Weekly Tao Talks from the Sanctuary of Tao given by Stuart Alve Olson, founder and head teacher of the Sanctuary of Tao (sanctuaryoftao.org). Stuart is an award-winning author and translator of over 30 books on the subjects of Taoism, Tai Chi, and Qigong. The Tao Talks will begin with a commentary on one chapter of the Tao De Jing each week. Lao Zi wrote the Tao De Jing 2500 years ago in China, advising people on how to live in harmony with nature and others. This simple book has culminated in what is now known as the philosophical tradition of Taoism. These commentaries are based on Stuart’s translation of the Chinese text, published along with a Spanish translation by Suzanne J. Nosko Verastegui, entitled “Scripture on Tao and Virtue (Tao De Jing): Escritura sobre Tao y Virtud.” After the Tao De Jing series is complete, The Tao Talks will delve into many aspects of Taoism, emphasizing how people can follow the ways of nature to improve their health, well-being, and life.
