A Fantastic Story of Witches and SpiritsIf you're looking for a great story about the northern denizens of Faerun, then look no further. The DM Victoria brings to the table a fantastic story that speaks volumes about the Rashemi people and the spirits of the north. The NPCs that Victoria brings in feel more realistic as the party interacts with them, which is often a struggle every DM faces and she surpasses very well. The party is a very fleshed out group with a great cast bringing these characters to life. You not only get to see them slowly bond and joke around, as we all know and love with these kind of stories, but they also bring very rich and detailed backstories that bring these characters to life. So if you enjoy a great story, with a solid cast, and a very produced sound that helps ease you into the story, then hop on board because this podcast will take you there!
This D&D podcast always delivers. Great roleplay, creative storytelling, and the perfect balance of seriousness and humor.
The Broadswords is a delightful podcast, and a fun journey. Listening to these characters' adventures (and misadventures) as they've butted heads, learned, and grew together earned all three a special place in my heart. And there is likely nowhere else to find the level of baby goat antics in an actual play podcast. The story is masterfully woven by Victoria. She and all the players and wonderful guests bring their A game for descriptions which helps the audio medium really come alive.
One of my favorite D&D Actual Play podcasts. A great group of people make this an incredible listen. So much hard work and dedication go into it. It's well worth your time!
Love how the characters are depicted also the cover art 🖼
the broadswords is such a fun new flavour of d&d podcast. I love that the main cast (and main characters) are all women, and victoria is such an awesome DM - she gives the players so much wiggle room for interpreting things, as well as for goofs and bits! she also soundscapes environments so amazingly and really knows how to nail the music choices. all around huge kudos to every one of the broads!
The Broadswords features some top notch dramatic DMing by Victoria Rogers in a narrative story that follows the sometimes serious sometimes hilarious shenanigans of the main characters who complement one another's personalities perfectly. Everything is evocative, charming and delightful from the start, and is really worthwhile listening to. I highly recommend this podcast to everyone who likes actual play podcasts, and I'm really excited to see where things go once the current campaign wraps up!
