Overall it covers the key fundamental areas that should provide the future founda-tion of the Internet and Computing Industry including: encryption; authentication; integrity checking; intrusion detection systems (IDSs); secure protocols; infrastruc-ture security; and application security. Along with this, the module provides an introduction to forensic computing, which involves the use of digital data in evidence gathering.
