Hey everyone, it's Pacific, and

0:03

welcome to SCP Archives!

0:06

This week we present the first

0:08

episode of our Alphabet Anthology series.

0:11

This is SCP-7027. A

0:14

is for Annihilation. This

0:16

series has been a ton of fun to work on, and

0:19

I'm super excited to dive into it with you guys. But

0:22

first I just wanted to highlight a couple of changes

0:24

behind the scenes. First, last

0:27

year we welcomed on our script editor, Kevin

0:29

Whitlock. He is incredible and

0:31

amazing, and he has prepared all of these

0:34

scripts for the audio presentation of our show.

0:37

Also joining our crew is Dakota Miller, our

0:39

video editor. If you don't

0:41

follow us on YouTube, you can at

0:43

SCP Archives. If you search that

0:45

up, you should see our channel. We

0:48

have a lot of cool new video versions of

0:50

our new episodes launching

0:52

soon. The first episode will

0:54

launch a week after this episode, so on

0:56

April 4th. And

0:59

of course, you might have also noticed a

1:01

really cool, incredible art. I'm

1:03

very excited to say we've brought on Valdivia's

1:06

art, or Eduardo Valdez-Hebia

1:09

as our artist. He

1:11

is phenomenal and incredible. You can find his

1:13

links in our show notes below. But he's

1:16

great, and he makes really beautiful art, and

1:18

I love it a lot, and it's super

1:20

cool. Our team

1:22

is always constantly growing, and

1:24

we couldn't do that without you. So

1:27

thank you for listening, thank you for

1:29

supporting the show, and a quick

1:32

message from our sponsors, and then this

1:34

week's episode. Looks

1:39

like you need a vacation. Enter the five

1:41

hour energy, where will the tide take you

1:44

sweepstakes? You could win a $10,000 Dream Beach

1:46

vacation. Imagine

1:48

jet setting off to a tropical

1:50

paradise, having fun

1:52

in the sun, or diving at a gorgeous

1:55

reef. It's up to you.

3:47

Sep Seven, Zero, Two Seven as

3:49

an anomalous phenomenon which primarily manifests

3:51

as a process of physical transfiguration

3:54

and psychological augmentation by members of

3:56

a monastic order Located in the

3:58

Cure A Quorum. range. Individuals

4:02

affected by SCP-7027 are classified as

4:04

SCP-7027-1. The first stage of

4:09

the anomaly's expression is a black circular dot with

4:11

a diameter of 15-25 mm, which appears in

4:15

the center of an individual's forehead. This

4:19

mark superficially resembles a decorative bindi,

4:22

but is irremovable unless surgically exercised shortly

4:24

after it is detected. As SCP-7027

4:28

progresses, it consumes the face of its

4:31

host, causing the front of the

4:33

skull to sink inward. Eventually,

4:35

the skull collapses into a void of

4:37

indeterminate depth before slowly spreading to the

4:39

rest of the body. Flesh

4:41

blackened by SCP-7027 does not reflect light

4:45

and will, over a period of time, develop

4:47

holes and fissures that further disfigure the

4:50

affected individual. Like the aperture

4:52

that consumes much of the host's head, the

4:54

holes display anomalous interior dimensions. Objects

4:58

introduced into these voids are ultimately

5:00

unrecoverable. Cavities

5:02

created by SCP-7027 produce a

5:05

continuous discharge. The

5:07

emanations behave in a manner consistent with a

5:09

hot gas or plasma, but appear

5:11

almost completely opaque. The

5:14

edges of these emanations are semi-translucent and

5:16

blur or distort the surrounding space. All

5:19

efforts to collect a sample have

5:21

failed, leaving its chemical composition, if

5:23

any, unknown. Despite

5:26

this resistance to analysis, it has

5:28

been discovered that the temperature around

5:30

the fissures steadily decreases, approaching

5:32

absolute zero as the SCP-7027-1 instance enters the

5:36

final stage of infection, at which

5:39

point disintegration occurs. Testing

5:41

in sealed and sterilized vacuum containment units

5:43

has determined that no detectable trace of

5:46

SCP-7027-1 remains after

5:48

this final event. The

5:51

progression of SCP-7027 violates the law

5:53

of conservation of mass, with

5:56

the subatomic particles composing SCP-7027-1

5:58

undergoing annihilation

6:01

without the apparent introduction of their

6:03

respective antiparticles. The

6:05

transformation occurs over decades and inevitably

6:07

results in the destruction of vylorgons,

6:11

including the brain and heart. By

6:14

this stage, SCP-7027-1 are

6:16

clinically deceased, requiring

6:18

either sleep nor sustenance. Subjects

6:22

remain ambulatory and continue to wander

6:24

the monastery when not seated in meditation. The

6:28

Foundation has yet to uncover the source or

6:30

cause of SCP-7027, but physical symptoms of

6:33

infection follow only after the monks have confined

6:36

themselves within their cells in the monastery for

6:38

some time. Cell

6:40

interiors are just large enough to allow for

6:42

meditation and function as a form of sensory

6:44

deprivation. The monks believe

6:46

that, by immersing themselves in darkness, they

6:49

allow their bodies to become a toast. Multiple

6:52

reports from personnel at Site

6:54

95 describe unconfirmed paranormal encounters,

6:57

but the ephemeral nature of these incidents

6:59

render them unconducive to repeat experimentation

7:01

and classification. The

7:03

following is a list of common, unconfirmed

7:05

reports by Site 95 personnel. Sightings

7:08

of mobile humanoid shadows without apparent source.

7:12

High frequency of night terrors and sleep

7:14

paralysis. Sudden transitory

7:16

cold spots within insulated and heated sections

7:18

of Site 95. Intermittent

7:21

radio interference in and around the monastery. The

7:25

appearance and rapid disappearance of

7:27

black stains throughout the monastery,

7:29

though these may represent an unknown

7:31

species of slime mold. Long-term

7:34

personnel report a steady degradation in

7:37

feelings of self-worth during routine psychological

7:39

examinations, though this is

7:41

possibly a mundane reaction to observing

7:43

the practices and traditions of GOI-0184.

7:46

Discovery. Discovery.

7:51

The Foundation became aware of SCP-7027 in 1956, following

7:53

reports of unusual disfigurements occurring

7:58

among members of an isolated Buddhist sect

8:00

in Tibet. Due to

8:02

the singular nature of their philosophy, the

8:04

sect and monastery had no formal name

8:07

but the residents of neighboring villages commonly

8:09

refer to them as the MP1s. Classified

8:13

as GOI 0184, the Order practices

8:15

an extreme form of asceticism and

8:18

forbids the use of personal names, depictions

8:21

of the human form, or even

8:23

the preservation of its own history. It

8:25

is believed by members of GOI 0184

8:28

that enlightenment can only be achieved through

8:30

drastic humility. To do this,

8:33

they must purge of vanity and pride, with

8:36

corporeal existence regarded as the

8:38

final arrogance to be undone.

8:44

Through SCP-7027, the monks believe

8:46

they can permanently escape Samsara, the cycle

8:48

of life, death, and

8:50

rebirth. Despite

8:53

their surface resemblance other Buddhists' sex,

8:56

GOI 0184 bears many

8:58

significant deviations. For

9:00

example, the monks of GOI

9:02

0184 believe in Acriavada,

9:05

a heretical doctrine which claims immoral

9:07

acts have no consequences and therefore

9:09

no influence on rebirth. Unlike

9:12

most monastic traditions of the region, GOI

9:15

0184 includes both men and

9:17

women, many of which are initiated

9:19

as children. All are

9:21

expected to practice the same level of asceticism,

9:24

regardless of age, gender, or physical

9:26

health. This

9:28

life of austerity includes the renunciation

9:30

of material possessions, avoidance

9:32

of physical pleasures, and meager

9:35

diets that leave members in a state of

9:37

chronic starvation, though many of

9:39

the symptoms associated with severe ionization. Members

9:43

of GOI 0184 practice

9:45

ritual self-mortification believing

9:48

that pain, humiliation, self-denial, and

9:50

disfigurement aid in the destruction

9:52

of ego. Prior to

9:54

containment, methods of humiliation often involve

9:56

visiting neighboring villages where the monks have

9:58

removed their clothes. smear themselves

10:01

in dirt and ash, and non-verbally

10:03

bag their insight to locals and to

10:05

physically assaulting them. Despite

10:08

frequent injuries and infection, this behavior has

10:10

never been observed to result in fatalities,

10:12

and the villagers regard their actions as

10:14

part of a tradition beneficial to the

10:16

monks, as opposed to violence

10:18

committed out of sincere ire. G.O.I.

10:22

0184 does not actively recruit, and

10:24

instead receives initiates by anomalous means.

10:27

Unsurrived members have refused to communicate,

10:30

suggesting a priori knowledge of at least some of

10:32

the Order's tenants, as they are

10:34

unwilling to divulge information. The reasons

10:36

for joining are unknown. It

10:39

is presently hypothesized that SCP-7027's influence

10:41

extends beyond the monastery, and is

10:43

capable of compelling certain individuals to

10:46

join through anomalous suggestion or possibly

10:48

even direct control. The

10:51

Foundation allows these supplicants with Insight 95

10:53

as they provide a steady flow of

10:56

SCP-7027-1 specimens for research, who

10:59

willingly accept their permanent containment, and

11:02

do not interfere with the work of personnel. Due

11:05

to the region's extreme terrain, it is

11:08

possible that some of those called to the monastery do

11:10

not survive the journey, as

11:12

all members appear to be of the Benton

11:14

or Nepalese descent. It is

11:16

likely that SCP-7027's reach is limited

11:18

to the region or determined

11:20

by a genetic component, but it

11:23

is also possible that these common elements are

11:25

purely coincidental. The single exception

11:27

to this pattern is instance number 251. See

11:31

Incident Log dated September 12, 1997 for more information.

11:36

The monks of GOI-0184 maintain a vow

11:38

of silence, leaving only a

11:40

single person to represent and speak for the sick. Rendered

11:44

the de facto leader of GOI-0184,

11:46

this individual classified as Person of

11:49

Interest, P.O.I. 539, first himself as

11:51

Barasatba, whose position requires that he

11:53

refrain from certain aspects of the

11:55

faith in order to facilitate the

11:57

path to Nirvana for other monks.

12:00

a practice not unheard of and which can

12:02

be found in the Mahayana tradition of Buddhism.

12:05

As a result, P.O.Y.539 is

12:07

avoided infection by

12:10

SCP-7027, though he intends to

12:12

seek a successor in order to begin the process.

12:17

Addendum 7027-A, Interview with P.O.Y.539 The

12:23

following log is a transcript of an interview

12:25

with P.O.Y.539 conducted by Dr. Jonathan Isaac on

12:27

June 22, 1956. P.O.Y.539 is a Tibetan man

12:29

estimated between the age of 50 and 60.

12:37

Like other members of G.O.Y.0184,

12:40

all efforts to find further identification have

12:42

failed. As he otherwise

12:44

lives by the tenets of the order, his

12:46

body is malnourished and covered with self-inflicted

12:48

wounds. Interview conducted

12:50

and translated from Lhasa to Benton.

12:54

Log begins. The

12:58

following log is a transcript of an interview with P.O.Y.539.

13:04

Am I to understand that you have no name?

13:07

You must have had a life before coming here.

13:11

We are a slate white queen. Pastas

13:14

have raised along with the name. There

13:18

is only the way. If

13:21

this one must be labeled, Barazatva

13:25

will suffice for it is

13:27

this one's purpose. No,

13:30

that won't be necessary.

13:32

P.O.Y.539. Simply a matter

13:34

of record, though not required. Please,

13:38

tell me about what you mean by the way.

13:43

We follow the way of the Black Buddha

13:45

to exist, to impose

13:48

yourself on reality. If

13:50

the foundational conceit upon which all

13:52

suffering is derived, it

13:55

is not a path to walk, not

13:58

a goal to be sought. It

14:01

is simply surrender. And

14:05

what do you become? Becoming

14:08

implies creation. We

14:10

do not become anything. We

14:13

are unmade. Void

14:15

embraces us. It

14:18

is the truth without color or

14:20

shape. It permeates,

14:23

festers, soaks us

14:26

in darkness. This

14:29

would struggle, would cling to

14:31

the illusion of life. But

14:34

why this process? There

14:36

are swifter methods to end your life. You

14:40

still fail to understand. Death

14:42

is meaningless. The

14:44

flesh has returned to the earth. The

14:47

soul has returned to sub-sora. The

14:51

cycle continues. Sacrifice

14:54

yourself in vain. There

14:58

is no mercy, no

15:00

enlightenment, in

15:02

the turning of the wheel. Is

15:05

existence really so awful? It

15:08

seems that much of your pain is

15:11

self-inflicted. Life

15:13

is suffering, but

15:15

it is not without a certain insidious

15:18

beauty. It

15:21

fascinates. It enthralls and

15:23

it binds us to this realm. Fragile

15:26

and fleeting forms. The

15:29

illusion is dispelled the moment you recognize it

15:31

for the full set that it is. There

15:35

can be no return to ignorance, no

15:38

matter how comforting the line may be.

15:43

We seek to escape before

15:46

the truth is lost to death and

15:48

rebirth. To the ceaseless

15:50

turning of that hated wheel. I

15:53

believe I understand you now. But

15:56

tell me, why this

15:58

void? Why do you sniff

16:00

it? How does it work? There

16:05

are three great illusions. Three

16:08

shackles which bind us. Life,

16:12

the world, and the self. We

16:17

must surrender to the obliteration of the

16:19

self if we are ever

16:21

to transcend. One

16:25

cannot fight the self, for

16:27

it feeds unstruggled. This

16:30

tether cannot be broken, but

16:33

there is a way to slip free. One

16:37

must sink so low to the

16:40

darkest, most wretched depths. When

16:43

we achieve void, that

16:46

which we manifest is consumed, and

16:49

a shackle cannot bind

16:51

what no longer exists. It

16:54

slips away like rain from our hands,

16:57

like dust upon a wind. This

17:02

is the obliteration of the self.

17:06

I see. That will be all.

to this week's episode. Item

18:28

7027-B, history of GOI 0184. The

18:34

following document contains information pertaining to the

18:36

history of GOI 0184. Since

18:40

GOI 0184's extremist staticism precludes the

18:42

creation of physical or oral records

18:44

of the Order's history, the

18:46

information herein was gleaned entirely from research

18:49

performed by the Foundation. Creation

18:52

of the site with ground-penetrating radar detected

18:54

the presence of man-made objects beneath the

18:56

monastery and its surrounding land. Initial

18:59

discoveries include a number of large ash

19:01

deposits containing traces of paper, birch bark,

19:04

and silk, most

19:06

likely immolated transcripts, and

19:08

heavily damaged Buddhist statues and murals which have

19:10

been carbon dated to the 14th century CE.

19:14

Destroyed statues were found to resemble the

19:16

Buddha when reconstructed. The

19:18

figure was seated in a lotus position, but

19:21

as no fragments of the face were discovered, it

19:23

is hypothesized that the statues were

19:26

procured intact, ritually defaced to resemble

19:28

SCP-7027-1, only

19:31

to be shattered and buried sometime later. Careful

19:34

restoration of the murals revealed depictions of rogue

19:36

monks reaved by an aura of black flame,

19:38

which are believed to represent SCP-7027. Based

19:42

on this evidence, it can be

19:44

surmised that GOI 0184 permitted artistic

19:46

representations in the past, but

19:49

adopted an Icoism, resulting in or

19:51

preceding an iconoclastic episode between the

19:53

14th and 15th century CE. On

19:57

April 17, 1987, the monastery was built in the city of Icoism. was

20:00

damaged by a natural landslide. As

20:02

the section was rarely used, there

20:04

were fortunately no fatalities. The

20:07

disaster revealed the presence of man-made structures

20:09

beneath the monastery. Following an

20:11

archeological survey of the site, it

20:14

is determined that the ruins were epipelolithic

20:17

and built not long after the arrival

20:19

of modern humans of the region. Building

20:21

material consists of stone, bone, and clay,

20:24

though the architecture itself displays a

20:26

level of ingenuity uncommon among contemporaneous

20:28

cultures. The structure was

20:30

built at the mouth of a natural mountain cavern,

20:33

which contained a gallery of well-preserved, fragile

20:35

art, including a pair of murals.

20:38

The first depicts a tall, glowing humanoid with their

20:41

left hand over their heart, where

20:43

splashes of red pigment suggest injury, and

20:46

a right hand extended with a palm facing up. Six

20:50

smaller humanoids prostrate themselves before the

20:52

larger figure. Despite

20:54

its greater size, delhumanoid is

20:56

not depicted as domineering, more

20:59

likely a teacher or spiritual leader than a

21:01

king or conqueror. A black

21:03

form of substance rises from the ground and enters

21:05

the open mouths of the smaller figures. What

21:07

at first was mistaken for a tale turned out to be

21:10

a crack in the wall. Its

21:12

appearance, along with the figures enlightened

21:14

countenance and pose, has led

21:16

one Tibetan specialist to make a comparison

21:18

to a mythical monkey ancestor of the

21:20

Tibetan people. The

21:22

second mural displays a complex three-level scenario centered

21:24

around a tree with deep root. Viewed

21:28

from the bottom up, it depicts black

21:30

serpents gnawing at the roots which are black

21:32

veins, perhaps to represent poisoning,

21:34

infection, or the spread of a

21:36

curse. The paint rises through

21:38

the roots, into the second level

21:40

where the humanoids bite into the roots, removing

21:43

the paint as someone would suck out venom. The

21:46

humanoids are missing limbs, and

21:49

bear numerous black spots. The

21:51

practice of purifying your roots shows to not be without

21:53

a cost. At the highest

21:55

level, the tree is healthy and full of leaves,

21:58

surviving things through the sacrifice of the human. of those

22:00

below. If the

22:02

radiocarbon dating of this site is accurate, it

22:04

is possible that individuals have been working to

22:07

contain SCP-7027 for 20,000 years. On

22:14

September 12, 1997, Security

22:17

Officer Wuchasz Maciecki entered

22:19

the Site 95 infirmary at 0600

22:22

hours to request medication for what he believed at

22:24

the time to be a sinus headache. Other

22:29

personnel immediately noticed a black spot on

22:31

Maciecki's forehead, and after a thorough physical

22:33

examination, determined that the subject was

22:35

infected by SCP-7027 and

22:38

exhibiting the first visible symptom of transformation in

22:40

SCP-7027-1. Maciecki was classified

22:45

as anomalous and received the designation SCP-7027-1,

22:47

parenthesis 251. Becoming the first

22:53

and at present, only recorded

22:56

case of SCP-7027 infecting someone

22:58

outside of GOI-0184. SCP-7027-1, parenthesis

23:01

251, cooperated with containment and

23:03

observation, and became a

23:09

critical source of information due to being free

23:11

of GOI-0184's valve silence. The

23:14

following log is a transcript of an

23:16

interview with SCP-7027-1, parenthesis 251, conducted by

23:18

Dr. Sua-Mai Zhao

23:23

on September 13, 1997. Log begins. You

23:33

may be regarded as unprofessional, but

23:35

I wish to offer much more serious

23:39

apology. Had we

23:41

known the anomaly could

23:43

affect individuals outside GOI-0184,

23:46

we would have certainly taken stronger

23:48

safety precautions. You

23:51

couldn't have known. Well,

23:53

we will do everything we can to

23:55

undo your predicament and hopefully prevent this

23:58

from happening in the future. Okay,

24:01

with that said, I wish to ask

24:03

you a few questions about the days

24:05

preceding your diagnosis. Did

24:08

you by any chance directly interact with

24:10

any instance of SCP-70271? Any physical contact?

24:16

No. Okay, and

24:19

what of the monastery itself? Did

24:21

you ever access the inner walls? Just

24:24

routine patrols. Never

24:27

lingered long. Well,

24:29

how do you feel? You

24:31

seem rather calm considering the gravity

24:33

of the situation. I

24:36

don't feel anything, but

24:38

I know I should. I

24:41

should feel horror, but

24:43

instead, I feel nothing

24:46

at all. Do

24:48

you have a history of depression?

24:51

No. This

24:53

isn't a familiar experience. So

24:55

we can probably assume that

24:58

this is a symptom. And

25:01

I should feel angry. Angry

25:03

that I can't feel right. I

25:07

know what my brain wants.

25:09

It wants to scream. It

25:12

wants to rage. But

25:15

it's dead. Nothing. Just

25:20

emptiness. It's

25:23

like trying to locate a word in a

25:25

dictionary. Only to find

25:27

that it's been cut out. No,

25:31

it's just a hole. He

25:53

occasionally reports head pain before expelling dark

25:55

smoke and sludge from his mouth with

25:58

both substances forming. forms

26:00

evaporating too rapidly to allow analysis.

26:03

Subject suffers frequent and violent tremors, causing

26:06

the body to contort unnaturally and

26:08

for the subject to walk with a stiff, shambling gait.

26:12

Since SCP-7027-1 belonging to GOI-0184

26:14

do not display similar reactions,

26:18

it is possible that their teachings and

26:20

practices, such as meditation, ultimately allows

26:22

them to better tolerate the effects of SCP-7027. The

26:26

following log is a transcript of an interview with

26:29

SCP-7027-1, parentheses 251, conducted by

26:33

Dr. Sue Miyazawa on February 5, 1998. Log

26:37

begins. Hello,

26:44

SCP-7027-1, 251. I

26:48

would like to ask you a few questions. The

26:52

subject is curled on the floor, staring at the

26:54

ceiling with their remaining eye. You're

26:57

clearly in a state of acute distress. I've

27:00

been told you received morphine this morning. Has

27:02

it helped? No. Okay.

27:06

On a scale from 1 to 10, how would

27:08

you describe your pain? One

27:10

being the lowest level of discomfort and 10 being- There

27:13

is no scale that could possibly capture the

27:15

pain I feel at this moment. I'll

27:20

just write you down to the text. Do

27:22

you again display unusual calm

27:25

and clarity despite your

27:27

ongoing predicament? There

27:29

is a separation. Adore.

27:33

And now, the world

27:35

has to go. The

27:37

pain is visceral. Not hitting. I'm

27:40

in unending agony. But also, who are you? I'm funny, could be

27:42

rich. causing

28:00

black smoke to emanate from both natural

28:02

and SCP-7027 created orifices. We

28:06

can end the interview early if you need rest.

28:09

He wipes a black smear from his mouth and chin

28:11

and shakes his head. No.

28:15

What little do I say? My

28:18

mom's. We've been

28:20

thinking of a change. It's

28:23

been one only year.

28:27

Actually, you've been in containment for

28:29

about five months. If

28:35

Illinois did be, can you

28:37

ask him to put a positive eye on

28:39

it? No, I'm guessing

28:41

it would be just a little precondition.

28:45

Right? We

28:47

believe that to be the case. Yes. I

28:50

will bring up your request for merciful termination

28:52

to the director, but I can't make any

28:54

promises. Log ends. Researchers

29:03

observing SCP-7027-1.2.5.1's

29:06

progress noted that its body

29:08

warped in conjunction with each

29:10

new hole. Each

29:13

grew in circumference at a rate of

29:15

approximately 1.3 centimeters a year infuse

29:17

the subject of the containment room floor. The

29:21

subject's significant deviation from

29:23

other instances of SCP-7027-1

29:26

presented an opportunity for further research

29:28

into the nature of the anomaly.

29:30

Officer Wolkash-Mechevsky's request for assisted suicide

29:32

was never presented to the director

29:34

of the site or the O5

29:36

Council. Prior to the cessation

29:38

of brain activity, the subject developed

29:41

symptoms of dementia and acute memory loss. Though

29:44

it is unknown if these were caused directly by SCP-7027

29:47

over a natural response, SCP-7027

29:49

induced trauma. By

29:53

the year 2000, SCP-7027-1.2.5.1 lost the ability to see,

29:55

but retained. in

30:00

its mouth and right here. The

30:02

following log is a transcript of the interview with

30:04

SCP-7027-1, Parenzio

30:07

251, conducted by Dr. Su Maizou

30:09

on December 23rd, 2000. Log

30:14

begins. Hello,

30:22

SCP-7027-1, 251. It's

30:26

that time again. How do you

30:28

feel? Which would kindly

30:31

describe your recent experiences? And

30:54

the pain? No need

30:56

for a scale. Just describe it as best

30:59

you can. Jesus

31:26

Christ! What the hell? The

31:41

subject bomb its black slime reminiscent of

31:43

unrefined crude oil into its cupped hands.

31:47

What could you say of hate? Cool

31:51

slash bloods be my skin. As

31:55

long as I remember. It

31:57

was always here. The subject smears a...

32:00

substance across the floor where it

32:02

rapidly evaporates. You

32:06

mentioned shadows a moment

32:08

ago. Do you

32:11

see something? Do

32:24

you see something? The

32:26

irregular holes in the subject's head move slightly

32:28

from side to side as it flexes what

32:30

remains of its face. Yeah,

32:35

it is facing us.

32:38

We are all part of us. You

32:41

are all. How

32:43

do you find it? You

32:45

don't know what it is. You

32:48

see what it was. I

32:51

don't understand. I

32:53

mean, we are at least one last electric tree.

33:13

Genevieve? And who

33:15

were they sacred to? It is

33:17

not what it is. It

33:21

is not what you

33:23

are. You are.

33:27

These books, the

33:29

windows on my tongue, these forgotten

33:32

trees. It

33:34

is not my memory. Something

33:37

has to be done. Something

33:40

done. Deep

33:43

alive. Who remembers?

33:46

All I believe is that

33:49

your eyes and your skin are purple.

33:52

Your eyes are gone. My

33:55

home is changed. Whatever

33:58

they are, just... The

34:12

subject slumps against its own twisted

34:15

mass, losing consciousness. Log

34:19

ends. SCP-7027-1,

34:21

Parenzese 251, did not regain consciousness for 14 days and was unaware

34:28

of its last conversation. It's

34:30

playing increased memory loss and confusion. By

34:33

late 2001, the subject's lower body

34:35

and left arm coalesced into a

34:37

shapeless hardened mound. Its remaining

34:40

epidermis turned gray and began to crack. The

34:43

following log is a transcript of the final

34:45

interview with SCP-7027-1, Parenzese 251, conducted

34:49

by Dr. Sue Miyazawa on October 23, 2001.

34:55

Log begins. Hello,

34:59

SCP-7027-1-2-5-1. Are

35:03

you able to communicate today? Yes,

35:15

do you remember my voice? Do

35:18

you know who this is? Mmm.

35:22

Mmm. Mmm.

35:26

Mmm. Mmm.

35:30

Mmm. Mmm. No,

35:34

no, I'm sorry. It's...

35:37

Suey. Do you remember

35:39

your name? Mmm.

35:42

Mmm. Mmm.

35:47

The anomalous orifice is strained and expanded,

35:49

sending additional cracks through its desiccated

35:51

flesh. I

36:02

like what you feel. Are

36:27

you there, Majjjki? What

36:32

do you mean? Do

36:36

you need a month word?

36:41

When will be made like the Day Doc? When

36:45

will the WANTY to project and do things

36:49

36:53

will not believe in Him. Bhagavat

36:56

Chaha! While

36:59

Lord He present us with

37:03

this... ...then

37:08

what is it? Achy...

37:38

southern Mohamed bro? Will

37:46

He be He is won a

37:49

city of nations, who delta,

37:51

he has reached. And

37:53

He has along.... yeats.....

38:01

I'm moving forward. I'm

38:04

going to get paid for my

38:06

car. I'm

38:08

going to get paid for my car. Hey!

38:25

security! Get me out of here and

38:27

secure the chamber! Log-ins.

38:39

SCP-7027-1, p.251's body collapsed, starting

38:44

with its head, and spread across the

38:46

containment chamber as its void apertures merged

38:48

to create a single portal now designated

38:51

SCP-7027-2. Unlike

38:54

other instances of SCP-7027-1, SCP-7027-1,

38:58

p.251 failed to fully annihilate, and

39:03

its remaining husk formed a perfect ring with a radius

39:06

of 3.2 meters. SCP-7027-2's

39:09

interior displays properties identical to smaller

39:12

SCP-7027 void apertures. Due

39:16

to SCP-7027-2's size and appearance

39:19

stability, unmanned exploration was

39:21

deemed feasible. SCP-7027-2's

39:24

interior environment is hazardous

39:26

to organic life, but

39:28

exhibits conditions similar to the vacuum of space,

39:31

the temperatures and vicinity of 1 Kelvin. Despite

39:35

these similarities, there's nothing else

39:37

to suggest that SCP-7027-2 connects to outer space. There's

39:41

no stars that have been observed from within. There

39:44

are no conclusive evidence that has been

39:46

discovered. The most likely hypothesis is that

39:48

SCP-7027-2 leads to a dimension outside our

39:51

own. There does exist

39:53

a downward gravitational pull, but its source is

39:55

yet to be discovered. Considering

39:57

these factors, it was determined that the best-

40:00

method to survey SCP-7027-2's

40:02

interior will be through

40:04

a remote probe designed for long-term space

40:06

exploration. On April 10, 2002 at

40:09

0900 hours, this probe was released

40:12

in SCP-7027-2. Site 95 did not receive any notable

40:17

transmissions from the probe until July 16, 2020, more

40:19

than 18 years after its deployment.

40:25

Collected data includes a number of images taken

40:27

over a 12-second period before all contact with

40:29

the probe was lost. Images

40:32

depicted a gold-colored artificial structure

40:34

forming a sprawling metropolis. These

40:37

images took approximately 46 hours to

40:39

reach 95. Presuming

40:41

no time dilation effects are present within

40:44

SCP-7027-2. This

40:47

indicates they were sent from approximately 332 astronomical units,

40:52

or 31 billion miles away. Further

40:55

research is pending. This

41:23

week's episode is possible thanks to our patrons.
