Dr Ashley Spindler is a queer trans woman, working between Astronomy and Space Engineering. She did her undergraduate in physics and MSc in space technology at the University of Surrey, and recently completed her PhD in Astronomy at The Open University. Her research interests lie in the realms of galaxy evolution, and the forces that dominate galaxies in dense environments. She is an avid science communicator, social media nerd, and also streams on twitch and does podcasts.
