Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 80. South wind 7 to 17 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%. Next, Tonight, mostly clear, with a low around 62. West southwest wind 7 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Tuesday, sunny, with a high near 86. Southwest wind 6 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Next, Tuesday Night, partly cloudy, with a low around 67. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph. Hazardous Weather Outlook. This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Illinois and west central Illinois. Day one. Today and tonight. Scattered thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening. The overall threat of severe weather is low. Moderate flooding will continue along the Illinois River, and on the lower end of the La Moine River. Minor flooding will continue to develop on the west end of the Sangamon River. Days two through seven. Tuesday through sunday. There is another risk for strong to severe thunderstorms Tuesday evening. River levels on the Illinois River will rise again early this week, and locations near LaGrange Lock and Dam downstream will rise back to near major flood stage by mid week. Moderate flooding will continue along the La Moine River through late week, with minor flooding along the west end of the Sangamon River. Spotter information statement. Spotters activation is not anticipated today.
