Our Creatures of the North. With no sea locked borders most of Northern Europe can be accessed by crossing from one Country to another without any problems, with the varied habitat, woodlands, Lakes, Rivers and Mountains it doesn't take to much of a push to think maybe the Creatures reported as Almas in Russia could also venture much further afield, and from the reports coming in that does seem to be the case. Over the months I will be bringing you reports from witnesses all over the globe, tonight we go off to the frozen north, the home of the Northern Lights and the Midnight sun.

‘Neanderthal’ Sighting in Finland and Strange Swedish Ape Men, The Upsala Creature and just a few of the Nordic Creature Accounts

Mrs. Gustavsson and her husband not only saw the Swedish Bigfoot but also heard it several times and even claim they found its droppings. She claims it had a whistling sound and at times they would hear what was either an echo or another bigfoot, answering the call. When Mr. Gustavsson investigated the area in daylight he found the new classical, large footprints and also fresh droppings.
"Its droppings reminded me of human excrement and first I thought that it was but they were left in such places a human never would go and I always found it in the area where we had seen this creature", said Mr. Gustavsson.

The Swedish Bigfoot seems to have stayed in the area for about five years.

A man in eastern Finland says he saw two hairy Neanderthal-looking humanoids. The Rautavaara resident told Cryptozoology News he was chopping firewood next to his house when he came upon the two 'Beings' on Dec. 21, 2017. He went on to describe both beings as 'Neanderthal or Caveman like' in their appearance “I live in a relatively secluded area of Finland, its very remote and I don't get many visitors, you can go weeks on end without seeing anyone, it's a very empty area with the nearest neighbour living a number of kilometres away,”

The 48-year-old resident who has a PhD in Aerosol Physics obtained at the University of Eastern Finland, said about the encounter. “The weather was dry and cold, it was well below freezing temperatures, and there was already a layer of snow on the ground.” After firing up the stove in his sauna, says Mieto, he went back inside the house to “have a snack while the sauna warmed up”. “I checked through the window to see if smoke was still coming from the sauna chimney and as I was looking out I noticed two vaguely 'humanoid figures' exiting my sauna, they had clearly been inside and were now leaving and they left the door ajar behind them as they walked off into the woods.”

The two 'creatures' he added, were 'big humanoids' “they were walking in a hunched manner and were leaning forward in a strange posture”.“After that I lost sight of the 'figures' in the woods, I checked the sauna and it had warmed already pretty well, only now the door was left open leaking the warmth out. I produced an electric torch from the anteroom of the sauna and with its light I saw that the unexpected visitors had left brownish coarse hair around inside.” Mieto also added that he was able to observe a few footprints but that the alleged creatures were barefoot. “It was hard to examine the footprints on snow in the incoming dark, but they were human like, only larger.”

A report made to the local police in Hudiksvall by two teenage girls who were out skinny-dipping in a nearby pond when they suddenly heard 'someone' or 'something' moving about in the thick undergrowth on the shore. Teasing and calling the intruder a pervert, which they presumed they had caught as he spied on nude girls bathing. Being in a pair and not scared of the 'pervert' the two girls moved closer and closer towards the shore, planning to surprise or even catch the culprit red handed. Instead something right out of a nightmare suddenly rose up in front of them. Tina, 15, staed: "How can I describe this 'thing' well 'It' resembles an ape but 'It' was far more uglier and very very large". Her friend Petra, 16, agreed and say´s that at the same time "a terrible stench" came from the 'creature' which growled at them and began pounding 'Its' chest.

Tina and Petra an back into the water and swam ashore a bit further down, they then ran through the woods without their clothes and didn't stop until they were home, a couple of kilometers away. Petra´s Father didn´t believe their story but admitted that something had given the girl´s a pretty bad scare. "I thought it must have been a bear", he said. "There are bear in the area and if this one had a cub on the side it could've seen the girl´s as a potential threat".

The girls themselves, badly whipped by lashing branches, during their hysterical run through the woods, were adamant they did not see a bear but something far more frightening. "It was like a monster out of a movie and it walked upright on two legs", Tina said. "Even if 'It' was ugly 'It' more resembles a man than an animal".

The area where these possible Swedish bigfoots have been seen is extremely inaccessible, even dangerous except for the part where the cabins are located, with many small lakes and swamps. It's located just south of Bollnas and cutting right through it is famous Hälsingeleden (EK: the Helsinge trail), a walking path over both lower and higher ground, surrounded by low mountains.

The Upsala Ape Man

A man visiting relatives in the area reports a large hairy light coloured ape like creature crossing the road in front of his slowly moving car. The weather conditions were very bad and there was very little visibility due to the fog. The gentleman said "someone moving quickly across the road ran out in front of the car, they didn't run like a human but moved like an ape. Arms swinging and all one colour.

I recently came across the following account:

So about 2 years ago, I had an encounter with something I can't explain and the reason I'm writing this is because I saw some strange footprints yesterday where I encountered it 2 years ago. (I live in Finland, near the coast) Two years ago, I was out hunting and it was getting late and dark so I decided to head back home. I had about 2-3 km walk through the forest to get to my car. It had gotten pitch black outside at this point so I had an LED headlamp for light as I walked.

As I walked I kept hearing unusually loud sounds. I knew something big was moving. I was 100% sure it was a moose as I've encountered lots of them in the forest and they do make lots of noise/vibrations when they walk. I couldn't see anything though and it was getting closer to me. All of a sudden this super awful smell hits me, it smells like feces and something really rotten. My hair stands up and I raise my shotgun, as my whole body instinctively tells me to run.

I just stand still and listen. As the sounds get closer I see what looks like a humanoid figure standing on two feet, really tall, it had to be easily over 2 meters, but slender and muscular at the same time and kind of crouched down posture. It looked almost like a werewolf from movies, but at the same time not. It was quite far away, so my light barely went so far, but I could see it. Its eyes shined red from my LED headlamp as well.

It looked at me for about 3 seconds, made no sounds, it was breathing weirdly. (I think it could smell the two ducks I had in my backpack) It slowly walked away. I even filmed a bit as it started walking with my phone, but it's poor quality as my phone at the time was old (Samsung S2) and it was dark, so you can't really see it, just hear lots of noise.

Anyway, I told some friends and fellow hunters. A couple have heard or seen strange things as well, but nothing like this.
