I sometimes hear conventional church people say that consensus governance is impossible. I know by experience that it is not only possible, but wonderfully beneficial. Our house church makes decisions by consensus, and it has been a blessing
I went into starting a house church with a fantasy about what it should look like. Reality was a different story. Turns out the ideal is somewhere in between. Recognizing both fantasy and reality is helping me strive towards the ideal.
