In this episode of the Aging in America Podcast, Dennis Stack shares the one regret most people have after the passing of a loved one – the regret that they didn’t take more time to capture their stories and pass them on for future generations. Dennis is the co-founder and chairman of Legacy Stories, a company dedicated to providing a free living history library that provides life story learning, recording, archiving, and sharing to families professionals and groups.
Dennis is founder of Project StoryKeeper, a 501c3 non-profit, which created the Family StoryKeeper Course in 2003 and the basis of the Legacy Stories Pict-Oral Memories program. The course has been used in over 800 Hospices, Home Care, Assisted Living and Veterans centers. He trained more than 5,000 volunteers and students to perform the role of StoryKeepers in their respective communities.
