Welcome to today's episode of The Freedom Sisters Podcast. We are discussing empathy and compassion. In this episode, we will delve into the story of Esther from the Old Testament and explore the theme of sharing sorrow. Specifically, we will look at how Esther felt compassion for her people in a time of great need. 

Esther was a Jewish queen who lived in Persia during the reign of King Ahasuerus. When the king's advisor, Haman, planned to kill all the Jews in the kingdom, Esther's cousin, Mordecai, urged her to intervene. Esther was initially hesitant, fearing for her own safety, but she eventually agreed to help.

We share deep insights about coming alongside others who are in pain and how we can show compassion and mercy to the world in need of a savior.
