Barry Eidlin is a comparative historical sociologist who studies class, politics, and institutional change. Currently, he is an Associate Professor of Sociology at McGill University.Eidlin's work has appeared in Jacobin, Marxist Sociology Blog, The Washington Post, the Washington Post, The Conversation, Truthout, and CounterPunch. His first book, "Labor and the Class Idea in the United States and Canada," was published in 2018.Eidlin received his B.A. in Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies from Oberlin College, his M.A. and Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of California Berkeley.
