In this episode we talk about how it feels for men to lose their hair.
It's controversial, but it's often assumed men experiencing hair loss is OK but after fitting many bespoke hair systems on men over the years I have seen the other side.
Men experience many of the same types of Alopecia diagnosis as women not just male pattern.
It can affect their confidence and how they see themselves as well as how they think others perceive them.

It's a really important interview to share with guys that can feel, because of hair loss, self conscious or  maybe it's affecting their confidence every time they walk out the door.

Duncan is so honest and eloquent in this interview about his feelings, about his journey with hair loss in which he found and still finds traumatic.

I am so grateful for the courage I know it took to speak so openly about it with the purpose to help and support even just one other guy going through a similar hair loss experience.

So please share.  It might just be the start of a conversation that they really needed to have.

In this interview Katie and Duncan discuss topics such as:

Men's hair loss
Alopecia Areata
Men experiencing AA
AlopeciaUK Support Group
Trip to the GP
Diagnosis
Trichology Appointments - Eva Proudman
Nutrition
Family Support
Negative thinking v's positive thinking - mindset
Discussing Alopecia with friends, family and the work place
Hair loss and Social Stigmas about men and hair loss

And whether you are listening because you are experiencing the same or you are listening to create more of an understanding for yourself on this topic, you will at least learn of how mentally tough hair loss can be.

There is going to be something in this that resonates with anybody experiencing any aspect of hair loss, go grab a cup of tea and enjoy the show!

As always it’s a sensitive topic and by relating to some things mentioned could be upsetting.   So, please reach out for support if it does.
