All right. Welcome back to the Daily Mastermind. George Wright III with your daily dose of inspiration, motivation, and education.

0:12

I hope you're having a phenomenal week. I'm really looking forward to talking with you today about a topic that's

0:17

been on my mind for a little bit now.

0:19

You know, I want to ask you a couple of questions, but before I do, I

0:22

want to get you the quote of the day. And the quote of the day is comfort zones are most often

0:27

expanded through discomfort.

0:30

Comfort zones are most often expanded through discomfort.

0:35

I want you to really let that sink in a little bit, because I think

0:39

a lot of times we really clearly stay inside our comfort zone.

0:45

I really think that most of us need to spend more time in discomfort.

0:51

Like David Goggins says, every single day seeking discomfort.

0:55

So with that said, I want to talk to you about something, but let

0:57

me ask you a couple of questions. Are you dealing with or struggling with something in your life right now?

1:05

Or are you, are you questioning your circumstances?

1:08

Maybe you're unsatisfied with the results that you're getting.

1:12

But overall, are there things that get you thinking at night, before you

1:17

go to bed, or during the day, that really make you question your life?

1:21

Your, what you're experiencing in this life.

1:24

Well, if you are, you're not alone. I want you to know that everyone, including myself, has been there

1:30

at one point in time in their life.

1:32

And maybe multiple times in their life. It's just part of life.

1:37

But the truth is, that your story, the thing you're telling yourself,

1:42

that journey that you think you're on, it's not just a story.

1:48

It is your framework for how you're going to live your life.

1:53

Because your story should fuel your growth rather than hold you back.

1:57

Unfortunately, many of us tell ourselves this story that's holding us back.

2:04

You know, these circumstances are bad. I don't have the right skills or talents.

2:08

This stuff always happens to me.

2:10

I got divorced. I got failure in business.

2:14

I'm having struggles with my kids. I'm doing Whatever those things are that you're talking about on a day to day

2:19

basis, the story of your life If you flip the script, it should actually fuel

2:26

your growth rather than hold you back.

2:29

Your story, if looked at the right way, can bring you so

2:33

many benefits in your life. It can help you and fuel you to create more.

2:38

Let me just give you some examples. Your story is proof.

2:42

That you can overcome any obstacle. See, how you look at things will determine how you use them in your life.

2:50

You might have gone through divorce, you might have gone through bankruptcy, you might have gone through failures in business, you

2:54

might have had problems in your life.

2:57

But if you look at it from the perspective of what you've been through, you can

3:02

take that and flip the script to be that you have the strength to get

3:06

through anything that you go through.

3:08

You can overcome any obstacle.

3:12

And that's something that's so, so important for you to realize you

3:15

do have the ability and strength. And so maybe you've got some obstacles in front of you.

3:19

You don't know if you can handle, but if you look at your story and you

3:23

remind yourself of the perspective that you've overcome many obstacles in

3:27

your life that you never thought you'd overcome, then your story becomes fuel.

3:31

Your story can also provide you with lessons that you learn and grow from.

3:36

So If you want to grow in your life and you want to go to the next level, you're

3:40

going to have to expand your knowledge. You're going to have to expand your strengths and the stuff that

3:45

you've been through your story. These are things that are going to help you to grow.

3:50

You need to go through those things. When you start to realize that failure is the gateway to success,

3:55

you're going to realize that your story has actually helped you.

3:58

Another thing you need to understand is that, and this is a tough one

4:01

sometimes in your life to realize, but Your story can inspire other

4:06

people to overcome their challenges.

4:10

You know, the things that you've been through are things that other

4:12

people are struggling with right now. And, you know, your mess can really truly become your message.

4:19

You've probably heard that before. Your story can be an inspiration to other people.

4:24

So when you take something that's difficult or hard or, you know, things

4:28

that have drained you or hurt you over time, And you flip the script on those

4:33

to be something that inspires others. All of a sudden, that story can become very empowering for you and your story

4:39

can create massive impact on the world.

4:42

And truly what you'll find over time in life is that if you want to be fulfilled,

4:46

you want to be happy, you want to feel like you're making a difference.

4:50

You've got to make some impact on the world and your story is one of

4:54

the biggest things that can do that. It's not about what you accomplish.

4:57

It's about what you've been through. It's about how you can help others to overcome the same thing.

5:02

You know, I remember back in business and I've got I got so

5:05

many so many stories of failure.

5:07

I can't even tell you. I think people think it's just like I'm on the gravy train of life

5:12

and they have no idea sometimes. The stuff I've gone through but I've had many situations in business I remember

5:18

one where I was doing just a phenomenal amount of business and by no fault of

5:23

my own You know I had a business partner that just kind of went off the deep

5:27

end and Because of that we lost a lot of business a lot of opportunity and I

5:32

had to shift in my life and I remember sitting back and looking at that situation

5:36

and Thinking man, this is it Everything I've done for the past, you know, seven

5:40

to ten years is all out the window.

5:43

It was all a waste of time. It was all something that I'll never get back.

5:47

And, you know, now in hindsight, it's like Wayne Dyer says, when you look back

5:50

on the tapestry of your life, you're going to have a different perspective.

5:54

And you're going to realize that that story empowered you.

5:56

And the truth of the matter is, I've gone on now to do 10 X more business

6:02

than I've ever done in that situation.

6:04

In that scenario, I've created the daily mastermind.

6:06

I've created more impact, the stories and lessons and growth that I've learned

6:11

from mentors all over the years have helped to inspire many other people, you

6:14

know, hundreds of thousands of downloads. Um, just of the mastermind, let alone business that I've worked on.

6:20

So the key is this. The key is learning to frame your story in the right perspective.

6:25

You have to learn to be proactive, to be this third

6:28

party that's crafting your story.

6:31

You ultimately do have the power to do this because you are the writer, the

6:35

director, the interpreter of your story.

6:39

You have that power. But like anything in life, you have to put some focus on it.

6:43

You have to decide to do that. You have to find time and you have to have intention with crafting the

6:48

story of your life and what it means.

6:51

So if you are ready to do that, let me give you a few things to

6:54

keep in mind when you start to look back at the tapestry of your life.

6:59

Number one, remind yourself that you're the creator of your story.

7:01

You create the story. Take responsibility.

7:04

Everything in your life that happened, happened because of you.

7:08

That's the facts. Stop putting it off on other people.

7:11

You are the creator. You are responsible.

7:13

You are the one that is creating your story.

7:16

And also your perspective on the story will drive how you create

7:21

and react to events in your life. Because if you consider yourself a certain way, you're going to react a certain way.

7:29

If you consider yourself in a positive light, in an abundant light, in something

7:34

that you feel you've learned and grown, Because you aren't that same person that

7:39

started going through that struggle. Then you will react to situations different in your life, and you're

7:44

going to create far more results than if you're still living inside your past.

7:49

And that's another thing I was going to mention. You are not your past.

7:52

I mean, just say that to yourself once in a while.

7:55

You are definitely not your past because even if you don't feel you've

7:59

grown, you've gotten through things. You're stronger.

8:01

You're better. You're more focused.

8:04

You're listening to this podcast. You're thinking about your story.

8:06

So you are not your past. You are, uh, an advanced version of yourself.

8:11

You're the best version of yourself right now. But the thing is, is you have to start focusing on.

8:19

Your future version of yourself, like we talked about earlier in

8:22

this week, the future version of yourself and what it is that you

8:26

want to do when you write your story. So you have to be able to learn to focus on your future self because

8:36

the chapters you're gonna write in your life are far more important,

8:39

far more important than the chapters that have already been written.

8:43

And remember, your focus Where your focus goes, energy goes, right?

8:47

So where your focus goes, you're going to create energy, good or bad.

8:51

If you're focused on the bad part of your life and your story

8:53

perspective, you're gonna create bad and attract bad into your life.

8:58

You know, it's like anything else when you're, when you're focused

9:00

on depression or the problems, you're going to have more of them.

9:03

That's just the way life works. If you haven't figured that out by now, you need to figure that out quick.

9:08

So where your focus and energy goes also remember and remind yourself, anything

9:12

is possible if you put your mind to it. Anything is possible.

9:16

Anything is possible. The possibilities are not based on your past story.

9:21

So learn to create your story and draft a story that works

9:25

in an empowering way for you. Just make the decision that your story is going to be an empowering story that

9:33

will drive you and fuel you to the future.

9:35

And learn to be, I love the analogy that, um, you know, uh, you know, a

9:40

past friend and partner of mine, um, Sean Whalen used to say, Learn to be a

9:45

lighthouse for others, not a tugboat. See, a lot of people are out there trying to pull people and

9:49

push people and create change.

9:52

But if you can just empower yourself with your story, you

9:54

can be a lighthouse for others. You can just be out there like a beacon, giving a message, living your life, and

10:01

it will be a lighthouse for other people. It will inspire other people.

10:04

So learn to be that. Be energy for others.

10:07

Don't drain other people of energy. And ultimately, I do believe it's never too late to start living the

10:12

life that you were meant to live. But your perspective and your story is going to determine the results.

10:17

It's just the way it is. So learn, accept, make the decision to create an empowering story.

10:26

Have your story of your life be the fuel that you get, the fuel

10:30

that you need to create that amazing future version of yourself.

10:34

Have that story of your life be so empowering that you live

10:39

your current present life. In your best state possible like Tony Robbins says a beautiful state

10:45

do that and you will see some major results Thanks for listening today.

10:49

That's a message I hope it inspires you to at least put some thought into your story

10:53

into your life how you can you know Use your mind and use your thoughts to create

10:57

the life and craft a life that you were hoping And should and deserve to live.
