His guest this month is Haylee E. Borgstrom, MD, MS, a sports medicine physiatrist who specializes in non-surgical treatment of sports and musculoskeletal injuries. As a former athlete herself, she values teamwork - frequently collaborating with coaches, athletic trainers, physical therapists, surgeons and other allied health professionals in order to return athletes to the activities they love as quickly and safely as possible. Additionally, she understands the high physical demands of recovering from injury and is committed to evidence-based care to optimize injury prevention, treatment, and performance.

Dr. Borgstrom received her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Biology, master’s degree in Exercise Science & Biomechanics, and medical degree from the University of California, Davis, where she also competed on the Division I women’s basketball team as team captain. She completed her Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) residency at Harvard Medical School/Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, where she served as chief resident. Following residency, she completed a fellowship in PM&R Sports Medicine at Harvard/Spaulding.
