The Heart of David is back. Not only do we have

0:02

the old classic selection, but we got a new drop called

0:04

Pray for Your Friends. The number one important thing God wants

0:06

us to do is love thy God with all of your

0:08

heart, but the second one is love thy neighbor. The best

0:10

way that you could love them is to pray for them.

0:14

This is my new favorite T-shirt. Church boy right here and

0:16

look at the bag, very clean, very nice. I'm not gonna

0:18

lie, I never really wear like white or cream style hoodies,

0:20

but this is just a vibe, dude. This is like, hey,

0:22

how you doing? I like you and I know you like

0:25

me, because I look good. If you like any of these

0:27

options, make sure you guys go to theheartofdavid.co or click the

0:29

link in my description. I love you guys, make sure you

0:31

get it before it's too late and it's gone and like

0:33

the sun, it's going away, hurry up. It

0:37

might be hard for the audience to understand this because when

0:39

you're in show business, they don't see the joke when you're

0:41

building it, they see the joke when it's ready to go.

0:43

But with those jokes come the actual real pain that you

0:46

go through. How do you deal with it? Cry? Uh,

0:49

drink? Really? You find

0:51

ways to deal. But that can't be healthy. It

0:53

can't, and it's not. Did you catch yourself drinking

0:55

a lot because of that? Yes, still. I still

0:57

deal with the situation of people coming into my

0:59

life and people leaving my life. A lot of

1:02

relationships are affected because we do this. And if

1:04

you're not careful, you know, people do

1:06

get hurt. There's

1:12

more often I sit down with somebody and they say

1:14

something that makes me think. Bro, this was great. I

1:16

love you guys. I love you guys. You give me

1:18

something to think about. I

1:20

had a lot of fun on this interview. You

1:23

should just have a show called Before We Get Started

1:25

and then every like five minutes say, listen, before we

1:27

get started, and it's just

1:29

an ongoing thing. Keep going, keep going with it. And

1:32

it's like, it's the best conversation ever. I know

1:34

what you mean, man. Hey, listen, so

1:36

before we get started, you

1:38

just keep going over and over. All

1:41

right, here we go. You roll? Okay,

1:43

what's up guys? Welcome back. Today I

1:45

have an amazing guest. I'm actually very,

1:47

very excited. We've worked together on Impulsive,

1:49

but I am really excited because

1:51

recently I just watched you, You

1:55

did like a surprise visit for Joe

1:57

Coy's show and he was performing at

1:59

the... Form by the way you walked into

2:01

the stadium like he was like have club

2:03

full of fifty people. Like the conference A

2:05

You walk into a stadium is insane But

2:08

I called Bell a comedian the right when

2:10

I was done watching users. When.

2:12

You walked out that what is the

2:14

form as a sixteen thousand people in

2:17

there. but it was the first time

2:19

I actually felt the ground shake type

2:21

of movement like people were losing their

2:24

minds that you showed up. My

2:26

first question is going from being inspired

2:29

by Eddie Murphy. As.

2:31

And going to walking on as

2:33

a guest to somebody elses arena

2:35

but having exam shake from excitement

2:38

like. What? Does that do your heart?

2:40

Do you still feel that when you walk out?

2:42

Does it all for sure. It's. It's

2:44

It's an awesome feeling and it's. One.

2:47

Of my favorite things to do is

2:49

is crashers show. Because it's

2:51

if for me that's more was more fun

2:53

it's it's more exciting as i oh my

2:55

god look of years it's that feeling times

2:57

a thousand. So it's like you know it's

3:00

like showing up at our at our family

3:02

reunion or somebody's house it but people at

3:04

know you. And you know

3:06

una? look who's here. It's

3:08

it's literally fell. look who's here and

3:10

it's but magnified like it just it's

3:12

It's literally ignore an arena full of

3:14

people. It's oh my god it's have

3:16

and so that for me as such

3:18

are awesome feeling As a don't get

3:20

me wrong when it when when I

3:22

do my shows it's if you know

3:24

it's Marshals on her shows but they

3:26

norm common. But. That x

3:29

a surprise. Ah man, that feels great.

3:31

Sense. Of a big surprise party ever s

3:33

is like ah. Like

3:35

a task. so

3:38

that for me that for me i love that's

3:40

why i love you know popping on shows and

3:42

stuff like that says i know that way that's

3:44

how i get my so i'd like to it

3:46

is fired are at cool and it's not our

3:48

and it's not a money thing yada it when

3:50

you when you doing it just but it's not

3:52

have a thing where you trying to get paid

3:54

is just a young come on and and and

3:56

hang out and have fun and it's literally having

3:58

fun so to walk out and and have people

4:00

react like that. That's an awesome feeling. Do

4:03

you feel like you do your best

4:05

performances when there's a surprise? Because there's

4:07

less pressure and so you're kind of

4:09

coming in into it like this is

4:11

a fun experience. There's kind of no

4:13

pressure if I disappoint anybody and

4:15

then you get that response so it gives you that extra

4:17

confidence. There is literally no pressure and all

4:19

it is, it's just bliss. It's just like

4:22

you're getting hit with everything and I'm

4:24

only doing a few minutes so I don't have to do an

4:27

hour, hour and a half, two hours. It's

4:29

literally 10 to 15 minutes and

4:32

it just came by to say

4:34

hi. Yeah, comments work out that

4:36

way. They work out their material. Are you working on

4:38

new material when you do that or are you coming

4:40

in with your best? Well,

4:42

I don't want to practice on 16,000 people so

4:45

if I'm only up there for a few minutes I'm going

4:47

to do something real. I'm going to

4:50

say hi but I'm going to, you know,

4:52

I'll do some real material. So take me

4:54

back. You started doing stand-up quite

4:57

some time ago. I know you've been in the industry for 25 years

5:00

now. When you first

5:02

started you needed to side hustle and you were

5:04

digging ditches. Who

5:07

are you digging ditches for? I know that's

5:09

random. I have to add. You

5:11

were side hustling for the cartel. What's going on?

5:13

What are you doing? We all have a past.

5:17

No, at the time I was working

5:19

for a cell phone company called LA

5:21

Cellular, like real

5:23

close by to here and I

5:27

had quit my job to pursue comedy

5:29

and I found out right away that

5:31

I wasn't doing enough to sustain

5:33

myself and so I needed

5:36

to do stuff to just make money

5:38

to pay real quick money but I

5:40

didn't want to commit to something because I had

5:42

been offered a chance to be a foreman because

5:45

I was working selling cell phones inside of

5:48

a Home Depot type store and so I met

5:50

this man who had his own business and he

5:52

goes, hey, you're really good with people. You're bilingual.

5:56

I would love to hire you and send you to

5:58

school to run my business. He goes that

6:00

cut off for you and he put it out there, you

6:03

know, he's gonna pay me very well But

6:05

it was one of those things where I told him I go I

6:08

really want to be a comedian and and if

6:10

I do that, I can't she's like let me out of the bag. I Said

6:15

I want to be a comedian and he didn't get

6:18

it But

6:20

it was one of those things It was one of those things

6:22

where when I quit the job and

6:24

I needed money I called him and he goes oh so you want

6:27

to be a foreman after all? I go. No, I need it I

6:29

need some something where I could just make

6:31

some quick cash. Yeah, he goes the only thing I

6:33

have Yes, the only thing

6:35

I have is You know

6:37

digging digging holes and trenches and stuff like that with

6:39

the guys he goes, but that's that's beneath you man

6:42

You can't be doing that. I go I need money

6:44

and so give me a shovel and next thing I know I'm out

6:47

there freaking And then

6:49

the guys out there giving me shit. They're like, you

6:51

know, they're telling me in Spanish. Oh, yeah, too Took

6:54

a blessing less. You're like, yeah, I speak English. They're

6:56

like Why are

6:58

you here they could not they could not

7:00

understand why I spoke English and why I

7:02

was legal and Wanted

7:04

to dig ditches and they're like what they're just scratching

7:06

their heads and like it's they're like well post for that

7:09

No, no, so not pizza order us a pizza since

7:11

you speak English. I'm like you

7:13

know, but I had to do

7:15

that because I did not want to commit to a job I

7:18

had already quit my day job to pursue Comedy and

7:20

I just needed cash and so they did this

7:22

at the time. I was God

7:25

what 20? What does it look

7:27

like back in that day when you're trying to do comedy because

7:29

nowadays it's I feel like comics

7:31

are they don't know how easy they have it

7:33

I Will be one for an

7:35

example like bro I could post a video and get thousands

7:37

of people to see what I'm doing or where I'm gonna

7:39

be It's kind of cheating a little bit

7:41

compared to like how people used to like really run their

7:43

hours So how are you at a 20 year old? Like

7:45

how did you want to run and go as a 20

7:48

year old? I didn't have the

7:50

tools that that comics have today So

7:52

there was no social media. You didn't

7:54

have a phone where you could just

7:56

you know Record yourself and post the video if you wanted

7:58

to record yourself you had to have a

8:01

camcorder, a video recorder, like, you

8:03

know. Yeah, like the one your mom and dad

8:05

comes out with. You had to know somebody, like,

8:08

that was the big thing back then. Oh, I

8:10

got a friend that shoots weddings. Oh, really? If

8:13

you could find a wedding dude, that was the

8:15

ultimate bad guy. That's your guy right there. That's

8:18

your guy. So you needed to find a

8:20

wedding guy that shoots videos and that had

8:22

the machine that they could put text on

8:24

the screen. You don't realize how, like, and

8:26

you thought that shit was crazy. When you

8:28

could get your name, really they'll put your

8:31

name on the text on the screen, and

8:33

not captions, but just your name. Like,

8:35

yeah. And then for bookings, I'm gonna make that.

8:37

Please, for bookings. And then, you know, so back

8:39

then, it's like, God, you really, first

8:41

of all, you had to talk to people. You

8:44

had to be good at making calls.

8:46

That's funny. Nice. I did

8:48

that with my mind. What do you do,

8:51

do you hand out flyers? Yes, you

8:53

had to, oh, you had to make

8:55

friends with an artist, somebody who could make flyers. Because

8:57

back in the day, when I was 20, the

8:59

big thing was robes, nightclubs,

9:03

going, you know, everybody was throwing parties. Were

9:05

you at raves? I was

9:07

not. That was not my thing. Okay. I

9:09

would love to see you at a rave. No, no, I went

9:11

to one. It was a one and done. I'm like, this is

9:13

not for me. I hate this. I'm going on. It

9:16

became a wave. Like, okay, I'll see you guys later. A

9:18

rave was a wave. But yeah,

9:20

back then, we didn't have any of the

9:22

tools of now, so it was very challenging.

9:24

You had to, again, make phone

9:26

calls. Remember people's names. You had to

9:28

write names down, you know,

9:31

follow up, make a phone call.

9:33

You didn't text. That wasn't an

9:35

option. You had to make a phone call.

9:38

And then you'd have to have

9:40

people vouch for you. That was the credit

9:43

back then. If you can get somebody

9:45

to call on your behalf, hey, listen. I got

9:47

this friend of mine. He's really funny. He's kind

9:49

of shy. He's going to go out

9:51

there and just give him five minutes. You'll see.

9:54

Having somebody call for you was huge back then,

9:56

and that's how you would get your foot in

9:58

the door in places. You needed to know. somebody

10:00

that knew somebody and nowadays it's

10:02

that's you know you don't just

10:05

get your phone it's like whatever do you miss

10:07

that type of day it's different I

10:09

do miss the the

10:12

connections you would have with people because it

10:15

was more so face-to-face there's a real relationship

10:17

it was a real relationship you

10:19

know and I think that things

10:21

come so easy to us on our phones that a lot

10:23

of times it's like okay I'll get back

10:26

to whenever or you know you leave somebody on the

10:28

red and you don't realize like some people take like

10:30

oh my god you left me on like it's

10:32

just back then I feel like

10:34

it was a lot of you were connected better

10:37

yeah social media made it less so and

10:40

I wish I could go back in those days because

10:42

like now you go to parties or events and every

10:44

was just on their phone nobody even cares about talking

10:46

to me yeah to me I grew up with the

10:48

Middle Eastern dad that's like how

10:51

he learned English was at Home Depot

10:53

talking to everybody like he would talk

10:55

to every single way hurt up

10:57

so you're not Mexican I'm not I

10:59

just put it up for the day I

11:02

grew up in Arizona I grew up

11:06

in Arizona so I was surrounded by

11:08

Spanish people and they the way you

11:10

guys are raised and the way we're

11:12

raised is very very much almost the

11:14

same stay out of trouble don't talk to

11:16

your mom and dad with any attitude like we would have that

11:19

common ground we would watch our white friends talk to their parents

11:21

and then just be like there's no way there's

11:23

no way my mom watched my friend talk to

11:25

his mom one day and I wasn't allowed to

11:27

hang out at their house anymore because

11:29

she was like you know that's a bad example

11:31

my neighborhood would always tell their kids well what does

11:34

mrs. janko say about that you go listen to her

11:36

and then she should set the rules so everybody would

11:38

hate me because my mom was paranoid but that's I

11:40

don't know if that's how was your relationship with your

11:42

mom I had the best relationship

11:44

with my mom my mom was just everything

11:46

so there was not a whole lot of

11:49

arguing and back and forth I

11:52

loved it very much but you know there are

11:54

those times especially when you're going through the hormonal

11:56

changes the 10 11 12 and then you know

12:00

You 16 17 18 where you you

12:02

know, it's just you're running on different hormones

12:04

And so there was a couple times where

12:06

I got a little louder than I should

12:08

have Felt

12:11

bad immediately. So, you know, like I

12:13

never I can honestly say I never

12:15

got disciplined as a kid Physically

12:18

so there was I never got hit

12:20

with a belt hit with a shoe, you know, everybody

12:23

has those stories Oh, man, I pissed on my mom

12:25

and you know back in the day cuz back in

12:27

the day It was like it was on yeah, it

12:29

was the Wild West, you know but um My

12:32

mom whenever she would get quiet that

12:34

would scare me Because I'd hear

12:36

stories from my brother and my sisters and

12:38

my brother Yeah,

12:41

my brother and sisters they they made

12:43

it very clear that like a don't

12:45

cross mom and they're like

12:47

you have a different Mom than we did.

12:49

Are you the baby? Yes, they're like,

12:52

you know, she listens to you, you

12:54

know She caters to you. She didn't cater

12:56

to us and it's just like oh, sorry

13:00

Thanks for taking over the team so I could live

13:02

this life, you know, but we were you know, we

13:04

had a great great connection

13:07

You know again, she was my hero. It was

13:10

just my mom and I so my siblings were

13:12

all grown up and out of the house By

13:14

the time I showed up. There's a huge gap

13:16

Oh what a different for those years So I

13:18

remember living with my sister for a little bit

13:20

and then she was gone doing her own thing

13:23

And so it was just my mom and I saw it's like almost being an

13:25

only child So I got all the attention. It was great and

13:27

I didn't fight with her a whole lot But

13:29

I knew better and then my mom

13:31

would always point out people in the neighborhood that were doing

13:34

things that weren't good Yeah, don't be like

13:36

that. Don't be like that. Don't be like that. Don't

13:38

be like that. What made you listen? I Don't

13:41

know. I guess maybe there was a little bit of fear, you

13:44

know, cuz my mom I'd see how my mom would

13:46

talk to other people But she

13:48

wouldn't do that to me if things

13:50

weren't going right. Yeah, and I'm like, okay

13:53

So you saw that side of her a little bit and you're

13:55

like, I don't want to get there. We're good We're friends. We

13:57

have something good going on because it was a rough neighborhood

13:59

that we lived and we lived right in the

14:01

corner. And so she would tell

14:03

me when I go outside, you stay where I can

14:05

see you, okay? You stay where I can see you.

14:07

And so she would sit in the window and she

14:10

would like crochet or whatever the hell she was doing up there. And

14:13

I'd go out and play in the street and stuff like

14:15

that. And if she saw me talking to somebody that looked

14:17

sketch. Hey, get inside, palmetto.

14:19

And I'm like, okay, all right. Well,

14:22

my mom always spoke loud. So I

14:24

never felt like yelling because, you know,

14:27

because she was just loud. But when I saw

14:29

her get upset with somebody, that's

14:31

when it's like, hmm, all right. Let's not

14:34

get her there. Was she a

14:36

fan of you doing comedy? She

14:38

was, how can I put it? When

14:42

I told her what I wanted to do, her

14:44

whole thing was, I want you to be

14:46

happy. That's all she would say.

14:48

I want you to be happy. I don't get

14:50

it, but I want you to be happy. When

14:53

I did comedy in the beginning, she

14:55

thought it was cool because it was like a hobby.

14:59

Oh, he's doing something he enjoys. That's

15:01

nice. That's how he spends his free

15:03

time. He's doing something that's positive. Not

15:07

like, you know, I didn't have a crazy

15:09

bad habit. You know what I mean? But I still had

15:11

my job. Now when I

15:13

quit my job, oh, I heard it. I

15:16

heard it. Are you literally snoring me? Dude,

15:18

I heard this. I was like, snoring. I thought it was

15:21

Belle. I was like, Belle, why are you breathing? I kept

15:23

trying to go like this. Like, bro, get your nose out

15:25

of the mic, bro. I can hear you breathing. But

15:27

that's so funny that it's your daughter. Did

15:29

you practice a lot of your jokes on your

15:32

mom when you were growing up? Like, was she

15:34

your audience? No, absolutely not. Absolutely

15:36

not. That woman was the toughest

15:39

crowd. And again, she didn't want

15:41

me to pursue this as a career.

15:43

She thought it was OK for a hobby. But

15:46

her whole thing was, you have a real

15:48

job that pays you very well. Because when I

15:50

worked for a cell phone company, I

15:53

was paid very well. I mean, you know, I was working

15:55

on commission and sales, selling cell phones back

15:58

in the day. It was, I Mean. I

16:00

would kill on it. Nineteen.

16:03

Ninety Seven are selling for our

16:05

pride in about five km month.

16:09

Five km month fellow. Right now I

16:11

don't have an idea to it as

16:13

a as a you know, Up

16:16

and get to see girls Twenty years old. My

16:18

rent was a half my rent because I shared

16:20

on the part more the with a friend. my

16:22

rent was like three fifty four hundred bucks a

16:24

month and then I had a carnal in in

16:26

insurance and so everything up as that doesn't just

16:29

eating out every night this was where you are.

16:31

we could go eat. Illness rather work

16:33

on commission on my else. Really good at

16:35

selling As to sell, you're lucky there's no

16:37

post mates back in the day. Bravado Destroy

16:39

just said I was. A best part about

16:41

first started get a paycheck when you're young

16:43

winger teenager was to be able to go

16:45

to restaurants because personally like my mom she

16:47

never let us eat out like ever saw

16:50

as are to go home theater although he

16:52

got myself some good snacks. Outside is. A. failure

16:56

of leaders right they face or I

16:58

remember what out to or I would

17:00

go to liquid mall and all that

17:03

have the i remember. Telling.

17:05

Myself Odds cool Eat up a mod the

17:07

food court as a but one day I'm

17:09

gonna be able to eat at the restaurants

17:11

that are outside of a mall. in on

17:13

that same Eric the like the had us

17:15

or Mimi's cafe they had a black angus

17:17

unless I always wanted to get up black

17:19

angus the first time we ever did. oh

17:21

god what when it when I was something

17:24

cell phones while some self man hours i

17:26

felt like I was ballance I remember when

17:28

he males you were physicists and worth it

17:30

out So I want to Wilson's House of

17:32

Swayed and I bought myself a leather jacket

17:34

and like a trenchcoat leather. And

17:36

you could smell ever walked. it's smell

17:38

it and I had like the lining

17:40

it was bad as to have it

17:42

is a real nice jacket on but

17:44

yeah I was doing that so when

17:46

i quit that job my mom. My.

17:48

Mom slipped out because she's like you have

17:51

a. Great. Job that pays

17:53

you very well. You have insurance.

17:55

You. No one's ever had like we have grow

17:58

by things on signal or whatever. The insurance. Is

18:00

that a plane or that they will provide

18:02

for us on. my mom made it a

18:04

big deal about the insurance she goes. You

18:06

have no idea how lucky you are and

18:08

it's not regulars are you? I was ppl

18:11

like the best gets dental. I just got

18:13

my some braces ah and so my mom

18:15

was very upset with me. She thought that

18:17

I was. I was making a huge

18:19

mistake by quitting my job to pursue comedy

18:22

so she's not think I was funny and

18:24

see that not think I was making a

18:26

good choice and and is in the her

18:28

scissors the years the your family doesn't believe

18:30

in is is that like. Or does

18:32

that make you want to prove it more? It.

18:35

Didn't hurt, I just felt like she

18:37

didn't really understand. Or.

18:39

Maybe she did because my father was a

18:42

Mariachi, my father was an entertainer, my father

18:44

was a touring act my fault and that's

18:46

how she met my. but she met my

18:48

dad at a nightclub. Let's. Go, you

18:50

know? And so maybe she understood too

18:52

much and just didn't tell me. Maybe.

18:55

She just didn't want me to go down

18:57

that road because you know for my dad

18:59

were no longer together. There were no longer

19:01

a thing and I don't know but but

19:03

she didn't She never laughed at my comedy

19:05

on stage but I could make her last

19:07

and as you know in the room. Yes,

19:10

She's she's maybe didn't necessarily want you

19:12

to just not make people laugh. She

19:14

probably was worried because you know that

19:16

the industry's toss. That's what I mean.

19:18

Guess. So knowing that the industry's toss.

19:21

let's get into that because you've been

19:23

in this game for twenty five years

19:25

at the highest level possible. Legit Dodger

19:27

Stadium. Be the first and only comedians

19:29

ever do that. Beatles had a hard

19:31

time doing that. That's. Ridiculous

19:33

to say this. saw like are making up.

19:35

What? You've got going on here. lights

19:38

are you go from. You

19:40

know, working very hard having of like

19:42

roommate splitting three fifty for read. To.

19:46

The success that you are now. How do you

19:48

keep your heart the same? How to keep humble?

19:50

How to keep grounded? How do you put up

19:52

your boundaries? Because when I met you immediately I

19:54

told that idol he's down to earth and he

19:56

still has his heart and that to me is

19:59

the best compliment. The give a man

20:01

because I met very, very good men.

20:03

Great men fall to decide The stuff

20:05

now because they wanted to is because

20:07

their environment broke them so many times

20:09

they become bitter, angry, or prideful. It's

20:12

a very slippery slope Howard is: you

20:14

manage to keep yourself. Where. You're

20:16

at as he got a luck had a lot

20:18

to do that and having the. The.

20:20

Upbringing and I'm like or the way that

20:22

I was raised by my mom and it

20:24

says it will again. We go back. that

20:26

conversation before we we got started about you

20:28

know, religion and what you believe in and

20:30

just the way you you should be. Just

20:32

treat people well, be nice to people. It's

20:34

harder to be a dick, you gotta go

20:36

out or your way to be an asshole.

20:38

So much easier to just. Be. Nice.

20:41

You know I am a reactive person so I'll

20:43

give a person or a chance and then freaking

20:46

you know her if of if need be by.

20:48

So I told Bell I'm a bully to bullies.

20:50

If you're ever going to come at me or

20:52

but you back I just don't like to start

20:54

at Olive. Finishing at the yeah would think you

20:57

just wasn't I've managed shortly ago and I was

20:59

gonna watch you guys throughout our morning I decided

21:01

to buy yourself but today we want to just

21:03

focus on to things that are very very important.

21:05

A lot of people and really high thing about

21:08

why raise this issue: Missile fired by law to

21:10

start my day with too little droppers. Of this

21:12

in my oranges. Super easy. An important source

21:14

of people to see. Courses for pre workout

21:16

alexa include the lies mean just because I

21:19

want to focus to after I'm done with

21:21

the gym and I'm in the steam room

21:23

I got my workout and but also to

21:25

sit there and meditate focus on things that

21:27

I need to get done that it is

21:30

amazing. Honestly city see for yourself just to

21:32

get yourself your on opponent for on and

21:34

a done already for the death if you

21:36

don't want to do to videogames I do

21:38

recommend A Mile Accept but I get it,

21:40

it's a lot. Maybe. Overwhelming. So if you

21:43

wanna start with course that in mind

21:45

when you are more than welcome to

21:47

my friend, start your day little bit

21:49

focus and energized leaders under description: Skeleton

21:51

it was the other arm but as

21:53

far as maintaining, ah. I

21:56

guess I I've been my mind. It's like I

21:58

still haven't gotten there yet and. I keep

22:00

telling myself that sounds like you know and also

22:02

to the the people you have to keep you

22:05

know because it once you once you tell yourself

22:07

that you have achieved it. You. Stop

22:09

working for it. You stop. Or

22:11

you stop pushing, you, stop trying to grow

22:13

because you're like welcome here a meter across

22:16

Vincent. So. You you got always constructed

22:18

continues the key you know. Keep saying to yourself,

22:20

aren't we? We got a city we got if

22:22

you've grown, gotta keep on moving. And if you're

22:24

still move and you wanna make sure that your

22:27

i'm. You. Know you, you

22:29

don't burn bridges. A burning

22:31

bridges as is a as a terrible thing to

22:33

do and I think a lot of people just

22:35

get to certain place and they forget the road

22:38

that took. Together. Yeah

22:40

I know right we say you guys wanted

22:42

to do the interview here just for that

22:44

goes through areas is greater thorns. You can

22:47

have your dog snoring. Those are the of

22:49

I guess the company next door. they clean.

22:51

I'm. They

22:53

clean my fork lifts and and contain of

22:55

contractors type of quip big equipment sense or

22:57

another pie cleaning a fork lift or for

23:00

another job as powerful as I know. They're

23:02

doing an interview about it. a success and

23:04

was crazy like it's a thick wall and

23:06

then there's a second wall of the parking

23:08

lots of until imagine how wow that is.

23:10

So the guys are sexually clear. They must

23:12

near La Power for those big you know, the

23:14

thick. Forklifts is a. Set.

23:17

Speaking of. Of up with answer the

23:19

question or I'll a my mind I'll all this

23:21

can go we tomorrow. And.

23:23

If all this goes way to more than what do you have.

23:27

Now and I feel like I would have

23:29

the relationships that are made with people. In

23:31

all I'd still be able to talk to

23:33

everybody even I don't have anything. I was

23:35

nice to people, I was cool with people

23:37

and so whether this is here or it's

23:39

not your I can still go back to

23:42

to whoever I was in all. Before

23:44

this united edges, it's one of those things

23:46

where I'd I'd never want to forget. And

23:49

I'm always talking to people and

23:52

I'm always like, for example, maintaining

23:54

relationships from before. Comedy. You

23:56

know, the still a couple people after that new me from

23:58

way back when and I think those. Are the

24:00

people that really keep me grounded?

24:03

And I'm like, okay, I still have that connection to

24:05

the past. Like. They're. Still

24:07

amazing because those are the important things in my

24:09

son. So many people I see like have to

24:11

you know kind of not not realize that and

24:13

they have the fall and you know they have

24:15

to learn the hard way and you know prioritize

24:18

the wrong things and and be alone and and

24:20

realize that whole wow I should have really taken

24:22

the time to realize it was partner for the

24:24

mean. Also. A big you gotta from

24:26

his mom because your mom was making you

24:29

observe other people's behaviors such a young age.

24:31

realize okay this guy. so because of his

24:33

ego so you probably like I'm not gonna

24:35

I'm gonna stay away from that because you

24:38

your first as in Euro. In

24:40

your line of life. Like. You're. The one

24:42

the other your family that made it the

24:44

industry at the level your have so there's

24:46

a lot of new things that nobody could

24:48

kind of guide you in. some yeah there's

24:50

definitely no manual or or instructions on to

24:52

you know doing any of this like seriously

24:54

was one of those things were like wow

24:56

like okay he was it will move over

24:58

the plan with there was no plan you

25:00

know there was little you know plan for

25:03

any of this and ah I was just

25:05

lucky that. I was

25:07

able to. I'm. Not

25:09

only below a comic. What? I was able

25:11

to. Not get to stew and as

25:13

fun as a not get too stupid as were

25:15

sitting in a building full of cars. Are

25:19

not on? Been on. A.

25:24

Lot more of this I never

25:27

got a role for. Never learned

25:29

gets was were very detailed as.

25:33

A soda wanted salaries they allow

25:36

says yo see? I mean really

25:38

my humble know so. How

25:42

did your mom feel once he started? Like getting

25:44

old as success and you know things are

25:46

to change in your life. My. My

25:49

mom knew that. When. I

25:51

was doing asked you know once I showed

25:53

her then she and she got it like

25:55

oh he's good at this is she still

25:57

win Last of the jokes though. She

26:00

the Haider one at one of those. One of

26:02

the jokes early on that I had about my

26:04

mom was how she doesn't get it in like

26:06

Apple's i don't get it doubles as the I

26:08

even had bumper stickers that I would sell at

26:10

the shows that that would say i don't get

26:12

it and that was there was a other things

26:14

and I'd someone for like two bucks and on

26:16

my age because by the bumper to bumper stickers

26:18

and will take my mom to eat without money

26:20

says this is a decide so all my stickers

26:23

or a mom look at this peyton me solemn

26:25

is bumper sticker. That's why we're a Sizzler success

26:27

as I revert were it's as little as three

26:29

days in a row. Or my mom was just like I

26:31

could get used to. There's not much. Use

26:33

of is hop a subset of so

26:36

as well as. Well

26:38

okay so users is a career in

26:40

a to assume that a better like

26:43

find his voice. When did you find

26:45

your voice. I think

26:47

once I started ah because in the beginning

26:49

was his characters voices impressions. that's all I

26:51

did was you didn't know anything about you

26:54

just knew that I could go up there

26:56

and I could just do impressions and sound

26:58

effects and I was very animated and souls

27:00

or not funny but you to really know

27:02

anything about me And so I remember how

27:04

I did one job where I talked about.

27:07

Ah, dancing. At.

27:09

A club. And. I says i'll

27:11

I'll only dance with big girls ah so

27:13

that we finish at the same time week

27:16

and then I did a bit you know

27:18

was his sentence and and I remember got

27:20

a laugh on unlike was the first time

27:22

of actually. Said. Something about

27:24

me and then I. I did a story but

27:26

my mom. And. That was like

27:28

the first Homework A Broke that wall have

27:30

just been characters and sound effects and actually.

27:33

Having some substance there and what

27:35

I learned to do was just

27:38

tell stories but still incorporate all

27:40

the things that made me ah

27:42

like made it entertaining. So.

27:44

Instead of just telling a story about oh yes

27:46

oh there was when I ran into this girl.

27:48

She was really fun. ah nice than I would

27:51

change that and then a be like yes around

27:53

the this girl and she's like oh my god

27:55

Seriously so automatically you're selling story but now you're

27:57

painting a picture. So I was doing all the.

28:00

Voices in a person's and everything and then

28:02

still talking about real things. that since that's

28:04

amazing I thought this whole time Robin Williams

28:06

mans like can inspired you to do impersonations

28:08

because I know he was somebody the Robin

28:10

Williams doesn't He was one of the inspirations

28:12

I remember watching Live at the Met when

28:14

I was a kid. Robin

28:17

Williams. I had watched it as it's a good

28:19

one and. And one thing about him is that. I

28:22

love the house. He could entertain you

28:24

and he could also. Get.

28:26

You emotional. In other some

28:28

comics, little make you think that that's a

28:31

case. Okay look for example, cardinals really good

28:33

at making think Robin Williams could actually make

28:35

you feel something other than that of the

28:38

humor and he would tell the stories about

28:40

his son and I'm like wow you could

28:42

feel those moments and an end in early

28:44

and obviously you could see when when when

28:47

you do movies and he do drama. He

28:49

was really really good at that and I

28:51

liked that he could make himself vulnerable. And.

28:55

That. Was one of those things to words like? Or let

28:57

me let me put some. But. Some real stuff

28:59

out there and see how this goes. And

29:01

it is just a felt good. it felt

29:03

good to open up about certain things. On

29:06

states and people can relate to that. A

29:09

lot of comics use on comedy for

29:11

like a way to express themselves through pain

29:13

is that deep? Do you see yourself

29:15

as well? Absolutely really. Absolute. Now have you

29:17

found a better way to express yourself

29:19

though besides Com and I've tried therapy, I've

29:21

actually gone to sit there and pay

29:23

my freaking to fifty for the our city

29:26

feel about that. In. The beginning.

29:28

I'm just like our guy. I thought

29:30

it was the biggest waste of time.

29:33

I x one wanted us to go

29:35

to or do some couples therapy Now

29:37

just like a split try to has

29:39

things sixty six our situation and are

29:42

I thought that therapy was was. Showing.

29:45

Weakness and I didn't like that. I

29:47

didn't like that I would be. You. Know wanting

29:49

to be vulnerable to one another person. It's

29:51

another thing when you bring in a stranger

29:53

and now you're you're exposing your staying right

29:55

here. And it's is. It felt like ah,

29:58

I didn't like it. I've

30:02

little different level of owner Bill: yes it

30:04

is and you pay them shit. So

30:10

once we started doing couples therapy

30:12

it was like ri Okay, I'm.

30:14

I see it, I get it. And then we broke

30:17

up. And. I continue

30:19

to see the therapist by myself. And

30:22

after a while it became a thing where

30:24

I'm like okay, ah it it in I'd

30:26

walk out. Other more than anything it showed

30:29

me how to ask myself questions. To.

30:31

Their selection, You know? Size.

30:34

I thought it was a very good thing.

30:36

I still prefer the stage lot more fun

30:38

but having somebody you know see what how

30:40

does that make you feel They have you

30:42

stop to think about and that was her

30:45

all her think have you stopped to think

30:47

about how and I'm like oh my god

30:49

like you know have more issues than I

30:51

thought. As a citizen I always have a

30:53

low know. See feel like a gave you

30:55

new tools to be able to handle conflict

30:57

or situations in your life or. I

31:00

feel like it showed me how to listen better. Because.

31:03

I feel like I was always. You know,

31:05

because I was doing what I was doing.

31:07

Like. How can I be wrong? How

31:10

can I be wrong? Look. Look

31:12

at what you know. Look at what we're

31:14

We're we're at what's going on, What's with

31:16

our air. It's if I'm wrong, the it's

31:18

really I'm wrong. So. I didn't

31:21

I didn't see it. I'm like no I'm

31:23

not wrong because if this is wrong I

31:25

don't have your i think you that if

31:27

that's one of those things but you know

31:29

a it was possible to still. Be.

31:33

The wrong way or say the wrong thing

31:35

you know he at i had a really

31:37

does take a step back and allow myself

31:39

to go are at maybe I'm not always

31:41

right and that's a hard thing to do

31:44

Some added checked myself and I sought like

31:46

that's why I you know. I.

31:48

Do appreciate yes Hi!

31:52

This is the sole reason why have

31:54

like dogs. They're the beautiful

31:56

because they love you unconditionally Care

31:58

if he's think. They don't care what you know

32:00

what you say or do at the end of a days long as

32:02

you. Make. Them feel safe and

32:05

comfortable. They love you and I can

32:07

learn a lot from that. sometimes. Silence.

32:10

Is. This is okay. Now they

32:12

give you like security and guess. Silence

32:14

being okay. was that a problem for you back in the

32:16

day? It was because always fall

32:18

actor needed to be something there. You

32:21

know who who taught me that? I don't need to do that.

32:25

Matthew Perry was an interview and he

32:27

said. I. Realized one day that I don't

32:29

always have to make people laugh. And.

32:31

I felt like. If I wasn't doing that,

32:33

if I was quiet, I feel like I'm rude. And.

32:36

I'm like being disrespectful or as the uncomfortable

32:38

nature is like. God gave me the ability

32:40

to not make this uncomfortable so all do

32:42

that. I remember I was an elevator with

32:44

unwanted I was upset and I sat there

32:46

quiet in there was. People. Elevator and

32:48

do when I'm not one person said anything.

32:51

It was the first time of wrote an

32:53

elevator. Where. I didn't talk to any but

32:55

like it's I couldn't believe the other people are okay

32:57

just sitting there not talking and it was so weird

32:59

to me the how could you stand next to a

33:01

stranger not get to know him. So it's only I

33:03

don't like. people don't normally talk in elevators a

33:06

like you always talk of. State are you.

33:09

Might as well as and are not like

33:11

getting a novel is is that it's are

33:13

the odds those the I've always been like

33:15

that at how do you are at you

33:17

manage to cause like it is Might be

33:19

hard for the audience to understand this because

33:21

when you're in show business rights they only

33:23

see. What? You want them to see the

33:26

they don't see the joke when you're building it,

33:28

They see the joke when it's ready to go.

33:30

But. With those jokes com the actual real

33:32

pain that you go through the industry is

33:35

so toss man you to lose friends, you

33:37

to lose our people the you bro bread

33:39

with there's people that you look at in

33:41

the eyes of the your my brother for

33:43

life and now he's gone and you have

33:45

no idea how that even got there because

33:47

you realize you're an industry that you have

33:50

to delegate with other people's egos. prides their

33:52

their relationship. The way they deal with things

33:54

in their home is not Yours is leggings,

33:56

there's there's so many things I could break

33:58

your heart. What what? Women. That happens everyday.

34:00

How do you do with it? Cry.

34:05

Drink Really? Really? Because like that I don't

34:07

I'm not joking. A smoke from the numbers

34:09

of over a year you find ways to

34:11

to deal and then can be held a.

34:13

Cat it and it's not. It's. Not

34:16

ah, you know, This

34:19

You catch yourself drinking a lot of the that?

34:21

Yes still are you. Are you still drinking. actively.

34:24

Why? Rodrigo time. Really gonna have a but.

34:26

I mean you know used to be social

34:28

but I mean it's not like us. Ah.

34:31

Mckenzie. You. Know

34:33

due to cope so much anymore? No. No,

34:35

I don't I don't But I still

34:37

swimmers as low as still deal with

34:39

the situation of people coming into my

34:42

life and people coming and going leaving

34:44

my life and that's that's still happens

34:46

and it's again. You know it's a

34:48

lot of relationships are affected because we

34:50

do this because it's a it's. You

34:53

know it's this. Show Business is

34:55

is crazy. It really is. It's in

34:57

and if you're not careful a new

34:59

people do get hurt or feel you

35:01

didn't know. And. This could

35:03

just be from my observation because this is what happened

35:05

to me. I didn't know how deep the rabbit hole

35:07

this. And I think this is

35:10

the reason why good people fall is I've

35:12

seen really really good like and Susie as

35:14

dig loving people just get burned so many

35:16

times that they're like okay, this is how

35:18

I have to act and beat in and

35:21

behave for me to get respect from people.

35:23

So how do you become the light of

35:25

the room and still respectful but also put

35:27

up your boundaries saying like I'm not gonna

35:29

leave you but if you cross this line

35:32

you're leaving me. It's It's really hard because

35:34

I feel like I've I've been really bad

35:36

at setting boundaries. I've been

35:38

really, really bad at setting boundaries because

35:40

you know it's it's hard to say

35:42

no. It. Is hard to say

35:45

know especially to people that you love and

35:47

care about. Hum when

35:49

they see how things are going.

35:52

There. Is a sense

35:54

of entitlement. Amongst the people

35:56

around you and. It's

35:58

hard to tell him hey, this is. This

36:00

is our am sharing some of this with you

36:03

but it's. It's. Not. You know, all

36:05

available to you and that's how do they

36:07

forget this in and it's it's It's really

36:09

hard to establish that because and once you

36:11

start showing them that you're trying to build

36:13

a boundary all of a sudden your the

36:16

problem. You're the asshole, your the you know

36:18

and then you're like known or that's not

36:20

what I'm trying to say. I is just

36:22

that. in and then you question your software

36:24

like am I the ah So should this

36:27

be forever? But what am I know. Yeah.

36:30

Sure you could bar thirty two k

36:32

gas. Not gonna save us and others.

36:34

success. Sisters you

36:36

don't want is no bad guy. You don't want

36:38

to be the bad guys. You know you're not

36:40

a black guy. I understand everything you're saying. I

36:42

know and what was the first like boundary that

36:45

you're like. Okay, know you're having difficulty setting boundaries,

36:47

but I'll give an example or I will use

36:49

your family as one of them because that's how

36:51

you could. Not a brown shops practice at home

36:53

and then you use it everywhere else. There was

36:55

a interview were saying that you're driving your car

36:57

He said is easy, never really struggled or. Work.

36:59

For something, how could you really appreciate? Absolutely okay.

37:02

And then you have a job or you talk

37:04

about your son being spoiled. Now. You

37:06

love your son. You don't want him to go

37:08

through the obstacles that you went through, but you

37:10

also don't want him to be a spoiled brat.

37:13

How did you set boundaries that?

37:15

that was a really difficult one?

37:17

Because ah, I

37:20

remember. Telling

37:22

my girl first got together you know because

37:24

I saw how hard she worked and and

37:27

the struggle was real and I said i

37:29

don't want us to have to struggle. And.

37:33

She understood she.it seems

37:35

fishy Wentworth. However, my

37:37

son didn't. He didn't He was too young

37:39

to really understand and see it and. Making.

37:43

Someone goes like how do you make your

37:45

your kid struggles me and are on sale

37:47

I've had enough. You can win something so

37:49

many. Yeah it's like say the of the

37:52

story don't work. They. Have

37:54

actually go through it and as environments

37:56

different. Know when your brothers and sisters

37:58

were saying hey, don't. Talk to Mom

38:00

when she gets quite a bubble. blah don't

38:02

cross at life You are still in their

38:04

environment, but if she's not in your environment,

38:06

he can't walk your pass. Did

38:09

you feel guilty that time that he walked in

38:11

and no shoes are just sitting there needs to

38:13

scuttle is a cool and you're like do you

38:15

have no idea. What? To feel like

38:17

to get these shoes that scare you

38:19

that you might have broke his like

38:21

eyes and lice. ah active I could

38:23

see it happening. Unfortunately because of how

38:25

much I was working it's like this

38:27

are I do I. Do

38:30

that woods our top. Do you understand

38:32

what needed to happen? In order for this to

38:34

be this way. You'll.

38:37

See. That substances oh

38:39

God. That's

38:41

that. That's why. Feel that. No

38:44

matter what, I feel like this generation

38:46

just won't. Ah will have. Everything

38:48

at their disposal. But.

38:52

They won't have. Struggled.

38:54

Struggled something that is gonna take it.

38:56

You don't just get cancer download it

38:58

means it's not me After experiencing go

39:00

through you gotta know what it's like

39:03

to fall on your face to hear

39:05

notice to claw your way to get

39:07

to a goal to want something bad

39:09

enough like of a bad as pair

39:11

of shoes on guys like for him

39:13

at that time I was like tech

39:15

or whatever or do do understand like

39:17

you know. For. Me

39:19

To dig ditches. How many ditches I would

39:22

have to dig in order to pay for

39:24

that pair of what? You know when you

39:26

work the math like that Like I understand

39:28

it. But how do you make someone else

39:30

understand that without putting them through it a

39:33

little? Can't you can't They will not understand

39:35

until they have to actually do it Like

39:37

you know that. Settle: Think tough. love. Sometimes.

39:40

You gotta just let them. Let. him figure

39:42

it out on their own but then that feels bad because

39:44

I'm like. I. Always feel like I

39:47

could help. I could make fix this like

39:49

that like that, but then by fixing it,

39:51

I just enable this person to rely on

39:53

me. The next time things get bad and

39:55

they're never going to have that sense of

39:57

of of urgency to do anything. Because they're

39:59

They're always gonna know that I'm going to

40:01

be that safety net. So it's it. Sucks

40:03

and I don't want to see my friends

40:05

struggle and fall and sale and go through

40:07

things, but at the same science, I don't

40:10

want them to freaking just think that they

40:12

could come to me at any moment and

40:14

have be bailed him out. And.

40:16

So it's it's hard. It really is

40:18

and I'm having people try to get

40:21

people are on border or understand where

40:23

I'm coming from because they just the

40:25

you sound like an asshole when you

40:28

try to say this is how I

40:30

feel better like. Do.

40:32

You wouldn't even notice it is really it's gonna affect

40:34

you that is really. But it's not your just tell

40:36

me how we enter our when a deal with this

40:39

I don't know how you dealt with it by i

40:41

had it's before I am as a lot for a

40:43

lot length of. Did

40:46

you get angry before the crime because I would

40:48

explode? let's I would hold it in and then

40:50

when you did break that line and sadly for

40:53

my part it was always on something that people

40:55

are like why did you get mad at that

40:57

It was always the last straw was at a

40:59

random thing and when I explode or just like

41:01

I'm one hundred percent. In so let's I'm either

41:03

one hundred percent going to be your servant

41:05

or I'm gonna one hundred percent be your

41:07

enemy Like access. Be fifty fifty.

41:09

Just weird. I. Feel like I'm faking it here

41:11

and then if I. Seek his years feel as your

41:14

make me as a person. I can't do this so

41:16

that your these are the boundaries I don't cross and

41:18

like don't but it's It's the I've been in the

41:20

game only for ten years and it's still. The.

41:23

Hardest thing to do is say no to somebody

41:25

with a know. Like. I'm sorry,

41:27

I don't think it's appropriate. He didn't work for

41:29

years and then you look like the bad guy

41:31

but nobody just gave it to me to do.

41:33

They get to work for it You and you

41:35

never looked good saying no and the person that

41:37

you're saying no to. Doesn't.

41:40

All of a sudden Go! You know

41:42

what? I respect your answer and and.

41:44

And thank you for you know, Enlightening!

41:47

Me: yeah, you know your greedy bro,

41:49

you have all these on a lotta

41:51

medically. it's that automatically. it's like. Oh,

41:53

that's how it is. Oh. Okay

41:56

all out do feel like then in

41:58

a way you china's are able. It

42:00

up or his true colors but unfortunately it's a

42:02

success. You guys have to swallow the hard pill

42:04

of being like you know I have to follow

42:06

the pain of you probably being mad with the

42:09

but I know I'm doing with better for you

42:11

You just don't know. yeah but I'm done with

42:13

better for you and then hopefully if you have

42:15

somebody who response to you you know properly or

42:17

in a humble way then you're like okay this

42:19

person like for hims right. But the promo

42:21

is that ice I will see the big

42:24

like a large Osu. This is how the

42:26

reacting bird the colors but it's too late.

42:28

Already invested in the person. I really care

42:30

about. This person. I love this person. Dispersants

42:32

they've known meets all alone and a lot

42:34

of times to what'll happen as. I'll.

42:38

Hear! ah. People.

42:40

To remind him and it sucks cause

42:43

I i always a i fall for

42:45

it were they'll tell me you know

42:47

I was there before all of this.

42:50

You know I've known you for how long

42:53

now. So they they they remind you about

42:55

how is that? the amount of time spent

42:57

and then you're like. You're. right?

43:00

Okay, You know and

43:02

and is growing interest is like there's

43:05

no way a doesn't like does this

43:07

impact from a new friends? It's really

43:09

hard. it really is because I can.

43:11

I can meet people all day but

43:13

then aside or eight hour. Day

43:16

one is always fun. It's ah, it's the honeymoon.

43:18

It's great. were cool, it's all laughing fun. Second

43:20

time, same thing but then once you start

43:22

hanging out after a while, then you start figuring

43:24

out a case or an angle to this. Is

43:28

an actual friendship being built here? Or is

43:30

it a. Is

43:33

this is is this is gonna be an acquaintance somebody

43:35

that you know hey what we do things for them

43:37

they do things for mates on about you know. There

43:41

or is it is. It's something where it

43:43

can actually be a friendship. Does this affect

43:45

you when it comes to dating? Or absolutely.

43:48

Ah, Do you pass is Judy People that

43:50

are elevated. Or. Do you just Man,

43:52

I still make horrible choices. I am

43:54

bad decisions. It's yeah. I'm I'm I'm

43:56

not good enough. Somebody remind me of

43:58

that the other day. The. You

44:00

need to start. Hanging out and talking

44:02

to people that. Are. Are

44:05

are. Closer. To where you're at

44:07

in laughter is. And. Know and and

44:09

and ago. but it's hard to meet those

44:11

people. It's like you know how

44:13

how do you do it? It's it's the road and

44:15

Iran are sort of want to be on a on

44:17

a. Dating. App, or or or have a

44:19

friend set me up. It's as if. Do. The

44:21

Ama Instagram. Yeah. Yeah, and

44:24

the way you say that it sounds you. Are

44:27

you like a video guy Or a like a message

44:30

to the guy. Ah, I'm

44:32

more message me I like taxing stuff

44:34

like that, but. I. Also use

44:36

and videos also to I Don't I Don't. I

44:39

don't chase like. With.

44:41

Just it's their. Your. Own of

44:43

a fluffy My life or right? Now

44:46

so I've never been good at at pursuing.

44:49

I'm always like the you know that up

44:51

your got mixed. Up

44:55

the South? Yes. okay. For

44:58

you have the loss of thought, Run And

45:00

have you ever want to say that every

45:02

girl was in? That's. To. Make them

45:04

less and literally like I told guys all the

45:06

time when out when I was single and I

45:09

was dating a bunch of girls they would ask

45:11

me how would you gotta you get girls I

45:13

go do money hi All this stuff is is

45:15

great. Success is great but if you make somebody

45:17

last and you feel like you're just the party

45:20

when they see you they're just they're happy that

45:22

they know that they're gonna have an enjoyable time.

45:24

It's hard to beat that. You can't beat that

45:26

as a you're carrying around the torch of like

45:28

you hang out with unless you're hanging. Also be

45:31

the such your mom and the she does not

45:33

gonna last a. Fresh, You're going to

45:35

marry somebody like your mama's gonna be five.

45:37

Not all gonna laugh at a single thing

45:39

you say. I'm going to be like this

45:41

is the ones that I know she's your

45:43

mother relationship that when south was because he

45:45

became my mom says. That

45:50

yours you won't be as you madam,

45:52

your my, I don't know, see I'm

45:55

going up. The question myself about that

45:57

has responded to our nerf like everything's

45:59

over St. That's so funny

46:01

younger. Relationship with her son. Now because I

46:03

know he's twenty six. You getting married in?

46:05

Oh God Yeah, Yeah, Nah. It's actually

46:08

it's It's so much better because you

46:10

know he's He's not a kid anymore.

46:12

He's doing adult things. You know we

46:14

have a lot more in common. I.

46:18

Love the fact that hill just message me

46:20

randomly whereas before was always me reaching out

46:22

to ham and economic i'm a bug in

46:24

a my annoying yeah yeah so I love

46:26

the fact hey dad, you want to coffee

46:29

on random. Ah has a

46:31

had just come by who lives in a red up the

46:33

street from here so it's in that we were really close

46:35

ties and then I I still talk to mom regularly. Which.

46:37

I think is great to we have a nice

46:40

a good friendship and where I was talking about

46:42

ham and were always still trailer illegal parent him

46:44

even though it's like okay is an adult but.

46:47

It. Was about I get so never not be your

46:49

son. He was seven when you were introduced him

46:51

for a half so what how is that like

46:54

and how how twenty years mans. Twenty.

46:56

Years. So he's twenty seven. Now he'll He'll

46:58

be twenty seven in December. Visit.

47:02

Frightening. Or was it like just

47:04

law that for sale of man. I love

47:06

this kid like how hard that he looks

47:08

just like meat which was crazy. So is

47:10

a modern family honest on earth when I

47:12

first met him. When. I first met

47:14

i'm I'm like. I

47:16

looked out of i'm like oh my god is gonna

47:19

look I'm a grown on my clearly you have a

47:21

type says. Yes

47:24

or no no that was you

47:26

miss so inevitably vote yes My

47:29

stepson the like. To

47:31

put it looks just like you it is so a I

47:34

remember I would I would bring him out on stage. I

47:36

will. You guys gotta see you might might get

47:38

to that were dressing like me and I bring

47:41

him on stage and then a given same haircut

47:43

and so it's we both banner and then I

47:45

looked around and then turn around and people just

47:47

laughing because he looked just like me. Chubby

47:50

cheeks and his big smile. And in, Are you

47:52

doing the same haircut? Put on the same Sure

47:55

Gillick. Yeah. It's a kid and

47:57

so he lied. and even my mom's you

47:59

just kind of. For

48:02

going another litter a h l

48:04

certain certain feature but you look

48:06

at my my son now he's

48:08

give me ah he lost all

48:10

the way his slim and he

48:12

likes telling people that in all

48:14

or. No. All you lost other oh

48:16

wait and was added to the right way He

48:18

always you always likes don't bite into it the

48:20

right where exactly why would we are things that

48:22

he got sick and and he had a diabetic

48:24

and stuff since we had a loot he'd lost

48:26

weight because of. you know the. Love

48:29

sugar levels and stuff and so it was like you

48:31

were to the gym. Yeah. Well as he

48:33

did, the right thing is. That gonna fix against

48:35

fixes help ya out he was only way

48:37

possible of Illinois. Yeah you were working on

48:39

your her the last time I saw you.

48:42

How you do that ideal everyday and so

48:44

like for example. For.

48:46

The last two days I I just

48:48

been lagging ah my own worse. Person.

48:51

Now. Trying. To go

48:53

my pills together to that addicts or medication

48:56

for blood pressure, diabetes, and stuff like that.

48:58

And. Ah, And I'd

49:00

pick up. Secure. Walking around her she

49:02

always reminds we got take pills sick

49:04

of thrones of doesn't like a ride

49:06

ah it's now he had a monitor

49:09

select I were i were a moderates

49:11

on it's it's on that this dog

49:13

arm or here she's. Sleeping.

49:15

On yeah. And. So if

49:17

I eat something that's a little bit

49:19

questionable. Unicycle parole officer the

49:21

just shows up and bb believe. Me

49:24

But I already know now. He

49:26

on. Your. On the road a lot

49:28

among among the wrote a lot actually get tougher

49:31

eating. didn't like it's different time zones. ah when

49:33

you land where are you gonna go grab it

49:35

Was ever chef flying around with you would he

49:37

ever shuffling around with you know ah I used

49:39

to have a personal will go on the road

49:41

of mean who would prepare meals and stuff like

49:44

that but she was uphill. Since.

49:46

I realize you want to say is known as

49:48

she was A and I realized man if and

49:50

have somebody that's gonna be been on around me

49:52

preparing meals and stuff I need to be able

49:54

to get along with them. and in an hour's not

49:56

feel like they're annoying. Yeah, oh, she's

49:58

cooking your food the yes, Yeah yeah

50:00

that's the most evil door they about using

50:02

a mouse in the office them off but

50:05

ah hard thing for me to. The.

50:08

Of thing was really hard for me to do

50:10

was to ah, stop making excuses because I I

50:12

used to say amen. Well it's hard for me

50:14

to find food on the road. It's hard for

50:16

me. It's after the show it's hard to find

50:19

food is this and this and that. It's all

50:21

excuses because I could easily you know, put something

50:23

in the refrigerator. And

50:30

so. Right now I'm

50:32

at that cross roads were on. Forty seven years

50:34

old and I've been. I've been rocked in this

50:37

wait for a minute. Ah, I was a hundred

50:39

pounds heavier. But. I'm still. I'm still

50:41

a big dude. And so my

50:43

that crossroads right now where I could still

50:45

six it. I could slow elected still

50:47

others from dealing with right now. I feel like

50:49

that's the dealing part, the making the choice or

50:51

because you're so be on tour. See

50:54

disease is is is has nothing to

50:56

do with it. It's me making that

50:59

choice to. To. Do It! Food

51:01

is amazing! And. Being

51:03

able to eat out every day

51:05

is a huge luxury and I

51:07

enjoy it at. I love getting

51:10

in the car, driving somewhere, walking

51:12

and sitting in a new place,

51:14

taking in the environment, trying new

51:16

things. It is I I did.

51:18

I literally do it everyday and

51:21

it's of the. Best. Thing in

51:23

the world from the experiences is like a drug.

51:25

A Lego my best Thing in the world is

51:27

the Greatest Thing in the world and so rich

51:29

or poor had sitting down and eighty and mood

51:32

of your friends the bass and it's it's a

51:34

social it became a social thing works like okay

51:36

we're talking were eating were laughing with since this.

51:39

Awesome! Thing and. I know

51:41

that. To. Get to where I need

51:43

to be. I can't I can't be

51:45

in that environment and that scares me.

51:48

Like. I love it so much. In

51:50

all it's like or a meal prep. Boring.

51:53

Sit on the. Share. By myself

51:55

the dogs don't even want to eat that his

51:57

sister lives do this is not even was. Fuck.

52:01

You know, eating that first one

52:03

as you go crazy. Clean, friendly,

52:06

With you. Always feel blog

52:08

God know it's it's it's a little sick

52:10

sick know who don't eat clean Other: I

52:12

saw a i have to have to get

52:14

myself to so good with a place to.

52:16

Make. Those corrections because I

52:18

know that it's. You.

52:21

Haven't eaten. You don't Just a good one day you

52:23

have to make it a united, make it a pattern

52:25

and a lifestyle. Yeah, And I've

52:27

done it in the past. But then you know

52:29

one one trip out. To. You

52:31

celebrate. Oh, I lost seventy five pounds

52:34

were Ill have got to eat to

52:36

celebrate. And as your ballot measure measure

52:38

measure at sixty five pounds last month,

52:40

seventy five and now. He's

52:43

really motivated. you play that game. But like

52:45

I said, I'm at that road right now

52:47

where I could still. Correct.

52:49

It or I could go down that evil

52:51

yeah over dark road. Up.

52:54

But I want to be around. I do. And so my

52:56

motivation as I just. You. Know it's not to

52:58

look better care and on the I do what

53:00

I do and it doesn't matter what I looked

53:02

like. there could be slim, I could be big,

53:05

my shows are still going to be the shows

53:07

everything's going to happen but it's more so to

53:09

be around to be. Healthy

53:12

enough to enjoy life for example, not

53:14

just a lives, not just a live.

53:17

One. One now when I take the found

53:19

me to Disneyland. right? Ah,

53:21

I want to be able to walk

53:23

both parks. And be okay at the end of the

53:26

day. Whereas right now I'm

53:28

good for about an hour of walking

53:30

and then I'm like want to sell.

53:32

Our and I because.

53:36

Of a maple to do it about

53:38

a scooter is on the last summer

53:40

with it isn't on my bucket set

53:42

as good or up it as an

53:45

icy roads the scooter the entire day

53:47

and I'm like wow this was so

53:49

much better with the scooter and I'm

53:51

like like what's the motivation to wanna

53:53

start walking? be a tough but yes

53:55

you guys are all tired. I got

53:57

energy for days. You must must goose.

54:00

So I think that he not

54:02

only an outside of the i've

54:04

started creating these you know crutches

54:06

that. That. Have not

54:08

really motivated me to one. I have. A

54:11

own. It's hard when you have power of the here's

54:13

a thing like all he don't fit in the chair.

54:15

whoop. Order accustomed. share. You

54:17

if you are this era your that

54:20

I'm sitting on came from a hotel

54:22

ah in Palm Springs. Oh it was

54:24

my room. And I love it and

54:26

I ask is the that the people at the

54:28

see I got this chairs like the most perfect

54:31

share in the world. Where did where did you

54:33

get it I want to order it was as

54:35

if you know and in a being able to

54:37

do that has. I. Feel like

54:39

having resources is yes. having resources also

54:42

is is like kryptonite for me. Wanting

54:44

to get better? That gives as rousing

54:46

a mother say so you're You're at

54:49

the King of the Castle rights. It's

54:51

hard when you have nobody telling you

54:53

what to do. When. Your mom

54:55

was around. She could be your voice of reason like a.

54:58

Don't. Do that to be like zone so

55:00

but when you don't have that anymore and

55:02

your realizing that everybody loves is coming to

55:04

you for advice. Financial. Decisions.

55:07

Or maybe money? Or our

55:09

relationship. When you realize your the source when

55:11

it comes to your problems, you're you're tired

55:13

of helping everybody else. You take the easy

55:15

way out for yourself and this could be

55:17

a tricky tricky past. I.

55:19

Was recently reading a study that might actually

55:22

intrigue you. Because you said you

55:24

wanted to be around and be healthy, right?

55:26

Years, You're worried about your blood sugar. You

55:28

worried about. In the future God forbid

55:30

being at a place where you're alive but

55:32

you will be able to enjoy life says

55:34

it's fullest. There's a study that came out

55:36

that are obese, people have perfect blood records

55:39

and I have an example. My sister my

55:41

scissors obese and she as thank god very

55:43

very good blood and we have diabetes in

55:45

our family to the reason why is because

55:47

she lifts weights. And she does a

55:49

lot of list. And so there's a

55:52

study that saying that lifting weights actually

55:54

help with your insides? So have you

55:56

ever decided? and try to? Just instead

55:58

of fixing your diet first? That's

56:00

tough right? That comes with a lot of passion.

56:02

Like you said, you'd rather go out your friends.

56:05

You just crushed. When. Nobody could

56:07

do in their lifetime. You're exhausted, your sit

56:09

by yourself eating a meal you ought to

56:11

take. Everybody goes celebrates. So why don't you

56:13

just start with lifting weights for a year?

56:15

Get a trainer. I. Did I

56:17

live? I know, I'd I'd lifted

56:20

weights, For. Years. Of

56:22

I did a for for a while but lifting

56:24

weights is only you know. yeah you'll you'll be

56:26

stronger. which is good. you lifting weights if you

56:28

start eating like an ass off it's still gonna

56:31

know. but you're you're right that it at least

56:33

if you're lifting weights you you you're strong and

56:35

you can get up and co move around used

56:37

you're You're carrying that big frame around but it

56:40

doesn't necessarily mean you're gonna lose the weight of

56:42

your stop eating. Yeah. I

56:44

remember I'm a hung out with the. Stone.

56:47

Cold Steve Austin. Any said, you

56:49

can't. You can't out train

56:51

a shitty day. It. You. Can't out

56:53

train a shitty Tommy? You can't out

56:55

train a shitty diet. To. Turn

56:57

out train a shitty diet and I'm like them.

57:00

While I was actually like of solitary rights. He

57:03

hates it when I do that. This is

57:05

Uma not do Not Smoke gasol stop Must. Have

57:09

you ever done under pressure to somebody and then he

57:11

got like oh maybe I should advise him assistant. At

57:14

a great sense of humor, you've got a great

57:16

sense of humor. But yeah, I don't think anybody

57:19

likes hearing impressions of themselves. But so I try

57:21

not to do it around. The people know that.

57:24

Oh. Really yeah I feel slightly get somebody

57:26

could do much the me like I would

57:28

want to see it you know as the

57:30

lowest settings for this but I do have

57:32

in length as good as because you've been

57:35

in so many animated films animated series notice

57:37

you're able to other voices the characters is

57:39

how soon and see your chimp the comedic

57:41

career did you start. Acting.

57:44

And did you start doing voice over or to? They

57:46

saw the you Are A voice I know. Emperor's New

57:48

School. And. I was pretty early on in your career.

57:50

Wow that was really really early

57:52

on Arm. We couldn't tell you

57:54

the here but you probably good says act yes. Sir

57:57

Yes, I love the.

58:00

I love Emperor's New Groove version. So

58:02

ah, once I started doing voice work

58:05

in a sea of the thing with

58:07

voiceover work is that yes, it's a

58:09

it's a credit, It's A. You know

58:12

it's cool to do these projects, but

58:14

the it. Financially is one

58:16

of those things where. He.

58:19

Had to make yourself available and as a

58:21

touring comic my bread and butter is on

58:23

the road. However, if

58:25

you're lucky enough to land a

58:27

voice role on something big then

58:30

it it can blow up and

58:32

you could be a major in

58:34

cars. He could be a character

58:37

that's like what the hell I

58:39

guess And I remember I turned

58:42

down a role. To.

58:44

Go on the road. And the.

58:46

The. Role would have blown up. The

58:49

rep for me it took the role did blow

58:51

up for the person that did it on but

58:53

after that I saw. A major

58:55

point I'm never going to say no to

58:58

voice overalls to that. her is all it's

59:00

done. I've and happened twice. com. So

59:02

anytime I'm with you as reporting on the road

59:04

it. Because at the

59:06

time it's not like now you just take

59:09

your quip meek do your own thing about

59:11

membranes his this is back then and so

59:13

is now. You couldn't take the studio with

59:15

your arm and you could just phone is

59:17

in. Do get better when you see these

59:19

comics taking it's so easy here. like to

59:21

come on easier like subject. no good stewards

59:23

oh did you ask you all know but

59:26

that they're just. So.

59:29

The the I went out for this

59:31

role. And. Very.

59:35

Needed me to sing. In the

59:37

role and so I remember I did of the

59:39

voice and then I sang the song that the

59:41

wanted me to sing and the like. You

59:44

that ensures on a great. Song

59:46

as it. My way

59:49

in Spanish. Army Man, I'm

59:51

Human at or Gypsy Kings version

59:53

Instinct and on. The thing was

59:55

is that the movie didn't have.

59:58

Ah, a real budget. And

1:00:00

so they were telling me, hey, look. It's.

1:00:04

You're going to make like I forget what

1:00:06

the amount was. It was like a couple

1:00:08

hundred bucks. That's to come in

1:00:10

and to the recordings and stuff like that, but it's

1:00:12

gonna require you to. You know you don't need a

1:00:14

cut up like. A chunk of time

1:00:16

to come in and always recording yeah sing

1:00:18

the song on. We.

1:00:21

Can promise we can give you points on a

1:00:23

back and if we decide to do saying that

1:00:25

that's the best we can do. A My manager

1:00:27

of Time was like this is such a stupid

1:00:30

movie. This is such a stupid movie you can

1:00:32

go on the road. He can make Twenty Five

1:00:34

K in Texas right now. You

1:00:36

know, this weekend. And you're you're gonna.

1:00:38

You're gonna cut out. That.

1:00:40

To for for a couple hundred dollars and hope that

1:00:42

it. Breaks. Cause makes over a

1:00:44

certain amounts you can get back and. She.

1:00:47

Was a stupid. And. I'm like,

1:00:49

okay, You're right, And. So passed on

1:00:51

the role. went to Texas made by Twenty

1:00:53

Five K. the movie that I passed on

1:00:56

a Happy feet. Yeah

1:00:59

I've as ours not like I'm happy that next

1:01:01

day. Images they were

1:01:03

a we're not my you know not as

1:01:05

he has on happy feet and who got

1:01:08

the part they gave the part they give

1:01:10

the part but by the time they had

1:01:12

raise the money. Robin Williams.the

1:01:14

parts which I thought was like you know

1:01:16

what if anybody's in a get it much

1:01:19

my childhood hero idea that so I thought

1:01:21

that was cool so he won't allow the

1:01:23

to take you to have that type of

1:01:25

energy sources such as a minute. About

1:01:28

Away the movie. Yeah I can only imagine what

1:01:30

the points and how much money I would have

1:01:32

made because the movie the movie made so much

1:01:34

money. They made a sequel installed gotten the sequel

1:01:37

to I'm. Guessing you when you were saying my

1:01:39

old manager. Was it has a reasons

1:01:41

like this is I. I

1:01:43

I you know either. I think that this the so

1:01:45

at the end of the day when you're really passive

1:01:47

or something and it's something that you enjoy. Sometimes you

1:01:50

know the money that it's gonna make you is is

1:01:52

not worth it. You know because I didn't They you

1:01:54

know you would have enjoys at that time and that

1:01:56

would have a part of the legacy. Unum Say like

1:01:58

I would have been able to say. Like you know

1:02:00

I was in that movie. Like wow I

1:02:02

was skills as so many people have seen

1:02:04

it. The

1:02:07

second time it happened to them when

1:02:09

1:02:11

a movie called planes disney case

1:02:14

it was like those their version

1:02:16

har har the I guess. I

1:02:20

was playing the major character, the side kick to

1:02:22

the the main, the main carefully and who played

1:02:24

a. Major was

1:02:26

Larry the Cable that. Yeah.

1:02:28

I think it was was it Own Wilson

1:02:30

who played a Lightning Mcqueen. Did you get

1:02:32

an audition for that for four hours for

1:02:34

cars? know? For. For planes yes

1:02:36

yes and so I landed the though

1:02:39

those side note that the body character

1:02:41

yeah and that one it says forget

1:02:43

the character's name or something I was

1:02:45

it was a Spanish character and so

1:02:47

they if they're required me to get

1:02:50

a little you know see if amazon

1:02:52

module is a was models voices ear

1:02:54

and is like Chase I'm raising okay

1:02:56

it on sort of like this guides

1:02:58

goods. I'm. So

1:03:00

the the gave me the part. Ah,

1:03:02

and they said alright cool wealth, we're

1:03:04

going to need you. To

1:03:07

do a table read for the executives they

1:03:09

want us. They want to do a table

1:03:11

read of the whole movie and have everybody

1:03:13

there to voice the characters so that they

1:03:15

can. kind of, they can see it and

1:03:17

ah, I. Had work, I

1:03:20

had obligations. And all like to

1:03:22

go on the road and again was one of the things.

1:03:24

while. And I'm time

1:03:26

ago. Listen guys he said I got the

1:03:28

part but I got some work on the

1:03:30

road and will I will listen. We understand

1:03:32

you got prior commitments. don't worry the parts

1:03:34

yours would just have somebody or read read

1:03:36

the part for you. Somewhere. About. It. You're

1:03:39

not from. So. Focused on

1:03:42

the road to my saying the

1:03:44

person they had read for me.

1:03:46

Is a voice actor named Carlos

1:03:49

and as rotten he's a He's

1:03:51

a comic old longtime friend known

1:03:53

for ever since The Problem Is.

1:03:56

Carlos. L is rocky. His. Next

1:03:58

level with the voices. The guy

1:04:00

that did that voice of the talk about

1:04:02

to our back in the day Iowa other

1:04:04

I think Rock was model world. He did

1:04:07

so many characters so you. Said you'd

1:04:09

just have. A job as small

1:04:11

as three the line rather the the

1:04:13

parts. Username of freakin' Ringer

1:04:15

you brought in free get you know,

1:04:17

the best? Hell yes it was like

1:04:19

I'm a boxer. my that's what we

1:04:21

got Tyson to fill in for Hims

1:04:23

hear what? Yeah, don't want to come

1:04:25

back while would get Roman somebody who's

1:04:27

who's better at doing voice overs than

1:04:29

I am and sold as petty as

1:04:31

move. He goes in there and he

1:04:34

slays it. He slays the table read

1:04:36

and are like who did we haven't

1:04:38

as things. yeah no they're not going

1:04:40

to be better than this And I

1:04:42

agree. Car Shield It's so I lost.

1:04:44

A part because I wasn't there at that table

1:04:46

read I was on the road and I was

1:04:48

a. Damn it, I did it again. The.

1:04:51

Good part was that they still had other

1:04:53

characters that needed to be that they needed

1:04:55

other roles filled in that movie and saw

1:04:57

they say hey lot when I we can

1:04:59

give you but them decide Dukas Carlos got

1:05:01

it now but we're going off or you

1:05:04

these other parts did you hands on it

1:05:06

not I did it really yeah I said

1:05:08

as a hey I want to be part

1:05:10

of the project So yes I did the

1:05:12

other characters and were smaller you know less

1:05:14

lines, less everything but I was still in

1:05:16

the movie but I remember like ah man

1:05:18

freaky car a little too I go bro

1:05:21

I. Know you killed it in their i

1:05:23

know you killed it in their really same

1:05:25

as A So it was in and I

1:05:27

get in on my list my role in

1:05:29

our minds and see her for ya sister

1:05:31

sweet as it is possible to see that

1:05:33

as as a so now he fielded and

1:05:36

again ill advised by missed out on a

1:05:38

second opportunity like that. For. Gone on

1:05:40

the road so it's hard to balance. But

1:05:42

in doing voice overs for me, I love

1:05:44

voice over work more than regular acting in

1:05:47

like in a tv show or movie. I

1:05:49

love voiceover work a job like this. To

1:05:51

me the mike was do this and was

1:05:53

or I'll have to memorize anything. Everything's right

1:05:56

there. You that of director telling you speak

1:05:58

higher, speak lower, make your. No,

1:06:00

You know I need angrier, You

1:06:02

know? And you're doing it instantly

1:06:04

And it's instantly being done. You're

1:06:06

comfortable. And he gets his play. Yes! And then

1:06:08

have class services, right? They're seeking a yeah,

1:06:10

I'm a dozen or noom. They have an

1:06:13

assistant. Professor

1:06:15

Sigma. What

1:06:19

would our food in? Your Mother Jones was just

1:06:21

as one know. My

1:06:23

buddy actually plays one of the Ninja Turtles and

1:06:25

one of the Teen Titans and he's like your

1:06:28

com or am I? what am I Houses by

1:06:30

the way says he's very, very established. I came

1:06:32

in and he's in his role with his coffee.

1:06:34

That one second I'm finishing up work and he

1:06:36

walks into this tiny little booth. Yeah, any just

1:06:38

like we were, it becomes articles Cab Done!

1:06:40

let's go to the beach in an Allied?

1:06:43

Are you kidding me What this lives do?

1:06:45

This is sick. But so so. Next the

1:06:47

comedy. I like doing voice over work com

1:06:49

and like voice over work and then and

1:06:51

then our acting makes sense because both of

1:06:53

those kind of fall in the realm of

1:06:55

you manipulating your voice surprise never really jumps

1:06:57

is a podcasting. The reason

1:06:59

why I didn't get into podcasting to the lot

1:07:01

of people have asked me how can we didn't

1:07:03

just start doing your own So I feel like

1:07:05

you've you're gonna have a successful podcast. You need

1:07:07

to be consistent. You need to have a good

1:07:10

schedule. You need to have people around you. They're

1:07:12

gonna help you produce. Sick of a lotta people

1:07:14

think oh you just grab him I can talk

1:07:16

know you need to have people. If you can

1:07:18

have a good podcast you need people to help

1:07:20

you produce it.though environment that you set up begin

1:07:22

to have to have your topics that you're going

1:07:24

to cover and so that all takes work session

1:07:26

and time is the shop. If. You're going

1:07:29

to do it right if you're going to dick

1:07:31

off and talk and then you could always come

1:07:33

back to it. You can always go in the

1:07:35

future collector. My whole thing was I don't want

1:07:37

start something and half ass it news I don't

1:07:39

wanna half ass it because is going to reflect

1:07:41

on the all maps to see a shitty podcast

1:07:43

like a yawning like I'm just saying like people

1:07:45

at a representatives on about meet say I would

1:07:47

much rather be on someone else is show and

1:07:49

then just it's a it's a hang you know

1:07:51

this or me as at work it's a hang,

1:07:53

were hanging out we're talking. This is fun. I

1:07:55

don't have to get have anybody said all this

1:07:57

stuff up. I don't have. To coordinate any of it

1:07:59

as you show. The had fun and any about what

1:08:01

about the records if you know. But if it's my

1:08:03

show and I want to make sure I go back

1:08:05

and I listened to it or at least make sure

1:08:08

that okay how did they say that is is gonna

1:08:10

be okay Let's go back and forth with a publicist.

1:08:12

make sure that the the the the person we interviewed

1:08:14

was comfortable with this. Make sure it's the follow ups.

1:08:17

It's a lot of work and if you can do

1:08:19

it right to hold but I knew already. That

1:08:21

I'm lazy was certain things that I'm like. You

1:08:25

know I'm not. I'm not gonna be as

1:08:27

enthusiastic about it after. you know, a month

1:08:29

the first couple I'll be like this is

1:08:32

cool, but I already know me. And

1:08:34

I know that ominous find something else that I'm

1:08:36

gonna wanna do more than the podcast and

1:08:38

other touted as long an hour now so it's

1:08:40

going to turn into something maybe reflecting of you.

1:08:43

What? What I've What are I know? Because

1:08:45

I know me here and again I don't wanna

1:08:47

start something a camp sinister. The you know

1:08:49

and therefore you're giving your audience that quality

1:08:51

performances in concert versus you're just trying to

1:08:53

like. Over it as yeah.

1:08:56

So. Would you ever write

1:08:58

your own animation? Silver? your own

1:09:00

character? Yoda. Netflix

1:09:02

thing going on your teacher. Yes

1:09:05

i had a show as a as

1:09:07

a teacher but also there was a

1:09:09

project that recently got a freak and

1:09:12

eighty six because of of have club.

1:09:16

Changing of of. Of

1:09:18

people over at Netflix. I had a deal with

1:09:20

a with a friend of mine. We were Rob.

1:09:23

Doing. A animated film. Based

1:09:26

on on us on a story but I

1:09:28

had a had given him about my life

1:09:30

and my son's life. kind of like a

1:09:33

clashing of the to Live Together and the

1:09:35

it was gonna be an animated film call

1:09:37

a Chihuahua for Netflix and they are they

1:09:39

pick that up with was great and all

1:09:42

the said Netflix went through this thing where

1:09:44

people started getting let go and other people

1:09:46

started come and and each time somebody new

1:09:48

would come in they would make. Make.

1:09:51

Us redo the script didn't like it or

1:09:53

and somebody makes a they did a good

1:09:55

start changing things and it's like and had

1:09:57

happened too many times and finally you know.

1:10:00

Was it was one too many. And it's like love.

1:10:02

This is just not. It's no longer the saying that

1:10:04

it should have and the i up and so now.

1:10:06

Dress up and powerful! Why don't you just create something

1:10:08

on your own and then sell it. Ah,

1:10:10

that's also an option. Ah such an

1:10:12

for example I have on online I

1:10:15

have the cartoons or a a. A

1:10:17

hard this company in Colombia that

1:10:19

does animation. Really good animation and

1:10:21

I had them take all of

1:10:23

my comedy specials from the past

1:10:25

year and animate them, put them

1:10:27

in cartoons and break. Vi Dane

1:10:29

Cook. Did. You get

1:10:32

this from the could this idea. I remember

1:10:34

Comedy Central did that. Comedy Central was doing

1:10:36

a big i think to call them shortest

1:10:38

way I would take comics bits and they

1:10:41

would animated. says. I'm so surprised

1:10:43

Army so do more that a looks really cool

1:10:45

and it isn't a new up on his. it's

1:10:47

very much it in so yeah. so I had

1:10:50

this company do that so it's breaking up all

1:10:52

my on my specials and so these short form

1:10:54

and palm fluffy bits and so that's why would

1:10:56

post that attacked us. So doing stuff like that

1:10:59

is fun because it's still in the vein of

1:11:01

my stand up. Any time people like you for

1:11:03

a certain thing and then you try to branch

1:11:05

off it's like will this work here the up

1:11:08

you know. Okay he's a funny comedian. Will he

1:11:10

be a funny comedy actor on Tv? The. Or

1:11:12

does this box fit in this box?

1:11:14

Okay, he's a funny comedy actor on

1:11:17

Tv. Will that work on film? Can.

1:11:19

He be a funny enough so it's always

1:11:22

I can you take this and put it

1:11:24

here. Will this work here? Will this work

1:11:26

here? And I feel like animation, animating comedy

1:11:28

bits. Should. Sit should work people.

1:11:30

A you would think people like cartoons,

1:11:32

people like stand up combine the two,

1:11:34

especially if they're fan of the person

1:11:36

self. Is this like do pay and

1:11:38

and and produce my own animated stuff

1:11:41

which is out of. All. That

1:11:43

to say that I love that. You know I

1:11:45

always watch during a movie. That's that takes a

1:11:47

lot more bigger project as a bigger project and

1:11:49

because of the fact that people can just do

1:11:52

this to you. Know

1:11:54

as as so easy. it's kind of his.

1:11:56

It's discouraging and scary at times. As

1:11:59

you need to take. Van edge of the

1:12:01

modern technology on the fact that this

1:12:03

is no longer thing for somebody like

1:12:05

fluffy. This. Should never be

1:12:08

anything for euro. you eat too dirty. sold

1:12:10

out Dodgers state. Who the fuck I'm sorry.

1:12:12

I'm sorry to not swear, but who has

1:12:14

the ability to do this to you. Go

1:12:17

fuck yourself Remained got you? Go sell a

1:12:19

Dodger Stadium in and tell me what's good

1:12:21

or not. It'll be like series like I

1:12:23

can even fathom that you wait for some

1:12:25

it. if? what? If I want to produce

1:12:27

something on my own and put it out

1:12:29

on my own platform, on my own, you

1:12:31

tube, or my own in a website or

1:12:33

whatever I can do that, that's always an

1:12:35

option. But if you wanna be. Ah,

1:12:38

Lung. I want if Obama

1:12:40

to do movie I wanted. In. A

1:12:43

feeder aura one it on the biggest

1:12:45

streaming platform because there is something to

1:12:47

be said about having having your project

1:12:50

on. You know, like I have Netflix

1:12:52

specials. I don't have specials that are

1:12:54

online, you know, collect? Your

1:12:57

looked at a certain way if you if you

1:12:59

release you special or buy yourself some people say

1:13:01

oh well I guess is special wasn't good enough

1:13:04

to be on amazon or netflix and he just

1:13:06

told chance to do on his own unless you

1:13:08

do something like a Louis ck where he one

1:13:10

of actually making more money or producing is himself

1:13:13

when he know like ah what happened how come

1:13:15

he's no longer on that's what kind of us

1:13:17

a thing where people like okay I guess he's

1:13:19

gone down know. And that's

1:13:21

that's part of it's and as dangerous as

1:13:24

an image thing and you've worked so hard

1:13:26

to maintain that. and so this image that

1:13:28

you've bills and as I'm looking around, Woes.

1:13:30

We've got a factory your what we

1:13:33

would would you compounds the compound this tude

1:13:35

com pass I'm seeing marvel on C

1:13:37

W W East. Did any these influence you

1:13:39

on how to patrol fluffy and bring

1:13:41

fluffy into a bigger. Realm.

1:13:43

Like did you take from their ideas? Like were

1:13:45

you inspired by W of Eat or you just

1:13:48

a fan of it? I'm a huge fan of

1:13:50

wrestling. I'm a huge fan of Stubby W. Eve.

1:13:53

And I've are modeled a lot of what

1:13:55

I do after professional wrestling because I'm such

1:13:57

a huge fan and I just love. The

1:14:00

lights. I love the show. I love

1:14:02

the environment, I love the excitement. I

1:14:04

love the products in the March. All

1:14:07

of that is is like this like

1:14:09

wow it's It's so cool all the

1:14:11

way around and I love the details.

1:14:14

I love the details and the quality

1:14:16

of the product is so high. And.

1:14:19

I did. In fact when I started

1:14:21

doing my shows I will spend extra

1:14:24

money so that my stage looks. Like.

1:14:26

A special a dozen just look like us

1:14:28

they just built the States Begin the microphone

1:14:30

there's a curtain I was doing is think

1:14:32

know man I have production I tell people

1:14:34

my shows Ww He Meets The Food Network.

1:14:37

Yes, Is no and by the way

1:14:39

your stadium feeling sorry for Dodgers there

1:14:41

for your daughter. So. It

1:14:43

looked your status so beautiful. I love

1:14:45

your logo of you going like this

1:14:47

like it looks so good with your

1:14:50

palm trees is incredible. To money well spent as

1:14:52

you see those Yeah, yeah, I know. As soon as you

1:14:54

walk out with i Love It and you want to

1:14:56

make people. Feel like the money that they

1:14:58

spent that were on your show? Wow,

1:15:00

look at this you know? And and

1:15:02

so I definitely. I have no problem

1:15:04

spending money on making my show look

1:15:06

better. I know I'm gonna go out

1:15:09

there and give the best freaking comedy

1:15:11

show I can give. But

1:15:13

they're not just their. you know, I'm

1:15:15

not there for the entire experience. In

1:15:17

all, I'm not. They're walking in the

1:15:19

front door seeing this. I'm not there.

1:15:21

Sitting down early on. you know that

1:15:23

the people are still in that environment

1:15:25

and so you want to give them

1:15:27

as much. You. Know as you can

1:15:30

at least I do and I I feel

1:15:32

that we want to go to wrestling events

1:15:34

when I'm at a wrestling event on my

1:15:36

medical license or kinds of stuff. We got

1:15:38

the screens and the intros are always big

1:15:40

and loud and you know there's twenty different

1:15:43

t shirts I can buy all Mannix doesn't.

1:15:45

This is cool because I'm a teacher like

1:15:47

you know. I liked all of that and

1:15:49

so I said Man, I go A this

1:15:51

is working. The lines are long for the

1:15:53

March and I think that's a lot of

1:15:55

times of comics missed the boat on that.

1:15:58

There's like you. Can you can. Definitely.

1:16:02

Do. A whole nother business. You know? if

1:16:04

you got people there that are really supporting

1:16:06

you and they're already invested in what you

1:16:08

do, you know they're just gonna help promote

1:16:10

you more. If you put it as track,

1:16:12

put a teacher out there see, see what

1:16:14

happens? Early. On

1:16:16

all I saw were Cds. Oh

1:16:19

and my buddy Martine goes to get us. Are

1:16:21

some teachers on like why am I going to

1:16:23

school Teacher Marty and I go. The Cd cost

1:16:25

me seventy five cents to make. I sell it

1:16:27

for twenty autographed yet sanded Martine. It's a certain

1:16:29

if I said adults your coffee for fifty to

1:16:31

make and I'd sell it for twenty. I go.

1:16:34

I'm losing money. On that in

1:16:36

mom and my mind he was yeah but

1:16:38

people want to shirts wouldn't want cds. I

1:16:40

know they don't try. Citizen

1:16:43

Right and hundred raining I read. Why

1:16:45

is there are guys who sister. Is

1:16:48

like giving you money idea either. I

1:16:50

good friends and then A but then once up

1:16:53

but then once I started doing that the the

1:16:55

merge I wanted to merge to be of the

1:16:57

highest quality I don't want. Jang

1:16:59

T. hokey freakin in all the

1:17:02

shirts feeling all wrong for being

1:17:04

cut off. weird but i forget

1:17:06

the the brand that everybody would

1:17:08

use a roof sheath. Ah,

1:17:11

water. Want to put on a body? Another binary around.

1:17:13

I gotta admit, I. Guess

1:17:16

I know exactly you talking about as when I did

1:17:18

my merchandise there were like this is what every bit

1:17:20

as using and I felt it I go i would

1:17:22

wear this and they said was no this is that

1:17:24

this is where you'll make the most money and I

1:17:26

said well that's also holding my breath on it example

1:17:28

my name us of the that I would aware of

1:17:30

stealing and robbing you if I do that and I

1:17:32

mean I'm lying to say that I wear this on

1:17:34

a wedding where the sea of a lot of respect

1:17:37

when it comes to your art that ah yes why

1:17:39

you're you're very were Europe and and also to lead.

1:17:41

I. Wanted the best of the best so that

1:17:43

everything on. Putting out there, even if.

1:17:45

I'm at even if I could make more money

1:17:47

by using. Cheaper. Things.

1:17:50

I. Don't want that. I wanted to be

1:17:52

compared to. Like. When people come onto

1:17:55

the shows what was like risk the show.

1:17:57

As Big Merc's lines are long people are

1:17:59

excited. It's. Environment: There's families that like.

1:18:01

I love that people compare my show

1:18:03

to wrestling like it's a thing. Everybody

1:18:06

that walks around states has an intro

1:18:08

video that plays As or Walk Him

1:18:10

Out. In. Orbit comes out to big

1:18:12

music and lights and movements and own and I

1:18:15

come out and it's all bagel regular. Oh my

1:18:17

god it's like. It's

1:18:19

like wrestling. So yes very much I I

1:18:22

i I liked what they were doing and

1:18:24

I wanted us. To. Do that

1:18:26

and so you know. getting the the

1:18:28

paying for a really good artist to

1:18:30

design my stuff. Paying for really good

1:18:32

artist too you know Acree either you

1:18:35

know the original logo which took when

1:18:37

in so many different directions to get

1:18:39

its were or it is now and

1:18:41

and and. Being. Able to.

1:18:44

Create products and stuff and and

1:18:46

and build these relationships with companies

1:18:48

like fungal. Fonkoze.

1:18:51

One of those things were like now I saw Funk or Pops

1:18:53

on the road. But. We I had

1:18:55

established that relationships, but they needed to see

1:18:57

that my brand was a certain level for

1:18:59

them to want to work with me. same

1:19:01

thing would like Up a Be or any

1:19:04

these other brands that likes Volkswagen. They needed

1:19:06

to see that I was at a certain

1:19:08

place for them to go. Okay, and you

1:19:10

do that by investing in yourself, spending the

1:19:12

money to make sure you're giving the most

1:19:15

quality possible. And yes, you can save money.

1:19:17

Yes, you can use cheaper things, but in

1:19:19

the long run, you know, spend the money.

1:19:22

Put. Up good quality stuff and then watch

1:19:24

as people will gravitate towards that. In all,

1:19:26

people want to make that quick money. right

1:19:28

now. no one's willing to take the time

1:19:31

to pot plant the seed. No one wants

1:19:33

to plant the seed baron. Want a whole

1:19:35

truth and want the longer they want the

1:19:38

money right now. Nobel on the plant the

1:19:40

seed because not a lot of people dug

1:19:42

the ditch. Look at their

1:19:44

what about full circle right? So a lot

1:19:47

of epic a set us up before we

1:19:49

get started. On

1:19:52

that side. Lover you care so much of a

1:19:54

your audience and few tricks on how you would want

1:19:56

to be treated you like what would I wanna the

1:19:58

south and you get that. For them with I

1:20:01

think it is wonderful. And the first,

1:20:03

However, the comedy. a joke or maybe open up

1:20:05

from his. Are you gonna come on stage and

1:20:07

my brother, government or job never run a joke?

1:20:09

I loved your jaws. He's got such a big

1:20:11

heart My mom and dad lie. So much energy

1:20:13

opened the door. You'd come to our house after

1:20:15

show. I'm not exaggerating. Three. O'clock in

1:20:17

the morning my mom's making for dinner

1:20:19

for him and everybody on his team

1:20:22

were hanging out and he is without

1:20:24

a doubt one of the most kind

1:20:26

hearted human beings I've ever met in

1:20:28

my life. And. Before.

1:20:31

I left in heat up I was starting

1:20:33

to learn from him. He t said look

1:20:35

at man and in promise me this he

1:20:37

goes never sell a ticket. And. Less

1:20:39

you know for affected by it again. He

1:20:42

goes because once you select ticket. That.

1:20:44

Nobody would want to buy again. He goes

1:20:46

the word of mouth. Of not buying your

1:20:49

ticket. It's forever he goes People

1:20:51

would not go to your shows for had my

1:20:53

first show last year. is it a podcast and

1:20:55

of thing and everybody on the way out because

1:20:57

I did a free me angry were give everybody

1:20:59

hard on the way out the all said I

1:21:01

can't wait for the next one. Can

1:21:03

we for the next one? And I thought

1:21:06

it's because truly I listened to him when

1:21:08

he said do not ever go out and

1:21:10

just try to make a dollar. And

1:21:12

I think a lot of people in my

1:21:15

shoes I call myself the spoils celebrity right?

1:21:17

Cause I came from social media and was

1:21:19

given to me I didn't truly early at

1:21:21

the level of these other comics that were

1:21:23

out there putting stuff on on Winch Larger

1:21:25

Tmz and I know that Sedona disrespect anybody

1:21:27

and I and I truly put in that

1:21:29

time to make sure that. I'm. In

1:21:32

your guys as industry and I want to make

1:21:34

sure you guys know that I really do respect

1:21:36

this graph and on putting in the hours of

1:21:38

done Ah. But points. Out

1:21:40

right before I wanna say for the first time. She

1:21:42

looks at me cause I want you to. This will always

1:21:45

make you feel better when you go out there. Know this

1:21:47

deep in your heart. When. You go after.

1:21:49

Good or bad, Never

1:21:52

forget. They. Will forget

1:21:54

you immediately when they see me. And I go

1:21:56

on. Geico,

1:22:02

Like a good links to the

1:22:04

data such as. Good

1:22:07

or bad Zeal for usa Will forget you have

1:22:09

ago Kiss her a lot. Of

1:22:12

you have anybody to you on stage or mental

1:22:14

you. Oh ago as

1:22:16

as they're good as it does your older

1:22:18

oh we have like a brother we have

1:22:20

we been hanging up so much are we

1:22:23

would go see are you to at the

1:22:25

sphere. Of forces you to. You

1:22:27

to you know the room, the been you

1:22:29

do with or without Bonnell. Everybody has their

1:22:31

on their fallen. You buy your phone there's already you

1:22:33

to download. It's. Your opponent or guys are

1:22:36

you do that. A because his

1:22:38

as are you to of gases such as

1:22:40

a new which he went to go see

1:22:42

them as the in Vegas at the Sphere

1:22:44

which if anybody gets a chance to see

1:22:46

a show at the Smear it's an incredible

1:22:48

experience. It's you know you're immersed in it

1:22:50

your it's it's a screen that that max's

1:22:52

out your peripheral vision so it's the screens

1:22:54

as in your and golf. The only thing

1:22:56

that I can compare to would be like

1:22:58

if you're wearing Vr goggles and I he

1:23:00

did you try the apple is it not

1:23:02

yet? Because I'm scared that I'm gonna like

1:23:04

it too much. And. I'm gonna wanna. Spend.

1:23:07

My life in there. I. Feel like you're would

1:23:09

be addicting and I'm afraid of of like a

1:23:12

man I want to enjoy this life. I don't

1:23:14

wanna go and when you know who you are

1:23:16

you ever did did any video games or to

1:23:18

believe that early on and tend to and stuff

1:23:20

like that but when stuff like that one maria

1:23:23

I'm I'm max thought about at blowing the cartridge.

1:23:25

yes it's out that doesn't. About game long as

1:23:27

you ever like you put. Toothpaste on a

1:23:29

Cd of you guys ever done that

1:23:31

toothpaste? Or it's it's it's it's a

1:23:33

thing. He has his own addressing the

1:23:35

Scots a oh yes, it's a thing

1:23:37

or of a Yazidi with back to

1:23:39

the joke or for seconds incredibly nice

1:23:42

human being. He's very genuine which is

1:23:44

hard to find in this industry and

1:23:46

I'm I'm lucky to com friends and

1:23:48

I'm excited that we have the same

1:23:50

team. So. His. Managers: My Manager

1:23:52

oh his Agent My agent, New promoter,

1:23:55

My promoter. So we have the same

1:23:57

people around us So it's nice because.

1:24:00

You know, There's.

1:24:02

Trust their and you feel comfortable and that

1:24:04

sets pretty awesome. And the level he's at

1:24:06

maths I love what he he crashes my

1:24:08

shows and then I'll crashes shown so like

1:24:10

you know it and I think those are

1:24:12

the makes about use Incredible mans like truly

1:24:15

incredible like that man loves you like full

1:24:17

in not because your success of who you

1:24:19

are as a human being and I'm very

1:24:21

happy that you guys have each other because

1:24:23

it's dust at the in this industry. Be

1:24:25

lonely, sometimes you wanna get excited, talk about

1:24:27

something and sometimes to year or two friends

1:24:30

that are not an industry see but you're

1:24:32

bragging. Oh yes, you are like flexing or that, but.

1:24:34

You're. Like it was an obstacle that they didn't understand

1:24:36

that you. Had. To go through but your friend will

1:24:38

drop your be like yeah I understand we're going

1:24:40

through. I'm really happy you have that are you

1:24:42

are you positive and he had if he's super

1:24:44

close with if he had his birther. their home

1:24:46

is man or bodies the grew I don't Do

1:24:48

you have anybody like that. In.

1:24:51

The been my buddy Martines. You know

1:24:53

I mean earth eat. The thing with

1:24:55

me is that once I started. Working.

1:24:58

And going on the road. I. Stayed on

1:25:00

the road and so. Unfortunately,

1:25:03

I didn't. I wasn't able to branch

1:25:05

out and build all these relationships here

1:25:07

at home because I was always out.

1:25:09

I was always gone, so I wasn't

1:25:11

able to get into certain circles because

1:25:13

I wasn't around. And I

1:25:16

feel like that's why the relationship I

1:25:18

have with my friend Martine and him

1:25:20

anybody around me is so strong because

1:25:22

would been on the road together for

1:25:24

so many years. So. Many

1:25:26

years ago he just did what I am a

1:25:28

memory. Yeah. But as as far as

1:25:30

like you know anybody like that no man it's

1:25:33

I thought it was cool that he brought Tiffany

1:25:35

to my show. Other. It'll

1:25:37

and added from Tiffany's Him back back in the day.

1:25:40

It's not the Laugh Factory and stuff. But

1:25:43

I didn't have anybody that that I was

1:25:45

coming up with new and all because I

1:25:47

was, I was already gone. And

1:25:50

what was your first? like break? like where you're

1:25:52

like oh shoot this is really gonna spin mean

1:25:54

a different direction. Ah

1:25:58

did a television show called Guy Locals. Back.

1:26:02

In the early two thousand and

1:26:04

it was a show that was.

1:26:07

It was the. Like.

1:26:09

Latino version of of Def Jam.

1:26:11

basically. If if that makes

1:26:13

sense it was a will know she's right

1:26:16

is it was a show that that that

1:26:18

showcased new to new up and coming talent.

1:26:20

Gotta yeah but it was all it was

1:26:22

very latin driven with everybody was the people

1:26:24

of color on the show yeah and it

1:26:26

was on this network called Gala Vision Television

1:26:28

and. Gonna be see. It's

1:26:31

a Spanish network so everything's in

1:26:33

Spanish at soccer games as boxing,

1:26:35

it's soap operas, everything's in Spanish.

1:26:37

I was just everyday source these

1:26:39

comedy show was on the network

1:26:41

and it was an English and

1:26:43

so it was the weirdest thing

1:26:45

because. The. Network didn't

1:26:47

have a lot of of of

1:26:49

original programming to put up. The

1:26:52

comedy show was there's show so they

1:26:54

would run the shit out of that

1:26:56

show. All. Day that show would

1:26:59

air once they had up a bunch of

1:27:01

episodes. That aired to three

1:27:03

times per day and so people would

1:27:05

always like a it was just there

1:27:07

in on this is before we all

1:27:09

the you tube and all that stuff

1:27:11

so you vs surface of the young.

1:27:13

The. Other channels plus

1:27:15

they ran ads for the in I Don't

1:27:18

Forget to Miss or the cats, the show

1:27:20

blah blah us and then we the telcos

1:27:22

tour and there were there were promoting the

1:27:24

tour and they would promote it three four

1:27:26

times in our see your Elegant People skull

1:27:28

was always on the screen and so that's

1:27:30

what got my face out there nice and

1:27:32

and I was able to build off of

1:27:34

that because we gotta that these markets were

1:27:36

before I was doing a comedy club and

1:27:39

with radio and promotion and been really promoting

1:27:41

it's I could sell tickets but man being

1:27:43

on one commercial. From that show, we

1:27:45

were able to select theaters Whoa Gas!

1:27:47

So that was the huge first jump

1:27:49

right there. And I already had a

1:27:51

Comedy Central special under my belt at

1:27:53

that point. And that

1:27:55

Comedy Central special only got me credibility to

1:27:58

get booked. but it didn't. The

1:28:00

Medically Equal tickets. This show Equal

1:28:02

tickets. Let people been watching. Live.

1:28:04

In Waterloo? Gonna we're. About the want to

1:28:06

conceal now. So it's a for our would

1:28:08

love to walk through this right? I.

1:28:10

Wanna know the first time you sold out

1:28:13

the club cedar and Stadium because all three

1:28:15

are like. I. Know there was

1:28:17

significantly different ticket sales but to the horror

1:28:19

it's like a it's the same thing with

1:28:21

you cheat from the you work for. Do

1:28:23

you remember these days or why remember the

1:28:25

club? The club was in Texas, El Paso,

1:28:27

Texas for some reason getting back to Texas

1:28:29

against. Yeah, I

1:28:32

sold out of a comedy

1:28:34

club called The Comic Strip

1:28:36

and El Paso and I

1:28:38

remember hearing stories about Carlos

1:28:40

Men sia Ah. Selling.

1:28:42

Tickets. And. They're like

1:28:44

yam and see a he to walk out here with

1:28:47

Twenty five k. He.

1:28:49

Walked out here were twenty five. came in

1:28:51

on my. Dad just blew

1:28:53

my mind. What are you freaking kidding me?

1:28:55

Like because of the time of the comic

1:28:58

making what as a feature? Five hundred

1:29:00

dollars for the week. So.

1:29:02

How many nights wrote some it as I target

1:29:04

else like five Shot yeah as a feature. And

1:29:07

to hear that somebody could make twenty

1:29:09

five thousand like. Oh

1:29:11

My. God. Like that. I don't have to do

1:29:13

one show year set up at the one one

1:29:15

week. You know what it means to see us

1:29:17

as so. I. Remember

1:29:20

when I when I finally got a

1:29:22

door deal you get a door deal

1:29:24

and that it was all negotiated an

1:29:26

I had. I. Made seventeen

1:29:28

thousand dollars. The

1:29:31

entire weekend was sold out at at the at

1:29:33

the club. And. I was just

1:29:35

like wow and on legs. Are.

1:29:38

You kidding me? I'm just. I just stared

1:29:40

at the check and just like this is

1:29:42

insane. How many people can I'd like to

1:29:44

read last night? Assist assess know and I'll

1:29:46

believe me I did this. I

1:29:49

don't mind about your people and I think that's

1:29:52

why it hurts you when they try to throw

1:29:54

you with the guilt because you like do you

1:29:56

have no idea? Canada and the guilt trips Man

1:29:58

it's as sucks is it sucks. And

1:30:00

I I hate disappointing. I

1:30:02

hate. Telling. People know it's

1:30:04

it's and all. Embrace

1:30:07

Are you want to do everything? You

1:30:09

want this is a little. you provide laughter

1:30:11

and smile. Your goal is to make you

1:30:13

when you walk in. I want you to

1:30:15

be happier now and then leave. That's your

1:30:17

like the doctor of laughter right? So when

1:30:20

your own loved ones are looking at you

1:30:22

and they know who you are and then

1:30:24

they say that two things happen. One. You.

1:30:26

Go! Do you even know who I am? You.

1:30:29

See me do this for strangers. You know what I

1:30:31

do for my family and your choosing me to be

1:30:33

something I'm not that breaks you to then you're like

1:30:35

okay, Are you here for the wrong reasons? Am I

1:30:37

Am I. A mirage

1:30:39

Now at this point and in the

1:30:41

second thing is. Okay,

1:30:43

now now I have learned I can do this for

1:30:45

somebody and the that also hurts because there's a lot

1:30:48

of joy you do when you set somebody up for

1:30:50

success Like I'll never forget, The Jo Koy was the

1:30:52

one that brought males. this. I'll always give him credit

1:30:54

for that and I look forward to doing something successful.

1:30:56

Zoc, you go out to be like Joe. Look what

1:30:58

I did when you give me that opportunity and I'd

1:31:00

appreciate if somebody plays ball with me that way. But

1:31:02

when they don't, it hurts mint. There's only one thing

1:31:05

that six my positioning on that thought. Was.

1:31:07

Got. Because. My mom with

1:31:09

them and she goes hey. See,

1:31:12

your friend breaks your heart like three times in a row.

1:31:15

How many times have you ask God for forgiveness

1:31:17

on the same thing that you promised them you

1:31:19

wouldn't do and you you know your heart. You

1:31:21

didn't mean to do that but your surroundings and

1:31:23

your emotions made you lead to make that decision.

1:31:25

So show them grace and know that God bless

1:31:27

to this way because he knows you could handle

1:31:29

this type of life and so when somebody else

1:31:31

fails you in your eyes he shouldn't look at

1:31:33

them be like look at just how to do

1:31:35

to make set. The sad truth is look at

1:31:37

you doing to yourself man because I know you're

1:31:39

doing this to me you're gonna be doing this

1:31:41

Other people and people catch on. Which

1:31:45

got details yet? not yet. Here's this this

1:31:47

this this felt that on before we wrap

1:31:49

up I gotta talk about magical place. And.

1:31:52

It's Disneyland. Okay, I know you're part of the

1:31:54

thirty Three club. I am.

1:31:56

Ah, I am not part of the

1:31:59

Thirty Three club but I am really

1:32:01

good friends with someone who is. Got

1:32:03

it. Club: Thirty Three: Those very exclusive

1:32:05

and you can't just walk in there.

1:32:08

You. Can't just walk in there A It

1:32:10

requires a membership. It requires people are

1:32:12

waiting list to get on you that

1:32:14

there's a whole process just to be

1:32:16

able to go in that. The reason

1:32:19

I brought it up is because the

1:32:21

dining experience there's crazy. But.

1:32:23

Have you had the chef's table? The.

1:32:25

Chef's table know. Haven't

1:32:28

had a chef's table. Can we

1:32:30

please explain Your gonna get so excited my friend calls

1:32:32

me up site okay to does have been to Disneyland

1:32:34

I was like really amazing as wanna what we the

1:32:37

Disney star so they go and they give you that

1:32:39

treatment and in my mind idol this is the best

1:32:41

you can get a Disney Land. There's no way they're

1:32:43

going to treat you better than this. Live

1:32:46

a freak friend named Aj and he has nothing

1:32:48

to do It does the and is not an

1:32:50

industry at all but my god this man will

1:32:52

hunt for like is the best deals, the best

1:32:55

coupons, the best situations so sitting there to calls

1:32:57

me goes we just got the chef's table and

1:32:59

I was like or idol all like split the

1:33:01

city would go to soy five hundred like also

1:33:03

what that he goes yeah three five hundred but

1:33:06

he goes to adopt only relic you're gonna love

1:33:08

This is gonna come with this room and this

1:33:10

and this and I are right. It's an

1:33:12

experience. I like experiences specially dinners

1:33:14

I love to do. This was try.

1:33:17

And mind you for this reservation he has a

1:33:19

you can only say get a reservation He is

1:33:21

the way for certain. Call the happens like once

1:33:23

a year and you have to call at midnight.

1:33:26

To. Get the and there's only like one the you

1:33:28

can get her teaching get dips below thirty two tables.

1:33:30

So you if you don't get it you don't get it assesses so

1:33:33

he gets it and I didn't I big of a deal is was.

1:33:36

We. Get there. We sit down as a

1:33:38

five course meal. You. Get

1:33:40

know menus. The. Chef comes up to

1:33:42

you. And it just sits. There are fluffy.

1:33:44

Tommy. Myself a new start talking and he

1:33:46

goes okay enough and I'll talk to somebody

1:33:48

else to tell me some of Isis is

1:33:50

I suppose. That. Little go to the

1:33:52

next one and then we get five

1:33:55

meals that are perfectly for us. And

1:33:57

it a blew my mind. A was the

1:33:59

most. Magical! Wow dinner I've ever met Thirty

1:34:01

three know as as a disney but it

1:34:03

it's not up about not as others have

1:34:05

club thirty three hours as soon as compare

1:34:07

because I thought maybe you've done both I

1:34:09

wanted to know name of the places assist

1:34:11

table or non illinois the chef's table yet.

1:34:14

None of the experiences the sustainable but

1:34:16

the rest sausages call something road but

1:34:18

the rest of the restaurant is next

1:34:20

to the California hotel the up sooner

1:34:22

than the California hotel that touch the

1:34:24

California side of things right it's the

1:34:26

restaurant like attached that hotel and tossing

1:34:28

it's rose. I don't know what carbs I

1:34:30

don't have. You got to tell me what's yeah?

1:34:32

Suck it up. So the reason I brought this

1:34:34

up as if I could magically is possibly get

1:34:36

that table would you have dinner with neither. Snow

1:34:39

nor to try to look. this is

1:34:41

just another also a mountain glaciers. Are

1:34:45

no. But seriously, later. As a mother went

1:34:47

and by the way and by the

1:34:49

way this what happens wait assists. the

1:34:51

suicide of about a sub is a

1:34:53

hard surface as he heard me crying.

1:34:55

Large act as good food and isn't

1:34:57

that enough? is he says contribute a

1:34:59

slice of a lift weights after? Yeah

1:35:01

sure see I thought about it will

1:35:03

bring your supporters will fall apart not

1:35:05

yammering sooner. He walked in. apartments severe

1:35:07

as. Well, as you wanna know because

1:35:09

I saw there was some speculation on line

1:35:12

as on article that came from a January

1:35:14

Twenty Four that said that you were thinking

1:35:16

about retiring after this tour. Is

1:35:19

that something they you still considering. I.

1:35:22

Had said it because I really felt like

1:35:24

you know I had jumped the shark after

1:35:26

Dodger Stadium on like among the other side

1:35:28

of it now has how do you. Would.

1:35:31

You do, Then you know Mike. What's the next? goal? How do you.

1:35:34

Mean. Most. People never achieve

1:35:36

that now in life. And to. Didn't

1:35:38

like I felt like the me when I did

1:35:40

Dodger Stadium on like. You. Know thought was

1:35:42

to die tomorrow. There. Is the

1:35:44

movie. New York. I mean, for like.

1:35:47

okay. So now we did it. Now.

1:35:49

What are we going to do? like? Oh my God

1:35:51

We're We're literally on the other side. I'm on the

1:35:53

other side of I picked out. Now.

1:35:55

On the other end. so I'm like. What?

1:35:59

Else can I bring to the? Table. And your

1:36:01

I mean and so like I'm very

1:36:03

if I need a goal I need

1:36:05

be something to work towards of you

1:36:07

sound If you know I have I

1:36:09

have I have found the the next

1:36:11

goal or irrelevant know I'll tell you

1:36:13

know Second, but I've I've struggled with

1:36:15

that whole idea of retiring just because

1:36:17

I feel like I work so much.

1:36:19

I spend so much time on the

1:36:21

road and I'm away from from this.

1:36:23

I'm away from friends, I'm away from

1:36:25

family. I'm away because I'm at work

1:36:27

and I'm enjoying it. But it's also

1:36:29

taxing. And

1:36:31

I said you know what? as I think I've done very

1:36:34

well for myself and. Let's. Go enjoy

1:36:36

the fruits of the labor And I'm saying and

1:36:38

little I did. I did say I even said

1:36:40

I'm on stage or make I think this is.

1:36:42

Now. But. The problem is, I still love

1:36:45

it. I still love it. And. And

1:36:47

I'm young A and and. But I'm also

1:36:49

afraid of. Of going stale.

1:36:51

I'm afraid of people seeing the show ongoing.

1:36:54

You know what? I use that as funny

1:36:56

as he used to be, I might you

1:36:58

know I don't want. People. Getting

1:37:00

a watered down version. Of

1:37:03

the show saw Anita L. can't that's one six

1:37:05

don't like. Okay we gotta go do more shows.

1:37:07

Get through This represents go in this angle born

1:37:09

that angle. try something different and I'll and wrestling.

1:37:12

It's called a. Month

1:37:14

when people start fizzling out. And

1:37:16

they're good guys. The do this thing called a heel turn. Were.

1:37:19

All of a sudden I was a good

1:37:21

guy. Nom. a bad guy so I feel

1:37:23

like I still have that in in mind.

1:37:26

Scene. Where as a comic who doesn't get

1:37:28

political, doesn't get controversial, doesn't get in certain

1:37:30

veins? Certain topics. There's a lot of things

1:37:33

I shy away from because I don't want

1:37:35

to ruffle feathers, because I want to have

1:37:37

people that come out a in. and I

1:37:39

want to bring people together, not divide people.

1:37:42

In all sides of people know that that's that's

1:37:44

the show that I do. I bring people together,

1:37:47

but if I ever get to a place where

1:37:49

I I feel like. You. Know.

1:37:52

As as I could ever do anything different

1:37:54

to. Reinvent. Myself in other

1:37:56

could be a thing where maybe all

1:37:58

of a sudden I. I have. A

1:38:01

real strong opinion about things I learned this

1:38:03

year for we really are. You came out

1:38:05

of the elevator and you said hey, I'm

1:38:07

excited about the show. And the first

1:38:09

thing I said you after watching reform I said hey man.

1:38:12

I guess your lot of your opinions are you

1:38:14

going that direction and like was very excited about

1:38:16

that because you didn't have such a funny way

1:38:19

and was light hearted. but I could tell all

1:38:21

your perspectives are now being shown. That's a cool

1:38:23

thing as I get it. Okay so the he'll

1:38:25

turn his you're doing this and if god forbid

1:38:27

they say always be to like this that's your

1:38:30

church to switch. but you're actually just try to

1:38:32

show people. What's. In your heart and out

1:38:34

of hello. I'm really trying. Yeah, so I'm. I'm

1:38:37

putting up there like stopped. It's

1:38:39

like wolves you but. I'm

1:38:41

the. The trick is to be able

1:38:43

to do it in a comedic with

1:38:45

people are still getting the last, people

1:38:47

are still getting the shelf and it's

1:38:49

not coming across preachy or you know?

1:38:51

here's the agenda, you know? But I'm

1:38:53

I'm telling these stories where I'm letting

1:38:56

people know more about me. like like

1:38:58

the stuff that we would talk about

1:39:00

if we go get a drink. Yeah,

1:39:02

like a like Oregon an opinion I'll

1:39:04

tell you. I try not to put

1:39:06

that out there so that the reinventing

1:39:08

part is starting to introduce real opinions

1:39:10

into the show. But. Do it in

1:39:12

a way that it do it in the style

1:39:14

that I've been doing it and you're finally. Ready

1:39:16

to share that part of you and be more?

1:39:18

I'm. Owning so there is a joke you better than

1:39:21

I thought about a lot. I don't wanna say it

1:39:23

now because of my be i'm eternally you're working on

1:39:25

for the future. But there was one thing you said

1:39:27

a beep it up so we could just like covered

1:39:29

by it was. Ah

1:39:33

yes that to me. I thought about it every

1:39:35

day since you said that because I was like

1:39:37

damn, I never thought about it. From that point

1:39:39

of view, that could be so. Demotivating

1:39:41

and annoying. But then

1:39:44

also was thinking about me being a Syrian nobody

1:39:46

even knowing who I was. So like I was

1:39:48

like. I. Wish somebody even knew

1:39:50

what my people were. I'm.

1:39:53

Excited to see your new worth

1:39:55

of their Am! So yeah I'm

1:39:57

I'm gonna be recording any special

1:39:59

in July and yeah, so. How

1:40:03

do you top that last show that

1:40:05

I did? There is no topping that

1:40:07

particular show. That's A and done. I'll

1:40:09

never do Dodger Stadium again, nor do

1:40:11

I want to do it again. It's

1:40:13

special because I did it once. in

1:40:15

all some I'm grateful that it happen

1:40:17

and best night of my life for

1:40:19

me to wanna stay excited and want

1:40:21

to continue to be a comic. I

1:40:23

definitely needed to start introducing new ideas

1:40:25

into the show and this new special.

1:40:27

I think you heard some of the

1:40:29

material already like. The

1:40:31

spices it is. it's gotta. Love the color looks, hang

1:40:33

on it and I don't know how people are

1:40:36

going to receive it, but I think it's one

1:40:38

of those things where you know along this road

1:40:40

you have people that you know. Get.

1:40:42

On the bus and people that get off

1:40:44

the bus and fortunately more people are getting on

1:40:46

the bus than getting off and I think

1:40:48

as long as there's growth in because every day

1:40:51

on one a monitoring social media and I'm

1:40:53

looking at numbers and it always shows you

1:40:55

how many new followers you have but it also

1:40:57

shows you how many people on followed you

1:40:59

and that as I move. really what a do

1:41:01

that sam the sense that know what I

1:41:03

post the lead to that but then it's

1:41:05

like but you see the new follows and as

1:41:07

long as a new followers are bigger than

1:41:09

the on follows. A thinker. Okay yeah

1:41:11

I'm going to see that side of the

1:41:14

oldest. this material yeah this is very or

1:41:16

is great it's gonna be You know? I

1:41:18

have to say I think a source from what

1:41:20

I watched you on Joe Stage is one of

1:41:22

my favorite materials is done. Because. I

1:41:24

felt like you are literally peaking back the curtain and letting

1:41:26

us be able to see from your point of this and

1:41:28

set of that story they are telling like you know I'm

1:41:30

in a it's a. I'm. Excited for you!

1:41:33

I'm excited for the second mound for you to climb. Thank.

1:41:35

You so much for being here as the officer

1:41:37

and I can't wait! For. Us to do is

1:41:39

on what I'm a good as the Disney

1:41:41

dinner. Food: yes, Vote surfaces or for six.

1:41:43

Days you.
