This week we begin a fantastic journey with Peter Pan. If you’ve never read the actual book before, you’re in for a real treat. One thing that I noticed is that there are many references to Treasure Island – the quintessential pirate book. And so, as an added bonus, I’m going to be releasing Treasure Island as a companion series through The Classic Tales app. App users can find the special episode in the bonus area, on the top right area of the home screen.

One more quick note before we begin. Some of these classics were written in such a characteristically British way, the sound of an American reading it sounds like Gomer Pyle is narrating. “All children, except one, grow up”. Yeah, nobody wants that. So I’m giving the narrator a British character voice, which will hopefully be more in tune with the original material. The last thing we want to do is take Peter Pan to Mayberry.

And now, Peter Pan, Part 1 of 9, by J. M. Barrie
