This week on the podcast we got to chat with John Sievers. John is a father, husband, and trombonist who has a passion for making living music. He is best known for his work with the D’Sievers, a small jazz group in which he plays the trombone. John also wears many other hats, including freelance writing and working as an English college professor. We have a wonderful podcast to share with you today talking more about the D’Sievers, how he started gigging in the community, what keeps bringing him back to this work, and what he thinks it takes to be a successful musician in this community.
