For the first episode of Recovery Stories Have Power, we're setting the table for the series and getting to know our co-hosts, Krissi Jacob and Phil Rutherford. Hear them discuss how they each came to work in the field, what's going well in the recovery world right now & what could be better, and how they'd sum up where they are at in their recovery journey today.
Krissi Jacob is the Technical Assistance Manager for the National Recovery Institute Training Team for Faces & Voices of Recovery. As a person in long-term recovery, advocating for peers and allies within the addiction recovery movement has been a passion since the beginning of her personal transformation in late 2014.
Philip Rutherford is the Chief Operating Officer at Faces & Voices of Recovery. He is a recovery coach, a passionate member of the Recovery Community and possesses a self-described Doctorate from the school of Hard Knocks. As COO, he is responsible for multiple lines of business within the Faces & Voices ecosystem. Phil is credited with a significant role in conception, design, launch and facilitation of the Recovery Data Platform (RDP). This cloud-based platform is the first of its kind and has quickly become a valuable asset in longitudinal data collection for Peer-Based Services.
