God has so many promises in scripture to love, care, and provide for us. We have every reason to EXPECT Him to honor His word. However, God also gives us the wisdom to put buffers in the important areas of our lives so that when tough times hit, we have something extra in these areas to help us through. As with so much in our walk as Christ-followers, we need to balance preparing for the worst with expecting the best.
