This month we chat to Marisol Collins about her work studying the epidemiology of Echinococcus parasites for the HyData Project. The aim of the project is to investigate the distribution of Echinococcus granulosus in the UK. This initial question has spawned a large number of sub-projects involving abattoirs, hunting hounds, sheepdogs and even zoo animals.
