Good Evening, or whatever time of day it is for you, we're back with another installment of The Cast Who Knew Too Much. This month, we're taking a look at Carol Reed's Night Train to Munich. You're probably yelling at your computer right now, demanding that you want a refund. And we want you to relax. This is not a Hitchcock movie, we know. But, it can be considered a spinoff of sorts from The Lady Vanishes. Night Train to Munich is connected to The Lady Vanishes in several ways; they share screenwriters, a lead performance from Margaret Lockwood, and the supporting players of Naunton Wayne and Basil Radford—who reprise their rolls as Charters and Caldicott.

So, Dustin and Arthur said, "Hey, good enough for us." Thus, we present this look back at another British Train Thriller which appeared to be quite the sub-genre in the 30s and 40s. In fact, this movie was released in 1940 (The Lady Vanishes debuted in 1936). But of course, your fearless hosts get into all of that in this episode. They also discuss what was going on with Hitchcock during this period. Finally, they go back and forth essentially asking who did it better.

Arthur and Dustin discussed periodizing Hitchcock a bit more to help format seasons for this program. Therefore, they have just wrapped up their first period with the latter-British Hitchcock films.
