My first episode of ‘not aving’ it’ – eeeek go easy on me.

Before we get into it, I wanted to use this episode to introduce myself and give a bit of context to why I have started this podcast. Within this episode, I am going to be putting myself in the hot seat and getting my story out there, which is a little nerve-wracking.

This episode focuses on my journey to court, and my application for a child arrangement order. I am not legally qualified, but I can explain the processes I went through and step-by-step take you through the documents you need, and how to make your application. I hope this helps someone who is struggling to know how to make the first move.
You do not need a solicitor to make a child arrangement order, however, I do advise you to always seek legal advice where possible.

Please make sure you follow, like and share... Hope you enjoy!

The Not Aving' It Podcast

A "must-listen-to" podcast raising awareness on abusive relationships, and difficult topics. Talking through coping methods and how to get out of a situation you do not want to be in.   In 2020 as a  new mum I discovered my husband-to-be had developed a cocaine addiction. I have spent the last three years  battling through the family court and civil courts to keep my child and myself safe. When I tell my story which sometimes may come across as flippant, I want to explain that this isn’t me downplaying my situation or anyone’s situation who is going through something similar, but it’s my way of bringing light into a time where there was little to none. Full disclosure, I am not legally qualified. I have however spent a sh*t tone of money on legal advice over the years, scrolled immensely through Google, and watched ‘Legally Blonde’ far too many times. I believe my experiences and what I have learnt along the way will reach someone who needs to navigate the fight for themselves and their family.  We all look for a relatable story or situation in hard times, and within this podcast, I will include brave individuals who are willing to come forward to share their experiences.I hope through this podcast I become a friend, and a place to go when you need to hear a story to make yours seem not as bad, and most importantly this increases your confidence when you can’t see an end.Content warning: This podcast contains descriptions of domestic and family violence, as well as reference to eating disorders that some listeners may find confronting, challenging, or triggering.
