With roughly 70% of Black American children living in single-parent households, many have suggested that U.S welfare policy damaged the Black Family structure while others have placed blame on other social issues.  On Wednesday, September 1st, 2021, affirmative debater Kimani White argued the premise that "Welfare diminished the Black Family Structure against negative debater Jony Espinal
