Jennifer Ebeling amazes me. In her podcast The Daily Gardener she shares gardening tips, articles, books, plant information, shopping links, notable birthdays and remembrances, and more — daily! I always learn something and I am never disappointed. (Gardening) hats off and a tip of the trowel for this wonderful, Interrstinf podcast.

My new can't-miss podcast - The Daily Gardener - packs so much into about 20 minutes - perfect for starting my weekday mornings. My favorite part is when Jennifer combines history and gardening. It's like sitting down with a dear friend who has spent the day reading and researching and can't wait to tell you all the best parts. Jennifer is even more of a book addict than I, enthusiastic about a wide range of topics, and crafts book reviews that are irresistable. I have listened to five podcasts and bought two books. I fear the floor joists will not be able to handle this...

I welcome the podcast every week day. It's a bright, brief daily overview of garden highlights including brief biographies of influential garden authors, designers, and practitioners. I love hearing events that have happened "on this date". The entire podcast helps me feel connected to the gardening concept and community. What a daily gift!

This weekend I slipped in a headphone in one ear to listen to some past podcasts while I was gardening - it created the perfect atmosphere! Jennifer's voice is just so soothing and the abundance of knowledge shared is just fantastic. Her choice of words and command of her diction is so perfectly on point! Love every bit of it. A wonderfully peaceful way to start a day! Interesting gardening facts with history thrown in. The transition music is unique and relaxing. A very nice listen with a cup of coffee.

This podcast is very enjoyable. The content is really varied - it’s not just about the latest plants or trends. Jennifer provides book reviews and I have used those to find new books to read. She gives information about botanists and I’ve learned about early explorers. The poetry is great. And there is information about plants and gardening practices. It’s great to have such variety! And all of it ties together so well with the Facebook group and the weekly newsletter. Very well done and researched. Highly recommend!

I’ve been meaning to write a review for a while now and through tears I am finally getting to the task. For the past two years, I have been faithfully listening to Jennifer Ebeling at The Daily Gardener Podcast after discovering it by accident. I started listening as I walked my three elderly dogs in the Santa Cruz mountains. The botanical history and book reviews were an intellectually stimulating soundtrack as I walked along the rootbound paths surrounded by giant redwood, fir and madrone trees and a treasure of native plants. I started to see my mountains a little bit differently.After losing my beloved Border Collie rescue, Shasta, I walked with my two remaining dogs, Noah, a Lab mix, and Pepper, a Chihuahua mix and took comfort in the stories and melancholy poems Jennifer so lovingly researches and presents. Her calm and clear voice was a salve for my grief.When I lost my little Pepper to cancer in the horrible year that was 2020, Jennifer’s recounting of the lives and losses of botanists long gone helped me feel less alone in my own losses. Her own personal stories made me feel like I had a new friend.As I walk my last old dog, Noah who is now 15 and pass people with their faces covered with masks, I still listen and marvel at the perseverance and resilience of man and nature.Through the death and losses of 2020, through personal tragedy and despair, The Daily Gardener podcast reminds me that life is as fleeting as old flower petals on a windy day and that strength can be found in the love of nature and those who work to protect it in so many subtle and loving ways.

Every morning, when I walk out into my Florida garden to work for a few hours, I listen to a variety of podcasts covering all my favorite topics. On weekdays, the very first podcast I listen to, without fail, is The Daily Gardener. Ms. Ebeling's voice is pleasant, her delivery professional, her preparation top notch. The Daily Gardener has guided me toward new interests and connected me with northerners counting the days until Spring, adventurous botanists from other times, historical figures passionate about plants, and ... books that I pause her podcast to buy. I've often recommended this podcast to anyone who stops to talk as they pass by my garden.
