1:55

fake Amish TikTokers, welcome to Spooky Gay Bullshit,

1:57

I'm Johnny and I'm Tyler. Hangout

2:00

where we get to go over all of the

2:02

spooky gay bullshit that we just didn't have time

2:04

to cover on the main show That's right. Cuz

2:06

it's Friday night. Our dolls have no faces and

2:09

that's where hook alliente. Yeah, but it's fine We'll

2:11

have time to build those faces because unfortunately because

2:13

I've been running this tik-tok account my community has

2:15

shunned me, right? Oh my god,

2:17

there's nothing that I love more than

2:20

the fake Amish tik-tok

2:22

drama Uh-huh. I I

2:25

barely understand it. It's yeah, it's a

2:27

whirlwind It goes deep

2:29

like you don't even understand. I don't even know

2:32

I don't know There's this

2:34

woman and she said that she was part

2:36

of one of these communities But then people

2:38

have been calling her out and they're like

2:40

you're not actually part of this community You're

2:42

just doing it for tik-tok clout and then

2:44

she's like no I am a part of

2:46

this community, but I've joined this community late

2:48

and now I'm secretly doing this tik-tok I

2:52

Count but now my Amish families found

2:54

out about this tik-tok account now. I must say goodbye But

2:58

also here's a video of me pretending to be a

3:00

giant giving a tiny person the blanket. Oh my god

3:04

Oh, the internet is so weird and I

3:06

love it. I love it.

3:09

Okay. Hi everyone I feel energized by the

3:11

freakiness of the internet. Uh-huh. I hope you're

3:13

all doing well and feeling equally as energized

3:15

Yeah, by turning on this tacky little show

3:17

I mean, that's kind of what this show

3:19

is really all about I mean like we're

3:21

here to let our hair down and talk

3:23

about the freaky shit that's happening and being

3:25

reported on the internet We talk about the

3:27

worst stuff. We talk about some of the

3:29

greatest stuff too. We talk about drag queens

3:31

We talk about cute animals, you know, like

3:33

we have fun over here. This is what

3:35

it's all about. You know me Yeah,

3:39

I'd love living laughing. You know how

3:41

to spell my middle name. Oh f-u-n

3:43

Oh my god That's

3:45

you know how you spell my

3:47

middle name. Hmm. G-O-O-D-T-I-M-E-S good times. Okay

3:52

And do you spell I don't spell I don't know

3:54

how to spell okay No, cuz I was gonna say

3:56

like if I was gonna name my child good times,

3:58

it would be G-O-O-D-E T Y M E S Oh,

4:04

I love that. You know, Brailling

4:07

Good Times. Yep, why

4:09

not? And I would paint

4:11

all of the rainbow toys beige because I would be a beige

4:13

mom. Oh, you would be? Oh,

4:16

I don't like that. Don't paint your

4:18

kids toys beige. Yeah, look

4:20

it up if you want to fall down

4:22

an internet rabbit hole. Look up beige moms.

4:24

Mmm, put down the paintbrush. Yeah. If

4:27

that's you, put down the brush. Anyway.

4:29

Anyway. I feel like we

4:32

wouldn't have beige moms listening. I feel like

4:34

we would have like grayscale moms listening. Sure.

4:37

I feel like we would have to be

4:39

like, now people when you have your child,

4:41

don't go and paint their nursery black. Yeah.

4:44

Don't go paint all of their toys different

4:46

shades of gray. Let the rainbow

4:48

ring toss be the rainbow ring toss. It's

4:50

okay. And you know the little baby from

4:52

Adam's Family Values that has the little Gomez

4:54

mustache? Oh yeah. The one

4:56

that Evan Peters looked like in American Horror Story

4:58

Hotel. Exactly. Yeah. Absolutely. Yeah. That's

5:01

our listenership. Mmm. Mmm-hmm.

5:04

I like that. Yeah, me too.

5:06

Okay. Well, hi, babies. Hi. Have

5:08

you been doing well? You know the deal. Speaking of

5:10

bullshit. All that kind of stuff. We've got to talk

5:12

about Drag Race for a few minutes to start things

5:14

off because that's what we do. It's

5:16

also the last episode of season

5:18

one of RuPaul's Drag Race Vegas

5:21

Live Review Untucked. Whatever.

5:24

All of those things. It really is all of those things. Every single one of

5:26

them in a blender. Yeah. So it will

5:28

be the last time for a while that you

5:30

will hear me mangling the name without any regard

5:33

for even looking it up. Mmm-hmm. And

5:35

yeah, I guess we can just get

5:37

into it because you know the deal. We're going to

5:39

chat about the high points, low points if there are

5:41

any. And if you don't want spoilers or if you

5:43

don't care, skip ahead a few minutes. Exactly. It won't

5:45

be that bad. But yeah, what do you think? I

5:47

love this episode. This is a great finale. I do

5:49

too. Mmm-hmm. I wrote a list

5:51

of my favorite moments. Oh man. Yeah,

5:54

because there are a lot of good moments. So let's

5:56

blow through this list that you have, Johnny, because

5:58

I'm sure I share a lot of the

6:00

same. sentiments. Okay, how about the

6:03

mother of the bride of Frankenstein? Oh

6:05

my god, okay, yeah. So here, let's

6:07

unpack this for a second. So, Latrice

6:09

Royale is finishing her time at Drag

6:11

Race Live as the host, and she's

6:14

going to be moving on to another

6:16

gig. So somebody on her very last

6:18

night wrote a message on her mirror

6:20

in lipstick that said, the bride of

6:22

Frankenstein won't be missed. And then Latrice

6:24

Royale's like, who wrote this? Of course.

6:27

And then of course, she eyes Derek

6:29

Berry and Coco Montrese because they are

6:31

the drama. Well, absolutely. And the thing

6:33

is, in terms of getting mirrors fucked with,

6:35

you know, Derek Berry might be out for

6:38

some retribution because if you remember back to

6:40

episode one, we never solved the mystery of

6:42

who put the buttered bread on Derek's knees.

6:45

True. Never solved. Hopefully we get that thread

6:47

picked up in season two. Yeah. But yeah,

6:49

so like we could understand who the suspects

6:51

were and why they were. Yeah.

6:55

But anyway, Derek Berry defended themselves

6:57

by saying, I couldn't have written

7:00

that message because if I wrote

7:02

the message, I would have written the

7:04

mother of the bride of Frankenstein will

7:06

not be missed. And that was her

7:08

only argument. The entire episode. She's like,

7:10

I kept bringing it up, bringing it

7:12

up. It wasn't me because I would

7:14

have written the mother of the bride

7:16

of Frankenstein. It was too good. Like

7:18

I like I need Derek Berry to

7:21

be my lawyer, basically. Yes. You know,

7:23

absolutely. Yes. He absolutely

7:25

could not have killed him, your honor. Yeah.

7:27

Because if he killed him, he would have

7:30

written in blood on the wall, the mother

7:32

of the bride of Frankenstein will not be

7:34

missed. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. Something to that effect.

7:36

So love that. Another Derek Berry moment that

7:38

I absolutely loved from this episode was when

7:41

they were trying to figure out who it

7:43

was and they ran out back. And

7:45

at one point he, he looks at Bosco and

7:47

says, bitch, I'm trying to help you fly, girl.

7:50

Oh, You mean, Panjina? Oh

7:52

Yeah. Because Derek was trying to be like,

7:54

Panjina doesn't even know who Frankenstein is, Latrice.

7:56

Yeah. And I was like, well, I know

7:58

Frankenstein. Yeah. Because. Kennedy were like

8:01

open giner wrote it because the

8:03

words were installed correctly and English has

8:05

been join a second language and

8:07

in their their she was let's you

8:09

wouldn't even know what Frankenstein is with

8:12

handwriting was like he he I

8:14

know Frankenstein Yes so normalize calling everyone

8:16

fly girls. Furthermore, I've The episode ended

8:18

with Woods Freeze having a reading

8:20

challenge among the Queen's as riot like

8:23

they do on a silver. The Libraries

8:25

open. I want to underline my

8:27

love for Boss goes line or that

8:29

Derek. Barry has sucked more young man

8:32

in the state of Nevada than Crystal,

8:34

Massachusetts. Spell.

8:36

Israeli far as amazing as I was.

8:39

Adored area that she was talking about.

8:41

so assistant guy oh you're right was

8:43

the stage manager and line for cameras

8:45

exactly who you help again at. Then

8:47

here's the gag. Okay and this is

8:50

how the episode and it isn't litter

8:52

Israel. Because. It was her

8:54

last night gave all of the girls.

8:56

guess Saturday's had this big person is

8:58

giving like gave Derek Bury a spoon

9:00

because they're very likes to stir the

9:02

pot. seen a pen, china a box

9:04

because it reminded her of her shape.

9:06

yeah and then hit the very i

9:08

say the summer camp out there he

9:10

says like I also got a gift

9:12

for myself because I just couldn't resist.

9:14

and then she pulls out from this

9:16

purse a red lipstick and starts applying

9:18

it. Basically she was than like I

9:20

wrote the Messianic as I wanted to

9:22

see Derek. In Cook Off by all

9:24

means I just standing around here while

9:26

the Truth silently applies this red lipstick

9:28

over an already stoned and painted Le

9:30

has it's true and they are just

9:33

all kind of gluing and like oh

9:35

she wrote, as sick as they Also

9:37

had a conversation about how nobody in

9:39

the cast wore red lipstick. know minutes

9:41

with would have had been somebody with

9:43

a red lipstick but nobody had red

9:45

lipstick. Yeah it was a soldier to

9:47

smell folks. We're not just sitting here

9:49

telling you beat for been what happened

9:51

this episode. There was so much more

9:53

but obviously. This. one had it

9:55

all this is a great episode see i thought it

9:57

went out with a bang yep and i'll be looking

9:59

for it to season two will we

10:01

review it probably not no but we will

10:04

enjoy it we will we definitely will and

10:06

i hope all of the same queens from

10:08

season one are back yes because it was

10:10

good oh also um coco did confirm that

10:13

she's not in a relationship with that dancer

10:15

but she does like lying to the girl

10:17

so you know what live your fantasy coco

10:19

put a filter on life won't

10:22

ya all right well do you

10:24

have any other thoughts about drag race vegas

10:26

live review on tux i don't think so

10:28

we waxed on long enough baby so let's

10:30

get into the the thing that we're here

10:33

to do oh oh okay well if we

10:35

must we must all right well i'm gonna

10:37

be kicking us off this week and i

10:39

do just want to say a big healthy

10:42

hour hour to connery for sending this one

10:44

and no sean connery jokes no i will

10:46

accept none now first up today i actually

10:48

have some uh i had news that i'm

10:51

happy to share from the world of true

10:53

crime okay which i mean you probably like

10:55

you're happy to share the true crime

10:58

news but some light has actually been

11:00

shown on a long-standing case so get

11:02

this okay back in september of 1989

11:06

a music store on university avenue

11:08

in madison wisconsin in the usa

11:10

which was aptly named good and

11:12

loud uh was absolutely rocked by

11:14

a chance discovery and this had

11:16

nothing to do with like a

11:19

great rare find or rex manning

11:21

day but instead

11:24

one day in september of 1989 at

11:26

good and loud in madison there

11:28

was a skull discovered in a

11:31

pipe that was connecting the building's

11:33

boiler to their chimney was this

11:35

pipe in the metal section of

11:37

the music store because that would

11:39

be appropriate no unfortunately i don't

11:41

think it was anything that was

11:43

that poetically satisfying unless

11:45

unless the metal section is like down

11:47

in the boiler room or something like

11:49

that which would actually be rather fitting

11:51

so i'm not gonna put it out

11:53

of the realm of possibility but it's

11:55

unlikely yeah i just don't have that

11:58

layer of nuanced information The

12:01

tea is where one finds

12:03

a skull, one may sometimes find a body, and

12:05

wouldn't you know it, Bobby? There

12:07

is a body attached to the skull and the

12:09

pipe. And that's... Listen, why is

12:11

Bobby's world's mom from Newfoundland? Oh, yeah.

12:13

You know what? I like it. I

12:15

mean, Newfoundland is maybe like the Canadian

12:17

Wisconsin. Yeah. I've been

12:19

saying it for years. Yeah, right? Alright, but what? You

12:21

were going to pontificate on something? Well, I was just

12:23

going to say that's not a really great discovery, you

12:25

know what I mean? Like you can find all kinds

12:27

of weird things in walls and chimneys and pipes and

12:29

shit, but a whole decomposed body is not

12:32

necessarily one of those things you can count on. No,

12:35

it's categorically not delicious. And

12:38

yeah, as indicated, it was decomposed. So

12:40

it wasn't so much like a body

12:42

as it was like a skeleton with,

12:44

you know, clothes and things such as.

12:47

Anyway, of course,

12:49

this is 1989, so there wasn't

12:51

a ton of DNA technology at

12:53

the time. And of course,

12:55

this plus the fact that there was no ID

12:57

created a bit of a conundrum when it came

12:59

to IDing the remains. Sure. Despite

13:02

initial thoughts that the skeleton made the of a

13:04

woman due to what they referred to as feminine

13:06

clothes, it actually turned out in

13:08

autopsy to be the bones of what they believed to

13:11

be an 18 to 35 year old white male. Okay.

13:16

But again, unfortunately, without ID or much

13:18

else to go on, the case deemed

13:20

chimney dough didn't really have anywhere to

13:22

go. However, in

13:24

2019, Detective Linvi Ludden decided to

13:27

refer the chimney dough case to

13:29

the DNA dough project. And

13:31

if you're not aware of them,

13:33

they are an initiative that started

13:35

up around 2017 that uses genetic

13:37

genealogy to connect those with ID.

13:39

That's right. Yeah. And long story

13:41

short, they were able to use

13:43

a strand of ruthless hair that

13:45

they found on the skull to

13:47

link the remains to that of

13:49

a guy named Ronnie Joe Kerr.

13:53

Damn. Yeah. Now, there's not really any

13:55

information on, you know, a disappearance or

13:57

anything involving this guy. But we. Do

14:00

you know that he was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma

14:02

in 1942? He

14:04

was adopted after birth which

14:07

could potentially have you know

14:10

complicated The chain of

14:12

people looking for him like maybe he didn't

14:14

have strong family ties or something like yeah

14:16

I mean, I'm not out here to assume

14:19

anything for adopted You know individuals because that

14:21

is not a monolithic experience by any means

14:23

I mean people come from non adoptive families

14:25

and and and have no contact with their

14:27

parents Yeah, exactly, but there's just so little

14:30

to go off of right. It's like one

14:32

thing that they have So they know that

14:34

about him. They know that during his life

14:37

He was married twice and had fathered numerous

14:39

children, but outside of that There's not a

14:41

lot else to go on right so of

14:43

course this is a developing case But it's

14:46

just great that after all of these years

14:48

They're finally able to ID the remains the

14:51

remains aren't really from my understanding given

14:53

them any more information as to what

14:55

could have happened But if anything this

14:57

can give them another avenue to look

14:59

down to explain how this body ended up

15:01

in This situation well

15:03

exactly because being able to identify the person

15:06

does give you a very or a much

15:08

more narrow Path of investigation in regards to

15:10

trying to figure out what had happened and

15:12

how and why yeah one doesn't just end

15:15

up in the wall Pipes of the business

15:17

for no reason that's true So anyway, we

15:19

shall see what comes from this But it

15:22

is a huge break in a case that

15:24

you know people didn't know if it would

15:27

ever be solved So I mean yeah

15:30

decades and decades Snaps are genetic genealogy

15:32

be blowing things wide open absolutely Anyway,

15:36

thank you to Connery once again for sending this

15:38

in our hour and thank you to my source

15:41

18:28

so I got some queer news to

18:30

get this roast to cook in. Ooooh.

18:33

And this is in regards to a new

18:35

documentary that's going to be coming out. It's

18:37

been produced by NBC. It's going to be

18:39

premiering on Peacock in June, I believe the

18:41

first week of June. Okay. But

18:44

it's a documentary called Queer

18:46

Planet. And it is

18:49

a documentary that aims to showcase

18:51

the quote on quote rich diversity

18:53

of animal sexuality. Aw, I

18:56

was hoping that they found an entire queer planet. That

18:58

would be great. I would go immediately. You know,

19:01

or like an exoplanet that converts ya. You know

19:03

what I mean? Uh huh. And I

19:05

would say like, ooh, maybe we can make a queer

19:07

island, but Fire Island already exists. That place can be

19:09

nasty. And I feel like the conservatives would love that

19:11

just a little bit too much. It's true. You know

19:13

what I mean? They'd be like, yeah, all

19:16

of you get on an island. That'd be great.

19:18

Yeah, no, queers, we need to scatter. Exactly.

19:20

Yeah, we need to scatter and we need to

19:22

infiltrate. That's right. Like Catherine

19:25

Zeta Jones, Tiffany's Lasers. Exactly. Anyway.

19:27

But anyway, this documentary, Queer Planet, it's

19:29

going to feature gay penguins, which we

19:32

love. Oh yeah. We love

19:34

a gay penguin. Oh, penguins are so gay. It's

19:37

going to feature some bisexual lion and

19:39

I guess also like a sex changing

19:41

clownfish. What? Get into that.

19:45

I know, right? So The synopsis

19:47

for this documentary says that it looks

19:49

at extraordinary creatures, witnesses amazing behaviors, and

19:51

introduces the scientists who are questioning the

19:54

traditional concept of what's natural when it

19:56

comes to the human nature. sex and

19:58

gender because wouldn't you know it? While

20:00

lot of people have created you know

20:03

a lot of things are. most world

20:05

marathon or other had a row normative

20:07

worldview that they may have a exactly

20:09

history science. All of these things should

20:11

be looked at through a queer lamb

20:14

asia and not the we want to

20:16

throw them out or anything like that

20:18

but it just adds an extra dimension

20:20

Exactly. It's all about expanding and learning

20:23

more and when we learn more regrow

20:25

when we just have a a deeper

20:27

connection with the world around us. And

20:29

the penguins. Are happier for he doesn't

20:31

want the penguins to be happy with

20:33

his shirt. Ever been to a Zune?

20:36

seen the sad penguin I sure have

20:38

out of the bio dome in Montreal.

20:40

See the penguins loving know if you

20:42

don't want them to be happy hundred

20:44

right? Yeah yeah. Now now as this

20:46

documentary unsurprisingly is the first of its

20:48

kind and for those of us with

20:50

a more progressive mindset, this sounds really

20:52

great. Girls who doesn't love day penguins

20:54

and by law hands and I? Or

20:56

but of course we're not allowed to

20:58

have nice things to hurt sales. The

21:00

more ignorant masses have really come

21:02

out to speak against this documentary

21:05

claiming that it is pushing a

21:07

quote satanic Gay agenda or as

21:09

I want to be think we're

21:11

grooming the animals Now know they

21:14

think we're screwing the children through

21:16

the gay and really come out

21:18

to speak against this documentary claiming

21:21

that it is pushing a quote

21:23

say tannic Gay agenda or as

21:25

I want to be think we're

21:27

grooming the animals Now know they.

21:30

think we're screwing the children through

21:32

the game that the system is

21:34

just focus on your own personal

21:36

so at some of the naysayers

21:38

have been saying that this is

21:40

so fucked up an evil for

21:42

our youth that as a little

21:44

quote from a user on guess

21:46

which platform ah white x oh

21:48

yes i was like next door

21:50

and like either know yeah whoever

21:52

of a toxic playgrounds of the

21:54

internet these days is it someone

21:56

else called it a at scientific

21:58

revision islam Okay, which is

22:01

probably exactly what people accuse like

22:03

Isaac Newton of yeah covering gravity

22:06

damn Yeah, it's not like science

22:08

isn't like constantly evolving and yeah

22:10

like discovering new things Exactly.

22:13

Oh damn like it's not like the whole

22:15

point of science is to basically disprove what

22:17

we've already know be true No, you discover

22:20

something once and then it's infallible and then

22:22

it never changes exactly and absolutely Like

22:24

science of all things has to be open

22:27

to change and has to be open to

22:29

being wrong or else you're never gonna learn

22:31

Anything yeah, but of course these people wouldn't

22:33

know anything about that Yeah,

22:37

no one is lost on them. It's true.

22:39

But you know what fuck these fuckers. No

22:42

Documentary is happening whether they like it or

22:44

not Penguins and lions

22:46

are out there fucking each other whether

22:48

they like it or not and also

22:50

Why are you so obsessed with by

22:52

lions fucking and what does that have

22:54

to do with the children? You know

22:56

what? Here's my advice to anybody with

22:58

a problem like that go into

23:00

the lions then quite literally and try

23:02

to get between the two Lions

23:06

who want to fuck yeah, just try

23:08

that please do that. No padding. Yeah,

23:10

exactly You just run in

23:12

there and you say stop. Yeah in

23:14

the name of my morals Yeah, you

23:16

just point at the lions and say

23:18

no homo. You're a sinner. Yeah How

23:21

dare you and the kicker is this

23:23

criticism is probably coming from the same

23:25

people who would see no problem Taking

23:27

their entire family out for Sunday lunch

23:29

at Hooters. Probably you know what I mean? We

23:31

are just there for the chicken wings Great.

23:34

Yeah, we're there for the food the food's

23:36

great at Hooters. I only read the

23:38

articles. I never inhaled Exactly.

23:42

Anyway, of course when there's good

23:44

news, there's loud Fucking

23:47

bigots, but I didn't let's be

23:49

louder Let's all gather

23:51

around our TVs and watch

23:53

this documentary and learn more

23:55

about our big beautiful all-encompassing

23:58

Earth And if anybody tries to give you. That about

24:00

anything like as to see I'm

24:02

sorry I can't hear you over

24:04

the gay cicadas thought games in

24:06

Glen Murray were ah yeah yeah

24:08

go back a few episodes. Gables

24:10

is of You want to hear

24:12

about the gay cicada? yeah but

24:14

uncommon. they are company or com

24:16

literally. Oh yeah I didn't mean

24:18

for that and into will they

24:20

go But anyway I let me

24:22

think my source now let me

24:24

think the pink New started police

24:26

S C for the article queer

24:28

as documentary feature a bisexual. Lions Accused

24:31

of pushing a seat at a Gay

24:33

Agenda that was in by Michelle Sale

24:35

and published on May Twenty first. Two

24:37

thousand and Twenty Four and you all

24:39

know we love you all and you

24:41

can believe it's you want to believe

24:43

as long as a dozen or for

24:45

hims on anyone else is road I

24:47

don't try to make me believe what

24:49

you believe that you know what religion

24:51

that's that's your T Yeah I T

24:53

yeah you can have your to drink

24:55

it exaggerated all. Be over here with

24:57

Sand Day Yeah and Crock Care. Think

25:00

you can, I think you were. I

25:02

should be where I belong right ahead

25:04

so I'd get the next piece of

25:06

spooky cable said oh man I am

25:08

I messed up. I have a story

25:11

that comes from the intersecting world's of

25:13

heavy metal and animal Control. Oh yeah,

25:15

of course those two things converge all

25:17

the time. Yeah, but don't worry, it's

25:19

not like verlag weird big old right

25:21

side of the malware. It's not like

25:23

five finger death punch on know and

25:25

I'll cop metal or anything like that.

25:27

but you know him in a non

25:29

problematic. Form of Metal an Animal Control

25:32

both been such a riveting combo. Never

25:34

thought I'd be talking by the personally

25:36

butter according to some recent news from

25:38

Golden Colorado in the Usa for strangers,

25:41

had to resort to some rather metal

25:43

desperate measures to try to coax a

25:45

bear stuck in the tree out of

25:48

said tree near the Colorado School of

25:50

Mines as he does go as a

25:52

recording of this episode. Okay I'm see

25:55

in the two points isn't but I'm

25:57

not seeing them comes to just as

25:59

well. Follow me on this one.

26:01

A half of the bear had allegedly

26:03

com the teeth allegedly make it a

26:06

thing. I'm sure the bear the legend

26:08

in it's own. Absolutely so. Allegedly this

26:10

legend of a bear came to the

26:12

areas searching for me. Now trash food

26:14

as one does. Ah and after a

26:17

god it's a little trash then then

26:19

it the side of it are an

26:21

alfresco. Up in it's leisure and knowing,

26:23

conceal it from the ice and say

26:26

settle fresco right? I don't really know

26:28

or wherever but ah the stand. Off

26:30

ultimately began when Parks and Wildlife staff

26:32

were called to the area to work

26:34

their magic Because now folks for a

26:36

little bit concerned about the bear in

26:39

the medieval a public space other it's

26:41

can make one wonder what the bears

26:43

gonna do after supper Valid. concern yourself.

26:45

Wildlife Control shows up at they plan

26:47

to just like scare the bear down

26:49

out of a tree and then when

26:52

it gets down they would decide that

26:54

they're gonna scare it. so hopefully it

26:56

doesn't desire a return trip. It just

26:58

takes it's trash and runs okay. And

27:00

unfortunately, this was all easier said

27:03

than done because after a while

27:05

wildlife staff I've found that the

27:07

bear wasn't moving. It. Ate

27:09

it hung out, it was just having

27:11

a son. Will not bothered. yeah maybe

27:13

was calling to be friends. do you

27:16

know just chat about society? But regardless

27:18

the bear was decided to just chill.

27:20

So the wildly staff brings him drones

27:22

and they're not going like attack the

27:24

bear with the drone or anything like

27:26

that, but that's fucked up and also

27:28

probably a losing battle because. Bear.

27:31

vs drone was gonna were gonna

27:33

win but anyway they just decided

27:35

that me be these strange sound

27:37

from the drones be buzzing around

27:39

worthy enough freak the bear out

27:41

and ultimately make them one leaves

27:43

the treat her go to greener

27:45

pastures unfortunately that it did the

27:48

trick okay so wildlife control decides

27:50

to really pull out the big

27:52

guns so to say now thankfully

27:54

no guns or involve get i

27:56

did but they decided to try

27:58

music have metal Okay, okay,

28:01

and what better tune to

28:03

call out the bears than

28:06

the 1970 black Sabbath classic

28:08

Iron Man So

28:12

they're gonna call upon the forces of

28:14

Ozzy Osbourne Yeah,

28:19

okay, that one you know iron

28:21

man. Yeah, if you don't know

28:23

it's the one that goes Dun

28:26

na na na na na na

28:28

na na na na yeah regardless

28:31

the bear Didn't really

28:33

seem to mind Okay, the

28:35

bears down the clown. Yeah, I

28:37

mean maybe they were into

28:40

the groove The thing is they

28:42

start blasting iron man the bear

28:44

doesn't budge the standoff continues and

28:47

At that point they were just like well I

28:50

guess the bear probably isn't gonna want to

28:52

move till dark because it stayed

28:54

through the food It's not through the chill.

28:56

It stayed through the drone. It stayed through

28:58

Aussie I know this

29:00

bear lives here now. Yeah, this bear's like

29:02

uh-uh. You can fuck with my house. You're

29:05

the nightmare neighbor I'm just up here minding

29:07

my own business exactly I'm like little do you

29:09

know the bears probably like look you play Taylor

29:11

Swift. I'm the fuck out of here I mean

29:14

like yeah, probably subsists on a

29:16

diet of dirt metal Yes, this

29:19

is a bear that probably not

29:21

ironically loves Pantera exactly what I

29:23

mean Yeah, this bear falls to

29:26

sleep to Megadeth

29:28

sure yeah, yeah, I'm gonna say type O

29:30

negative sure also make wine Well type of

29:32

negative is not really dirt battle though. No,

29:35

okay, but that's a lullaby music. Oh, you're

29:37

go to sleep You are so right.

29:39

Yeah, it's more. It's goth vibes Exactly,

29:43

but anyway, yeah, unfortunately They

29:46

just weren't ready to deal with a bear with

29:48

as varied a musical taste as this one obviously

29:52

So they just decided to let the bear

29:54

chill and ultimately the bear did get out

29:56

of the tree, which is nice It didn't

29:58

hurt anyone and the bear wasn't hurt

30:00

either. So the wildlife folks

30:03

from Golden Colorado did share a takeaway

30:05

lesson because they did post about this,

30:07

you know it's a game of traction,

30:09

but they said keep your trash inside

30:12

until the morning of trash day. The

30:14

bear ate trash left out in the

30:16

neighborhood the night before. Save the bear's

30:18

life by keeping it away from trash.

30:20

Yes. And I mean I think that's

30:23

fair. Absolutely because as

30:25

we established even with the

30:27

the story that we talked about about the

30:29

vultures that got into fermented fruit and

30:32

got really drunk, your

30:34

bear or this bear might be getting into

30:36

some of your nasty trash and it might

30:38

make the bear sick. Well exactly. They

30:40

also included other takeaway lessons are bears

30:42

are cute but still very much wild

30:44

animals and black bears

30:46

don't mind black saddest. That's the

30:49

real takeaway. That really is. Yeah.

30:51

Walking through the woods. Play

30:54

some black saddest. These motherfuckers were just too

30:56

vanilla. They were like you know what really

30:58

fucking rock the world black Sabbath. That's it

31:00

because I don't think of things that

31:02

would be way more jarring than black

31:04

Sabbath. Like math metal.

31:07

How about that? What's that?

31:09

Well just like super intricate you know

31:11

like weird time signatures. Oh

31:14

yeah. Like fucking technical

31:16

jargon in guitar form. Yeah.

31:18

Yeah. They could even

31:20

try to Kate Bush like something

31:23

the dreaming. Oh you know the dreaming.

31:25

Under ice. Like side two of Hounds of

31:27

Love. The ninth wave. Yeah. That'll send a

31:29

bear right out of it. That's the thing.

31:31

Side two of Hounds of Love is great

31:34

because you got like the whole like you

31:36

know you're trapped under ice at the person

31:38

and then it leaves in a nice place.

31:40

Mm-hmm. The morning fog.

31:42

Anyway whatever. We can talk about Kate

31:44

Bush another day. Mm-hmm. Point is the

31:46

bear is safe and we now are

31:48

learning more what kind of music they

31:50

like. So thank you to my source

31:52

Metal Injection. Been a while since I

31:54

had one of those. Thank

31:57

you for black Sabbath music is not good for getting a bear

31:59

out of a tree. published by Greg

32:01

Camili on May 21st of 2024.

32:04

Alright! So

32:07

Johnny, now that we've talked about the musical

32:10

tastes of black bears, do you want to talk

32:12

about space murder? Ooh, please!

32:14

Like murder in space? Yeah, yeah,

32:17

yeah. That's fun. Now, it's not

32:19

happened yet. Murder in space, that

32:21

is. But that's it.

32:23

You know, space is basically the

32:25

final frontier for us human beings.

32:28

Like, we've sent a lot of things out into space.

32:30

Drones or rovers or whatever, satellites.

32:32

We've got big telescopes where we

32:34

can observe galaxies far, far away.

32:36

You can douchebag billionaires up there

32:38

every now and then. Every now

32:41

and then, but those douchebag billionaires

32:43

haven't gotten very far yet. But

32:45

of course, it's only

32:47

a matter of time before humans start

32:50

hanging out in space on a regular

32:52

basis. Well, and you know what's speaking

32:54

of those motherfuckers? Like, if somebody is

32:56

going to commit a murder up in,

32:58

you know, space, it's definitely going to

33:00

be the Tesla pig. So, yeah, I'm

33:02

not going to fucking say his name.

33:04

Exactly. But the thing is, with the

33:06

idea that humans are going to be

33:08

hanging out in space, there is the

33:10

inevitable reality that perhaps, at

33:13

some point in time, someone will be murdered in

33:15

space. Of course. People murder each other all the

33:17

fucking time on Earth. It's not going to stop

33:19

just because we're in space. The

33:21

thing is, what certain researchers are

33:24

trying to figure out right now

33:26

is how do we investigate a

33:28

murder scene that happens in space?

33:30

It's quite different than when you're

33:32

going to a crime scene here

33:34

on Earth because you're not really

33:37

contending with anti-gravity, for example. Yeah.

33:39

So that brings us to today's

33:41

story, where there are a team

33:43

of researchers from Staffordshire University and

33:46

the University of Hull who are

33:48

out to explore the inevitable challenges

33:51

that would arise when trying

33:53

to process an interstellar crime scene.

33:55

Okay. More specifically, these researchers are

33:58

working with a... real

34:00

American CSI investigator who's working

34:02

on his PhD named Zack

34:05

Kowalski and they are trying

34:07

to identify the challenges of

34:09

bloodstain pattern analysis aboard a

34:11

spacecraft. So they're really just

34:14

focusing right now on that

34:16

one thing. Now they've

34:18

been conducting experiments with this in mind

34:20

and these experiments have been taking place

34:22

here on earth in a zero gravity

34:24

research facility nicknamed the vomit comet. Ooh

34:26

love that. Yeah these would be the

34:28

things that would be used for astronauts

34:31

to just kind of like learn how

34:33

to exist in zero gravity situations because

34:35

it can really flip you around in

34:37

more ways than one. Also I only

34:39

love the poetry of the name vomit

34:41

comet the more I actually think about

34:43

the implication of the name the less

34:45

I like it. Exactly right because puking

34:47

in the toilet's hard enough. But

34:50

puking and anti-gravity. It's a

34:52

whole other situation. But

34:54

so is examining blood splatters. So get

34:56

into this. To conduct these experiments they

34:59

made a mixture of 40% glycerin

35:01

and 60% food

35:03

colouring and this was basically

35:06

to simulate the relative density

35:08

and the viscosity of human

35:10

blood. Totally. And so in

35:12

this zero gravity research facility

35:14

they pushed these blood droplets

35:16

out from a hydraulic syringe

35:18

towards a target during a period

35:21

of reduced gravity between 0.00 and 0.05 G's.

35:23

And basically they wanted to see what would

35:30

happen with these blood stains and

35:32

so examining them the researchers reconstructed

35:34

the angle of impact. Basically like

35:36

you know how blood splatter analysis

35:39

is like oh the spray is

35:41

this way. So that means that

35:43

the person was left-handed and they

35:45

swing from the right. Yep. They

35:47

can tell a lot from blood

35:50

splatter analysis. But it can also be victorious.

35:52

It sure can. I was going to say

35:54

remember the circle. What is it? The staircase.

35:57

The other Netflix. Yeah. That's true. I mean

35:59

but when and owls are involved things

36:01

get wild it's true oh you

36:03

know it's always the owl yeah just wait for the

36:05

space owls baby we won't know what to do fuck

36:08

they're probably already out there they're already watching

36:10

and they've already

36:12

struck we just don't know it it's true

36:15

hmm now this study revealed

36:17

that blood in space is

36:19

more likely to stick to

36:21

surfaces and that blood drops

36:23

have shapes and sizes that

36:25

would not be reflective on

36:27

earth because with the lack

36:30

of gravitational influence surface

36:32

tension and cohesion of blood droplets

36:34

are amplified okay so basically getting

36:36

stabbed in space is gonna look

36:38

a lot different than getting stabbed

36:40

on earth now Zach

36:42

Kowalski states that studying bloodstain

36:45

patterns can provide valuable reconstructive

36:47

information about a crime or

36:50

an accident however little is

36:52

known about how liquid blood behaves in

36:54

an altered gravity environment yeah so although

36:56

they're really kind of just scratching the

36:59

surface they really don't have their a

37:01

full grasp on how something like this

37:03

can be analyzed yeah how

37:06

a situation can be reconstructed backwards

37:08

he says that although this is

37:10

an area of study that seems

37:12

pretty niche as of right now

37:15

it will become extremely important come

37:18

the first forensic investigation in space

37:20

so honestly it's just good measure

37:22

to try and figure this stuff

37:24

out now when there isn't a

37:26

death in ball that's the thing you don't want to

37:28

have to do when it's already too late

37:31

exactly like you know when the Tesla

37:33

pig strike it's exactly not that I'm

37:35

saying it's gonna happen but it

37:37

could anything

37:40

now this was interesting cuz Zach Kowalski

37:43

also stated that we're now entering like

37:45

a brand because of this idea of

37:47

living in space we're entering a new

37:49

era of forensic science he kind of

37:52

likened it to how much forensic science

37:54

changed in like the 19th century as

37:56

we started to learn more about like

37:58

how the human body Function so

38:00

now we're in this new era of

38:03

kind of pioneering What the fuck

38:05

murders gonna look like in space

38:08

and like honestly Jason X isn't a very

38:10

fair representation of what that could look like

38:15

Yeah, well then they gotta go change all

38:17

the academic papers I know Scientists have been

38:20

studying that as an archive right space history.

38:22

Yeah, but that's what science is all about

38:24

It's all about just building and improving change

38:26

and everything being okay to be wrong like

38:29

we said Now

38:31

with that being said I do just

38:33

want to thank my source though I think this

38:35

whole idea and this whole concept is super fucking

38:38

fascinating But the article

38:40

that I read was on Metro

38:42

co.uk is called scientists are preparing

38:44

for murders in space Is

38:46

there something we're missing that was written by

38:48

Isabel Williams and published on May 11th? 2024

38:53

we just got to get on it though before

38:55

Jack the space ripper hits, you know what I

38:57

mean? Yeah, whoever Jack the ripper will be to

38:59

space. Uh-huh, cuz I'm sure there will

39:01

be but like sure that pig will have

39:04

something to do with it, you know what

39:06

I mean? Yeah, absolutely I mean, here's the

39:08

thing though Although space is like vast and

39:10

and you know difficult to explore would also

39:12

be difficult to hide Yeah, because realistically you're

39:14

not just gonna be able to jump from

39:17

spaceship to spaceship to spaceship to spaceship baby,

39:19

right? I don't know I mean, I

39:21

feel like there's gonna be a lot of preparation to

39:23

even just go outside your spaceship one would thing I

39:25

don't really know. I don't know that much about space.

39:27

I don't plan on going. I'm cool on

39:29

the earth with all the ants Well next time I go I'll

39:31

take better. No If I'd

39:33

known I know. All right Well, I've got the

39:36

last piece of spooky gay bullshit here and this

39:38

one was sent into us by Robin So I

39:40

just want to say a big our our to

39:42

Robin Thinking about

39:44

us. So to wrap things

39:47

up today I have some news from

39:49

the world of academia and don't click

39:51

off just yet If you're like us

39:53

and you've had to slug it out

39:55

among departmental politics before girl, we're not

39:57

talking about that side of academia Thank

39:59

you Nor will be

40:02

be out here triggering anyone's final

40:04

exam PTSD because it's the

40:06

end of May baby. It is just

40:09

happened. Yeah but this does have to

40:11

do with a graduation service and we

40:13

are kind of in graduation season so

40:16

it works. Anyway this is about a

40:18

service taking place at Vermont State University

40:20

in the USA. Now as

40:23

indicated grad is coming up soon and

40:25

while graduates at VSU will be crossing

40:27

the stage and doing their thing not

40:30

all of the class will be present. I

40:32

mean you know

40:34

that happens from time to time but

40:36

this year it's a little bit more

40:39

special than the others because one of

40:41

those absent honorees will be receiving a

40:43

very very special diploma

40:45

of their own. Okay. That

40:48

I really truly believe is unmatched

40:50

by anybody else within the hallowed

40:52

halls of academia. So this year

40:55

Virginia State University is

40:57

sorry Vermont State University. You don't get it

40:59

twisted. Whatever they're the same thing. Not even

41:02

close. I know that's just me being a Canadian

41:04

and trying to flex on it. Aren't they all

41:06

the same thing? Yeah. Yeah. Oh my god.

41:09

It's like what? Ten feet? Okay

41:11

so uh Vermont State University is bestowing

41:13

a local celebrity named Max Dow with

41:16

his very own doctorate in literature. That's

41:18

cool. Yeah and look don't worry this

41:20

is not one of those like vanity

41:22

ones. Like I know you're like oh

41:25

my god who is this regional celebrity?

41:27

Like can you save the honorary doctorate

41:29

for the important people? Uh-huh. But just

41:32

hear me out. It's not

41:34

the traditional kind of honoree and

41:36

it's not the traditional kind of

41:38

doctorate of literature because this is not

41:41

L I T E R A

41:44

T U R E. Okay yeah. Literature.

41:46

Yeah this is L I double

41:49

T E R hyphen A

41:51

T U R E. Like litter? Uh

41:54

sure. Because Max just so happens

41:56

to be a cat. Oh! Oh!

41:58

You get the joke? I get it

42:00

now. Yeah. What? They're

42:03

giving the diploma to a cat? Yeah, who has been a quote,

42:06

an a section member of the campus

42:08

family for years. So

42:10

it was announced recently by Vermont State

42:12

University, who I believe is changing their

42:15

name to Virginia State University via

42:17

a now viral Facebook post that

42:19

should have framed diploma for the

42:22

cat in question. And it said

42:24

quote, with a resounding purr of

42:26

approval from the faculty, the board

42:28

of trustees, the Vermont State University

42:31

has bestowed upon Max Dowd a

42:33

prestigious title of doctor of litter

42:35

hyphen a chair that's good, complete

42:38

with all of the cat knit

42:40

perks, scratching post privileges and litter

42:42

box responsibilities that come with it.

42:45

Congratulations, Dr. Max Dowd. Yay. The

42:48

first cat doctor. I

42:50

think the first cat doctor of

42:52

literature. Yeah, that's true. That's very

42:54

unique. I love it. Now,

42:56

of course, with this level of local fame

42:58

comes an utter lack of privacy. So we

43:01

haven't even learned the backstory of the doctor

43:03

in question. Oh, good. I mean, let's

43:06

just say he actually Dowd

43:08

in Castleton, which is where the university

43:11

is. Right. And

43:13

of course she has become

43:15

aware of Max's popularity at

43:17

the university because when he's

43:19

not home, he's over on

43:21

campus. He's schmoozing. He's prowling.

43:23

He's hanging out with students.

43:25

He's being used as like

43:27

a subject in their photo

43:29

assignments, allegedly. People are

43:31

like putting him in his backpack and walking around

43:33

with him for fun, not taking him home or

43:35

anything like that. But essentially they save Max as

43:38

kind of like an emotional support cat

43:40

for the students on campus.

43:42

I mean, this is great because a

43:44

lot of universities will actually bring in

43:46

like puppies and kittens during exam time

43:48

so that students who are stressed can

43:50

go into these like rooms, designate it

43:52

for this, and just hang out with

43:55

a bunch of puppies or kittens for

43:57

a little while. And see, I love

43:59

that. I will say I feel

44:01

for anybody that has like severe pet allergies or

44:03

like cat allergies that might be on campus but

44:05

they ignore the cat of course because not like

44:08

you know the cats in classes or teaching or

44:10

anything like that. I mean that's the next step.

44:12

I mean they're gonna I'm sure they're gonna be

44:14

opening an apartment of literature now that they have

44:17

a doctor. And I mean maybe they could be

44:19

an instructor you know you don't have to publish

44:21

all that kind of stuff. Yeah. You probably don't

44:23

get tenure but anyway the thing is it gets

44:26

even cuter because with this whole relationship that you

44:28

know the owner Ashley has

44:30

watched her cat develop with the campus there

44:32

has kind of been like a reciprocal

44:34

respect offered to Ashley by the students just

44:37

via them like returning Max to her

44:39

home when he's out past five o'clock and

44:41

stuff like that. That's nice. Yeah. Everybody's

44:43

looking out for them. Yeah. She's put up

44:45

posters near the campus to be like

44:47

hey here's my number like if you see

44:49

Max around like past this time let

44:51

me know. And I guess students will let

44:54

her know or if it's like late

44:56

and they see him like up somewhere in

44:58

town she'll get a text from a

45:00

student or something like that. Like it's

45:02

so sweet. It really warms my heart.

45:04

And yeah as a thank you to

45:07

you know good old Max or sorry

45:09

Dr. Dow the university has bestowed upon

45:11

him this this

45:14

honorary degree. Very appropriate. Yeah. Some people might

45:16

look at it and say it's stupid and

45:18

you know what maybe it is. Yeah. What's

45:20

wrong with a little bit of stupidness. Those

45:22

people can go hang out with the feral

45:24

cats on campus that get jealous of Max.

45:27

Yeah. Because it happens. Max is a hot

45:29

ticket. But another sweet thing is that

45:31

the students also watch out for Max and make sure

45:33

that like the feral cats who stop in on campus

45:35

don't bully him. So I

45:37

love this. Oh here's

45:40

another funny story reading

45:42

about I guess he like didn't show up

45:44

on campus for a day or two and

45:46

the students are actually trying to him thinking

45:48

that he like passed away. Yeah. So like

45:50

honestly I love to see this shit happen.

45:52

I know that you know you know honorary

45:55

degrees you know they are mean they mean

45:57

something to people like fuck. We need this.

45:59

Yeah. in the world yeah

46:01

a little bit of light and laughter

46:03

and the cat is a

46:05

doctor of literature yeah how can you be mad

46:08

at that like here's the realty like a diploma

46:10

doesn't cost shit I know just a piece of

46:12

paper at the end of the day there you

46:14

go a bit of embossing on it in a

46:16

signature what's the big deal yeah and I

46:19

mean and they framed it for the cat most

46:21

of the cost of even this true

46:23

yeah it's true anyway long live the

46:25

doctor thank you my source the Guardian

46:27

for master of litters cat named max

46:30

give an honorary degree by US University

46:32

published by Ramon Antonio Vargas on May

46:34

18th 2024 and again I would have

46:36

Robin for

46:38

sending this in a cat getting an

46:40

honorary degree thank you for thinking about

46:43

host very up our alley and what

look if you don't know what the

48:00

deal is we like to end these episodes with

48:02

a few minutes of low-stakes advice to have a

48:04

little bit of fun and you know blow off

48:06

some steam. Even though we did just

48:08

get to talk about a doctor slash cat so you

48:10

know. The steam's been blown. I'm

48:12

not feeling too tight right now but anyway. With

48:15

that being said if you do want to send

48:17

us your questions we will explain how to do

48:19

so at the end. We're not advice professionals so

48:22

it's really just like an Instagram story but we'll

48:24

give you the information after. In

48:26

the meantime I've got five minutes with a contingency

48:28

on the timer. Do you have the question? I

48:30

do. Okay beautiful let's do this. Let's

48:33

go. First question can exes be friends?

48:36

I absolutely believe that they can. Yeah. But

48:38

it's really up to you both to kind of work that out

48:40

and I mean your history is going to inform that a lot

48:42

but like if you want to be friends with your ex and

48:44

you believe that you can be I think

48:46

you should try. Some people will be like no

48:49

never but I don't know nothing's a monolith like

48:51

you like them enough to date them you might

48:53

like them enough to be their friend. A lot

48:55

of people remain friends with their exes and it's

48:57

okay. Yeah. That's the reason you two got together

49:00

to begin with. Exactly. If your

49:02

friends are friends. Yeah. How do

49:04

you regain focus after a traumatic event? I

49:07

mean I don't think that there's a very

49:09

simple answer for this because trauma is something

49:11

that is not simply dealt with. No.

49:14

But I would say just take it

49:16

moment by moment try to do things

49:18

that you know maintain your attention and

49:20

if your attention slips that is okay.

49:22

Yeah maybe like don't over commit or

49:24

create big expectations for yourself. Yeah. You

49:27

have to get back into something and you spend

49:30

just 10 minutes a day doing that thing. Well

49:32

that's still 10 minutes you've spent doing that thing

49:34

and you should congratulate yourself for it. It's baby

49:36

steps all the way. Exactly. How can I

49:39

get a better sleep in the warmer months? You

49:41

could get some like cooling bedding some cooling

49:43

sheets. There are literally like AC units that

49:45

you can get that like hook into your

49:48

bed. Yeah that actually have like a little

49:50

hose that like shoots into your sheet. Yeah

49:52

that might be a bit extreme but you

49:54

can get like cooling pillows and stuff like

49:56

that but something that you can do that's

49:58

really cheap and inexpensive. expensive and I found

50:01

to be effective is get water bottles freeze

50:03

them put them in a sock and put

50:05

them at the foot of Your bed at

50:07

nighttime, and if you just rest your feet

50:09

on the cold block of ice It's

50:12

gonna cool your whole body down Yeah, when we record

50:14

we have to turn off the AC and everything and

50:16

I literally have a nice pack under my feet right

50:18

now Yeah, we're talking mmm ice

50:20

blonde or strawberry blonde currently

50:23

rocking a fuckass Bob. Ooh

50:26

I like that sounds yeah fun.

50:28

I do too. Yeah, okay What color

50:30

should I paint my front door? Oh,

50:32

that's a really fun. Mmm I

50:35

mean it depends on what color is your house and we

50:37

need to know what color your house is Let's just imagine

50:39

that it's something neutral and they want to go with something

50:41

funky. Okay, I Yellow

50:43

or orange. Okay. I was gonna say orange.

50:45

Okay, there we go Should I take special

50:48

time in my day to read books? Sure.

50:50

I mean, I think that's fun Yeah, if

50:52

it makes you happy and if it's something

50:54

you enjoy doing absolutely try to make time

50:56

for it Yeah, absolutely how to stop feeling

50:59

old at 40. I just turned 40 with

51:01

a frowny face. Oh, well 40

51:03

is not old Yeah, I don't even believe

51:05

fucking look. I'm gonna be honest neither of

51:07

us are 40 yet So we can't speak

51:09

to that. But baby, I'm 35 and I

51:12

I'm constantly just like oh god, but

51:15

you're not old No, I have to remind

51:17

myself of that all the time. Yeah, and

51:19

like bitch with how things

51:22

are today What

51:25

Is old anymore, you know, like I'm stumbling

51:27

over my words here But it's like Tim

51:30

Gunn didn't have the career that we know

51:32

him for until like his mid-50s That's

51:34

the team it happens for people at all points in

51:36

their life and the beauty of the world that we

51:39

are living in now Is that we are coming into

51:41

having an older generation of like really

51:43

cool people covered in tattoos So like just

51:45

have some fun anything can happen at any

51:47

moment, but here's something you could do go

51:49

get a tattoo Yeah, do it any recommendations

51:52

for puzzle toys for cats. Oh Absolutely.

51:55

I forging that I feel like a

51:57

cat would love a foraging that yeah,

51:59

I mean A lot of animals do

52:01

bats love them hedgehogs love them dogs love

52:03

them. So that's where I would start but

52:06

honestly, I'm sure if you Fleetwood,

52:09

sorry Beamer isn't much of a puzzle girl So

52:12

we don't have puzzles for beamers a laser

52:14

tag girl. Yeah laser pointer girl Yeah feather

52:16

on a like on a road chase in

52:18

the ribbon. Yeah, but yeah I would say

52:21

a foraging that would probably be a good

52:23

way to start. Absolutely my skincare Kings Do

52:25

you have a favorite sunscreen for both body

52:27

and face? Um,

52:30

I mean, I do you have a

52:32

favorite sense? I don't know Honestly,

52:34

I do something cheap and cheerful as long as

52:36

it has a high SPF. I'm good Yeah, and

52:38

as long as it doesn't end up like come

52:40

through milky. I'm good. Yeah, just kind of I go

52:43

with whatever work I do waterproof though because

52:45

I sweat like a mother yeah high SPF

52:47

and waterproof. Yeah, that's it How

52:49

do I get motivated to work out? I have

52:51

zero willpower I think it's

52:53

another one of those things where you just have

52:55

to take a little bit at a time If

52:57

it's something that you're not used to doing Yeah

53:00

Don't over commit because then when you're not able

53:02

to live up to those expectations that you've set

53:04

for yourself You're gonna feel bad about yourself and

53:06

it's gonna discourage you from doing it at all,

53:08

right? So just like little tiny things

53:11

like just one day a week. Just

53:13

start with one day a week for a

53:15

half an hour I agree 15 minutes

53:17

my birthday is tomorrow. Should I take mushrooms and

53:19

go watch a mushroom doc at my local art

53:21

house? Oh Yeah, go do

53:23

that It's nice to

53:26

have a trip buddy though Yeah, if you're doing

53:28

shrooms, you never know I don't know everybody's different

53:30

But I think it's always nice to have somebody

53:32

who can be there for you to take

53:34

care of you as long as they're not An annoying. I know

53:36

that's what I like to be alone. Yeah Anyway,

53:39

okay best beach activity going

53:41

this Monday to for US

53:44

Memorial Day Oh,

53:46

I love building sandcastles. I really really

53:48

do I do just for kids, but

53:50

it is not I love looking for

53:53

stone Yeah beachcombing yeah, and

53:55

like seashells and all that kind of stuff is fun

53:57

too But then yeah, I don't want to fuck with

53:59

anything. There might be someone's house, like a crab

54:01

or something. Beach glass is so fun to

54:03

look for though, but it might not be

54:05

in your area. I feel like there's only

54:07

certain beaches where you're able to find a

54:09

lot of sea glass. Yeah, and also look

54:11

up your area and make sure that if

54:14

you're ever on the beach and you have

54:16

glass and you're like, oh, just throw it

54:18

into the ocean, that's what you do. Not

54:20

every ocean or not every beach creates beach

54:22

glass, and in a lot of cases people

54:24

do that and they're actually just straight up

54:26

littering because the glass doesn't actually get pulled

54:28

out like a dozen. At the time, it like

54:31

buffs it. Yeah, like in the place I used to

54:33

work at and if land people would do that all

54:35

the time and locals had to be like, dudes, no,

54:37

you're just cutting people. Yeah, it's not cool. Okay,

54:40

best way to spend a birthday, solo

54:42

road trip or staycation. Ooh, solo road

54:44

trip. You're into that? Yeah, I don't

54:46

know. Maybe it's because I've been reading

54:48

like some travel log kind of books

54:51

lately, but do it, stay

54:53

safe, but maybe do a solo road

54:55

trip. Yeah, it's good to share

54:57

your location with somebody. Have somebody who they

54:59

can like open up their phone and they

55:01

can see where you are. Unaccountable, buddy. Yes.

55:03

What is a must-need bedtime luxury item? I

55:05

already have silk pillowcases and lip mask. Ooh,

55:08

you're on a good trajectory, Hanny. Okay,

55:11

silk eye mask. I love

55:13

that. Block of light, baby. That is very

55:15

nice. I have like a, mine was, I'm

55:18

a doozin' doozin' girl. They do my favorite

55:20

homewares, but they did one with Nordstrom a

55:22

few years ago for like their homewares and

55:24

I found it on like fucking Depop or

55:27

whatever that used thing.

55:29

I think that's Depop. Yeah. Yeah. Anyway, um,

55:31

I would say something like that. Ooh, there's

55:33

the timer. I would say, I would recommend

55:35

like a relaxation app, something where you can

55:37

do like maybe a little bit of like

55:40

a meditation moment. Oh yeah. Or you can

55:42

listen to some soothing sound. I was going

55:44

to say I use headspace for that. Oh

55:46

yeah. And water, a nice big glass of

55:48

water before you go to be it. Yeah.

55:50

But a bit hydrated babies. Yeah. Um, but

55:53

don't do what I do and like, doosh

55:55

your stomach with water. Well yeah, drink it

55:57

slowly. Johnny tends to chug it. Whatever

56:00

how do I make friends with benefits

56:02

without the apps and being a non-drinker

56:04

Jim farmers market? Hmm,

56:08

I don't really know honestly. We're out

56:10

of the games babies Yeah, the game mommy

56:12

and daddy don't really have a lot of

56:14

dating advice I think it's just got to

56:16

start with a friendship and then And

56:18

then beneficial additions come yeah from there But

56:20

I think the first word is the most

56:22

important they got be a friend They got

56:25

to be a friend and it got to

56:27

be consensual because the benefit of an app

56:29

is you kind of know what? Somebody's looking

56:31

for right away right in a gym. Maybe

56:33

people are just there to work out They're not

56:36

there for anything else, you know at a farmers

56:38

market. Maybe people just want to get their carrots

56:40

and leave That's the thing. I don't know if

56:42

I'd be picking people up at the gym. Yeah.

56:44

Yeah, okay Um, do you wanna do you want

56:46

to choose like a few each and round things

56:48

out? I know we've been like, you know waxing

56:50

on a little bit. But yeah, yeah, um fun

56:52

out of the box bridal party themes Ooh,

56:55

you know that game that you

56:57

play at like birthday parties and

57:00

kids monster parts. Yeah that

57:04

Monks their part Megazord bride

57:06

everyone becomes a giant bride

57:09

and you're all the different parts. Yeah talking about

57:11

no Here's what you do. Maybe you go you

57:13

all get like a thrift it. I don't know

57:15

I don't think asking about

57:17

a theme not like a thing to

57:19

do these. Okay You're

57:21

not planning any showers for anyone that's

57:24

probably for the Just

57:26

try a theme a theme Victorian

57:29

vampire Yeah,

57:31

I don't know why steampunk candy,

57:33

please do not do steampunk. I

57:35

knew somebody they went to a

57:37

steampunk wedding They had to travel

57:39

internationally to go Really

57:45

they had a great time I'm sure Okay,

57:51

okay, how do I avoid the

57:53

workplace gossip her I Mean

57:56

you don't know they'll find you they'll track you

57:58

down. I think it's a matter of harm

58:00

reduction maybe maybe Fox piss yeah

58:03

I mean but then they'll just

58:05

gossip about you smelling like you're

58:07

right yeah oh my god they're

58:09

in person double this person is

58:11

toxic and the real person who

58:13

needs to do work is this

58:15

person yeah and don't engage talk

58:17

to HR like I don't know

58:19

they're toxic how do

58:22

I recover from the disappointment of the

58:24

dear David movie oh I don't

58:26

know I don't know see we've

58:29

avoided it we don't have

58:31

to live with the discomfort yeah I feel

58:33

for you maybe find a support group it

58:36

makes me uncomfortable to even think about it

58:38

you know what I like to do honestly

58:40

though I just like to go on reddit

58:42

and bitch with people about it yeah honestly

58:44

it's just nice to like go onto a

58:46

form and just complain with other people who

58:48

want or just silently read the complaining reviews

58:51

yeah yeah I agree exactly not with affirmation

58:53

okay and do we want to choose like

58:55

one each or yeah gonna wrap this up

58:57

with here we go Father's Day gift ideas

58:59

for my boyfriend oh he's a

59:01

bassist he likes spooky things and

59:04

dad joke oh shit

59:06

something that I got for Johnny and

59:08

I think you enjoy it as a

59:10

bassist Johnny is your pick case yeah

59:13

yeah I do it was from

59:15

Etsy it's like made out of wood and

59:17

holds like 10 picks it's very very cute

59:19

but here's the thing if they're a bass

59:21

player they might not play with a pic

59:24

oh you're lucky I don't play bass with

59:26

a pic yeah but you play guitar yeah

59:28

therefore you use your picks I never thought

59:30

I don't play guitar with a pic oh

59:32

yeah I I don't really

59:34

play anything with a guy well they

59:36

let I have pics just in case

59:38

and for that a pick holder is

59:40

great so huh I don't know again

59:42

picks can be a complicated thing yeah

59:44

strings are a very personal thing any

59:46

real bass gear it's like that's fair

59:49

maybe just like a cool a strap

59:51

for a cool strap cable free guitars

59:53

makes a really great strap

59:55

that like takes the load off so like I

59:57

have some like like I have a bass or

59:59

two that's like 12 pounds. Like

1:00:01

if any of you are of

1:00:03

the in the know, I've

1:00:05

got an old Dan, Ampeg

1:00:08

Dan Armstrong, like lose site bass, and

1:00:10

that thing is fucking heavy. Yeah, those

1:00:12

straps are very helpful for taking the

1:00:14

load off your bag. There you go.

1:00:16

So that's something we're getting to. Yeah,

1:00:18

here's a spooky recommendation that you can

1:00:20

do on Oh, Geddy

1:00:22

Lee's The Big Book of Bass. Okay.

1:00:24

It's such a good coffee table book

1:00:27

filled with Geddy Lee's personal thoughts on

1:00:29

bass guitars and his personal bass collection.

1:00:32

I love it. I have given it to

1:00:34

bass players in my life. I have a

1:00:36

copy. It is such a good coffee table

1:00:38

book. Geddy Lee's The Big Book of Bass.

1:00:40

There you go. Sorry, didn't mean to interrupt

1:00:42

you. That's fine. But my recommendation is something

1:00:44

that you can do on the cheap. So

1:00:47

if you've ever heard of grave rubbings, this

1:00:49

really cool process where you can get like

1:00:51

a piece of paper, go to

1:00:53

a graveyard with a piece of like

1:00:55

a graphite stick, and you can basically

1:00:57

rub over the gravestone and get an

1:01:00

impression of the engraving. So you could

1:01:02

maybe go to a graveyard, find like

1:01:04

his first name or his last name.

1:01:06

You can do a rubbing of it

1:01:09

and then you can frame it. Yeah.

1:01:12

Or if budget isn't an option and you

1:01:14

have like fuck off money, get them like

1:01:16

a bass six. Not a

1:01:18

six string bass, but like a squire bass

1:01:20

six. You know what I mean?

1:01:22

Fair enough. That's a Benny though. I know,

1:01:24

but that's what I said. If you have

1:01:26

fuck off money, like if this person's like,

1:01:28

you know, up there with the Tesla pig,

1:01:30

you know what I mean? Okay, fair enough.

1:01:32

I wouldn't be spending that kind of money

1:01:34

here, but here we are. So

1:01:36

okay. How about actually,

1:01:39

how about we just leave it there? Fair

1:01:42

enough. I feel like we, you know, we

1:01:44

gave, we gave some answers. We did. Well,

1:01:46

here's one. Okay. I'm

1:01:48

reading this because they complemented us. Okay. They said

1:01:50

we're cuties and they

1:01:52

want to know what a secret to a good

1:01:54

long relationship is. Oh shit. Being willing to drop

1:01:57

stuff. Yeah. Hold on to it. Don't go to

1:01:59

bed upset. It's a cliche but it actually works.

1:02:02

When we argue, we work it

1:02:04

out, we talk it out, even if it's uncomfortable

1:02:06

or annoying. And it's good to

1:02:09

communicate in the moment. And

1:02:11

if something is bothering you for one reason or

1:02:13

another, it doesn't really matter what it is, but

1:02:15

if it's in relation to the person who you're

1:02:17

sharing your life with, talk about it

1:02:19

when you aren't arguing, because a lot of the times

1:02:21

you'll hold onto things and then it will just come

1:02:23

out when you're already fighting, and then it just becomes

1:02:25

a fight on a fight on a fight on a

1:02:27

fight, and it's not actually productive at all. So

1:02:30

I don't know, maybe it's just something as simple

1:02:32

as a pet peeve, maybe they do something and

1:02:34

you just don't really like that they do it, maybe

1:02:36

they leave their towel all bunched up on the floor

1:02:38

of the bathroom, you don't want them to do it.

1:02:40

I don't do that, he's not talking. No, I'm not,

1:02:42

that's just a hypothetical. But just have a conversation about

1:02:44

it when you aren't in an argument,

1:02:46

you know what I mean? It's just those little

1:02:49

things that can build a

1:02:52

relationship. And also laugh together and

1:02:54

give each other space and time

1:02:56

to be yourselves as well. Seriously.

1:02:59

You both are individual people with individual

1:03:01

interests and you need to give each

1:03:03

other space to explore those things. Yeah,

1:03:06

laugh together, fuck together, and you

1:03:08

know, work shit out. That's

1:03:10

all I can tell you, and have fun.

1:03:12

And oh, oh, PS, speaking

1:03:15

of doing the do, not

1:03:17

everybody fucks every day or

1:03:20

multiple times a week. So if you're having a

1:03:22

bit of a dry spell or if you're partners, that is okay.

1:03:25

And that doesn't mean that it's gonna

1:03:27

be what it is forever, but like

1:03:29

literally part of sharing a bed and

1:03:31

a life with somebody for that long

1:03:33

is understanding that, you know, we all

1:03:35

have seasons and moments, and maybe you

1:03:37

don't fucking know. So it's all good.

1:03:39

Yeah, but that's where communication comes into

1:03:41

because if you have open communication, you

1:03:43

can talk about that stuff with each

1:03:45

other. Exactly. You know exactly where each

1:03:47

other is at at any given moment

1:03:49

of the day, week, year, or whatever.

1:03:51

And when all else fails, just scream

1:03:55

into their asshole. Works

1:03:57

every time. Yeah, sometimes. And

1:04:00

just I take the opportunity, Tyler will be like,

1:04:02

you know, bending down to get something out of

1:04:04

the fridge and I'll be like, oh,

1:04:07

just dream directly into the

1:04:09

cavern of their asshole. And

1:04:12

that's, that's a great way to get out of your

1:04:14

aggression. Yeah. And thus concludes

1:04:16

those... Thank you

1:04:18

to everybody who submitted your questions. We hope we

1:04:20

were able to answer your questions to the best

1:04:22

of our abilities. Just a reminder, we are not

1:04:24

a vice professional. Exactly. Clearly.

1:04:28

Yeah. Uh-huh. But

1:04:30

we do appreciate everybody who submitted your questions.

1:04:32

And if we didn't get to yours, it's

1:04:34

not personal. It's just drag. We were just

1:04:36

too busy talking about screaming into buttholes. That's

1:04:39

right. But submit your questions next week because you

1:04:41

never know. We might get to yours. Good to

1:04:43

be you. Now, here's how you do it. We

1:04:46

got these things called Instagram stories. If you

1:04:49

don't know, Google it. But

1:04:51

every week between Tuesday and Thursday when we

1:04:53

record these episodes, we will post in our

1:04:55

Instagram stories a little call for those six

1:04:57

advice questions. Because you never know, we might

1:04:59

get to yours. Good to be you. Now,

1:05:01

here's how you do it. We

1:05:04

got these things called Instagram stories. If you

1:05:06

don't know, Google it. But every

1:05:08

week between Tuesday and Thursday when we record

1:05:10

these episodes, we will post in our Instagram

1:05:12

stories a little call for those six advice

1:05:15

questions. It's like one of those question box

1:05:17

things. There you can submit your

1:05:19

questions. Don't DM or email. We

1:05:21

just won't see it. That's right. We're

1:05:23

not advice pros. For legal reasons, we just

1:05:26

cannot take it anywhere else other than the

1:05:28

Instagram question box. Now, if you

1:05:30

do want to follow us on Instagram or

1:05:32

threads or Facebook, we are on all

1:05:34

of those platforms at That's Spooky Pod.

1:05:36

It is spelled just like it is

1:05:38

in our email address, which is not

1:05:40

spookypod.gmail.com, which PS is the best way

1:05:42

to send us a spooky

1:05:44

gate bullshit, listeners stories, headphones, all

1:05:47

that kind of stuff. Have

1:05:49

you screamed into your partner's asshole? Do you have a

1:05:51

story to tell? Let us know. Please

1:05:54

do. Don't share a video. Yeah,

1:05:56

we'll take your word for that one. Yeah, no, it's

1:05:58

all good. But anyway. If

1:06:01

you want to get specific, the

1:06:03

spelling of all that is TJTSSPOOKYPOD@gmail.com.

1:06:05

So there you go. If all

1:06:08

of that was too convoluted, go

1:06:10

to our website, thatspooky.com, and

1:06:13

there you'll be able to find all of the

1:06:15

aforementioned social media and email

1:06:17

addresses in clickable link form. There

1:06:19

you can also listen to episodes, read show

1:06:22

notes, all of that kind of stuff. You

1:06:24

can also check out our store through the

1:06:26

website, or just go directly to thatspooky.com. And

1:06:29

of course, there's a link on there to

1:06:31

the Secret Society, which just so happens to

1:06:33

be a super exclusive community of spooky bitches

1:06:36

over on Patreon, that get

1:06:38

access to our weekly mini episodes called Spooky

1:06:40

Snacks and a whole bunch of other fun

1:06:42

stuff. Absolutely. And also, don't forget, Pride merch

1:06:44

is going to be dropping really soon. Oh

1:06:47

yeah! We're working on the design, it's

1:06:49

all coming together. It's really fucking cool, so get into

1:06:51

that. But yeah, back to the Secret Society, if it

1:06:53

doesn't suck. Oh my god, don't even worry, I

1:06:56

forgot. It just popped in my brain, and then

1:06:58

I was like, if I don't say it now,

1:07:00

I'm going to forget again. No, exactly. But then

1:07:02

if I don't go back and finish that, then

1:07:04

I won't know what to go on to next.

1:07:06

Exactly. Because, you know how it is, I'm an

1:07:09

automaton. But anyways, Secret Society doesn't suck. patreon.com.com, that's

1:07:11

spooky, is how you get there. I

1:07:13

mentioned what it's all about, so please check it out, it's

1:07:15

a great way to support the show. And,

1:07:18

speaking of ways to support the show, if you

1:07:20

want to leave us a rating and review on

1:07:22

whatever Podcast app you're listening to us on, we

1:07:24

would really appreciate it. It's a completely free way

1:07:26

to show us a little bit of love, and

1:07:29

it really does help. So just, don't be

1:07:31

a jerk, write something nice, five stars only,

1:07:33

that's the rule. And if you're listening

1:07:35

to us on an app where you can't leave the review,

1:07:37

which you can, or you can't, yeah, you can leave the

1:07:39

review, but you can't leave the rating, I always mix them

1:07:42

up, drop the review in an

1:07:44

email, we like to read them on the main

1:07:46

show, and we will include those emailed reviews in

1:07:48

as we randomly select one every week, so you'll,

1:07:51

you're covered. You're on the team.

1:07:53

That's right. But anyway. That's

1:07:55

it. I think that's it, and this week we

1:07:57

don't have any fart poems to share, so I

1:07:59

think that... Really truly is it? Yeah,

1:08:03

right if anybody out there has a fart

1:08:05

poem and you're like a fart on the

1:08:08

show on fart letters I

1:08:10

mean Yeah, we'll leave

1:08:12

it at that. Yeah, I'm now I don't

1:08:14

need any fluids or solid matter, but no.

1:08:16
