The plaintiff says he brought his SUV to the defendant’s shop to have a DVD player installed, and it’s never worked correctly. He says he’s tired of the runaround, so he’s suing for what he paid. The defendant says he installed the DVD unit under warranty, and it broke two days after it expired. He’s countersuing for slander.Then, the plaintiff says he bought a Maltese puppy from the defendant, but the dog was sick with parvo, and also had a hernia and kidney failure. He opted to put the puppy to sleep because he was suffering, so he’s suing for everything he’s owed. The defendant says the puppy was perfectly healthy and accuses the plaintiff’s vet of giving the dog a second parvo inoculation, which made him sick.Plus, the plaintiff says he dropped his lawn mower off at the defendant’s shop to sell, but they used it for their own personal tasks. On top of that, they’re trying to charge storage fees. He’s suing for the lawn mower “hostage” fees. The defendant says the plaintiff dropped off the mower for repairs, but the man didn’t come back for a year.
