How much should that matter to art, though? Like, it's still the exact same painting that it was when it was the source of your pride a few years ago, right?In the end, if you paid tens of thousands of dollars for a painting that you loved, and now you hate it because it turns out a different person painted it, I don't know what to tell you. Maybe buy art because you like the art, not because you think it will be worth double in ten years? I dunno, I don't have Rich People problems.That being said, if this were an episode of "Swindled", I would have probably loved it. The perpetrators here were interesting! The victims are...still very much just fine.
