09:49

in the desert. RFR

2:09:51

number one, cheers, boyos with

2:09:54

three clinking beers.

2:09:56

Thanks Tanya. And enjoy your vacation.

2:09:58

Cheers. Yeah.

2:10:00

Rich Brendal. Yeah.

2:10:04

Key is a little. Yeah.

2:10:06

Yeah. Oh, yeah. Key. Aha.

2:10:08

Key. I got it now. Yeah. Key

2:10:10

is a little negative. But what do

2:10:12

you expect from a guy with five

2:10:15

wives? The

2:10:18

power of one, the power of two, the

2:10:20

power of five. No, Kiko. Nice. Nice. Rich.

2:10:23

He's he's he's. He said he's

2:10:25

the only thing that shaped this way. Oh,

2:10:29

come on. Come on.

2:10:33

It's got five problems, as I'm hoping,

2:10:35

Kaimir isn't zipper face because it's way

2:10:37

too obvious. Yeah. Or they could. Red

2:10:40

herring sort of thing. Smoke screen, maybe. Yeah.

2:10:44

I don't know. I just don't think that they're.

2:10:48

They're taking those big risks in

2:10:51

with these shows, I just don't think they're doing that.

2:10:53

But I'll be impressed and I'll be very pleased. It's

2:10:56

pretty odd. This is Dominique Garrett says it's

2:10:59

pretty obvious they'll be awakened by the battle

2:11:01

and attacked by the lightsabers and

2:11:04

Duos ex Mothina the battle.

2:11:07

Oh, oh, oh, right. Yes.

2:11:10

So they were awakened, just like

2:11:12

Godzilla is awakened by whatever awakens

2:11:14

Godzilla. In this case, Mothra,

2:11:18

Star Wars Mothra was awakened by the lightsabers

2:11:20

in the battle. So

2:11:23

maybe there'll be more of those Moths,

2:11:25

Jim, and you'll get your big. Monster

2:11:29

moment. Well, that's what I want, I mean,

2:11:31

I want something weird to happen

2:11:33

in the forest. Is that too much ask? See,

2:11:37

the thing that bugged me the most, why is my

2:11:39

guard up? The thing that bugged me the most in

2:11:42

that first episode of the Ahsoka series

2:11:44

is that she goes down into that

2:11:46

tomb or whatever it is, and she

2:11:49

starts turning the the

2:11:51

the cylinders and that's in

2:11:53

that post or whatever. I mean,

2:11:55

there was there was nothing, you know, a lot of

2:11:57

people were saying, oh, this is like Indiana Jones. Look

2:12:00

at her in there. But there

2:12:02

was nothing threatening within

2:12:04

that chamber. I wanted to see

2:12:06

darts fly out of the wall. I

2:12:08

wanted to see spikes come up out of the

2:12:10

floor. Something, anything. Then

2:12:13

I will agree with you. It's

2:12:15

like Indiana Jones. But instead, it

2:12:17

was just a soak in this

2:12:19

room by yourself, sort of like

2:12:21

solving a Rubik's Cube. And

2:12:23

to me, that's not as exciting as

2:12:26

Indiana Jones going into the tomb to

2:12:28

pull out the treasures. There's

2:12:30

nothing even close to it. There's no exotic, there

2:12:32

was no exotic threat

2:12:35

to a soak at all in that situation.

2:12:37

And so looking at this

2:12:39

series, being fueled by

2:12:41

that from the last Star

2:12:43

Wars series, I was

2:12:46

expecting to see something happen

2:12:48

in the forest, but

2:12:50

not really surprised when nothing happened

2:12:52

in the forest, except for a

2:12:55

big bug. They swatted a big

2:12:57

bug. Okay. Good

2:12:59

for them. I need

2:13:01

stronger threats. I need

2:13:04

more clever situations being

2:13:06

constructed in environments

2:13:08

like that forest. And I thought they were

2:13:10

going there with the lumps on the trees,

2:13:13

but that only served as a device

2:13:15

to bring a soak or

2:13:17

keep calling her so okay. OSHA's

2:13:20

connection back to the force.

2:13:23

That's all it was just that sort

2:13:25

of device. I wanted to see those

2:13:27

bugs attack. I don't even care

2:13:29

if they attack, they could just poop on the heroes

2:13:31

and I'd be excited about that. But

2:13:33

no, it doesn't happen. Yeah. And

2:13:36

it just kind of ticked off mom

2:13:38

Mothma. Yeah, I guess. Yeah. I guess

2:13:41

that was the nest and

2:13:43

the Mothra was, was, you know, what

2:13:46

I said, I said, mom Mothma. Yeah,

2:13:48

I got it. I got it. Jonathan.

2:13:52

Okay. It's too much happening right now.

2:13:54

I'm thinking God, you're taking hand or

2:13:56

this is crazy. Tilly says when they

2:13:58

entered the forest. Forrest and Saul made

2:14:01

the comment about the forest. I thought of Drengeer,

2:14:04

a plant creature that distorts

2:14:07

force from higher public novels. Okay.

2:14:09

The drink here are basically dark

2:14:12

side plants that are semi sentient

2:14:14

and they attack Jedi. Okay.

2:14:17

Listen, I didn't make this stuff up. But

2:14:20

that would have been great if you had some

2:14:22

Drengeer in that forest, that would have been exciting

2:14:24

stuff. But instead we just got

2:14:27

big lumps on trees that were bugs

2:14:29

in the big, what'd you say? Mon

2:14:31

Mothma bug. The

2:14:33

Mon Moth was just called Mon

2:14:35

Moth. That's the name of the

2:14:37

mom Mothma. She was the

2:14:40

mom of all the larva pepper

2:14:42

spray. Johnny says I remember him

2:14:45

from last week. This dude. Yeah.

2:14:47

Yeah. Even though I gave him the

2:14:49

name, he did

2:14:52

you really? Oh, right. Yeah. Right. Yeah. Pepper

2:14:55

spray Johnny. He says, even though there are

2:14:57

cutaway shots between Osha and made and apply

2:14:59

these events are happening at the same time,

2:15:01

I'm still not convinced that they

2:15:03

are separate in body. Perhaps Osha is

2:15:06

projecting made. That is a theory that I'm hearing

2:15:08

about that. This is some sort of elaborate

2:15:11

force projection. Allah Luke in

2:15:14

the last

2:15:16

Jedi. But man, that's

2:15:18

a lot of power. That is I mean,

2:15:20

it kills Luke Skywalker and he's the son

2:15:22

of the chosen one. Yeah.

2:15:25

Yeah. So casual usage of

2:15:27

it might be

2:15:29

restrictive. However, Luke

2:15:32

was tapping purely into the dark side of

2:15:35

the force to create that force

2:15:37

projection. Maybe it's a lot easier

2:15:39

on you physically if you

2:15:41

do it by tapping into the dark side.

2:15:44

So two sides of the coin maybe

2:15:47

with two different results in

2:15:49

two different ways. It taxes your system

2:15:51

as a force user. Mariana

2:15:54

says J&J. I believe your prediction

2:15:56

of KK Kathleen Kennedy

2:15:58

using Filoni as The fall guy

2:16:00

is coming true. The fan base is going

2:16:03

off on him like crazy. Wait,

2:16:05

when did we ever say that

2:16:07

Kathleen Kennedy is placing

2:16:09

Filoni in the opposite? Did we say

2:16:11

that? I mean, maybe we did. I

2:16:13

don't recall. We threw that out as

2:16:15

a possibility. Yeah, we did. Okay. Okay.

2:16:17

All right. Well, eat it up. Eat

2:16:19

it up, internet. There it is. The

2:16:23

fan base is going off on him like crazy.

2:16:25

You guys rocket F more class than the entire

2:16:28

Lucasfilm story group combined. We are very

2:16:30

classy. We are

2:16:32

very classy. We have more class and more

2:16:34

knowledge too. Don't forget that. And

2:16:38

finally Scott St. Louis Boston area, acolyte after

2:16:40

show, watch party like James Bond and podcast

2:16:43

will return. Oh, we can't wait. We

2:16:45

can't wait. All right. Well, podcast,

2:16:48

he brings up something interesting. I made

2:16:51

a note here because

2:16:53

you confused coral with coral from Dr.

2:16:55

No, I sure did. All right. That

2:16:57

didn't get by me. That didn't get

2:16:59

by me. I was great. I thought

2:17:01

that was hilarious. And I just wonder

2:17:04

if next week there'll be a character

2:17:06

that makes us think of Puss Feller,

2:17:08

we'll have to just think to and

2:17:10

define now. That's for

2:17:12

you. Dr. No, no, there. Oh,

2:17:16

all right. Well, thank

2:17:18

you all very much for bringing it this week. Acolyte

2:17:21

after show a big

2:17:23

thanks to our call screener and

2:17:26

official program observer Tyler Page. Tyler,

2:17:28

you were busy tonight. Lots of

2:17:30

calls. We didn't get through all

2:17:32

of them. Jam pack switchboard. Do

2:17:36

you know anything? You're observing. You

2:17:39

are. Yes, you were sure surfing. I like that. Yeah.

2:17:44

Any any points that we should have made anything

2:17:48

we left out. Did

2:17:51

you guys talk about when they first

2:17:53

arrived on Kofar and they were interviewing

2:17:55

that the local Oh,

2:17:58

yeah. Right. I just thought it was

2:18:01

true. I didn't really weird. You

2:18:03

have nothing nice to say. OK,

2:18:07

it was a weird edit to me that she

2:18:09

interviews him and they're like, yeah, you ran off

2:18:11

in the forest and then it cuts to Saul

2:18:14

saying like right after that, so I was

2:18:16

like. Kalamaka

2:18:19

is in that forest and I'm like, well,

2:18:21

yeah, she just said that. Like, it

2:18:23

just didn't make sense to me that you needed to

2:18:25

include that. Both scenes. I don't

2:18:27

know. What didn't make sense to

2:18:29

me was that Jackie, who's

2:18:31

this straight as an arrow

2:18:34

by the book, Jedi Padawan

2:18:36

is like is like a big,

2:18:38

hairy thing, you know, like a it's

2:18:40

like big and hairy. It's a Wookie.

2:18:42

Come on. We're in the Star Wars

2:18:45

universe. Everybody knows what a Wookie

2:18:47

is. Oh,

2:18:49

yeah, I hate that. I hate

2:18:51

that modern stupid humor that they

2:18:53

put in these shows sometimes me

2:18:55

crazy. Stupid. Yeah,

2:18:59

and all the callers are wondering who's in that set

2:19:01

the mask as you guys can tell. So yeah, who

2:19:03

do you think it is? I alert. Who

2:19:06

do you think it is? Uh, I

2:19:09

don't think it's Kaimir. I think

2:19:11

that's a really OK. Yeah,

2:19:13

yeah. Mr. Excellent. If

2:19:16

he was a civil word, I don't think he would have ran into

2:19:18

that trap, but maybe he

2:19:20

did it on purpose. That's

2:19:22

a good point. Yeah,

2:19:24

I mean, he's obviously looking like

2:19:27

kind of a clumsy doofus. But

2:19:30

I you know, the Sith are all

2:19:32

about being manipulative and

2:19:35

presenting, presenting

2:19:37

an appearance that's not

2:19:39

really, truly who they are. I

2:19:42

mean, look at Palpatine in the

2:19:44

prequels. He was acting like some run

2:19:46

of the mill politician. And

2:19:48

then the next thing you know, you realize

2:19:50

that he's fueled by the dark side. And

2:19:55

Miles different from the public

2:19:57

persona. He had been. emanating

2:20:01

up until the part he actually gets fried by

2:20:03

his own Sith lightning he seems

2:20:06

like just a regular old

2:20:08

guy politician so things

2:20:11

aren't always what they appear if

2:20:13

it's chimer I'll be disappointed I'll just

2:20:15

say that yeah because it's so obvious

2:20:18

yeah I'm with I wasn't

2:20:20

thinking it was obvious until this episode

2:20:22

but now now I know I think

2:20:25

so all right Tyler appreciate it buddy

2:20:27

thanks for being here is all I'm down sir what

2:20:31

you said abidansa abo

2:20:33

danza yeah let's I'll

2:20:35

keep thank you mama's Celeste all

2:20:38

right thanks Ty all right Jimmy

2:20:42

Mac final thoughts acolyte episode

2:20:44

4 day day

2:20:46

what is the title day even mean

2:20:48

I mean that's kind of a lame

2:20:51

title for any episode day I

2:20:54

mean what does that even mean and

2:20:57

I start thinking about master soul soul means son

2:20:59

maybe it's a sunny day I don't know and

2:21:01

that's the best I can do give

2:21:04

me a title I can analyze properly damn it

2:21:07

I did like the opening of the episode

2:21:09

with Kalmaka walking around so far he's he

2:21:11

looked cool just wearing the brown robe with

2:21:14

the hood up I thought that

2:21:16

was a good look I enjoyed seeing him like

2:21:18

that I also liked the padawan

2:21:20

training session as the padawans

2:21:22

are going through lightsaber training

2:21:25

using wooden block tokens and

2:21:28

Jackie Lon is there and you got

2:21:30

that ginger hair Jedi he actually does

2:21:33

have a name they

2:21:35

actually gave that character name but he looked cool

2:21:37

I want to see more I really

2:21:40

like the ginger Jedi something

2:21:43

we didn't bring up in our conversations

2:21:46

is one of the Jedi masters believes

2:21:48

may could have come

2:21:50

from in splinter order a

2:21:53

splinter order would that be a group

2:21:56

of force users who have

2:21:58

broken off from the Jedi and formed

2:22:00

their own thing. Is that

2:22:02

what a splinter order is? Have we

2:22:05

ever seen splinter orders before in Star

2:22:07

Wars? Are the Knights of Ren a

2:22:10

splinter order? I'm not really sure

2:22:12

what that means. Are the witches

2:22:15

a splinter order? Who

2:22:17

knows. But I thought that

2:22:19

was interesting that there's knowledge

2:22:21

of other orders

2:22:23

of force users throughout the galaxy.

2:22:26

And when they say splinter, that

2:22:28

leads me to believe that they splintered

2:22:30

off from the main piece. They

2:22:33

they're a rogue

2:22:35

sect of Jedi, who are

2:22:37

they created their own sort of

2:22:40

force order. I

2:22:43

hope that gets looked into a little bit more.

2:22:47

When Osha was leaving the temple, I

2:22:49

just noted that there was that little

2:22:51

furry alien from Solo in the background

2:22:54

with the ear, they like add two ears

2:22:56

and whatever. I just thought

2:22:58

it was cool to see that little alien again.

2:23:04

When soul convinces

2:23:06

Osha to join them

2:23:09

on the mission to Kofar.

2:23:13

Osha says I'm not wearing a civilian

2:23:15

robe. And then in

2:23:17

the next shot, she's wearing a civilian

2:23:19

robe. Now,

2:23:22

they played that up for laughs. And

2:23:25

it would have been funny if

2:23:27

the audience actually had a clue as

2:23:29

to what a civilian robe is. There's

2:23:33

no payoff. We never see or

2:23:36

her talk of civilian robes. And

2:23:39

then she's wearing one is that supposed to be

2:23:41

funny fail. I didn't

2:23:43

think that's a robe was more

2:23:45

like a jumpsuit. There was no

2:23:47

role. Yeah, it was even it

2:23:50

was like a flight. No suit.

2:23:52

Yeah. Yord, Yord, he reveals the

2:23:54

order station Kalamakan Kofar, but nobody

2:23:56

heard from him in a year.

2:23:58

A lot of people Online

2:24:01

discussing this episode have been

2:24:03

saying that Cal

2:24:05

Rocket had self-exiled

2:24:09

and moved away from the Jedi Order. And

2:24:11

I'm like, God, did you even see the

2:24:13

episode? I just am only bringing it up

2:24:16

because I saw a lot of people

2:24:18

saying that online. And

2:24:20

speaking of Yord, I don't

2:24:24

know if it's Disney or Lucasfilm or

2:24:26

who's trying to do this, but

2:24:29

they're trying to establish some sort of

2:24:31

like fandom connection between

2:24:34

the audience and Yord, and

2:24:36

they've created this thing called the

2:24:39

Yord Horde. Okay,

2:24:43

that stuff needs to be earned by

2:24:45

the fan base. You can't

2:24:48

manufacture a Lucasfilm. Lord

2:24:51

Horde, lame. Yord Horde,

2:24:53

lame. All right, I'm just saying.

2:24:56

And that has nothing to do with the episode.

2:24:58

It has everything to do with the marketing of

2:25:01

this show, which I think has been abysmal.

2:25:05

Yord says most Padawans want

2:25:07

to learn She-Wook,

2:25:09

She-Wook, Shrewook, there

2:25:11

I finally said it right, Shrewook,

2:25:14

the language of the Wookiees.

2:25:17

Most Padawans of the Jedi Order

2:25:19

want to learn how

2:25:21

to speak the Wookiee language. I

2:25:24

thought that was a very interesting thing to hear. And

2:25:27

immediately made me think back to

2:25:29

the Cantina scene from

2:25:32

A New Hope when Obi-Wan meets

2:25:34

Chewie in the Cantina.

2:25:37

And it's brief, but you

2:25:40

clearly can tell he's holding

2:25:42

a conversation with Chewbacca. And

2:25:45

I thought, well, maybe Obi-Wan's one of those

2:25:47

Padawans who wanted to learn Shrewook

2:25:49

while he was in the Order,

2:25:52

like most Padawans. But

2:25:54

Yord is above all of that. He

2:25:57

learned the language of the Beavirah.

2:26:01

which makes him better, I guess.

2:26:04

I don't know, but I just thought that would. Yeah,

2:26:06

I know, right, me too, me too, in

2:26:09

high school and college. A

2:26:13

couple other little things, just as

2:26:16

far as special effects goes, when the

2:26:18

Jedi ship was landing on Kofar, it

2:26:20

gave me serious vibes of the old

2:26:22

Flash Gordon series. It

2:26:24

makes me think, wow, I think they might

2:26:27

have used practical models for

2:26:29

that shot, as opposed to

2:26:31

your typical CGI stuff. I

2:26:34

thought that was pretty cool, just because it

2:26:36

really had that old school vibe about it.

2:26:39

I didn't feel like I was watching some

2:26:41

computer-generated imagery. I felt like I was watching

2:26:45

an actual physical thing land on the planets.

2:26:47

It made me think, well, it must be

2:26:49

a model. Maybe I'm right, maybe I'm wrong,

2:26:51

I don't know. Puff a pig, not in

2:26:53

this episode. All

2:26:57

right, that'll do it for us this

2:26:59

week. At least

2:27:01

for the Acolyte after show, don't forget there

2:27:03

will be a new episode of the Rebel Force

2:27:05

Radio Weekly podcast. It'll drop this weekend, so

2:27:08

make sure that you listen to

2:27:10

that. If you haven't listened to last week's show,

2:27:12

it's a great one. We've got FJ to Santo

2:27:14

for like an hour. It's just,

2:27:16

it's awesome. And we're breaking down what

2:27:19

he thinks of the Acolyte, but also

2:27:22

some of the background industry chatter. So

2:27:27

it's a great perspective and it's a great

2:27:29

listen, so check that out. We'll

2:27:31

of course be back with more Acolyte

2:27:34

after show next week

2:27:37

as we talk about

2:27:39

episode five, which some people in the

2:27:41

chat are saying it is

2:27:43

called Night. So this week,

2:27:45

the episode is day. Next

2:27:48

week is night. Well, you

2:27:50

all have a great night from

2:27:52
