His guest for this week's podcast is Dr. Kristin Hung is an Urogynecologist in the FPMRS division of the OB/GYN Department at MGH and an instructor at Harvard Medical School. She is board-certified in OB/GYN and fellowship-trained in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS).

Dr. Hung evaluates and treats patients with pelvic floor disorders, focusing on both the conservative (non-surgical) and surgical approaches to pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence. She specializes in minimally invasive surgical approaches, including vaginal surgery, traditional laparoscopy, and robotically assisted laparoscopic surgeries. Dr. Hung sees patients at MGH Boston and MGH West in Waltham and performs surgery at MGH Boston and Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

Her training includes a three-year fellowship in FPMRS at MGH and a residency in OB/GYN at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (Boston, MA). She obtained her medical degree from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, MI) and graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College (Cambridge, MA) with a Bachelors in History and Science. Dr. Hung's prior and current research interests include factors affecting recurrent urinary tract infections and implementation of shared decision-making tools in FPMRS.
