Natalie Brown Devlin researches crisiscommunication and digital media in the context of sport. Her work examines howsocial media empowers organizational stakeholders during sports-related crises.She previously worked in digital advertising as a senior analyst of strategicaccount analytics, where she provided custom analyses and consumer insights toclient marketing executives. This fall, Devlin teaches a course on digitalmetrics in the Texas Media Program.This is such a fun conversationwith Dr. Devlin because we get to hear not only about her time as a Ph.D.student in C&IS at the University of Alabama but also how the stars alignedin a chance meeting with Dr. Jennings Bryant and how that meeting led her tohave the family she has now. Dr. Devlin is a prolific scholarin sports communication, and for someone who has only been doing it a fewyears, she's making quite a mark! More importantly. Dr. Devlin is sodown-to-earth and fun and just truly likeable.
