As part of International Women's Week, Hannah chats with Anna Wanczyk, Graphic Designer and Co-organiser of Kerning the Gap, Yorkshire, about freelancing as a creative and the work-life balance.

The aim of the IWD 2023 #EmbraceEquity campaign theme is to get the world talking about Why equal opportunities aren't enough. People start from different places, so true inclusion and belonging require equitable action. Like Anna says - "People start from different places."
Anna Wanczyk is an Independent Graphic Designer, Co-organiser of Kerning the Gap, Yorkshire, working out of Duke Studios in Leeds. She works collectively with other freelancers on jobs that need more than just a graphic design solution.

In her 18 years as a designer, she has worked in-house, for agencies, at agencies (and was head of design at magpie before going solo) and as an independent.

She also co-runs the Yorkshire Chapter of Kerning the Gap.
