The Self-Aware Millennial podcast is the recipient of the Jazz & Heritage Foundation's Louisiana Cultural Equity Arts Community Partnership Grant! This category supports new works from historically underrepresented creatives and arts organizations. It supports the creation, documentation, or exhibition of artworks that reflect, interpret, document, or preserve the indigenous culture of Louisiana.

The Self-Aware Millennial supports the mission of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation through its documentation of Black creatives in New Orleans and the emerging artists that have come from its influence. Secondly, our podcast has been adamant about inviting native New Orleanians on the show to speak on their unique experiences pre- and post-Hurricane Katrina. Lastly, TSAM’s live showcases Louisiana-bred artists and documents their creative and intellectual contributions to New Orleans culture.
