Michael Calce also known as MafiaBoy got his first computer at six years old immediately becoming fixated on the technology and the aspect of control that came with it. During the 2000s at just 15 years old, he started a project he called Rivolta, meaning "rebellion" in Italian. At the time he targeted the top search engine, Yahoo!, trying to establish a place for himself and the cyber group he was involved with. He went on continuing his DDoS attacks infiltrating many other notable websites like eBay, CNN, Amazon, and Dell. Although these attacks were seemingly unimportant it brought attention to the nation's computer systems that were not being effectively secured. After all, the hacks were performed by a 15-year-old.
